Mercearia Bio in Portimao

We stopped here for lunch and a coffee. Was very nice and reasonably priced. Great change from the other touristy traps close by.

Mercearia Bio is an organic store and cafe near the marina area in Portimao. I was visiting the place as a tourist and had Chickpea salad with Cappuccino. Both were excellent and the meal was freshly prepared. I will definitely visit it next time when I am in the area.

Nunca visitei a loja física mas já comprei várias vezes através do site e super recomendo. Produtos muito frescos, as leguminosas secas têm imensa qualidade e há imensa variedade de produtos que não se encontram facilmente. Chega tudo tão bem acondicionado que até dá pena desfazer a caixa :-)

The food here is okay but the products they sell are great. If youre looking for natural soaps, bamboo toothbrushes etc its perfect & theyve vegan cheese & vegan "meats" too.

Uma vergonha quiseram cobrar 1.5€ por uma garrafa de água. Não acham um exagero?No café paguei 0,95€. E no pingo doce a 200mt paga-se 0,30€.De facto por uma garrafa de água achei muito caro. Um bem essencial... Enfim.

Been shopping here since my arrival in the Algarve. My wife an I enjoy the friendly atmosphere and needless to write the food and service. They accommodate me quite well. I am handicapped and that is something they give allowances for, greatly appreciated. This morning bought several food items, in particular a large head of lettuce. Got home, cleaned and found a little critter in the mix of the lettuce. Well, was I upset, absolutely NOT. Once again, giving validity to the sold foods as organic.

Sorry but this was overpriced and really rubbish coffee. Used card to pay, min. spend 5€, guess how much two cappuccinos were? Exactly 5€. 🤔

Tasty treats and nice store.Worst coffee we have had in Portugal, super week, only offered soy or rice milk (because they’re the cheapestwhen they sell oat and almond. We would come to buy ingredients or food, definitely not for coffee.

I can only say: awesome! I do love this shop and the cassiers are sooo lovely. The shop is great looking! Really charming and detailed. Especially the fresh fruit and vegetable corner is really great since it is difficult to find fresh unpacked produce in all other supermarkets. The coffee is delicious and the food is delicious, too. Everything and prepared with love. Super super friendly service!

Lovely little health shop/cafe on the river. I had the vegan almond cake which was lovely. Good service and staff very polite.

Excellent service, nice drinks and food

Nice little organic shop with quality products and specialty items for sale. We had a wonderful coffee here and found a great natural sunscreen to beat the heat! Didnt have time to try any food from here but, it all looked good.

Nice Cappuccinos and really cute

We accidently walked by and had a soy capuccino. Good bio sortiment, bought some vegan protein and maca.

I have ordered on the 21st or the 22nd of September 2017 my goods, which were supposed to be delivered next Thursday the 26th of September. They werent. I called Mercearia Bio on Friday, 27th of September to know what happened, since that nobody advised me about any delay or problem. They have apologize and informed me that they would delivery the goods next Tuesday, 3rd of October 2017, which I suggested if it would be more convenient for Mercearia Bio to delivery the order on Wednesday, 4th it will be also fine for me. They have appreciated that and advised that it will be delivered on Wednesday, 4th. It wasnt. We called them and the advised that the transport informed them that they have tried first to deliver the order twice, being the last one "refused by the customer", which wasnt. They not even been in the site (confirmed by the security cameras after request). After having formalized the complaint by email last Friday, 6th of October, Mercearia Bio now advised that after all, the reason for not delivering was a broken item...so why did they advise us before that there was a refusal from us (customers)? Why they havent delivered all the items less the broken item...? Today its 12th of October, and we still havent received our goods. This is not a way of doing business. If something went wrong from Mercearia Bio side, then they should first of all apologize for the inconvenient, second never lie to a customer and third, present a solution which they are able to be fully committed with. We havent heard nothing from Mercearia Bio ever since, no solution, no goods, nothing. Very, very bad customer service.

Our favourite place to shop groceries. Love their juices and coffee. A very friendly staff!

A little oasis in an area where organic and vegan food is hard to find. A very courteous owner was willing to help with whatever we were looking for.
