Medan Selera Glutton Square Teluk Intan - Food court in Teluk Intan, Malaysia
Went there for breakfast but not much choice in the morning. Perhaps I should go at night or lunch time next time. Had wantan mee and Cham for breakfast. Food was So so. Nothing to shout about .
Walla food is a pleasant topic to review, had a stop over at Teluk Intan while passing through the town centre we stumbled upon this food court called Glutton square at town center.I decided to try out the hawker food since its already tea time and my crave for some local food. I decided to try out the curry noodles (loh see fun), looks tempting. Glad to have made the right choice, it was yummy with a scrumptious taste. A delightful feeling to enjoy this bowl of curry noodles. The curry is not spicy neither is it salty though the look says otherwise. The gravy was creamy comes with a savoury appetiser and with added toppings though its not the traditional Chinese style curry noodles with cockles, squids and pig blood curds. For a change I had fish balls, fried tofu skin and shredded chicken meat added on. Different topping still tasted good and the price is fairly reasonable, all depends on the size, toppings and other add on.One thing for sure I really enjoy the meal, sweating profusely due to the hot weather. Would love to try out other types of hawker food here the next time around. From the outlook and the crowds, I assumed that the food here would be nice. So if you happens to be in the neighborhood dont forget to have a try and support the local hawkers. Have a good time and enjoy your meal.A LIKE would be appreciated if you find this review informative. Thanks
You can get good choices of food there.
Whatever your desire, you can satisfy it here. The price is reasonable and taste is good.
Nice food from the other side of glutton square, popiah and red bean soup from stall no. 1, super cheap char kuey teow RM4.50 from stall No. 21
Some of the comments said its open at night. So I came in the evening for dinner. It turned out only a few stalls opened. I ordered char kuey tiow since not much choice of food. Taste normal. Price reasonable.
Standard drops alots
Not much shop was opened at around 5pm. Tried the do re mi shaved ice. Quite nice
This is an iconic food court in Teluk Intan with food stalls serving varieties of local foods and delicacies, its a must visit.
there was only a few places to eat for dinner at Teluk Intan n we choose to eat here , even inside, a few vendors open so we tried their Curry Mee , Mee Soup , taste was different from the others ive tried n its nt too thick
The stall selling kuih is not honest. Went bought some kuih today. Made order and go other stalls to buy noodles. This kuih seller pack my kuih but gave me all the leftover sides although he juz started the day. Dishonest. Watch him if ur buying his kuih
Do Re Mi ice kacang selling since 1953, thats 67 years! Nice and cheap. Went there after 8pm, stall still open.
Dirty claypot rice run by some arrogant operators. Miss the days when it were run by previous owner long ago. The food quality that time were much better.
Most of the stalls here have nice food except 1 that I find is really too much.Their mixed rice are very expensive and always try to push their soup, prawn and lala, very unethical 😩😩
One of the oldest food court in town. Lots of stalls can be found here. U can find good curry noodles, yong tau foo, yao char kuey, good coffee and many more
Curry mee RM4.50 and prawn mee RM5 are good. Asam Laksa RM4.50 taste too light. Claypot chicken very nice RM7. Fried Kuay Teow is still ok.
Good place to try out local food. Must try when in town.
Good food court for all the local delicacy, opens until dinner but only left with limited options. Hygiene wise need a lot of attention since its quite old and didnt practice much food safety. Leftover plates will be left there overnight and imagine rats and cockroaches dining on the plate there
Several stalls selling ABC, not cheap,RM4 per bowl.wanton mee taste weird. Average place to eat.
My go to place whenever I go back to Teluk Intan, my hometown. It just gives a homely feeling. The bubur ayam here is great along with the mi kari and prawn mee.
no many choices at night. stall left wantan mee, chay koay teow with fresh calm, mixed rice, curry mee & prawn mee, yong tau fo & fruit juices.
Hawker stalls with nostalgic taste.....Some of the best tasting items are Mee curry, Mee Udang(with lots of prawn slices), Wan Tan Mee kicap, Signature Claypot rice ( try eating with their blanched Sayur Salad😍), and to refresh our throats please try the Hawaii Ice or Ice Kacang🤤🤤......The best part is, the prices are jolly good reasonable.....I hope u all will love it too....Enjoy life and Food...
There are stalls selling different types of food here. The Bar Bee nyonya kuih is delicious. Prawn mee and curry noodles are tasty too. The Teluk Intan chee cheung fun sold here is nice, not too oily like the famous one
Ice kacang quality drop. Curry noodles shop not open for business. The Sam Siew Yeh chee Cheong Fun is so so only compare to Liew Kee CCF.
One of the famous food court in TK Intan town.
Plenty of food choices with reasonable price. Laksa noodle only RM 4.50. Some stalls open in the mornings and noon while others at night. Recommended place to come and tried wide variety of food at teluk intan
I like the claypot chicken 🐔 rice. The public toilets are filthy and appear unwashed for a long time. There is no water. Smelly anduninviting
Kopi O, Fried Char Kuey, Sesame Horse Leg & Five Spice Salty Bun for tea time. Old fashion & solid taste overall. You seldom find awesome texture & crunchy skin of these food in the city anymore.
There are a variety of food to satisfy your stomach. Also not so expansivelah. Come and try, you will surely be satisfied for your moneys worth.
Not bad. Its a place that serve non-halal food such rice with pork and can mix with chicken, wantan mee, curry noodles and so on. Its not expensive at all. Located not far from MBO cinema. Its cosy place and not too crowded with people.
Dont go too early in the day as most stalls only open after 1pm. Good place with alot of variety, however taste is satisfactory only.
Really cheap and good Chinese food. Its a non halal food court. Wan tan mee, curry mee and kuih are aplenty. Highly recommended if youre looking for.Chinese food after 3pm in the area.
Traditional food court of Malaysia. Nice food, reasonable menu. Must try lychee flavoured iced Tender coconut water
This food court is good because it serves pork :D Normal small town food court. There is not much to do in a sleepy town except eating : This place have been renovated many years back. Not as charming as the old style but modern now for convenience.
The price are too expensive with small portion only! The aunty selling food has poor attitude! She get angry and scolded us,really not satisfied with this place!!
Curry mee is a must paired with yong taufu (side orderthe curry mee stall with somewhat nostalgic look tasted better than the middle stall one.
It was coming six in the evening when I went there for two consecutive days on Monday and Tuesday. There is quite a lot of stalls available there, but only a handful of them are opened for business.I wanted to try the curry wan ton noodles, but I could not see any noodles at the particular stall. Seeing nothing that fancy me along that lane, I went to the next lane and tried the fried kwei teow there. It was a total let down. Other than being too salty for my liking, it does not taste as it should be.Before I left the Glutton Square, I bought some nyonya kuih from a corner stall nearby to take home. On the way out, I also bought some fried delicacies like the yew tiau and the ham chim peang. The next day sees me trying some fried kwei teow at a nearby market. It was way better than the one in Glutton Square. I headed to Glutton Square to buy the nyonya kuih again as It tasted good, but they were sold out. I settled for other types of kuih, which also taste delicious.I saw another stall which was not opened yesterday selling fried kwei teow along the corridor nearby. His could have tasted better? But alas, the store selling the fried delicacies at the corridor was not open that day.
Street food hub for teluk intan, you can find from seafood, fried food, ice kachang, drinks to Zichar. One of the must try food center in Teluk Intan. It used to have the black sauce thick noodles stir fried in charcoal but have since moved to elsewhere. Dont forget to try their fried kway teow and chee cheong fun which is very tasty.
This is a food adventure in Glutton Square Teluk Intan, Perak, Malaysia where locals go for food. If you are looking for some place to eat in the afternoon, try checking the stalls in there. Here are some of the food available in Glutton Square. Glutton Square oppposite of the Sekolah Agama Rakyat dan Dewan Masjid India Muslim.
My favourite food is only curry noodles. The taste was superb. The place need to renovate n refurbish. Too dirty n not clean at all. Is such a waste if no one willing to contribute n to improve this place.
Food is a bit hit and miss but if you are hungry for some Chinese street food then go your hardest. They have a shaved ice stall which I thought was pretty good. Other than that, your on your own.
Visited the place at about 3pm. Most stall closed but chicken rice at entrance open .Good crispy chicken. Rice was cooked to perfection. Also ice kacang stall across the chicken rice worth trying. Parking a bit of a problem. Park further easy near the cenima.
A foodie haven, which has somehow managed to evade the progress around it. Looks the same for the past 10years. Good food, ample options. However, management has to do something about the upkeep n cleanliness of the place. Be adventurous, try it out!
Yr visit to Teluk Intan is not complete without eating here. Must try their char Kuey teow..taste even better when u tapau cos its packed with banana leaf!
Got a lot of food, the best is the chicken rice and the claypot rice. The beverages also very fresh and good, Hawaii, fresh juice and so on
This glutton square is popular with the locals... It is clean with many stalls selling food and drinks... You can find ice kacang, all types of ice drinks, fruit juice for that craving....
Great place to eat with many choices of food to choose from. Great dessert and drinks options.
Great place with many local food. The Wan Tang Noodle (thats how they spell itwas not bad, and they added stewed pork leg pieces. Sadly they forgot to put in the char siew. RM7. Pretty tasty. Also had the Kueh Tiau Goreng (trilingual sign in Chinese, Malay & Tamil- fried rice noodles - which was also pretty tasty RM4.50. Stumbled on a stall selling fried chicken & Lobak (fried tidbits like spring rolls, meat rolls, fish ballsand they also sell fried chicken SKIN! Talk about shiok! 3 large pieces of crispy skin cost RM1. Its the Aun Tie Fung stall (see photos)
