Melbourne Cable Park - Sports complex in Cheltenham, Australia
Absolutely awesome place. Very fun and helpful crew there and awesome park
Recommended. Be fit otherwise you will be a very sore puppy for a week after. Dont attempt anything beyond your measure because you literally will not walk again.Amazing fun, great chips... great
Had a look at some of the 1 star reviews and they are absolutely laughable!Cable park is sick with staff that always give me tips from starting my first time being a beginner.
Ofcourse this is fun. Actually this is an adventure! This was my first time experiencing these types of activities. I got the whole day pass and defintely worth it. I would get a whole day pass next time I go again as time flies and I dont want to rush when were having fun. I would definetely say arrive earlier as signing the waivers and forms can take time for each person if youv never been before. Lockers are quite small so very large bags or many bags may struggle to fit in.The Aqua Park was just hilarious and so much fun. Not just for kids! Cant help but slip everywere and look silly while trying hard to crack the course. I spent nearly 2 sessions on this with the kids. Topped my expectations. Our favorite! (Be careful sliding over Velcro connector seams, can scratch).High ropes was a great experience. Definetely great to test your climbing skills and limits as there is diferent heights and skill levels. Some of them are hard (especielly top leveland got me pretty nervous but thats what kept it so interesting and made it a good challenge. Kids enjoyed the Lower levels. The instructor really took the time to reassure my kids that they are safe, even though they were high and really took the time to help and interact with them. Very patient and kind. We made a last minute decision in the day to buy a ticket for the leap of faith in the high ropes but didnt realise the high ropes closed earlier, so we were able to exchange this for food.I was unsuccessful in cable wakebored but I only tried it 2 or 3 times. 9 and 10 year old kids got it straight away! They loved it. Instructors help and encourage with tips on how to do it and get better. We were late to our session so got a bit confused on were to get the boreds and gear from. The car park had alot of pot holes and it must have rained so lots of water pooling. Not the easiest car park but we managed.Overall an amazing day out. Love this place, I will be going again!!
Awesome place. Super friendly and helpful staff. Love the cable ski- a nice slow beginners lake for the learners and a faster lake option for the trickier boarders.
They dont offer one hour passes anymore so now you have to spend $70 minimum even if your arms are only strong enough to go around twice. Super sad 😢
Great fun! I was a beginner and had a great time, with some tips and advice from the staff, I was able to really enjoy my experience!Did the cable wake boarding stuff and it was awesome!
A great way to spend an hour on a water inflatable. A great way to exercise and have a blast with friends and family (very slippery!), a great waterskiing area with ramps and a cafe and vending machines located around the place.Recommended for a fun way to exercise!
It was so much fun to go on the cable! The instructors were so chill and gave tips and helped me to take things one step at a time. Everyone was super friendly, supportive and encouraging. It definitely made for a great birthday!
This is one of the best places for having fun, adventure and even a good family time. The Zipline and the waterskiing are absolutely adrenaline pumping.
Good place for a day out. Kids will like it, but, theres a lot for adults as well. Well maintained cafeteria and clean restrooms.
Low tech water obstacle course with high level of fun. Course is suitable for all ages. The younger ones will need help get up some things but they will love it. Adults be prepared to test your balance and aerobic fitness cause you will be huffing and puffing. Easy to get to and lots of parking. Friendly staff.
So much fun, lots of laughs! 50min was enough for our group of adults but the kids could have done the double session. Staff are so welcoming, happy and helpful! Definitely will go back!
I took my daughter here for her 11th birthday with a group of friends and it was SOOO much fun! I also enjoyed myself thoroughly, although sore for a week after, it was a great workout and loads of fun at the same time! Highly recommend the Aqua Park. The food was good too, had burgers and fries but was also delicious! I would love to come back again to try the cable park sometime soon! Super fun day out.
Tonnes of fun. Took 3 kids (9-12yrson the ropes and the aqua park. The rope courses were bit tricky for the shorter kids (should have done the kids climband it took a lot longer to make our way through some of the courses than expected. But the aqua park was fantastic, loads of fun and lots of laughter. Well worth it.
What a marvelous find for Melbourneans! Took my 13 year old one warm day in the holidays. She was embarrassed at falling in a few times. But then realized that all the kids were doing the same. After an hour she was up and ready to go all the way around the pond and she loved it. We returned the following day and went to the other pond where people of all ages were enjoying it. There were musicians - two guitarists (one ex-Little River Band, the other the winner The Voice - fantastic!). They started their set with "Sittin on the Dock o the Bay" - which was absolutely PERFECT for a wonderful, hot, windless day. Would I go again? Hell YES! Would I recommend it? Yes again. Ive already recommended it to the Scouts - theyll love it.
Safe, clean fun. Been there with 11, 12 & 14 yr olds plus a 53 yr & 75 yr old. The later two had a great time, ( 2 big kidsbut only lasted for 25 mins.Pretty knackered. The kids had a great time although were pretty tied after completing the session but very excited having done it. Definitely a repeat visit for the kids.
Great place for a day of fun! Kids love the aqua park, we love the cable park. Yet to try the high ropes course but definitely on the list.
I took 5 teenagers and all had a great time. They probably stretched their arms a few inches longer and got few more laugh wrinkles. All of them want to do it again.
So much fun! We bought tickets for the 10am session on a Sunday and had the Aqua Park to ourselves for the first 10 minutes. 50 minute session was more than enough time to cover the entire course again and again. Lots of lifeguards on duty so felt very safe and the whole team were very welcoming and friendly.
Didnt knew such place exist here in Melbourne. Absolutely wonderful. Kid birthday party what more you can ask for. 50 minute session, it was tiring and fun. And than eating after like crazy. Kids enjoyed a lot, next time when I will go most likely wear full length something because when your skin rub over those inflatables its not pleasant. And you might ended up with rashes. Other than that it is hilariously funny to watch people falling 🤣😂
Such a great place to bring the family and young ones for a great day out!If you love the water and climbing jumping castles then youll absolutely love this attraction!!Right near the beach also, so bring the family and have an awesome day😊😊
Went a few months ago with the fam and loved it so we had my kids birthday party there. Kids had an absolute ball. Staff where great and so helpful. Shout out to them all. Your are doing a great job during these current times. Definitely recommend we are going to be back there alot!
Awesome 2 hour obstacle fun on the water. Ian was so hilarious 😂 He had a great time with my kids teaching them manners and serving water. The more you give the more you receive was his quote...
Incredibly dangerous experience. Staff get agitated quickly when youre not a pro on the first try. They tell you theyll stop the ride if theres danger but dont. My 10 year old brother was almost Severely injured by other riders knocking him out as the ride wasnt stopped when he got stuck. Operator wouldnt even stop the ride when we signalled needing help. Avoid this business ( For the record this is the first negative review Ive ever given any business )
What a great way to spend an hour (or 50 minutes to be preciseon a hot sunny day with 3 grandkids in tow.The venue is very clean & the staff were great. The check-in process was smooth. The safety briefing was concise & the kids (& grandfatherwere in the water in no time.Highly recommended.
Went water boarding, its a very cool place but poor staff, not beginner friendly at all. They have blue wristbands to identify who is new and yet do nothing with them. Had to get all of my equipment by myself, guessing what was best for me.Had to ask the people in the front of the line what the hell was happening, where to scan my bracelet, etc. and whenever I asked for help from staff on what to do, they would give me one lazy line, watch me and my friends fall over and not offer any further tips despite watching us struggle.I was told I would have had better help on a quieter day and that beginner classes are on Saturday morning but I saw the employees had plenty of free time, especially while I was first in line. They could have given quick tips, be encouraging and make it an overall fun experience. It doesnt need to be a beginner class to show minimal effort to your customers.Instead I felt like I didnt belong as a beginner and felt incredibly discouraged from going back.I didnt learn a single thing and thats what irks me the most
Loved this place. But be aware u have to have your weetabix in the morning.... took my 9 yr old and I was absolutely exhausted trying to keep up with him. Great place though and great fun.
A really fun experience for our preteen child, who enjoyed the high ropes course and AquaPark, and is keen to try the wake boarding next time. Be aware that though there is a cafeteria, it doesnt cater for all diet types, so best to BYO food if required.
Dont got there if its too hot youll end up burning.. nice park, the combo deal is pretty good. Definitely keeps you busy for a day out.
We have usually come here for the on water obstacle course which is a lot of fun. I then tried the kids club cable park with our 8 and 10 year olds. Initially they got scared and didn’t want to carry on. But then one of the awesome coaches got them into it and they ended up loving it. The team there were awesome and we all had a really fun day!
We had an excellent time at the aqua Park with the kids. Had a slight issue with our locker and all members of staff were so friendly and helpful. Will definitely be back!
Entry price is reasonable, Park is clean and well managed. Each employee present seemed aware of their individual responsibilities and proud of their roles.Heres the reason I will be back: Often if you go to a theme park styled venue and order food, you accept that it will be low quality garbage. BUT, I ordered three sets of kids nuggets, the calamari with chips, and a couple of dim sims, everything was cooked fresh and quite frankly, it was perfect. I mean like restaurant quality perfect. The kind of perfectly cooked calamari and chips alongside a delicious garlic aioli, that the moment you eat it you think "wow! the chef must take pride in his/her work...."The amount of food was just perfect for two adults and three kids, with a couple of Chip crumbs leftover for the seagulls. Pricey, yes, but well inside what I had expected to pay being at something of a theme park.Extra detail: at first a one hour booking doesnt seem like much for the price, but by the time you are finished your completely knackered.
Great place for a school excursion. Would love to try it again with my family. As a school group it was so well organised with the whole group climbing first then off to the water section. The students loved it. Great staff who were so attentive and helpful.
Loved it!Kneeboarding was fun. Would recommend it even for beginners.
Great place to spend a day in summer! Fun environment and super fun activities. Kids also loved the atmosphere. Highly recommended if you want to do some challenging activities in the safe environment. Bit surprised this place is still not known the way it should be.
Great venue, great facilities. Well managed and awesome fun for the kids....and adults!
My kids had a great time here when they attended for a birthday party. None of them are confident swimmers but the supplied life jackets put them at ease to thoroughly enjoy themselves. If an obstacle was too hard they just jumped into the water and swam to the next ramp to get back on and keep going. Well definitely be back.
So fun! Great day out. Water park best if weather is hot
Great place for a partyNot too busy during the weekMake sure to have lots of energy
Fantastic venue for some adventurous days out with a difference. (I say multiple days because there’s too much to do in one trip!). The inflatable water park was a real laugh; I had as much fun as the kids. The high ropes course is a great challenge physically and mentally, and the water skiing was a really unique Christmas gift for the kids, which they loved. Staff are friendly and enthusiastic, always encouraging every effort to help the kids hop back up and keep trying. There were a lot of serious water skiers there too. Obvious the facilities are well respected by many.
Didnt realise how amazing the ropes course is! I had so much fun here with my bestie! Unfortunately the wind picked up, but Im glad safety comes first with this company! Definitely coming back for more fun!
Great place for a day with the kids. We did the cable park and the water park. Had a ball. Cable park needs a bit of maintenance but was a super clever design with double safety cable. Water park is crazy hard work for the parents.. expect to be sore the next day, lol..
Do you have you have children/grandchildren if so, then why are you reading this review? You should be in a car or on a bike or even on a plane making your way to this water adventure land!!Watching your young ones trying tackle the aqua course is worth the $25 per person per session alone. Then there is the cable water boarding/ sking and the rope climb.
Kids had a great time on the inflatables. Make sure you bring your own snacks and drinks. Lots of walking required to get to the different areas.Edit. Came back a week later with an adult group to try the High Ropes. The view from the top is amazing. The course was lots of fun (and a little horrifying if you arent great with heights). The equipment was in good condition and safety was not of a concern. I am about 175cm high and a few of the obstacles were a challenge on the higher levels.
Really enjoyed my time here with my son. They had great special for school holidays and parents climbed free.
Great place to make a day of it. Hilarious day for all ages. Took an esky although probably didnt need to (cafe/kiosk looked pretty good). Staff were amazingly helpful. Thanks for a great day out!
Awesome fun to be had by all! Great family fun. We did the aqua park - its harder than it looks and is a good obstacle course. The waters fine, though Id personally recommend trying not to swallow. Standard session is 50 minutes. Theyre installing lockable lockers (presumably at a priceand there are permanent toilets, which you can use as a change room. Even with lots of people, theres enough room to move safely. Best to work together to get over some of the obstacles. Heaps of fun! Easy to get to.
Very very friendly staff, my daughter is having a lot of fun today. She did one hour kid rope course, great value, I will recommend to have two hours session for bigger kids, because kids just cant stop going back and do it again and again. Also parents should ask kids to use toilet before they start, it took a bit time to get off the rope and protectiom equipments. We will definitely go back and play it again.
Arrived on time for our session but poor communication and directions by staff made us late to our ninja session and as such we missed out on almost 15 minutes of a 50 minute session. Staff have advised direction signs are being made but was disappointed with our last visit since the venue had changed dramatically since my first visit when only the aqua fun park was open and was very straight forward and staff were very helpful that time.
