Long-running, 18-acre patch of exotic & native plants & trees, with a library, cafe & gift shop.
Breath taking experience. Very informative about how this treasure was started. A must see! Area to purchase food & drinks then sit in the garden area. Just a beautiful location
Beautiful gardens and shady trails. There is a childrens area that we didnt explore. The ponds and water lilies were gorgeous. Lots of bromeliads and some orchids blooming.
Really beautiful place with lots of nice activities for young and old! Our 11-month-old really enjoyed the children‘s garden. You really feel like you‘re in a far away land.
This was a wonderful experience. Im very glad I went. Ive been coming to Vero Beach since 2006 to visit & this was my first time here. I really enjoyed it
18 acres of winding trails through dense tropical plants. Highly recommend for a walk through with family! Our two year old especially enjoyed the children’s area with splash pad and pirate ship.
Loved it! We drove 3 hours to check this place out, there is a lot of history behind this garden. Bring the family as there is plenty to see and they have a kids garden with a play area.
Very amazing we bought the memeber ship so we can go to all of them. Definitely an amazing experience, the only down fall was the outrageously priced gift shop with very very little to offer
Very nice garden with different trails to explore. Bunch of beautiful plants and flowers. Even I’m adult I was enjoying pirate corner and had really fun time with dinosaurs exhibition.Get tickets online if you want to escape line.
What a beautiful place! These gardens are so beautifully maintained. Each path leads you to a new surprise. Definitely worth the trip
Such scenic gardens and price for admission I felt was fair. Cute little gift shop too. A wonderful way to spend an afternoon. The giant 🍄 is cool.
This is a really nice place to go and visit with family and kids. They have restrooms in the entrance and kids area. They have bugs spray at the very front before you buy the tickets for everybody to use. It is a great place to go with no rush so you can enjoy the excellent view of all plants, trees, kids area and natural decorations. I went with my 5 yrs old and we spent a little bit more than 3 hours just walking, looking everything, and enjoying the kids area. There they have a big wooden ship were they can go on and explore, go up and down and have fun. They have also like a fairy garden and a water area with water fountains for kids to have fun and get wet. Also in this section you can find a box to leave books for other yo enjoy and take one for free. So if you have books at home your kids aren’t reading anymore, this is a great place to bring those. They give you a map at the entrance and one for the kids that has on the other side a scavenger hunt game and a tic-tac-mckee. There is plenty of benches to sit around, rest, have water and enjoy the view and fresh air. We loved it so much we joined the membership club to be able to go for free for a year, enjoy activities just for members and have discounts. They have there a gift shop, library and cafe.
Beautiful place to visit. The walk through the jungle felt like you were somewhere else and the colors were brilliant. Very serene.
This place is pretty great escape. My 16 year old daughter and I walked the paths today we’re glad we did. FYI - put on the bug spray they provide.
It was a nice activity to do. Cost $15/adult admission price. The paths are easy to walk on and theres a lot nice things to look at. There is a section for kids as well. Would be a great place to have professional photos taken.
Beautiful place and scenery! Well maintained also great place for the children to enjoy themselves in the childrens garden with the water fountains!
Wow wow wow! We absolutely enjoyed our time in the gardens. Peaceful well kept and great childrens area!
The kids enjoyed the dinosaur exhibition, and the pirate ship. Don’t forget to stop by the cafe and grab some popsicles. We ordered the mint chocolate chip, cookies and cream and coconut. We are members but I wished they had more variety of Flowers.
The dinosaurs were great fun! It rained a bit but always a great walk. The childrens garden is phenomenal!
Excellent adventure out for kids, beautiful gardens for any plant love. A truly incredible experience, I would highly recommend planning 3-4hrs for this as a family trip!
Went for the dinosaur exhibit they had, but will definitely be back! Lots of lovely paths to walk, with enough space to enjoy at your own pace and not be around so many other visitors. The play/splash area was a hit with my 5yr old as well.
We love this place! They have activities for the kids currently on Wednesday mornings. The trails and vegetation are pretty. And the little ones love the Dino exhibit, pirate ship and splash area.
We enjoyed this tropical paradise on a trip to Florida from Missouri. I told my friends it is like walking through the Climatron at the Missouri Botanical Garden, except that it is outdoors. We liked seeing a lot of plants that we cant grow in our area. We did not enjoy the dinosaur exhibit, with the statues blocking some of the pretty scenery, but at least those wont always be there.
Although I enjoyed visiting here in the afternoon about a year ago, I was really disappointed in the Christmas Light Event. We went through in less than 20 minutes and just left feeling like they could have done so much more.
Took about an hour to walk around these beautiful gardens with tons of ponds, bridges and lots for the little ones to do too! Cafe offered Sailfish beer and an amazing quiche! One of my fave places on vacation in the area thus far!
The McKee Botanical Gardens was beautiful! Lots of great photo opportunities. A lot of different orchids and fun dinosaurs across the area with a cute kids center if you bring your kids. There is a Cafe, though it was closed when we went. Hope there are more variations of plants for our next visit, but overall really loved it!
This place is fabulous. I just wish there were more signs. OK the dinosaur exhibit was great. Store was cute. Line was crazy. Thank goodness for two lines. Wish there were more flowers. The streams were amazing!
The volunteers are extremely nice and helpful so is the staff. Ice cream and popcorn cart on a bike rides around for fun snacks. The garden is absolutely beautiful and amazing. We spent more than 3 hours walking through the entire garden. The kids around was much bigger than expected. Cant wait to come back.
Absolutely amazing!! Everything was so beautiful!! Dinosaur exhibit was really cool. I would recommend getting tickets online before you go so you dont have to wait in line.
Was not what we expected. There was a long line at admissions and only one person working the window. It was scenic and something I think small children would enjoy due to the Dinosaur exhibits. To me it just wasnt worth the $15.00 admission fee for adults. It may be more appealing to people visiting from outside of Florida. I guess I have just lived here so long I am used to seeing the type of flowers and scenery at the gardens.
Really nice place. large and open and the kids area with pirate ship treehouse is great. I was also pleasantly surprised by the animatronic dinosaur exhibits. My two year old had a blast and I will for sure go again.
Loved it all. Wish it were bigger. The dinosaurs were an odd addition, although I understand bringing in attractions for the kids. Im from Canada so it was so thrilling to see what we know as houseplants thriving in their natural habitat
What an amazing peaceful place. The grounds are spectacular and clean. With all the different trails you are always finding something different. Got kids? There is an area just for them...and its awesome! FUN!
Gorgeous place, special place for me now.My Fiance proposed yesterday.I lost 50.00 out of my pocket so I hope someone that could use it found it.Ladies that let us in after 4:07 weThank You. Made his proposal PERFECT
A beautiful garden to explore. Lots of lovely plants and history. During the time I went, they had a dinosaur themed event going on with animatronic dinosaurs moving and roaring. They also have a really good cafe. I cant wait to bring friends here.
Delightful botanical garden. Dinosaurs are animated and fun. Whole place feels like a jungle and has many nice plant species.
Excellent for families. And if going solo, not a great value. Morikami museum is definitely much more worth the money. But I really enjoyed walking through here as you’ll see in the pictures. It was fun but I would’ve preferred going with someone for this type of venue.
Glorious time! Easy, quick parking - quick entrance. Perfectly maintained and easy to follow paths. Trails are easily followed. I will say start to finish it’s only about a mile loop so I recommend criss-crossing and hitting all of the paths. Perfect mix of water and jungle. Highly recommend.
A must! Such a fun and absolutely beautiful experience! My daughter is 4 and had a blast! Bathrooms in several areas, Cafe, gift shop, and splash pad for kids in childrens garden. So peaceful and family friendly!!
Gorgeous gardens to explore. Enough benches to relax and enjoy the scenery. Surprised at how reasonable some of the prices were in the gift shop. (Not everything 😉Take it slow and really make sure you see all the different areas.
We love the gardens and different exhibitions on display here. The kids love playing in the fountain and pirate ship
Wonderful park to explore with children. Lots of hidden surprises. Bring a change of clothes because the Kids area has a fun splash pad that is hard for the little ones to resist. Lots of restrooms and fountains to fill your water bottle with filtered water. Cafe offered yummy healthy options! If we lived here year round we would 💯become members
We had so much fun! Lunch was really good, lots of selections and friendly staff. The gardens were informative and beautifully decorated for the holidays. My grandson had a blast in the childrens area and the fairy garden was our favorite! OH and the dinosaurs 🦕 🥰
I suppose I shouldnt have come during the Xmas time. It was not a botanical garden, it was a Xmas garden. Literally, every few feet there was some plastic Xmas orament. I thought it was horrible. I went there to see a botanical garden. My fault, I should have read more about it. Ileft after abour 30min. I have no plans for returning. (Even so, I was able to take a few photos...eh...)
Lovely gardens, but I was really surprised to encounter so many animated dinosaurs when we went to the arboretum. I commend McKee for doing so, as I am sure it helps raises funds for the coming year. I expected a quieter experience, (with fewer kids, hahabut did enjoy the Christmas lighting. The glass like sculpture was captivating. This is a nice location to stretch your legs if you are travelling across the state.
This place is a hidden gem. Was do beautiful. The flowers ..the ponds ..the paths. Was so quiet and relaxing. The kids area had an event for toddlers. They were playing musical instruments and dancing. Kids area has a great pirate ship to explore and walk up in the trees. Great place .
This was a nice botanical gardens. It’s a bit bigger than I realized and it was a nice way to enjoy a sunny Wednesday morning. There was a lot to see and it was so calm and peaceful. Of course, my favorite was the giant mushroom because it’s so realistic and picturesque. It’s a nice spot if you’ve never been.
Great botanical garden experience. Generally opens at 10 am and is $15 per adult. Expect to spend about 2 hours here if you dont use the kids playground area. Expect to see giant water garden foliage and a mix of artistic sculpture and tropical plants.
Most incredible and magical place. Filled with lush landscaping that will take your breath away! Ideally, visit in the Fall or Winter to better enjoy it without the incredible heat. Volunteers are kind, informative and helpful in providing guidance of the garden. Definitely recommend!
We had a fantastic time here this morning! It was definitely pretty warm even though we got there right at opening, but its peak summer thats expected. Also recommend bug spray for the mosquitoes, they actually had some on hand which was great. Anyways, it was such a beautiful place that was well kept and very nicely mapped out. There was no confusion at all where we were at at any point. Although it was hot there is a splash pad that our daughter loved and was able to cool off in! There is also a fun pirate ship and rope bridges for climbing on, in and around. There are signs that recommend social distancing and masks in the indoor portions. We didnt experience the cafe so I cant speak on that. Overall, a great experience and I highly recommend checking it out!
Gorgeous! They have the most amazing water gardens Ive ever seen. The water lilies and the lily pods were so beautiful. Lots of trails to explore and theres a wonderful kid area with a cool down area. Make sure to bring bug spray or use the ones provided at the entrance Also look for the gathering hall... follow the bells. You do need comfortable shoes.
