McGettigan's Al Ain in Al `Ayn

The chicken wings is good and calamari was ok. The burger and ribeye was terrible.chefs doesnt know how to cook the meat.both are over cooked, i dnt think so they using Australian wagyu i feel like a cheaper brazalian meat

Honestly Dennis Mcgettigan should take away the Mcgettigans brand from this hotel. The food is expensive and the pork never tastes good. We have had disastrous breakfasts here and now a disastrous lunch. The pudding they serve is cheap and they try to pass it off as Irish and the pork belly was more fat then pork but the horrible greasy tasteless gravely was what topped it off....... Its OK for drinks.

Average quality of food, a little pricey for the city where it is.

Please update your website and table menus . Very misleading to show there is a happy hour when there is not . Staff very attentive and great deal on bucket of beer . Food generally good , just need to work on the Irish Stew , it shouldn’t be like soup .

Good location at Danat Resort Al Ain. Friday Asian Night buffet. 7pm - 11pm. 100 dirhams. Not bad at all.

Great setting with a nice balcony overlooking the swimming pools. Had the pork ribs. They were tender but mediocre flavour. Will try something else next time.

Sunday Roast , lunch at McGettigans , Danat Al Ain , was excellent, food was tasty and hot and service very good. Great value for money

A right atmosphere for chilling. Club has a terrace with view on swimming pool. The minus is only no bell at the tables, so you have to wait untill waitress will pass by

The burger in the burger and beer deal was excellent. Very tasty and needed no condiments. They do however need better vegetarian options. Who wants cold beer and green salad?

Superb place to spent time with ur friends and loved ones. Their buffet was delicious. Worth the price. Loved the fish and chips too. Good location too.. The service was also too good.

Please update the menu. The menu says happy hour from 5 - 8PM. Checked with the establishment and they confirmed there is no happy hour.

Excellent location and ambience marred by second grade service.

Its ok--just know that because business is so slow there are 3-4 regulars that run everything as if it was their living room; Especially during the week.

There is no car parking nearby to this place. Due to covid quarantine in the hotel, i parked my car backside of the hotel and had to walk 400 steps to enter into mcgettigan bar.

Lovely food and a great bar. Will definitely be returning and would recommend.

Good place, good service. Now only problem is we have to walk a little bit to enter into the pub.and nobody was there to show us how to reach the pub exactly since the main entrance is closed now. We ordered chicken wings and got it with more sauce which was very sour. Duck spring roll was okay. Drinks as usual good!

Firsr of all, I want to say that the service and management at Mcgettigans in Al Ain is lovely and constant. The atmosphere at this establishment is unmatched in the city and I always feel like a someone.With that being said, I have recently been super disappointed with the menu. For starters, the chefs selection is lacking variety and dietary selection. I used to drive across Al Ain for the pork belly popcorn and now I have a basic selection of foods that are not gluten friendly. A lot of the menu is fried and not a healthy option.I would love to see an improvement in the menu and inclusiveness of all dietary needs to leave an outstanding review.

McGettigans Alain.... My friends tried Heineken draft and complained thats its like water due to end of keg(informed), food and service was fine

Excellent as usual. This place makes you feel like home, everyone is so friendly, their food is great too.

Mcgettigans is temporary shifted to Danat Resort Chalet pool side due to Covid-19

They never ever answered their phone to check capacity before coming to the outlet. Other than that service is not improving at all. So coming to McGettigans during Covid is like gambling it could be full and theyll ask you to leave!

My food was cooked to perfection! I ordered the oven baked salmon and it was delicious. Thank you to Chef Christopher, you did a great job. The waitress and bar staff had excellent customer service and I always have a great time when I visit McGettigans.

Decent enough pub for Al Ain. Discount booze for teachers, lovely staff and a dart board. What more do you want!

The service is too good, the waitress INEM was good very curtious and service oriented.Chef needs to choose his meat right the Ethiopian or the Sudany Lamb used for the Irish stew that was served to me was yuck.

Amazing place to catch a beer with friends...

Needs more staff. Sat on the terrace and waited 40 mins. Had to order at the bar. Then food came an hour later, mine first, then my sons after 15mins. Table was only cleaned when the food came. Just needs more staff and they need to know where to check and whos come in and waiting.Resolved well however as they discounted the bill, as my sons pretty much fell asleep and left the food as it took so long.

Nice upgrade to the old Horse and Jockey to a McGettigans. Its a copy and paste job of the standard McGettigans layout, which is a positive or a negative depending on your perspective. Decent brunch, with an extension option, really good menu for food, and some good happy hour options.Nice friendly staff who work hard, all guided by the ever present and friendly Stacy. Youll find what you want there. Music, a friendly crowd, good food and drink.
