I just went in and went out. There is a souvenir shop at the ground floor and a small chapel above it. Thats it ❣️

Informative & authentic. Handwritten letters, variety of photos & history. A simple layout across two levels. Upper glass walled Chapel has cool architecture.

Surprised that someone would be so low IQ and demanding to give less than 5 stars for a small museum that is clean, nice, interesting and most importantly free of charge. You are probably one of these disrespectful people I met on Sat that were loud and could not do without shouting their mouth for a second. I really liked the museum, no matter if you are a fan of Mother Theresa or not, it is a good place to get to know her story. There is also a nice chapel upstairs to pray/meditate.

Memorial House of Mother Teresa with the Orthodox church of Konstantin and Elena in the background.Mother Teresa was born in Skopje, the capital of North Macedonia, in 1912 during the waning years of Ottoman rule. Though Sunni Islam was then the official religion, Christianity was tolerated and in the part of Albania where Teresa´s parents originated, Roman Catholicism was widely practiced. At 18, Teresa joined the Sisters of Loreto in Ireland then moved to India the following year. In 1950, she founded the Missionaries of Charity, the sisters of which wear the Hindu-inspired white sari with blue borders. In 1979, for her humanitarian work, she was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize, same recognition given to US President Obama in 2009 and to the Philippines´ Maria Ressa in 2021. She was canonized saint by Pope Francis I in 2016.

Although I hold a rather negative view of Mother Teresa and her missionary work this is a very interesting (and free!museum with various photos and souvenirs of her life and times. Worth dropping by if you’re in Skopje.

Very insuring place which deserves to be on your bucket list. It was enlightening to read about her vita and honorable titles.

Indeed surprised by the architecture, the feeling of serenity, love and admiration... A place that makes you reflect! Definitely worth your time!

A lovely memorial in a very busy and built up area. You’re free to wander round as you wish and while there was a lot of construction taking place next door on the day of my visit, it’s a relaxing spot giving opportunity to reflect. If this is something you think will interest you then it’s worth hunting down.

First time I come to Macedonia, I regret not being able to visit, as it was closed

The very history of this woman makes this house a great touristic attraction! I was impressed by her wax statue and her letters in English language displayed within the small exhibition!

Small museum in the centre of Skopje. A bit of a haven in the hubub of the city. It was actually more interesting than I had originally thought probable. I only really went in out of curiosity and was well rewarded. Free entry to this little place.

FREE entrance. Quick visit. Nice photos of Saint Mother Teresa. It is on the site of the old church that was destroyed in the 63 earthquake.

It was free to visit there and I liked the place that was actually a museum. With statue of mother Theresa in real size. And many great photos during her life.

If you visit Skopje, don’t miss the place out!I believe most of people heard about Mother Teresa, you can get more information about the place and the Mother Teresa.

A must see place in Skopje, there are a lot of information about the place and the Mother Teresa. The people take a good care of the place and most of them speak English and they will help you with everything you need. Just ask questions and dont hesitate. Also, there are a free tour to the place with local guides to the place dont miss it.

Mother Teresa is a bigger-than-life figure in Skopje, just like she is in neighboring Kosovo or Albania. Her name is married to streets, squares and other public spaces. That a town where she lived for 18 years would choose to honor her with a public space that carries her name should not come as a surprise. Dont miss visiting this space if you happen to be a fan.

I was told this is not the place where Mother Theresa lived but the house display the documents, photographs and records from life and times of a great soul from this century.

Something to see if visiting Skopje. Not really exceptional but worth a visit. Not to be mistaken for the birth house for it is just few minutes walk.

So beautiful and a must see when in Skopje. The entrance is free. Inside is very quiet and not very crowded during the day. Back in the days, there used to be a church situated here. The church was the one where Mother Theresa was baptized.

If you are in Skopje, I highly recommend you to benefit of a free tour of the Mother Teresas Memorial House.

It is not her real house of course, that was further up the road and was destroyed in the 1963 earthquake but is an attractive commemoration of an outstanding life.

Mother Teresa was originally born during the Ottoman Empire in 1910 in an administrational division of the Ottoman Empire. Today, its known as Skopje; the capital of North Macedonia.Although not the original house, its an ode to the saint herself, with artefacts, letters, original items and an adjoining church. Its free to enter, donations welcome and the free walking tour takes you here as well.

With something used or written by Mother Teresa, but its a bit small. It will be crowded if groups are visiting there.

Very beautiful and quant museum honoring the great Mother Teresa. I didn’t know much about her before the visit but was amazed with all of the things she did and people she met.

A strange architectury with spirituality. Easy to visit,center of the city.

Nice building but I cannot imagine why they built a 2 million euros building in memory of Mother Teresa. Because Mother Teresa didnt allow this, she would have helped those in need from this money.

Quite small museum. Good for those, who want to get know better Mother Teresa history or pray in small chapel on the top of the building.

Nothing left but a plaque in the ground. Dont get this confused with her museum a little bit further south.

I wish that a memorial to mother Theresa was more in keeping with her way of life. The photos and memorabilia give an insight into her life but the structure itself was a disappointment

Great place, they have presented lot of Facts of mother Teresa birth, her Quotes, the visit of lot of Presidents to her, birth Facts, her nobel Prize and lot more. Definitely I recommend to pay a visit to this great woman.

The architecture of the building is really strange, but worth to be seen. It is a pity that there was a constructure site all around almost covering this place. During a walk around it is impossible to miss it, especially if you are going to the old railway station.

This is an interesting place for a quick visit to see information and pictures about Mother Teresa. She was born in this city. There is not much see but it is free so go in have a quick look around.
