McMahon Park (Clare Lake) - Park and Garden in Ros Comain, Ireland
A Beautiful sunny day for a dog walk to round off my week in Ireland 🇮🇪😁☀️🐕
Love ittt
Always lovely place to be
Really beautiful lake
Nice easy walk and the little folks enjoyed the new giant features
Beautiful park kept clean of litter and excellent trails with a beautiful lake
Lovely scenery very walkable trail will definitely go back again to chill
Do you want your kids to see ducks and geese then go here. And theres the giants walk. Brilliant.
Beautiful day beside the lake with ducks, geese and grey cranes. A wonderful spot to stop and have a snack with family and friends.
Wonderful natural amenity in Claremorris.
Great place for family picnics and day out a lovely walk around it with great attractions for kids
Beautiful spot to go. The park is really nice and is almost pristine with the exception of a odd little bit of litter left by some idiots. There is a large array of plants and wildlife around the park, including lots of ducks and geese. The park is also wheelchair accessible. The entrance gates to the park are closed at 8pm.
Was amazed how tidy and clean this little gem is just in off the main road. Wheelchair friendly and a huge greeting from the ducks that roam free which is lovely to see. Very safe for kids where the lake is well fenced off. Nice little treck for all the family.
This was a nice short walk in busy Claremorris, enjoyed the walk around the lake and selection of wild fowl, greeted people off all ages from the very young pram occupiers, to the quite elderly.
Lovely park with such a lovely view of lake and lots of ducks
Nice Park adjacent to playground & car park. The lake is lovely. Lots of wildlife too (ducks, geese, swans). Good access and surface for prams.
Nice place to have a walk. Kids were thrilled by the ducks.
Very nice park to go for a long walk
McMahon park is a really lovely place, you can do so much like bring your and kick a football around or even a picnic. I really enjoyed this park because of the beautiful view and all the most beautiful plants and flowers
Fantastic park, well kept with no litter. Geese, ducks and other animals around the lake, some lovely little piers and a decent walking route long or short depending on what youre looking for. Peaceful and quiet despite being right in a nice sized town. Fantastic place for a weekend walk/jog.
Lovely area and sights
It used to be an amazing place to walk for children and adults but over the years half of the giant features have rotted or been vandalised, and removed. Its a shame.Still a nice walk with a good path around the lough and a good childrens playground next to the car park. Hopefully theyll do it up a bit and replace the giant attractions.
Lovely spot, great to entertain the kids for a few hours. Just a pity there isnt a coffee stand during the week.
Can have a good walk with pets. But there will be no lights, if it gets dark might be unsafe.
Lovely lake walk, even on Cold morning. Nice to see lots of people out and enjoying it.
Beautiful plus a weird duck
Lovely, by a babbling Brook with table and benches, a very small but relaxing
Used to be a super place to bring kids but all the ‘giants’ stuff is completely destroyed by the weather and has never been restored. Such a shame.
Nice place for a walk, brought kids but not much there for them, I think alot of the wooden items have been removed due to age. This could be a really great amenity with a little more work.
Nice walk, the land of the giants is disappointing, you to do a really long walk to get there, when you get there kids have no interest as they are to tired
This is a lovely area to take a walk with kids. I really liked the walk but some of the attractions are vandalised or unmaintained. The grounds themselves are a credit to the caretakers.
Its a path around a lake with ducks n swans its really nice, but the land of the giants parts is in bits everything is broken looks like a bad park in a bad part of dublin
A beautiful 5km trail around a gorgeous lake. Ducks, Swans and geese meet you on arrival. Lego features are pleasant diversion for young and old alike on the walk around. Local Fisherman are still able to find quiet spots to fish on summers evenings. The pathways are well maintained and heavily forested areas offer little surprised on the form of " fairy hotels". Local groups help maintain and steward the unique community resource. Sill a hidden gem.
Good 5km walk, but park needs to be maintained and up dated. Disapointing, most things broke like this Lego Ninjago figure.🤨
Great for the kids, good trail, infrastructure, trees and biodiversity. Helpful information with good clean playground and ample parking. Well done
Nice park for family walk
Beautiful spot. Sad to see the train and other things gone with no signage saying so. Fairy doors/houses are a big hit with the kids and dummy tree is a great idea
Great park for a lovely walk in a well maintained pathway. In the center we can see a lake and they allows fishing for those who have permission. Ducks are the another attraction of this place. The park offers a good walking or running experience.
Excellent facility beautiful walks or run if you wish. So peaceful great getaway with children loads to see in this beautiful park. Playground next door and ample parking.
An amazing place to go for a walk nature trail break or to fish.suitable for buggies bikes wheelchairs and dogs on leads. Choose from a short walk and a longer walk . Lots of wildlife to see and the ducks and geese are almost tame.
Public park in Claremorris with a small lake and kids playground. Seems a popular place for walkers, with or without dogs on the made up tracks around the lake.Further back is giants land with oversized objects for children to have fun with.A clean, pleasant place for a stroll
There is not one bin in the park on the long walk, 5km, not even right beside the entrance. The only one i found was inside the playground... DisgraceThe walk itself is ok, nothing special, the lake is nice and we even saw a couple of ducklings
A lot of walking.. just bare in mind if going with children.. the walkway around is gravel so prams and bikes would be difficult
Lovely walking trail, definitely needs a refresh, but considering its not a public amenity, its great. Lovely fairy village too!
Very clean park, nice a walk with kids. Highly recommend
My favourite place in Claremorris. Lake side walk, fairy trail, fresh air, ducks, geese, picnic tables ❤❤❤
It was beautiful didnt get time to walk the whole park just got to the yellow door and followed round the lake back to the gate as gate was to close at six but will go back with kids again
A great place for all ages with three loops to walk or cycle depending on how energetic youre feeling! Bring some bread for the ducks and geese and bring a picnic for yourself. Children will enjoy looking for Clare and Morriss giant toys and they wont notice how far theyve walked. Afterwards there is a playground for the kids and parents can grab a coffee from the Centra across the road! We have had some great afternoons, especially when the sun comes out and you can sit by the lake in the heat.
This is a great place for a walk. You have 3 different walks 1 round the lake and 2 through the giants door. Kids and adults look thus alike. You also have benches to have picnics or just to relax
Nice park to walk around. As well it is very entertaining for the children, as they will get to feed the ducks, and walk the giants path.
