Historic walled garden with celestial-themed public art installation embedded in the lawn.
Get your plant/ flower fix !!!Great walking.Restive green spaces,Vista views.Adjoining Frick Park.AAAAYYYNNNDDD.The Pittsburgh Center For The Arts!!!All walkable to/ From point Breeze.Yeah... Put some mustard on that.😀
Bigger than you think and beautifully maintained by the Pittsburgh Parks Conservancy. The fountain is soothing. Wonderful spot for pictures. Large spaces of just grass as well.
Got engament photos here and it was beautiful!
This is a lovely city park, with pathways, lawns to relax on, formal garden, and herb garden. Theres also a place for you to play catch with your dog. It is not an official off-leash area, but a lot of people throw frisbees or balls for their dogs, and nobody seems to have any trouble with it. Especially the dogs 🙂
Beautiful spot for any type of photography .But omg weddings and homecoming ,seniors, or familys, doesnt matter a million spots jammed in one place
First time visiting and it was so neat! I’ve never been to a walled in park, so that was a fun experience. The views of the city were nice. Many trees for shade and seating all around. Beautiful!
Great place for a walk or to take pictures
Great place to walk and take a rest. So beautiful
A beautiful park!!! Stunning day for a kickball tournament!!!
A beautiful park with a nice herb garden. Very popular for wedding pictures.Great place to bring a hammock and a good book
We saw the Edgewood Symphony at a Summer concert. Very nice
A beautiful park that always has a ton of community events going on. A great place to bring a blanket and a book and spend an afternoon in the summer, or come for one of the Bach Beethoven and brunches with a chair and some friends. In the winter a wonderful sledding hill! The playground, tennis courts and baseball fields make this one of the key community centers in the east end.
Perfect day to walk enjoy and learn.
Beautiful place to visit just to relax out in nature for a day
Beautiful park! Its dog friendly with both concrete pathways and large grassy areas. Also has a ton of beautiful flowers and small gardens- which makes it a popular spot to have family photos taken.I didnt see any public restrooms but there were port-a-johns in a couple places.
This is a beautiful park. The fountain and flowers are always beautiful.
Great old walled in park with nice architectural features. Great water fountain, walkways and a garden.
Great small park to meditate, listen to a podcast, or read a book under a tree
I took pictures of my daughter by the fountain, by the trees, on the stone benches, by flowers, and by the iron gates. The pictures were beautiful. So many photographic opportunities in one area! There were a number of other people there, of all ages, enjoying themselves. I am so glad we found this place!
We walk here a lot and its a great place to picnic, meet up with friends, take photos, or just relax and read a book. Im excited for the upgrades theyre planning including the traffic calming thatll make getting to the park easier plus the storm water mitigation thats long overdue.
This is a beautiful park. What an almost hidden gem in our beautiful city of Pittsburgh. It is the perfect sport for pictures, which is why we were there for senior pictures.
This is a beautifully maintained park with plenty of places to sit and lots of shade. There are walled in sections and a lovely fountain, making it perfect for photos. Part of the park is on a slope so the entire place isnt wheelchair friendly, but there is adequate parking. The flowers and garden beds are well planned out so there are lots of bees, chipmunks, and squirrels to see.
This park really is a hidden gem. It has a really beautiful lawn with a fountain and surrounding Walls. And has a really great view from the top of the park. Make sure you stop down in the Rose garden to learn about the plants that they grew near Fort Pitt. If you’ve never been here definitely take the time to get to know this great park.
We went to take pictures overall it was very nice however it could have used a wee bit more maintenance. On a closer look it doesnt look like anything is ever hosed down.
Always beautiful. The fountain repair is finished and its good to see the whole park open again.
One of the most photogenic parks in all of Pittsburgh! So many architectural details and hidden nooks. Highly recommend but definitely get there early in the morning for a lighter crowd for engagement photos or family sessions.
Beautiful park to go set up a hammock or lay out a blanket! Occasionally live musicians and always beautiful flowers
Always love coming to this park with my clients!! Its always beautiful and well taken care of!Spring and fall are definitely gorgeous here 😍
This is a beautiful Park. Lots of people get their wedding pictures taken by the fountain and beautiful landscaping. We take our blind dachshund there almost every day because he knows the place. Great place for picnics.
A great place in the neighborhood, got pretty busy since the COVID quarantine.
One of my brothers got married in the Rose Garden, super cool. Great park to walk around. Has a small water park, art, and right on the edge of the city (very near Bakers Square, the O.G. Nabisco cookie plant. We miss the smell of chocolate cookies for miles, but the tradeoff 8s a bunch 9f new places: bars, shops, summer outdoor music venue, and even a machine shop that has every machine for just $80 a month).
Not very well kept. I went on Friday to have a catch with my family, and the grass seemed to have not been mowed in years. Where I was, you could see Beechwood, so if you do, be careful of the kind of uneven ground
A beautiful little park in the heart of the city - definitely a little oasis from city life! This park is SO well maintained and is just fun to walk through and look through the gardens and architecture. Its also dog friendly, which is a huge plus!
This is a very nice city park. Its a little lower key than the others, and the various gardens have their own charm. There is a constellation lighting feature in the upper most garden that, when functioning, is really neat.
This place was recommended to me by my photographer. This was my first visit here. I couldn’t have asked for a better little city park to have my engagement session. Easily accessible, dog friendly, well maintained, and good parking.
This has one of the fanciest parks in Pittsburgh. Great place to go at night too. You walk up through the gates from the road. At the top of the hill is a small brick barrier wall keeps all the noise of the busy road out and provides a cozy feel.In this little park is loads of good smelling flowers, bushes a fountain and the grass in the middle holds a piece of art itself, embedded in the ground are small lights that represent stars of a constellation. If you go up to the cement bench in the hill you can see how the whole constellation looks. You can enjoy this by day but dont get to see the lights unless you get there at night. Then feel free to enjoy yourself and sit in the chairs on the patio or on the edge of the fountain. This fountain does splash so youll get a little wet if you wanna dip your feet in the fountain.
My wife and I were married here in the Walled Garden. Cant beat the City Parks rate of $150 for a permit. It is still beautiful, but each year we see the grounds look a bit less cared for than the previous.
Nice park but some of it sadly in need of some care.
This park is very pretty! Beautifully landscaped and great architecture. We were there for the first time to take senior pictures. Highly recommended going there for any photo shoot or just to hang out.
This park is a small Oasis in East End Pittsburgh. Its beautiful in every season! There is a small hidden garden in the center with a lot of flower and plants species with ID tags. Thats a good way to learn the different plants. There is a small rose garden that is beautiful asnd romantic when the roses bloom. In summer they do concerts and events too. In winter is very charming and youll love it if you love Gothic style. I like to go there, walk slowly, enjoy the beauty of nature and restore my mind, even only for few minutes.
The walled garden was ideal for our wedding photos. There was also another wedding going on there. And its fun to watch all the dogs playing on a normal day.
One of the most beautiful places Ive ever seen.I cannot believe I have never been here being born and raised in Pgh. This place is a beautiful spot for weddings or special photos.
This is a neglected old park sitting along Fifth Ave.Winding footpaths make this a cute but crowded location for several summer festivals.Sadly the old masonry is in need repair and dog leash laws are mostly ignored. Definitely not a place for the kids to play.
Very beautiful park to take a walk in. We found this cool little inner garden that is kind of hidden, that was a nice surprise! I usually go after 6 when parking is free. They hold weddings and other events here though so you may not get in to certain areas.
Peaceful and well maintained. A great place for a stroll, picnic, etc.
Excellent water park for toddlers! The playground is closed for construction although I am not sure why, doesnt seem like much work is being done. Basketball courts for the older set. Always seems to be an active baseball game going on. The park has downsized over the years. There is still a small green area to put a blanket down for a picnic. Yet there are giant dumpsters randomly placed throughout. Parking is tight, particularly on a hot day when there is a ballgame and you want to get the kiddies cooled off
Great park, great E Liberty views, dog friendly but not gated.
Great spot to relax. Many people bring dogs around (and often unleash them, so not great if you are afraid of dogs). There is a brunch series in the summer for guests to get some brunch and listen to classical or instrumental music.
Such a beautiful area with the gardens and the fountains and large trees! Pet friendly too. Good place to go to relax on a summers afternoon!
This park is great. Its split in the middle by 5th Avenue and its almost like it has two personalities. The active side. It has Mellon Park Tennis Center, basketball courts, playground with splash pad, baseball fields and picnic groves. Also some beautiful sculptures are sprinkled throughout. The quiet side. It has the Shakespeare garden, the walled garden, Pittsburgh center for the Arts and has Bach, Beethoven and Brunch during the summer. Both sides have walking paths through them. And combined this park is amazing.
