Relaxed spot for locally sourced breakfast dishes & sandwiches, plus craft brews & cocktails.
Happy local brunch in place in Temple with breakfast all day, full bar and mimosas. Happy staff that knows their menu. We enjoyed the food (great pancakes), the relaxed atmosphere and the laughter from more than one other table.
Great food. The biscuits are huge and the gravy good. The pancakes are fantastic. I really enjoy going there for the breakfast food. Highly recommend.
My breakfast was beautiful and delicious! The staff was so friendly and helpful. And yay for Vegan Options!Great Experience.Update: I also got to try the Cauliflower Tacos off the lunch menu and they were also very good!Their Salsa is also very yummy, so worth $.75.
Wonderful food and service. Potential for morning drinks if you so desire.
As with most restaurants today, help is the biggest issue. Our waitress was great, food was not. The waffle Benedict was tasty however lackluster. 1/4 of a cool waffle topped with poached egg not well drained equals soggy waffle. Only the eggs were fresh to the plate, everything else was steam table warm. My wifes crispy chicken wrap was even dimmer on the radiant heat scale. Cool fried chicken thats sat for a bit aint delectable! Its disturbing the trend we are in, mediocrity runneth amuck! Thanks Brandon!
Outstanding food and service.Shown: watermelon salad, pancake, grilled chicken wrap, and biscuit and gravy eggs Benedict. Not shown was the fuzzy OJ.
Extremely overpriced, and rather bland. I typically try to find the good, and in this case, it was the peaches atop of the avo toast with the scallions. Literally, those two items. The toast was so hard that I couldnt cut or chew through it, which made it very hard to eat. In fact, I only ate a few bites. The eggs were overcooked and dry, as well as bland. I took two other ladies to lunch and they were also displeased with their meals. One had the double burger, the other had gravy and biscuits. We saw our server once, and we had to ask for a refill even then. He wasnt observant or attentive.
Plenty of potatoes, very little sausage. Im 40 years old, and never have I been served such a small portion. Is this a kids plate, or are you helping your customers and putting us on a diet. Heres the photos, and yes, thats a quarter next to my sausages.
Everything anyone at our table has ever eaten here has been delicious. You can never go wrong with the daily specials (arrive early in the day for thoseor anything new they add to the menu either.
Fantastic farm-to-table breakfast and bakery. If youre in Tempe, this breakfast and brunch establishment is a must. There are numerous options for freshly made breads, pastries, and other baked products, and the pancakes are to die for. Ive found love!

Nice family restaurant, breakfast all day, lunch at lunch. We had about 20 people in our party, no problem doing our group. Everything tasted good. No complaints. Thanks
Im really glad I dont live close to Meggs because I would weigh 300 pounds. Our server was Dimitri; simply request him and wait for him to become available. The food is wonderful and diverse. I had a great hamburger for the first time. The following time, I had their Pastrami "hash" — it was nothing like the mush that our mother made! Served with two poached eggs and hollandaise sauce on top of a heaping serving of pastrami, potatoes, grilled onions, Brussels sprouts, and other ingredients. I NEED TO RETURN! Everyone else was content with theirs, especially since they have their own gardens!
Weve been regulars here for a few years. The food is always very good and priced pretty appropriately for what it is. The majority of our visits have been great. Me and my son had breakfast this afternoon and everything was top notch. I had the veggie omelet and he had steak and eggs. 🤤OUR SERVER Ashley was great as usual. Thanks for a great breakfast and service!
I have dine here on several occasions and normally would give a 5 review. The service is generally excellent this morning after 30 minutes we still had not been served. Drinks were refilled once. They comped our order and made it to go.But did not provide any utensils to eat it with.So our precious dogs will get it when we get home.We will return again as I said food is always good and normally service is excellent.I hope this morning is an exception
Ordered on 8/1/22, soup/sandwich & cinnamon roll. Small portions and on soup/sandwich plus the sandwich was dry. Cinroll was very dry too. Very disappointed about the cinroll bc I wanted to surprise my husband with it. I even tried toasting it but ended up throwing it away.
Although there were many options on the menu, we went there specifically for the eggs benedict. The best part about their eggs Benedict options was that you could mix and match them! We choose the traditional, sausage gravy benedict, with waffle and jalapeo bacon. All of them were excellent! The Lima Bean Soup that was the soup of the day was also excellent. Although the food was cold, it appeared that they might be understaffed, like many other establishments.
Had eggs benedict for the 1st time. It was so good, I came back the next day for more! Our server, Jennifer, did great too! Highly recommend!
I have been here more than once and I have never had a bad experience. Staff is friendly and food is made to order just as you request. One place I dont mind going to again.
Stopped to pick up blueberry muffin to take to hospital this morning. The muffin itself was good but one would think a blueberry muffin at $3.25 would contain blueberries. My sister didn’t find one and I found only one. Very disappointed. Just call it a plain muffin if you aren’t going to put blueberries in. I would expect one in almost every bite.
Lunch on a Sunday (arrived at 12:40took 2 and a half hours… we had to wait 30 minutes for a table for 2 which was not a big deal but then the service and kitchen was so incredibly slow we literally weren’t hungry anymore by the time we got our food…. We started with coffee and split one chocolate chip pancake which was great and came out pretty fast but then we waited almost an hour for the actual entrees! I had the roasted Turkey sandwich was honestly bland and dry so I don’t recommend. It seemed that our server was conscious of how much time we had spent there and were waiting but even when the food came out the time it took to get the check was almost another 20 minutes and then he had our cards for another 15!Overall, a somewhat decent spot for a basic American brunch lunch menu in Temple but don’t get your hopes up too much.
The food is fabulous and the service was amazing. I had the pecan pancakes. Crashed there to do work with my partner. We are leisurely as we worked on at the table using the WIFI. Never rushed or pushed out. It was busy, but no lines.
Thank you for allowing Youngs Daughters Funeral Home and Bereavement Center to host Death Cafe where we talked about all things with death, dying and its processes. We look forward to another event. The food was a great touch and staff was veey attentive. Thank you again
We visited for the first time today around 10:30am. There was no wait to be seated and we were greeted soon after by our waitress. There are trivia cards at the table to help pass the time as you wait for food, not that waiting for fresh home cooked food is an issue at all. The food is delicious with huge portions and the cucumber mimosa is amazing!
First time going here. Was definitely a great experience. The freshly homemade orange juice was top notch. Awesome selection of food for both adults and children. Very family friendly. Wait wasn’t more than 5 minutes tops.
Such a delight to find a place with healthy, delicious food. Our waiter was the most attentive one Ive ever had...and Ive eaten at top restaurants around the globe!
Went for the Eggs Benedict and mimosas - experienced great service. Grabbed a loaf of sourdough bread on the way out and it was gone by bedtime. Great place to have brunch with friends.
We have been here back to back for breakfast. Today my husband had the biscuits and gravy, both of which are homemade, and delicious! Today I made a homemade omelet, scrumptious! Sorry no pics but the mouth was watering when it hit the table.Fresh squeezed OJ is out of this world!
Avocado toast so fresh , pancakes 🥞 great 😊 amazing coffee…great place clean environment; friendly placeHIGHLY RECOMMENDED 🥰
First off my food was delicious. The house special butter nut squash and Brussels sprouts meal was amazing. It’s so nice to find vegetarian food that isn’t a salad. Price isn’t bad for the type of restaurant.But….service was pretty bad. We walked in 2 hours before closing, only a few tables full. There was 4 employees at the front, one of who was a manager of some sort. All 4 looked up and 2 of them made annoyed faces. None of them greeted us. After about 2 mins of awkwardly standing there one of them (a waitressasked us how many was in our party and if we wanted breakfast menus or lunch. Then she looked awkwardly at the others. Finally after another 2 mins of awkwardly standing there in silence, the manager sat us at a table. Our waiter was very professional and I have no issue with him. But while eating a couple was sat across from us and given drinks, their food orders were never taken. They left after about 25 mins. Also the floor was pretty dirty. I know it was nearish to closing time so I won’t be to hard on that.
Fantastic breakfast and bakery that is farm to table. A must visit breakfast and brunch spot if you are in Tempe. The pancakes are to die for and so many choices of fresh baked breads, cookies and other backed goods. I am in love!
Cucumber mimosas sent from heaven. I convinced it’s angel urine!! Staff that definitely had customer service as job one. I am a bruncher visiting from Florida and this was a great stop. I brought my 2 year old grandson and they made sure he was comfortable. The food was amazing, I had chicken and waffles and my daughter had eggs Benedict. Such a great vibe
I was recommend this place by a couple of people when I recently moved to Temple area; however, I do not see the hype. We waited over an hour for a table and once we got a table we waited approx 15-minutes before our server greeted us at the table. Food was pretty good but a bit too pricey for the size and quality. Bakery products were pretty good. I would personally not recommend this place.
Wonderful breakfast this morning. Seated by Richard....such a gentleman. Richard was so sweet to other diners, held an elderly ladies arm to assist her to a table did not go unnoticed.Jason was a great waiter as well. Thanks!
Absolutely fantastic place to eat. From the fact that they use food from local farmers, to the quality of their recipes, I cant remember a better breakfast. I had the Sweet Potato Hash, which was a perfect blend of flavors. Their chicken sausage mixed with veggies and eggs was creative and delicious. The morning cocktails are artisan level and finally, our server Justice Piper was always thinking ahead and considerate to our needs in a way that reminded me of how family can be.
Recommended by a friend and since we were driving through, we decided to check it out for brunch. The place was very busy with a wait, but that’s usually a good sign. I was immediately turned off as the host and hostess that worked today were extremely rude to everyone that walked in and seemed uninterested in any of the new guests walking in. They were not friendly, very short and rude, and acted annoyed that people were wanting to be on the wait list. The response was “You know that will be a 45 minute wait, right??” They desperately need some customer service training. On the other hand, our server was extremely friendly! He was definitely busy and it was hard to be attentive, but I was overall happy with the service. The menu had a lot of choices, but we were definitely there because we love eggs benedict. They had multiple eggs Benedict on the menu and the best thing was you could mix-match them! We went with the classic, the waffle and jalapeño bacon, and the sausage gravy benedict. All were very very good!! We also tried the soup of the day (Lima bean soupand it was delicious. The food was luke warm, but it seemed like they might be short-staffed like a lot of other places.I would definitely return and recommend the place. Just don’t expect much from The host and hostess.
The best Brussels sprouts! Service was amazing and everything tasted great. Thank you Demitri for being awesome!
Our server Piper was 10 stars. She was phenomenal !!! Checked on our needs several times and great with kids. I have a very picky eater (my grandson). But he cleaned his plate at Meggs. There was a bit of a wait, but worth every minute. My granddaughter had 3 cups (1-2-3of their FRESH SQUEEZED orange juice. I loved their pastrami hash. So many flavors. 5 stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Food was very good and the service was great as well, i would 100% go back again. I got the avocado toast and Mamosa trio. The cranberry was my fav and sec would be the apple.
Awesome breakfast but didnt have my sweet tea. Still had an amazing waffle Benedict and scrumptious Reuben. Great food, friendly service, and affordable.
Food was amazing. We waited about 45 minutes for 2 people to get a table during breakfast rush on a Sunday around 10am.Our waiter was a bit slow to get our drinks and orders and was helping the other tables more than ours. But once our order was placed, our experience was much better. The cinnamon rolls are a must try!
Edit: new visit on 9-14-21. Service was much better and the poutine was fabulous!. Bumping up to 3 stars. ThanksPrevious: This was probably our worst experience ever with Meggs. The restaurant wasn’t very crowded but we did have to wait for a table. There was one other couple sitting in the waiting area, so we had a seat and waited. Several others came in and added their names to the list. Then a couple come in and are told that there’s an outside table available if they would like it. I would have loved an outside table but since I didn’t ask for one I decided to wait. I checked my name and was told there were a few people in front of me. When I questioned this they said it would only be about 15 minutes. Well, we had already been waiting about 30 minutes so when they called others that came in after us we got up and left. We went to another restaurant and were sitting with our food when we got the call that our table was ready.
Crab dip-Grade-F. Very fishy tasting, we each took one bite and abandoned.Chicken and Waffles- Grade- D-.Bibb and Beet salad- C+. Good flavor. Pretty skimpy salad.Service- Grade-B. She was friendly and refilled drinks timely. Had to flag another server down for more syrup and she should had asked why the crab dip wasn’t eaten.Won’t return.
Food was great. Love these deviled eggs. It was super busy (as expected on Mother’s Daybut once we were sat everything came out pretty quick and the waitress was great!
So I really wanted to give 5 stars and on the other multiple visits I have. For the most part the restaurant is and does deserve 6 stars. This is a great place to eat. The food is awesome and delicious.Today we waited 30 minutes to be seated. That was ok. Sat at the table and watched two other tables get waited on before us, 10+ minutes into us sitting at the table. Finally getting our food, appetizers first, we still did not have silverware or napkins. After refills of coffee and now the meal, still no silverware or napkins. Finally asking for napkins and silverware we get some. The Pecan waffles that I ordered did not have pecans. The drinks were on point though. There was a positive. We will be back, however Im hoping next time is a better experience.
The Benedict egg combo (a mix n matchwas beyond delicious. Everything I tried.. from the potatoes to the Greenes sausage (BEST everThe hospitality of the staff was exceptional. Cant wait to visit again!
A bland atmosphere, more of a diner feel. Clean. Nice server. Breakfast all day. Pastrami hash was definitely creative. The Eggs Benedict was good but not great. I would go back, but probably not for an anniversary dinner.
We had about a 30min wait for our party, but half of us were running late anyway. The food was amazing & the staff was very nice. The last time I had eggs Benedict somewhere else the biscuit was pretty dry, but I got the crab cake eggs Benedict & it was just perfect. Never had anything like it! Their deviled eggs were to die for as well. We had plenty of space in our area to exchange xmas gifts too.
The service was phenomenal. Short wait!My daughter and I shared the egg Benedict with avocado. It was amazing..Also the butter pecan pancakes are super rich and creamy. Thank you Franky L for being a great waiter.
First time experience! Wonderful staff. Awesome food. Unique plating and dishes offered. If I lived in the area, Id go often! Their bread is fresh! Made in the bakery at the restaurant. Super fresh. They offer gluten free and egg free breads!Chicken and waffles, chorizo omelet, and creme brulee!
