A hidden place in PittsburghAmazing food.

We went there on a Sunday for lunch and decided to have the buffet . Being vegetarian, we checked with the server for availability and were shown the options .although limited we were ok with it . However , the dishes were empty and would require 20 mins to refill as per the server . The most offensive part was that they had mislabelled the chicken appetiser as veg pakoras . I am an eggitarian . When confronted with the question the server was rude and said “you should have asked me “ when told it says veg pakoras he responded “it’s very obvious it’s chicken “ he also comments on my plate that u eat egg . What I choose to eat or not is not their business . Labelling food correctly is however their business and they should have done that . We walked away without finishing our meal . Disgusted by the behaviour of the restaurant and management

Our waitress was very friendly and helpful. The food was delicious.

I had big expectations with the 4.3 rating but I guess, that might be Bec of the lunch buffet as what I ordered for dinner was not good. Butter Chicken was tasteless. So does chili chicken. The Garlic naan were like thick dough of bread n undercooked. Request to plz put more effort on making good food rather then maintaining Indian frames on the wall. The only good thing is the service given buy the person who took my order. She was very polite n helpful.

I had high hopes because of what I had been hearing. Unfortunately it was not a great experience. The samosas & naan was undercooked. The requested medium spicy entree & plain rice were both sweet. One of our other entrees never came but by the time we asked them, we just canceled it because everything we had already gotten was barely touched.

Happened to be at Mehran (Feb 2022 for friends Jaggo event. The setup was elaborate and the hosts were very welcoming. Finding parking wasnt an issue as we had almost the whole parking lot to ourselves (to the folks attending the event). It was a late evening to midnight type of an event which definitely get extended for a bit beyond midnight.The food served was pretty good and as well tasted pretty fresh, especially the fish pakoras and the tandoori chicken in the appetizers/starters part and then the goat and chicken curry in the latter. The Paneer dish was praised by the guests as well .Was a great evening all in all and Mehran lived up to the expectations and were kind enough to have us on their premises even though it got pretty late.Would recommend their Banquet hall services and food for sure as well.

This is NOT going to be a review about the service because I hardly eat at the restaurant I always order to go and I know the service and buffet aren’t what they used to be BUT the FOOD is still very much delicious.Mehran has the BEST INDIAN/PAKISTANI cuisine I have ever tasted and the best you’ll ever get in CONTRA COSTA county to be honest. I’ve frequented their restaurant since they opened and food still excellent tasting. Will always recommend

The service:Ordered $70 worth of food from these people. When I arrived the waiter was engulfed in a chat with a customer waiting for his order. He didnt acknowledge me and when he did it was as if I were bothering him. He gave us someone else food. He later ran to my car after we had already opened and touched the food. He asked for it back for the other customer(very unsanitaryalthough it had been in our car and handled without gloves.The food:Ordered last night and there is over half left in the fridge. The Tomato(tikkiMasala was missing all other ingredients. Lamb briani rice- the lamb was tough to chew. This is by far my least favorite place to eat Indian food. I wont be back. The food and service could use a boost.

Update: Over the past months I’ve became a regular..Food availability is a matter of timing and chance. When it’s good, it’s very good.Service has also improved much. Upgrading to 4 of 5 stars.Update: Reducing score from 3 to 1. Arrived just before 1 PM. A party of 6. The buffet is empty of all the chicken/ meat dishes. See new photos attached. This has been happening recently. It is getting worse.Update: Reducing score from 5 to 3. I returned a number of times since leaving the review below. Service can be improved. It is lacking: one person do-it-all does not work. Long wait for food (buffet empties quickly), naan and drinks and anything to that effect requires a long wait.Bathrooms are clean but have fixtures which are broken and inoperable. It is disappointing to return again and again and notice more of the details which are not positive.Lunch buffet was excellent. Chicken tikka Masala and naan were the highlights.Service was good too.Recommended.

The chicken tika masala was diferent tasted like tomate sause..

Service could be better. I had the buffet. The waitress took my plate, water and bread before I was finished. Food was ok. They ran out tandoori chicken and I was there at 12:30. Plenty of parking. $17 for lunch.

Food was not bad tasty, and warm, But the chicken was half cooked. The spoons were not clean and was super expensive, 4 dishes for $73.

Buffet was surprisingly good. This may become a once every couple weeks lunch destination

I have been going to Mehran for as long as i can remember, (maybe about since i was 8and they had good food. HAD is the key word. They have been lacking alot lately. Went here today to get some food and the buffet could have been so much better. Had minimal choices, food was cold, and low and slow customer service. I dont recommend!! Momo and curry in brentwood is better!!

I order food from uber eats today , Butter chicken, 2 order of garlic naan and a Reshmi kabab. When I received the order Reshmi kabab was missing, and butter chicken is not creamy at all , feels like watery .. very disappointed with the food and for not checking full order while preparing or packing .

first and second time i ate indian food was at this restaurant. I dont know much abt the cuisine but i know it was damn good. I triwd over 7 different dishes and they were all amazing. The chicken tikka was really good. I thought it would be dry but it wasnt! the channa masala was great and the shrimp and goat curries were also really good

We have been looking for a new place to get great food and this was disappointing! Our very first time ordering here and they left out an order that my kids love. I went back to show them and the guy had an attitude with me like I was lying and was hesitant to fix the order. Then the food was extra spicy when we ordered mild, again this was for my kids. So they decided to make it extra spicy I guess to get back at us for wanting the food that was missing. I wish this was the restaurant we were looking for but it isnt.

This review is solely based on the restaurant staffs behavior, I did not even get to try their food first to give them a review for the food.I ordered takeout from Mehran using their chosen delivery partner GURHUB. I waited for food to arrive for 1.5 hrs and nothing happened. After 1.5 hrs I get a call from Mehran staff about my order. The lady on the phone rudely informed me that restaurant is closing in 5 min and that “my delivery person” is not there and I need to call grubhub and figure it out. Also proceeded to tell me that I shouldn’t be using Grubhub next time if I want food from there and to use another vendor. This was highly unprofessional. I used THEIR PREFERRED CHOSEN DELIVERY PARNER NOT MY PERSONAL PICK UP SERVICE. If your delivery partners aren’t providing you satisfactory service then terminate them or speak to them about your issues. Rudely calling and coming down on a new customer about food not being picked up by your delivery partner is the last thing you should have been doing.

I know this place has been here for a while but I am just now trying it. Right away it is now a favorite of my girlfriend and I. Food was delicious and our server was very friendly. The prices are more than reasonable and you can tell they use quality spices. I had the Chicken Vindaloo and my Girlfriend ordered the Chicken Tikka Masala. Both absolutely delicious. Their Garlic Naan was really tasty. My only complaint is the fault of my own. We went around 5:30 and the sun was directly in my eyes. As the server told me to sit where I want I am the idiot for that lol. None the less... Check them out!

1st time eating here the food was delicious. Ive been here twice before when they had their lunch buffet but every time I came they didnt really have anything left to choose from now I know why. We ordered 3 different types of meats, 3 appetizers, 3 vegetable sides,variety nanns and rice and everything was bomb!

First time trying the food here and it was delicious. Warm, greatly priced and the limited service we had (due to take outwas with a smile. Will definitely be back with the rest of the family. Thank you for the great visit.

Very delicious chicken tikka. One of the best I’ve had in the Bay Area. The tamarind chutney is also prepared very well. The masala flavors in the chicken absorbed very well and the meat is juicy, tender and not overbearing with spice. The beef kabobs were just alright. But I think that’s my personal preference. Solid 4.5 experience.

VERY RUDE CUSTOMER SERVICE. They did not give me my full order and when I called them to complain they said i did not order the items. They changed their story after and said they sent the wrong order. Then said i need to come pick up the items. My mom went to pick up the missing items and they said the DoorDash already picked it up. They were mean on the phone and to my mom. They gave us attitude the whole time.

The waiter was really nice and knowledgeable of the food there. And everything was delicious. Definitely going back soon

I usually love this place! Usually we get takeout from this spot and it usually is absolutely delightful! But today the prawn Masala was extremely salty !? And not like a little salty I can look past it salty but like omg did the person accidentally dump the whole salt shaker in there ?? Idk if they have rotating chefs or what ? Food is moderately priced but to be so salty that it is inedible? Kinda money wasted.

The food is okay. I go there because I pass by it on my way home from work so its convenient and theres never any other customers there so the service is fast.

Decent Buffet Spread. Flavor is apparent, good amount of spice but freshness of proteins leaves a lot to be desired. Eaten multiple times pick up and it was better to my memory. Perhaps it was due to it being a slow day so the food was left out longer than usual, idk. Chai is good. Gulab Jamun was probably the best dish all around.

The food quality is great, the interior is okay. Some seats are rippped and there arent that many decorations. The food is pretty pricy as well, 2 people is around 45$~

We were waiting 45 minutes, no white rise available during buffet time, food low no clean plates only one server, this is not the first time happening.They need to be more efficient and have more servers during lunch time.Terrible service.

First time ordering here and Yusef was wonderful. Exceptional customer service and food was amazing! We ordered the chicken tikka masala with naan bread and mango chutney. Hit the spot! Definitely recommend!

Excellent food, exceptionally friendly staff, and the prices cant be beat! The buffet has a fantastic selection and everything is fresh.

We ordered the Beef Nahiri, Chicken Tikka Masala, Sada Chawal (rice), & the Garlic Naan. Everything was Very delicious. The waiter also told us about the afternoon buffet. Its best to go on the weekends so you can get a taste of a little bit of everything.

Foods flavors differs everytime I eat here but its not bad. They need to understand about mild, medium and spicy preferences.Overall a great food experience

My favorite Indian food in this area! Me and my girlfriend drive from Brentwood once a week to come here. Amazing service and the buffet is incredible. Highly recommend coming

The best Pakistan indian restaurant ! The people that work there are very kind. The flavors are bold delicious. I feel like home when im there, eating delicious amazing food with natural spices! A must try 😋

Karahi Paneer tasted good but it was little salty and oily. Channa masala was bland. There is a room for improvement. Servers were nice and polite.

I love this place. The buffet is a fair price and theres so much to choose from. If youve never had Pakistani cuisine this is a good place to try a bit of everything.

Good food and very nice people. Very good Indian food place with nice staff. They had a huge party going on at the same time that we were there so they were a little bit overwhelmed, however they apologized for the wait several times and were very attentive to make sure we were happy. Definitely would go again.

This is Indian and Pakistani food The best and quality food. I been going and ordering food from them for years. I lived in Concord last 35 Years. I always order food for Christmas and Partys from them since they open. I just went there last week with my daughter and granddaughter.. Go there and Enjoy...

Best basmati rice, and the Taj Mahal beer is good also. Their buffett is excellent as well, usually theres both chicken and goat curry in the buffet 11-3. I always try to get 2-3 cups of chai tea in while Im dining here. Nice people, quiet crowd. You can reserve a large private room if you have a large party.

Food is consistently good here. Prices are reasonable and portion sizes are good. Large enough to be filling and a good value, but not monstrous. They do a good job of spicing to the level you request without going crazy.

Lunch buffet is hands down the best Ive been too. Ive had dinner entrees as well but the buffet took the cake. So worth it. Im a vegetarian and can wat so much here.

For the food you receive, it should be half the price. My server did not once say your "welcome" or "thank you" and every time I smiled at him, his eyes told me he wanted to hit me. Dont waste your money here on mediocre, overpriced Indian food with terrible service. He did not bus tables thoroughly whatsoever and I could believe that they spit in our food from the way they looked at my friends and I. This is coming from someone who is in the restaurant business and has experience across the board. This restaurant is not worth your time or money. If my girlfriend wasnt a sweetheart, our server wouldnt have gotten a single penny in tips. I pay for the meal, she can cover the tip if she feels he deserved it, which I did not. Lucky for him, she did. DO NOT GO HERE. Youd be better off making a grilled cheese sandwich at home.

I felt like I was at home...except for that someone else cooked for me.😉 I tried every single dish. They all tasted great! The hospitality from the young lady at the front counter explained to me in detail each dish. I cant wait to go back. I definitely recommend this to all my family and friends

Food is good. But take too long to serve. If you want to order tandoori or roasted item after 8.00PM, chances are you wont get as restaurant close at 9.00PM strictly. ; (

Super super super good food. Great service. Served fast. Comfortable. Have tv and nice servers. The food tho- - - incredible. Garlic naan was great and the vegetables felt fresh. Clean too
