Media Noche Cuban Cuisine - Cuban restaurant in Covina, United States
Paella was really a let down. Not what I would consider true to the dish. They decided to not bring any of our food until the paella was ready and decided they didnt need to stop back by the table until then either.
Excellent service, we love it here. The owners are very kind. Food was delicious..Will be back many times.
I go for the lunch buffet, which is like having multiple home-cooked treats.Plenty of items are included in the selection.Everything is so well-flavored and prepared that I never add salt or pepper.
Authentic Cuban food, service a bit slow.
Excellent food, great service. Wait time was a bit long. But worth it.
The service was excellent, very friendly. On Sundays theyve a buffet, havent tried it but it looks good.Food was great.
ABSOLUTELY AMAZING. This restaurant should have a complete five stars, everything tastes delicious and the service was great. Im begging you come on Sundays in order to hear the amazing live band that they have, they are super fun and amazing musicians. <3
What a great restaurant. Food is delicious and a decent size portion.
Hidden treasure.Omg the best Cuban food ever. Super friendly service and delicious appetizers and mains.
The place has a history of closing early. Dont post you close at 8 and close at 730 because you are slow. Or at least remove yourself from Food Delivery Apps. You waste customers and drivers time just to tell them “we are closed”
We arrived there was only 2 other patrons at a table. After waiting almost 40 minutes the waitress took our orders a second time. It took almost 2 1/2 hours to get all 4 plates on the table. We asked to speak to manager, but waitress said manager was not there. So my friend left her number, the waitress than apologize for long wait and said manager would call. Of course no call back. If you want to eat lunch here you should order in the a.m. and hope it ready by dinner.
Best Cuban food I have ever had. My usual order is the pollo asado and tostones. The garlic sauce is delicious. Always tastes amazing. I have never been to Cuba, but the music and environment make me feel like I am somewhere else.
First time at this place. Very friendly staff. Ordered a media noche for lunch, with some tostones. Very good taste and portion. Well definitely go back.
Absolutely DO NOT go here.I could list all the reasons and headaches about this place...Let me give you the main 2 as to why..The food we ordered took 3.5 hours to make. 24 orders....3.5 HOURSAnd when I called simply for updates, the manager looked at the phone ring and ignored it entirely.Thats all you need to know to make your decision on this place.Your call...youve been warned.
Food was not worth the price. Very small portions and not anything special. There arent many cuban places in the area so many people have nothing to compare the subpar food with. Service was bare minimum. Didnt seem like they wanted to answer the phone. Upon arrival there was no one at the front desk. I waited for 5 mins before anyone came out.
Super yummy great service. Has now become one of my regular go to places. And they have live music on the weekends.
Been here several times and have had no problem. Unfortunately my last visit was not great. I think they were understaffed. Had a hard time getting the waitress attention to come check on us and my food was cold.
Went in today and was disappointed with the quality of the food and the portions and on top of that they raised the prices! If the food is good it’s worth it but when it’s not the best and the portion is small it’s not worth it !!
¡Que desastre! Never coming back here. Food over priced. Portions super small. Ordered a$20 pork chop that looked like it was cut on a meat slicer. Thinner than a Ritz cracker if you could believe that. They need to drop prices or give real portions. The other reviews are probably written by friends or family of the owner, or people who never had authentic cuban food.
Really liked the pork tamales 🫔 sort of decomposed with the filling on the outside. Delicious morsels of crispy pork on top. 👌👍 Oxtails tasted good but were not very tender. ☹️
Wow! Mofongo con chicharrones!! Soooo good! Was brought here for a family lunch pre celebration of mama S retirement party. Muy sabroso 😋 Very personable experience. The Yucca super good as well as the fish rice n beans. Im guessing you cant go wrong with anything you select. A real top chef in the kitchen making authentic dishes for you. Muchísimas gracias! Disfruta!!! 💋😘
Great food and helpful staff. Will answer any questions you may have about Cuban food. Only open on Thurs, Fri, Sat and Sunday. No alcohol, you can bring your own wine if you like.
Went in when the place was less busy. Tried the Paella Del Mar and Fiesta Cubana, both were incredibly delicious and came out rather quick. Their bread appetizer with dip was also yummy and warm. Their bread pudding is okay, a little on the dense side. Our waiter was very friendly and very attentive!
The server was rude. Just threw everything on the table. They make you wait for a long time before been serve. The Cuban sandwich was very salty. The drinks had noflavor. Very expensive. Not worth the money. Dont go to this restaurant. The servers should be Cuban not mexican.. Mcdonslds better
Its Cuba in Covina, serving deliciously made food from the heart of the Chef to your dinner table, with The Pride of Cuban culture cooking to your taste buds...you will not be disappointed with this small whole in the wall GEM..Bring your family, and friends and enjoy the Hospitality, Music, and of course the FOOD!
My mom and I love this place. We tried it for takeout earlier this year and have gone back a few times and have never been disappointed. Finally was able to dine in and experience it as one should last week. Good service, yummy toasted bread with a garlic bean spread whets your appetite while awaiting your meal. I am addicted to the citrus marinated fried pork with mojo sauce and the Fufu. So darn delicious!Great menu selection which seems to be fairly authentic Cuban fare.
First timers eating Cuban food. It was great, the Cuban sandwich, papas ball, mufungo, and fried salty plantains w/dip. All of it was excellent. And the passion fruit water was soooooo good.
Man! This place was amazing. Decided to drop in on a Sunday and try the buffet. Absolutely delicious. Service was great. What an experience! Well be back...
Delicious Cuban food! Service was great too! I had Lechon Asado and it was very tender. One of the best dishes I ever had! Ive tried many Cuban restaurants and this one is a 💎 gem!
This restaurant is one place that beats the rest when it comes to the food and the customer service 👍 man the best steaks and mofongo i have had in A very long time this place gets 10 stars in my book......
Great buffet , Awsome friendly environment customer service was outstading. The food is tasty and warm the desert are filled with sweet flavor. They have Live music and its amazing here . Support your local business they are what make our community.
Love this place... Food is awesome flavor, everything... Service very professional...
Really great food; buffet is small but everything tastes like it was cooked to order with care vs the usual MO of en masse and as cheap as possible. Have giant heated platter of seafood rice that tastes amazing. I usually avoid carbs at buffets but I couldnt stop eating that rice. Oxtail was just as good too, very flavorful. Chicken comes at a close second. You wont be disappointed!
The food is DELICIOUS! This was my first time and it did not disappoint. Great Cuban food, great taste, great staff. Brunch buffet has many options of food even up to seafood. They have live music which is amazing! I cant wait to come back
Tasty weekend brunch, all you can eat.
Foods amazing. Staff is very friendly but I have to give them 4 stars Its really hot inside at times unbearable until someone walks in the door and the fresh air hits you . Otherwisei would give them all 5 stars.
Great Food, Bad ServiceIm conflicted on this place because hands down the chef who makes this food is great, but the service here is almost non-existent.First off the food, if you can take it to go, do so. It is wonderful, delicious and reasonably priced. I was very pleased with my meal of Carne con Papas, where the meat was tender and juicy, potatoes soft and soaked in seasoned gravy. The beans were cooked to perfection and overall presentation was just flawless. Now the bad part, the service here needs some attention. They arent rude, at least directly, but unattentive and lacking in some basics. The tables werent cleaned for the ones they said "were just cleaned" and after looking at them with us, they proceeded to clean it. I stood waiting to be seated for upwards of 10 minutes with 2 separate people telling me they would seat me, clearing up space and moving tables for my party before they dropped what they were doing for another task without any word or notice to me that they had done so.One of the service members had her phone ring and answered it, I figured it was a business phone but she seemed to be on personal calls because she just walked away and was on the phone for some time. Eventually I sat myself down without any service member telling me where to sit.So overall, great food, subpar customer service.
Its been over a year since I first frequented this restaurant and I returned because that experience was very positive. Sadly, that cant be said this time, which is a shame, because I love Cuban food. The food really wasnt the problem. My meal was a bit dry but otherwise tasty. The service was absolutely terrible. We were brought out drinks and the appetizer without having any napkins or silverware. I had to ask to resolve that. The main course took well over 40 minutes which left us sitting with an empty table for quite a while as they had already picked up the plates from the appetizer. The waitress passed by our table with nothing but empty drinks multiple times before I flagged her down to request refills. The final oddity was when I asked for the check and was told that we could pay up front. She actually read off our items from a screen, told us the total and then turned the screen around for me to select a tip amount from that totally obnoxious app so many places are using these days. No receipt was offered or given. I wont be returning.
The food is good. Ive been here a few times. On my last visit, my small daughter found a roach in the bathroom. After we walked out of the bathroom, we saw another on the floor. Did not want to eat and wonder if there were roaches in the kitchen too.
This place was great. I really loved the Ropa Vieja and the pork dish that the owner recommended. The bread that they serve with each meal is amazing and was warm and crispy on the outside. The service was excellent and the owner was very sweet and friendly. I completely recommend this place to anyone who wants amazing Cuban food.
Seen this place as I was driving by they had the buffet sign up for $13 unfortunately it was Saturday and that the only day they dont have the buffet. We still decided to try the place and werent disappointed! We had guava water, the rice dice was Paella, and the steak dish is churrasco with chimichurri sauce on top that was so delicious.
Amazing food, tried the Cuban soda it was delicious and buffet was amazing as well. Staff was very welcoming and service was quick and they even gave us fruit!
Great service, very welcoming. Even better food. We had papas rellenas, empanadas, and a Cuban sandwich. All extremely delicious. Cant wait to try the rest of the menu.
Wonderful place and such pleasant and courteous customer service. Oralia is the BEST waitress I have ever had at any Restaurant!!! She says, "Its God In her!" I just raved and raved at how pleasant she was and how she made me feel at home!!! The food was also exceptional! Oralia suggested the Pinnacle Sea Bass, which was truly fantastic!!! I will be back to try other dishes and to visit my favorite waitess!! Please say Hello to her for me when you stop in!!! Thank you, Oralia and Media Noche, for such great service!! ☄☄☄☄☄ 5 Shooting Star Rating
This place is so delicious! Authentic Cuban food in Covina. Such a rarity and this is a hidden gem, I tell you. We got cuban tameles, braised oxtail, and Im not sure what the pineapple dish was but ALL were delicious. I didnt get a chance to have their Paella Del Mar. Id advise to call and order that ahead of time cause it take 30 mins to make. Cant wait to try it! This place should seriously be on Diners, Drive Ins and Dives.
All the dishes just burst with flavor here! My husband and I go out and eat a lot (way to muchso everything kind of tastes the same. We came to their Sunday buffet and every dish I could taste was absolutely delicious! The service is great and friendly as well.
This was my first time at this restaurant. Food was delicious and fresh. I had a Cuban Sandwich while my wife had the skirt steak. My only qualm was the service was a little slow for my taste and I like to eat slow. We will definitely be back.
The owners are awesome! Friendly staff. Awesome live entertainment! Food tastes like home made. Excellent quality place all around!
Came here for the Sunday brunch. Not huge but decent selections. But it actually tastes really good! Huge pan of paella. Small bite size desserts but we had like 4 things of flan. Also got the passion fruit drink and it was quite tasty. Refills are $1 but the glass was large enough for my husband and me so we didnt even need a refill.
Loved the food. Our waiter was so nice and since it was our first time she made different recomenations based on general food we like. And we loved our meals. Everyone was very nice. And The HOST he is just one sweet man. Will be going back to try the buffet.
