Seasonal 8-acre zoo with a rotating roster of 30-50 native & exotic animals each year.
Nice family park zoo. Scenic, walkable, open bathrooms.
Small zoo but a nice easy walk. Not a lot of animals.
This place is amazing!!!! I wish we lived closer because I would go here alllllll the time! Harper is adorably sassy and reminds me of my demonic calico cat.
It’s great and it’s free. It’s perfect to spend an hour on a weekday. Pretty busy on the weekends.
Great place for the family or whomever wants to enjoy the park. What docks line the edges of the water so you can easily fish or to launch a kayak. Small train rides and free zoo. Swimming although not the cleanest water though. One of the best parks in Oshkosh for sure.
Visited an hour before closing. The Elk werent out , but we were able to see most of the other animals. It was a nice short 1 mile walk around the pond
Nice small zoo. Has a nice walking area with a pond in the middle. Animal cages were clean.
Its very little and fast but it was okay we didnt see many animals
Really really big playground, daughter had a blast there, the zoo was a cute little place 😍
Good little place for kiddos. Cool animals. Free entry is great.
So much fun, so much to do!! The zoo was actually quite fun, we went on the big playground and we went to the beach. The kids had a blast and so did I!!
Not very many animals in their cages. I was highly disappointed. It was free with a donation. Nice way walking circle. Nice pond and atmosphere. Half the enclosures were empty. Seemed to be lacking in the animals. Would have been nice to see the animals and not just read the signs.
In not too sure when they took down the old wooden playset but this new setup is quite awesome! Also the rubber flooring is great!
Wonderful zoo. The only reason for one less star is I didnt see availability to purchase water. There was a drinking fountain.
Great place to have a day filled with variety. After doing a couple laps around the zoo we go to the amazing park across the way and take a dip in the lake if the heat gets to be too much. Many fun memories have been make and so many more to look forward to.
This is a great FREE activity! They have a zoo, beach and great playground with non-wood chip ground! We come often and the kids always have fun!
Free city zoo with a few animal exhibits. Enjoyed seeing the eagle as well as the wolves. Nice park and playground area conveniently located across the street.
I have been coming to this zoo since I was 5 years old, and it has only gotten better! Sadly, the old wooden castle-like playset is now gone, but in its place is a gigantic state of the art playset with many play features Ive never seen! The zoo has many animals, a few of which you can pet and feed for $.25, so bring your quarters for the full experience. Only loses a star because a few of the enclosures are small, and my inner animal lover is conflicted. Over all, I do believe the animals here are VERY well taken care of and given everything they can, while in a city.
Very cute zoo, amazing play ground, and adorable little beach. There is plenty to keep a family busy for the day. Pack a picnic and enjoy!!
Great little place to visit. They have a few exotic animals which are neat. Donkeys are friendly, but they will bite. Donkeys have big chompers and they love food!
Got to see all the animals up and bout and they had turtles out for kids to pet and learn about.
The park is amazing. The zoo is a disappointment. I definitely have taken my daughter back many times to the park. We will stick to Madison and Milwaukee zoo.
Nice walk thur zoo. Wet park. And playground next to water. Oh yes. Family fun all day
Perfect little zoo. Also love the free admission. Went before noon animals were very active. 2 awesome parks and small beach area all in walking distance.
Took my 2 and 6 year old. It was the perfect size for them! Also, it was crazy how close we were to the animals!
Absolutely love this zoo! The animals all seem very well taken care of. They have a couple different animals you can pet (donkeys, goats, sheep). Its definitely a good way to spend the day.
Small local zoo. Nice little park. Fun area to walk around.
Kids love the new playground. Best to go during the week to beat out the crowd. The zoo is always a treat and the beach is icing on the cake.
All of the animals were where you could see them. The zookeeper we spoke to was very nice! The only thing that kept this from 5 stars was the water in the wolves area. Its nasty. I hope they have clean drinking water elsewhere.
A great little zoo. Makes a nice side trip for families with small children.
Wonderful place to visit. Just a small zoo...thats full of education and fun facts! Peaceful like you are in a different work. Different programs every day of the week. Great place to stroll around and feel the slow pace! A must to experience at least once!
Was a very nice small zoo. Had beach behind the zoo and a very nice playground. Would recommend it to anyone.
Super cool place to visit. I plan to visit again the next time I am driving by. The otter was my favorite animal there, the albino llama was really cool too. Too many other awesome sights to list them all!
Animals are well cared for. Several exhibits have a display that gives you more information about the animals created by a local Girl Scout, which is just so cool. Bathrooms are clean and always stocked. And its free! Doesnt get much better than that.
Super nice small free zoo. Good variety of well taken care of animals, that you can get pretty close too.
I love this place! Great place to take the kids and convient location. I dont care how many times Ive been here I still love it! And its right at the lake too so you can go from the zoo to the beach and take a nice walk through the park all In one shot!
I miss the prairie dogs... glad they found the missing tortoise. Monkeys (I think theyre "not monkeys"always look sad and bored. Good walk and nice that its local. The zoo has had some major additions towards the end over the past few years. And Im happed to see the lion fountain still there after 35+ years. Could use cleaning more often, maybe get some volunteers? Some garbage blowing around and lots of droppings in cages. Lots. Still will return though. Fun still. Always drop a few dollars into the donation bins. Its worth it.
The park itself was fantastic. Lots to do and great structures to play on. However the company that was there was horrible. It was a lit of teenage kids who were cussing and climbing inappropriately on things which was a great example for the you get children. There were also adults who were playing tag with their children which isnt bad except they were running around like maniacs, jumping fences, and nor being safe around the you get children at all. My daughter was playing in the toddler area and almost got run over twice by adults jumping fences and almost running into us. I will not go back to this park just based on that.
Great for a short walk around the park looking at some animals. It was free when we went, but I think that is due to funding. That could change. There were elk, an old wolf, otters, different birds, lemurs, bobcats, sheep, llamas, and ponies. Im sure I missed something but there was plenty to see. I was able to scratch the head of one of the sheep. There is food you can attempt to feed the llamas and sheep for a quarter. Overall, fun and pretty for about an hour.
My boys love the zoo. We have been there 4 times since school has let out. Then after we play at the playground. Keeps them busy and active. Very cute animals.
Fun and great seeing all the animals. The first little guy this little turtle was an extra he was just walking along the path.
Great experience for the kids and i! Loved the LED Military Lightshow contribution! Turning on the radio to go along with the Lights was awesome!
This place feels stuck in time from 30 years ago and that’s not a good thing. The only saving grace is that at least it’s free. What used to be a vibrant zoo with admittedly small cylinder cages now is mostly void space with a few lonely animals. Has the feeling of a 75% empty shopping mall. The goat feeding area is a nice island of normal and the lion head water fountain is classic, but this place could be so much more. Seems the county may have put the money in the amazing playground across the parking lot. The train ride around back for $1.25 is pretty cool though.
Pretty nice for a free zoo. Plus after the zoo you can head over to little Oshkosh (play areaor the beach. The biggest hit is the petting area. The kids love to feed and pet the goats, sheep, donkey and mini horse. Today the wolf was walking around. Didnt see any otters. Got to get right up to the turtle (tortous).
Very happy we decided to stop in. My first time here was spectacular. There wasn’t a lot of people there, so I didn’t feel bad taking my time. It’s a cute little zoo with huge future potential. The future plans for this zoo look amazing and will definitely get my donation along with more visits. Nice to bring the entire family for a quick zoo visit. We spent around 30 minutes here and didn’t spend a dime. Great addition to a lovely Saturday.
Nice zoo for a short trip small ice cream/concession stand, has some minor flaws but is also free so cant complain. They are currently raising funds for improvement so dont forget to donate before you leave!
It’s a small zoo, not too many animals, but still a very good place to spend time on a sunny nice weekend. Or even to take a walk on a quiet day. Its FREE. Also spend time on the beautiful Winnebago lakeside, which is a great place just next to the zoo. We enjoyed chatting with the zoo staff too, who were all nice and socializing with visitors. So many families and kids were present.
SO MANY Great, fun memories at Menominee Park Playground, Zoo, and of course..... cant forget the many Train, water bicycle, canoe, and Whip rides! Always a good time!
Great place to take the kids for Free! They have the vey nice wooden playground right across from the Zoo and the Beach to swim as well!! Pack a cooler and make a day of it with the family! Only complaint would be not very many picnic tables, weve often just put blankets down and used that while kids swam and played!! Fun place something for all! Paved walkways which make it handicap accessible!
This zoo is small and theres mostly small animals. But the grounds are beautiful and its free admission so you cant really complain. Its an easy way to kill an hour or so.
