Melaka Duck Tours in Malacca

We enjoyed the tour but wish there was more of a land tour also and more information. A live guide would be better than the recording as we had often past the location before it was discussed.

Fun ways except no life vest provided or necessary?

Boring and expensive, audioguide almost impossible to understand. Also the route is very boring.

Going there as a tourist hoping to hop on the Duck Tours and sadly they are not open on the weekdays...

Stunning view from the straits. However, still got alot to improve on waiting time and on the “duck” experiences. Feels like it need to go thru alot of maintenance and repair😅

Not as bad as I thought from the reviews. My parents enjoyed it. Maybe because of the feedback, the explanation are now pre recorded in English, Mandarin, and Malay. Also we went during a cloudy day so was not too hot.

I didnt know that Tunku had already declared our indepence in 1956 itself. Thats what the audio said during the tour. Pricey, especially for families, English commentary should be improved. Noice and the ride itself was not comfortable. Most importantly, safety has taken a back seat. Notice at back of seats, says there are life jackets under your seats, but there was none. Basically, complacency and overconfidence may have shrouded the real need for precaution.

This is my first time to take tour on an amphibi vehicle, and Im not disappointed. Its quite interesting to go around a bit part of Melaka city. We also got to see Melaka strait Mosque. Theres some audio information about Melaka citys history in three different languages: Malay, English, and Chinese.The ride take about 45mins to complete. Price for ride is 42 RM for adult and 48 RM for foreigner. Bit pricey though.

Really a waste of time and money. Hot and Noisy. Nothing to see actually. However the selat Melaka mosque is a great place to see and worship for Muslim..

A re-visit after years for taking our child to experience the dual transport. Quite disappointed as it is not improving. The noise of the truck still shades the recordings, we can barely hear anything. Lots of people are falling asleep... Nothing stunning except for the mosque, the moment of it goes to the sea and lands again on the road.

Good for kids where they can experience an amphibious vehicle going from land to water. Regrettably, the tour can show much sights.

Its just OK. The tour was good but the commentary was so-so. I fell asleep halfway thru the tour. Something need to be done to make the tour more interesting.

Very very boring and complete waste of money. Highly recommend not to go! Adult is 40 and kid is RM30, better off taking trishaw. I posted photos of the journey where the duck tour bring you, all you see is boring buildings and a sea, better off driving.

It is a good experience for kids, if you have not done it before. The duck tour takes you through the city and into the sea. Once you are in Sea there is nothing to see than to experience the ride unlike city jetty.

Should goes to more historical area with guide.

the overall ride is a setback...really boring...extremely...spend the money better at the river cruise rather den this duck tour...if u havent sit a duck b4...den go ahead and oh ya..try it on the first ride rather den early noon as the Sun is HOT~

No guide or even an audio guide to introduce the places. Jus basically paying for a ride in an amphibious vehicle. Better things to do in Melaka.

take this tour on 09 Dec 17 and our boats tyre was having problem and we are stuck in the middle of the road for more than 15 mins. since this is a 60 over years boat, the management shloud schedule a proper maintenance as it was driving too slow on the road. Only excited part is when the boat go into the sea in Pulau Melaka. RM42 for adults and RM25 for kids are definately overprice.

For me it worth 2 star. Like other said just see the abandoned shops. But my kids 5 n 7 yrs old like it. So I give 5 star.

40 mins tour in straits of Malacca, minus the time on the road (about 15 mins), u only get less than 30 mins.Nothing interesting on the straits. Just a few ships and the mosque.

The duck tours is near open parking space at menara taming sari

Its a bit expensive for locals. One time experience will do. This heavy boat will make a short trip from Menara Taming Sari to Pulau Melaka.

overpriced. the sound system is not work and we cant hear tour guide. nothing special with the route.

Need more improvements, to the management please reconsider on how to improve the tour and how to bond in with the tourist. Another thing is to improve, is by change your route. Try to apply with the state department.

Not cool. They take you on a tour of what you dont want to see in Malacca. Abandoned developments, construction and the ugliest part of the coast...Just as you think youll see something interesting, you turn around. No tour guide, just a crackly recording you can barely hear over the truck noise...And the drivers didnt even acknowledge the presence of customers. Save your time and money and do something else. I give two stars only because the mosque was pretty and the Duck didnt sink.

Its totally waste of money and time as it did not takes us around any of the interesting places in malacca. All we saw is the traffic jam n shop lots... really dissapointed...

Nothing great . It does not go into rivers .Busy city ride showing all the malls . And smell of diesel .

Sat in traffic looking at shopping malls and building sites. It doesnt go up the river, you just do a large u-turn in the Straits of Melaka. Tour guide did a fair job but he didnt have much to work with as it wasnt much of a tour. Overpriced.
