Mei Jing Chinese Restaurant - Chinese restaurant in Mandurah, Australia
Not as good as it used to be very disappointed
Friendly, accommodating staff and good food. Have many specials.
Lovely, typical Chinese restaurant. Excellent service from young man. The menu is extensive and we only had 2 of the mains, which we were very happy with but need to try a few more before I can give 5 stars .
The service is great the meals are fantastic. I will always go there, we all had a different meal, & all where great.
very good dinning experience over there. Very friendly staff and fried rice is very good!
Amazing, personally the best Chinese food i have ever tasted. The customer service is top notch very kind and very fast service. Definitely will be coming soon.
Went for lunch today. Service was blah from the older server. Food not up to what they normally present and considering the prices have all gone up it was pretty disappointing.Six prawns in the Sate Prawn dish for $30 was not acceptable. Fried rice was in need of some seasoning. Omelette was also lacking the level of both presentation and flavour we would have expected. Combination Chop Suey was awful. Not up to standard for this restaurant.Won’t be back. Sorry level of excellence has severely deteriorated since Paul is not in charge.🥹
Great food and service. Restaurant is clean and spacious
Watered down honey for my honey chicken was not very appetising.Fried rice no flavour
Weve visited this many times over 30 years and as always the food and service are first class
Beautiful food ,lovely hosts .even found us a place when we unexpectedly found ourselves there for fathers day .even gave roses chocs as a delightful gift upon finishing.Made the day !!!!♥️
Really nice fresh food with nice, friendly staff and priced reasonably

Always great food and service.Thank you
Excellent food and fantastic service
Great food great service very clean bean going to this restaurant since moving to Mandurah in the 80s always great!
Unremarkable food, good serviceThis restaurant offers standard Aussie Chinese restaurant food. The food is unremarkable, but the service is fast and friendly and the prices are reasonable.
I ordered take away sezchuan beef and combination fried rice. Honestly it was revolting the beef was dry and tough and almost glued together in one big chunk. It had virtually no spiciness at all.The rice combination was...well...just rice and also had an odd flavourVery dissapointed given Mei Jing had a great reputation in Mandurah for a long time. A waste of time and money for me and I did not enjoy even one single mouthful of this meal
Food was fantastic. Paul you made our evening very special for my friend Sylvia. Thank you
Great service and food, last minute desicion to eat in the restaurant. 8 of us. Very welcoming
The salt and pepper squid is large slabs of squid nicely battered-- like pieces of fish. Solid special fried rice. Great combo. Well be back.
Food was very tasty full of flavour and good sized servings.would recommend. Staff very friendly and good customer service.
Wonderful quick friendly service. Best satay beef I have had. Great night for a friends 60th Birthday
Yummy food, reasonable prices and very nice customer service.
Highly rated yet we had never been there in the over 10years in Mandurah. Very glad we finally made it. The staff make you feel like youre visiting their home and that they are honoured to provide you with traditional fare prepared by Master Chefs. The atmosphere is unique. Well worth a visit.
A wonderful meal made with love. Best Chinese Ive had in years. Great customer service. Highly recommend to others
What a positive surprise. The owners made us feel at home. They are witty and fun with their customers.I am from Newcastle NSW there is nothing like the customer service like i experienced today. The food matched the service.
Love the cuisine whenever we visit Mandurah. The food suits our palate to the tee. The chef is willing to customize the dishes if we request for it. With the freshness of the seafood, the taste of the dishes is brought up a notch. Would highly recommend lovers of Asian cuisine to consider coming to this establishment whenever you are around the area.
My family and I have been dining at this restaurant for at least 23 years and we have always loved our experience. The food is consistently delicious and the friendly staff are incredibly welcoming and make you feel right at home.Mei Jing would always be my number one recommendation for lunch or dinner dining in Mandurah.10/10 for food, atmosphere, price and service!
Our family "go to" restaurant for 25 years! Great menu, prices and never had a bad feed. The owner Paul always great for a laugh too, a real Gentleman!
Had a dinner takeaway here. Mixed vegetables dish and cashew chicken dish tasted the same. Lack of flavour and under seasoned. Fried rice was just ok.
The staff are SOO friendly and genuinely happy. We were there for less than a minute before they came around with water, filled up our glasses and swapped the glass for a plastic cup for the toddler. They also gave us a basket of prawn crackers. We had somewhere to be so didnt have alot of time, and honestly, the food came out sooo quick and it was amazingly fresh! Honestly, it was worth the 45 minute drive!! And they dont mind if you take your left overs home, they dont turn their nose up at you if you ask for a take away container!
Given the reviews I thought this would be decent, was so wrong. We ordered the garlic chicken. The gentleman that served is was lovely, but the food was disgusting. Looked like throw-up, tasted worse. The chicken was like bits of old boot or rubber. No vegitibles served with the meaL, my partner and I felt sick after eating less than half the meal.Never had this problem before with a takeaway. Wont ever return. Do yourselves a favour and try somewhere else. I can recommend Silk Thai for the same price.
It was good to return to our long time favourite Chinese Restaurant in Mandurah after months away due to the pandemic. Spring rolls and beef curry with vegetables were as wonderful as ever.
I like this Chinese restaurant. It’s a classic Chinese with good service and affordable prices.
Great food. Tasted great. Great, friendly service at a good price. Highly recommended.
There were 6 in our party and we all ordered a different dish to share. Every order was delicious and the staff very helpful and friendly. Strongly recommend
Food very good
Good food, very well served. Owner and staff friendly and efficientThank you
Food was as usual awesome. Service is fabulous. 11 outta 10. Keeps to its reputation of best Chinese food in town. You really need to go.
firstly we experienced late service and large gaps between times the dishes were being served, some were cold by the time others came outand when we sat down we waited awhile to be served but there wasn’t really anyone in the restaurant and when we were, it wasn’t friendly or welcoming.the portions are way to small to be priced the way they are and the food lacks quality and flavour - was like chewing rubber mostlyas predicted the fried rice saved the night and luckily we have low standards so we tried to eat it - but still no successwould take the abundance of leftovers for the dogs but it’s questionable if they’d like itmight come back, might not - most likely not
Dined in with another 2 elderly and orderd a 4 person Banquet which was $19 on the menu but told already gone up to $20 per person yer whatever fine, the real short straw was how do 3 people pay for an extra person banquet and walked out still hungry. Gave 2 stars for the food half decent .
Cheery good service. My Honey Chicken and cashew nut was very boring and their was a very long hair in the omelette but not sure where it came from so havent marked down for that. Would go back again as the omellete (despite the hair was very nice as were the other dishes.
Good food nice people
Food is good. Quick service. Close to town. Drink glasses are tiny 100ml size. Can get noisy. Enjoyed the meal. Wheel chair access. Do take away as well.
My wife and I attended the restaurant last night (02/05/2018on the recommendation of a friend. We were both a bit disappointed and I asked my wife what rating out of five would she award. She said 3 1/2. I was of the same opinion but as I dont have the option to award half star rating, I went down to three - as it definitely did not warrant a four star rating. The restaurant is one large barn like room. The tables are situated close to each other and the room was very noisy - due to the bare brick walls. The food was OK. We wont be returning to that restaurant, instead we will stick to our regular restaurant...which is more comfortable, better value, and has a better atmosphere.
I was absolutely disgusted buy the takeaway we had tonight. We ordered fried rice which we found a hair in plus we ordered chicken cashew which tasted cheap and revolting and was only half full. I only chose 1 star as I had to just to write a comment. I would give them no stars!! We also paid over $60 for what we where hoping to be good food but it was disgusting and low grade!!
Love this place. Been coming here as a family for over 30 years and they always serve food to The highest standard. The food is very good and always fresh, esp the vegetables. I have allergies to wheat and MSG and I never have a problem here.
I regularly go to Mei Jing, dine in, and order take away at least once a week. Only had one bad experience, which I spoke to the owner about. All was sorted out by a freed take away meal. Apart from that one exp., I cant fault them. Terrific food, terrific staff. 12 out of 10 points.
