Great place to grab ev8you need, great local food great taste.

Nice and friendly people all around the stores.Delicious Guatemalan food at low cost in the comedores which are very clean.

This is a really colourful and vibrant place that I surely recommend as long as you know that you will not be looking or shopping in peace and as long as you expect vendors to triple the price for you as a foreigner. I was greeted and asked to come in at every single stall that I passed ( and there are a lot!). Although vendors are not agresssive, I felt annoyed. I have watched recent Spanish YouTube videos of locals buying stuff there so I had an idea of the price but I was quoted 3 times more . I left after 30 min because I felt overwhelmed by the vendors and the inability to just look at something without having them pounce on me .I did see some very unique fruits and vegetables, unknown herbs and lots of colourful shoes, purses, cloths, clothing and crafts. It’s a must see but come prepared.

Great place to buy souvenirs, food, pottery and a lot of different products at great prices. It is the central market so theres is big variaty to choose from, I. Terms of products and sellers. Take care as it may not be safe to wonder outside. There is parking on site.

Cant go wrong with a soup from the comedor. Guatemala takes their caldos seriously.

Excellent place for traditional Guatemala shopping

The place to find all of your hand-made goods of Guatemala. Leather goods, clothing, fancy shirts, shoes, purses, and much, much more.Great food stalls available and always busy with vendors and customers. A nice place to shop for the day.

I wish I would’ve came here my first night in GC to buy produce and meats. This place has everything - your souvenir stores, meat markets, produce stands, seasoning sections, food court with breakfasts and lunches… EVERYTHING!

A busy market full of super fresh produce. Official market days are Monday, Thursday and Saturday when the freshest new arrivals will roll in. The market closes early (1pmon Sundays. Make sure you try some rambutans

What an incredible way to experience life through the eyes of the locals. One can find anything in the market, crafts, souvenirs, food, clothing, shoes, Piñatas and gifts.

Very nice marketplace, has allot of stuff to see and purchase if you’re interested in souvenirs, prices are reasonable and they are willing to bargain. It’s like a large flea market, 3 levels, with food/ fruits & vegetables and a large variety of home goods. Would recommend checking it out if you’re in Guatemala City

Local market with lots of crafts and a food court. Reasonable bartering prices. Its a fairly large 3 level underground maze of stalls with tiny walkways.

Great experience. A must do. Always be aware of your surroundings as in any part of the 🌎. But definitely a must.

Cool market. Make sure you explore the multiple levels that go below the street. First floor is an okay place to get souvenirs. Lower is an excellent place to pick up some fruits or other local food. Bathrooms available for a small fee.

I have never seen such a Central Market! Everything is well organised, vendors are very respectful and restaurants are popular but clean

A large market that has food and other items. The food variety is good, everything from fruit and veggies to all sorts of fresh meat. There are many places serving cooked food also. The non-food items are mostly trinkets, but theres also shoes and clothing.

Amazing market for handcrafts. I was blown away by the calm, friendly sellers. Safe, clean, chilled place to grab souvenirs. I was shocked... In a great way!

Went to the tipicos on second floor..... little things here and there but not of quality shirts shrink and back packs tear apart from the sewing just be careful

If you’re into these kind of stuff then you should have a great experience. Sadly, nothing really original. All the stores sell the same, as if manufactured in a factory and these are just resellers :(

Very nice market, highly recommended as theres a level for craft on a specific level, a second level with food restaurants and stalls + vegetables and fruits. A specific level for local residents where they may different kitchen wares

This is the place to go if you want really cool souvenirs. T-shirts and shoes also hats and belts made out of genuine leather

A beautiful colorful place where you will find everything from souvenirs to food fresh delicious fruits and more. Friendly people affordable but great. Worthwhile a visit. I love to go there every time I visit Guatemala.

So worth a visit. You can have so much fun in this place. Dont come here with misconceptions because it will ruin the experience. It is a melting pot of products and you could find almost everything here. Highly recommend you visit.

One of the best places to shop for everything. From candies to tea holders and more. Everyone will tell you nice things to stop at their shop and hopefully buy something but you do not need to feel forced to do so, just say thank you and keep walking. Prices are fair some will lower their prices but have common sense if you know they already are low then dont cheat them on lowering more. Very clean and friendly place

People were really nice and you could find just about anything you need. Sunday morning is not crowded at all and if you are looking for a great place to eat go to Rositas. :-)

Best place to visit and get a feel of the local art and food

Interesting and unique items and can find some reasonable prices

I loved this market in the middle of Guatemala City. It is close to the park of the constitution. You can find goods, food, spices, leather goods and so much more inside. Outside I was able to find the famous goat milk squeezed fresh. At the time, my views on dairy were different but I still didn’t enjoy it. Yes, it was warm but you could tell there was a lot of mucous. I wouldn’t participate again but it’s an interesting thing they do here in the city.

Nice place to buy souvenirs. Need to know how to barter but also best to take a local. I went with my cousins to know what the actual price of the items were and negotiated from there. Try to find vendors that have a little bit of everything. The more stuff you buy from a single vendor the cheaper you can get things from them.

This place is neat! I have been to a lot of central markets around the world, and this one hangs well with them.Good selection. They love to haggle, and you can ultimately get a extremely great deal!I was able to get a customized, handmade bracelet for $3usd and a really cool oversize Guatemala coffee mug for $4.50 and a shot glass for $1.50, and a cool Guatemalan tshirt for $4 usd!

You get what you pay for, fast, delicious and typical guatemalan food. Foreigners be aware that there are no bathrooms or clean facilities, however is a great experience that you cant miss.

I went for brunch or late breakfast to one of the most traditional and popular joints called «Refacciones Doña Mela». As its name says, it aims for «quick bites» and they offer lots of options, all typical local food at excellent prices. For those culinary tour lovers this place is a must and may be you will need several days to try all, so keep calm and enjoy!

Perfect place to see the daily life here in Guatemala City. Lots of textile, pottery and wooden decorations - all handcrafted by local people. Lower floor is full of fruits and vegetables and local cuchinas. For all who are looking for a new experience. Would like to come again..

Lots of custom native art work and decor. Can always negotiate on prices. Most places accept visa. A variety of meats, fruits, vegetables, candies, almost everything you would need or want.
