Me’nate Steak Hub JB (Johor Bahru) in Johor Bahru

Turned me off as the Staff kept pushing for fresh meat that cost around RM1400++ for us ( 2 adults + 2 kidsand kept saying its worth it and can take away if we can’t finish the meat. I guess management need to train staffs to have courtesy of asking guest/customer their budget or rather start from the lower tier meat to upper tier. Do remember not all customer can afford the expensive meat. (Upper range meatwe ended up bought meat that we can afford and those suits our family budget. We ignored the staff recommendation of all the upper tier meats.

Fans of meat? Come down here! There is a seafood too.

The location is strategic but lack of parking space. The staffs are polite and cooperative. They guided me from how to order as this is my first time dining i here. They even offered to take photograph of my family. The steak was very good. The price shown includes prep and cooking. Ordered Tomahawk and Wagyu for my special day.

Its a nice place for halal steak.

Food all good especially the wagyu rib.. fav place for my family and i. Tonight we are here for 8th wedding anniversary dinner. Service excellent. The senior waiter Akmal was so friendly .

Good service provided - served by few waiter & waitress , get to know the waiter Amal(our cashier too👍 We love the rib steak with bbq sauce, so tender !

The staff are so kind and polite, treats my family with joyful. The taste of foods are so delicious, and thanks to all of the hard works that the chef have done ! Good experience and will come again !

Service is super lousy. Not efficient at all. I called the waiter to take over my order.He didn’t bring any notes to jot down my order so our order were messed up he could not remember anything at all.We have to repeat several times. So not satisfying at all. Even kita suruh waiter untuk pergi amik kertas dan tulis, he denied and still standing there trying to remember our orders. I won’t come back anymore.The nachos we ordered were scattered into pieces. Seriously don’t waste your time having food here.

Steak cuts were good, but the way the steaks were cooked were not. No char, lack of seasoning, cant taste rosemary - for a place that charges a premium, I expect that much. The chili chips were good though. There was also a rat running across the overhead wiring area. If I were to return, its only to just buy the meat and Id cook it myself at home.

Just stop by here to enjoy my lunch. Unfortunately no one attending me. Have to self-request the menu. For first-timer its no recommended here. Youll be confuse

Got pricetag on their beef. So choose wisely.. Its really good. I will come again

We ate at 230pm on a weekday and service is efficient with very minimal waiting time. Food were cooked well. Definitely will come again...

service: 2/5food: 3/5I love their steak and lamb and always go there for special occasions. but I feel their service does not match their food. asking for a side plate taking so long to come. waiting for order to be taken also a long time.there one time I go there and order wagyu Tomahawk, and it is very salty. wasted my money! not recommend this place.

Terrible. Dont waste your money.The staff were friendly however the service was awful.There were over 5 front of house staff on, but we had to ask to have our drinks order taled; and we had to ask for cuttlery: and we had to ask for the staff to clear the menus long after we had ordered.While our food was being prepared, we could see a swarm of at least 12 flies landing directly on our food as it waited at the pass.None of the steaks were anything special. My wife ordered a steak at RM278 and it was thin, over cooked, and tasted sweet.Our daughter ordered the lamb ribs. These were inedible.It was a big mistake going to this place.We will not be going back

My opinion,the taste is just okay² to me. Nothing spectacular. The black pepper sauce is just ordinary.I ordered lamb ribs.Not going to dine again. I would rather just go to normal steakhouse. On a note,the rice special hari raya haji is too expensive at rm15. Other than that,the price is reasonable.

Long story short: Wagyu Steak rare was very dry, tastes dismal (as seen in pic). Lamb leg was subpar. Dont even order the popcorn chicken, it was so sweet, I’d rather they served plain fried popcorn chicken. The Tapas tastes like a malay lauk. The garlic bread tastes like planta / margarine instead of butter. Best thing we ate was the nacho chips

I would like to say many thanks for the staff that help us very much. They event call me for my reservation reminder and confirmation. Food also so great and delicious.

Last minute decision to go. Arrived at 10pm almost closing time. They took us in and fed us like your grandma used to do.The coleslaw is simply divine, meat is perfect, free flow of drink. They should have one in Singapore.

The steak is okay but the gravy taste average.

Came here twice so far and both times the steak were great.

The attitude/service skills of a certain waiter could have been better. Thank you to the manager for understanding our issue in regards to incorrect order and settled it in peace. Since its an expensive range of meal, its not as simple as just giving discount which only 10% the waiter had to offer. Otherwise, the other waiter/ess had been kind.

Price was reasonable and affordable.Menu selection was good too.Except for the steak, the complements were cold.Portion of complements was small especially the mashed potato.Sauce too was cold.No ice or warm water offered.Must pay.No bread served same like most western restaurant.Food was standard and nothing exceptional.The beef carbonara was very spicy.Was not indicated on the menu.The free juice that comes with the steak was not juice but cordial.Overall....average

The meat is tender. Able to choose your own meat from the fridge. The guy that serve me is very knowledgeable in explaining the which meat and the done-ness of the meat. Overall, it is a good experience.

Service staff are well trained, We order some pasta, mushrooms soup, fried chicken wings and Grill spring chicken. Food are delicous but drinks are much to be desired. My americano is very diluted.Also I notice, most negative review met with the same reply. Not very personal , giving the impression that no one really care about the review.

The steak was amazing and it was so good. You can really see how experienced and skilled all the people who works here. They are very friendly and accommodating. It was a pleasure to experience dining here.

Having my dinner here yesterday. First experience @ Menate JB. Front service are fast but the preparation of food was a little bit slow. But at the end, the food taste was wallah fantastic! Worth waiting. I wonder if the food preparation really took that kind of extra time to come out with good taste? If this is the situation, Menate have to inform customers time for us to get our food ready! By the way, for me, to get a good food is worth waiting...😉

Went for Iftar 2022. Service was good and food was awesome too. Will go again on normal day to try their steak.

Service was fantastic! There were many varieties of delicious food. Staffs were very polite and are knowledgeable about the types of meats selections and type of food. Having dinner on my birthday with my lovely children. The food was good and the crews were very responsive.

Parking was easy to get during lunch time and since we made a reservartion, we were seated quite promptly upon arrival. However, there were limited choices to the meat cuts - a lot of cuts were unavailable (due to customer load for the past few days of CNY break). Ended up with a wagyu striploin, grass fed rib eye, lamb and beef ribs.Beef ribs were the best one, flavourful and falling off the bone. The steaks were cooked to the requested specification but a little underseasoned. Would be great if table salts are available for customers to adjust the seasoning to their likingStaffs were friendly and efficient. Would probably come again for the ribs. Oh.. the mushroom soup was flavourful too.

One of best experience. A bit pricey but it is expected but its worth it.. you can choose the meat based on weight and price. So you can choose based on your budget.. will repeat when my wallet allowed it..

On Monday afternoon at 2 pm, I went to the restaurant to order two entrees during off-peak hours, and I waited half an hour for one and 45 minutes for the other! I asked the waitress why it was so slow, and she seems like disinterested to serve. Food is average and serving is slow. The meatballs were not hot and the grilled chicken was tough and rubbery. Although, the price is considerably cheap, probably will only patronize once.

First time visit on Christmas Eve based on recommendations with online research for steak. Reasonable food with reasonable price. We ordered 2 mushrooms soup with garlic bread, Angus Ribeye steak, Lamb loin, half roasted chicken and a pot of lemon grass & ginger tea for two of us. Total damage was approximately RM230. We couldn’t finish the chicken & requested for take away which the staff assisted. Friendly staff but less attentive. The restaurant was a bit too warm and humid even on a rainy day. Cleanliness requires improvement as there was stains on the cup saucer and tea pot. Comparatively, we prefer George & Dragon Cafe in terms of the cosy ambience and more relaxing procedure to order the steak/ lamb without having the customer to go to the freezer to order separately like how it was done at Me’nate Steak Hub.

Food here is always excellence but service is really sucks n slow..always food arrive first and drinks very slow n much later even no customer in the restaurant. The kitchen works faster n efficient then the servers

This place is definitely for steak lovers. Varities of tender scrumotious beef, lamb and fish (Seabassare available to cater our tastebuds.Definitely, Menate Steak Hub JB observes very strict compliance on the SOP spelt. Body temperature scanning and registration only through MySejahtera are a must. Hand sanitizers are available too. The reception staff will check that guests have had their second dose completed before being allowed to dine-in..Price wise, maybe some people might say ot is on the high side, but the finished product and the taste, sets the right balanced amount to pay..Staff are very friendly , taking orders with broad sunny smile which makes guests feel welcome..Waiting for the food to be served onto the table are not loo long. Just about 15 to 20 minutes..The ambience is warm with nice bright lighting and tables are spaced accordingly as guided by the Kementerian Kesihatan Malaysia. On my visit there, there are not much crowd which is around 7 30pm. Nevertheless as the night moves, more guests are lining up to dine-in..I do recommend to all friends and families to experience the best steak in town. However I was made known that this is the only Menate Steak house in Johor Bahru. They should open up new outlets as to cater the growing number of steak cravers..Append are some snaps that I took the opportunity to record during my visit.

Ive tried eating here several times before (when dine in still allowed), most of the food were nice. Today I ordered their Hawaiian Chicken Burger thru GrabFood. It came with a really big disappointment, I think they just should stop selling this or change the chef or whatever, for RM30 for this kind of burger, its really not worth it! Patty & taste both failed miserably. Roadside burger is a lot lot better.Ive tried their Angus burger before and it was nice. Didnt expect their chicken burger to be so horrible. I hope the management would look into this and do something with it. Tq

One of the best place for lamb dishes. We enjoyed our food.. The mama mia fettucine is delicious. Fresh lobster. Have to go early or book a table since its always crowded.

Overall it was good but not great. I didnt feel they treated the steak right and the value for money factor was low when compared to Georges. My party had 5 mains (including a steak3 desserts for about RM400++ I would have preferred to head over to George & the Dragon; where we had 5 mains (including a steakand 6 desserts for about the same price, but thats just me.

The food is pretty nice, the pasta and the sauce is good but the white sauce so so. No air conditioning so prepare to get wet. You can come here to choose the part of meat that you want and ask them to cook, also to choose the level of rawness. However the service is bad, they only welcome malay

Need to wipe it more thorough. Cleanliness is OK.4Quantity of food: OK. Enough to satisfy a huge tummy like mine.5Quality of food: OK. Ordered pasta arrabiata (yeah. I read suggestions and decided to give it a try. Worth it!). If you love spicy foods, do order this pasta and ask them to prepare it spicy. The taste is not just plain spicy, but you can taste the herbs as well. Worth it. The same goes for the Cheesy chicken burger we ordered. The fries is not salty (which is great coz I dont like salty fries), and the fries taste like a home-made one. The patty is juicy, and not oily, and there is 3 patties in 1 burger. So satisfied with it.6Dessert: Ordered puding roti (they got different name for it but I forgot). It was served with vanilla ice cream on top of it with some berries. It was quite hard actually, the bread. Would be nice if they can heat the bread before serving.7Ordered hot choc and choc milkshake. Just taste like normal ones. OK.8Quality of service: All of our order completed before 8 minutes (yes, I kept my phone stopwatch, just curious how fast our order can be served). However, they need to improve on the way they approach their customer, and how to handle situations. They also need to improve on order takings and not to confuse customers. Out of 10, I would give 6 for customer service. Or even 5.All that we ate, including a mistakenly ordered half roasted chicken, costs us around RM112. Taste wise, worth it.

Bit pricey.. Fast and attentive service. Usually pack after 8pm even on weekdays night. Wouldnt recommend the salmon.. Taste the same as non premium restaurants.Wagyu recommended. Theyll advice how to cook them.. Whether well done or etc.Try the thermidor lobster.. Superb.The spaghetti taste salty a bit heavy on the cheese for carbonara.Lamb also superb.Burger is juicy.Recommend free flow drink with many flavour instead of buying single choice drink.I would recommend this place.

Considered high end steak house but not crazy price, the beef pricing are all around RM 70-80 for a good cut and they have wagyu option. Or you can choose mutton shabu (mutton sliceat around RM 30+. The taste is great and the mushroom soup below RM 10. Nice ambience and not crowded if you go off peak, near the road so its not a quiet place. They have lobsters too. You choose the food from the fridge and they cook it, NICE!!Tips : They have free flow of drinks

The place was easy to find, family friendly and had a nice environment. However I would say all of their steaks was pretty pricey, and they charge per 100g, which means the actual price was at least double or 1.5x more. I ended up ordering their other dishes, which I was pleasantly surprised with. Except for their meat balls, they were very tough and hard to chew. Otherwise, give their other dishes a try, they were delicious. Recommend their Mac&cheese!
