McDonald's Quay Street in Auckland

Great location, nice space, was fast and we loved that our fries were nice and hot fresh and just rightly salted.

Slow slow slow. Dirty. Got my order wrong.

Poor customer service. Order coffee. After 10 mins n still no served till I can’t wait any longer so ask at counter, they just realized that they forgot the order while there are 10 staff n zero customer but me just ordered the coffee. What the heck. Staff all busy gossip n talking n no service. Seriously? What the heck? So rude n no apologies n also don’t understand how to read the order. As keep giving us wrong coffee n qty. omg.

Busy McDonalds located at the fridge of CBD, mostly drive through customer, lots if UberEats pick up orders, serving at a normal speed which is good.Regular McDonalds food so nothing over exciting.

Lobby was closed well before midnight,so could only go through drive thru which is great if you have a car but not great if you dont poor service and wont be back.

Dine in Restaurant seems to be neglected if the drive through is busy so piles of mounted up bins and messy tables

Paid for a double qtr pounder, only to receive a std qtr pounder, even though its in a double qtr pounder package. Seems like there to cheap or lazy to worry about getting it right.

Great staff and the food was tasty. I like this McDonalds as it has upstairs and downstairs for seating good view. Would recommend

2 days ago got my order wrong after waiting for ages, waited tonight for almost 25 mins and to find a hair in my burger is disgusting, honestly tired of the service here. Gross

They are in fact not open till 12am, signs al say it but they close at 10 won’t even let you use toilets.

Very disappointing waited in line behind an uber eats driver for over 25mins. Hence my meal was cold, and missing my chicken nuggets. Very disappointed daughter. Obviously reading your lack of response to the other reviews you dont check these but in future get the uber eats driver to wait out of the queue like every other drive through does

Worst customer service I’ve received at a McDonald’s. The crew member who served me was inpatient and did not help out when the kiosk could not proceed my order. Really disappointed, seems like the staff need more technical training…

Went to this McDonalds to take my work break at 8 20 PM and need to use the restroom and to also get food, the doors were looked but customers in the store, one guy and myself were waiting at the door and the stuff member putting at my mask to put it on and I put on my mask, the stuff member then came to the door telling me and the other guy that the store lobby is close, we asked him why are customers in the lobby and he cant give us a answer, unbelievable its only 8 PM and you had customers in the lobby but cant let us in, they need to rethink their strategy

Restaurant was not open as according to their posted business ours and shop attendant would not come to the door to offer an explanation.

On the 27/08/2022 we ordered 20 pieces of chicken McNuggets and they gave us only 16. Didn’t realize until we got home.

Totally disgusted! The worst hash brown ever. Falling to pieces and stuck to the wrapping. No QA.

Worst service I’ve received from any McDonald’s in NZ. Drive through speaker was rude and the manager had no idea what he was doing. Don’t recommend.

Staff are poorly trained to handle simple tasks. Drive thru we were asked to wait. We waited sometimes you need to wait. After approx 4mins we then hear "you there?", I responded with "yup, we had been waiting order" we heard back, "huh well order then" then he had a small chuckle at the end of what he had said. I addressed this with the Manager but the Manager was trying to stick up for staff. We just wanted to order food, we didnt come to order BAD ATTITUDE and then being antognised by the management.

Some of the best maccas I’ve had in years!! Fries cooked to perfection and my quarter pounder was exquisite. Will 100% be back

Good service but honestly dont have a sign saying 24/7 and then you arent even open at 6:40 in the morning?

Wrong order but when you end up down the road and cant be bothered to go back and the order you have is a lot better than your own order is priceless

We had a great experience here 10/10. Amazing staff who go above and beyond to make your experience great and the food was so good.

Still a handy option when either heading onto the city or leaving the city. Drive through makes this a quick and easy food order and pick up option.

The young lady at the counter helped me with the drinks and got them out to my car. I really appreciate you.

20 minutes to get our meal. Its not a record but its up there. Staff stayed calm and friendly though - nice. And, of course, the thick shake machine was out.... Lol. This is what happens when you let the kids decide where to eat lunch. Sure its better when not overrun. But the food was cold, so that was just not nice not acceptable. Grrr.

They make frequent service mistakes. Last time, they said that I had not paid and asked me to pay a second time, ended up paying double the price. This time, I ordered a two pad burgers, but there was only one.

I ordered UBER eats for my daughter and her friend and the meal was missing 2 Mcflurries when it arrived. The rest of the food was poorly put together - clearly no care involved - almost inedible. My daughter called the store and the manager was rude and effectively hung up on them. I then called the manager who was rude, referred to me as Dude in a dismissive way and effectively also hung up on me. I wrote in and made a complaint to McDonalds on their website and was ignored. I then called and spoke to them and was advised I would hear back in two days and again I was ignored. I have never complained or had a problem with McDonald in the past but this was soooo bad I took the effort to do so. Clearly McDonalds dont care based on their lack of response on tow occasions. I wont be going back to Quay Street and would advise others to avoid it and most likely I will avoid McDonalds in total, given their overall woeful customer care and service - very poor!

Bought Big Mac hunger buster.. Coke no sugar or ice.a sundae a caramel one. Also, a side of 6pack chicken nuggets on its own last night.the munch was ok just the Zero coke had some green slimey like a runny nose ..spewing I left it where we was.. dang nasty..clean yo pipes eow

Wanted some flap jacks but unfortunately they do not serve these for dessert? So had an Tim Tam mc flurry instead 🙂

Long 40min wait through drive thru. Milkshake machine not working. No coffees as they decided to clean the machine at theur busiest time. Burgers good. Dusappointing.

When you really need 11 cheeseburgers, this is the place to go.Drive thru staff were amazing!

My partner & I usually treat ourselves to maccas once a week. We use to use uber eats to order food from Quay street, but have now stopped because every single time we order on the app it’s either missing items or it’s not done properly. I won’t lie, I’ve encountered some pretty awesome people that work there but the food is just shocking at this point. And what’s with it being closed all the time? It was even closed at 7pm at one point leaving me with no choice but to order from Queen street (that place is gross do not recommend unless you’re out clubbing or something lolAll in all it’s an annoying experience with them especially because the place use to be top tier🤷🏻‍♀️

As much as I love ice cream and cookies, the new NZ version of a Tim Tam McFlurry is a shame - it should be called cookies, cream and syrup because that is what it is. They do not even use original tim tams to top the ice cream with.

Came with my kids for dinner and to use the playground area. Unfortunately we were not able to stay for playing as the air conditioner was on, in a very “cool” mode 🥶 it was freezing. Auckland temperature was 15 degrees that night and the room was probably below that. I asked the manager on site at that time to please turn it off, but unfortunately she said that they were not allowed to touch it and we had to leave (we were not wearing snow clothing ⛄️).

We arrived at Macdonald 1 oclock on the 8/05/2022 we were coming up to the drive thru and there were two stuff coming outside they said there closed. I just wondering if this Macdonald closed every Saturday at 12??

Not overly impressed. Came for lunch after chemo at Auckland Hospital, queue of cars in drive through so parked and went in. Long wait for order and my burger ended up with something spicy in it. I could only tolerate 1 bite so took it back. Stood at counter so long my husband came looking for me after I had just been yelled at by some big guy halfway down the kitchen saying, "oi, thats not a mcspicy burger". Suffice to say in my condition that I did not put up with being yelled at so raised my voice back. Did feel sorry for the new person serving as it was definitely none of her fault. As we were leaving we couldnt exit as the restaurant had been locked. Wont be going back there.

This is a good McDonalds to go to when all the others are busy. Though I think this is still one of the only ones with a playground

I believe that this McDonald’s is the worst one all over the world.Seriously’ the food production heathy and safety issues. Working process… not just the worst of NZ but the world.

Paid for 6 combos and didnt get our chips through drive thru. Customer service staff claim we all got our orders but no fries. Paid full price for our combos to only get burgers and drinks and no fries.

Went late at night so was awesome they were open. Queue was a bit long but when we got to get get our food (at drive thru window), it was disappointing. We got 2 mcflurries and they werent even half full, especially the oreo one... the m&m one filled up a bit more as it melted so fast. Very disappointing...

Quay Street Maccas like most of the other stores and because of the pandemic is pretty much just using the drive thru. We were here because rather than drive around looking for a place that was still open the store hours are 24/7. We were actually doing a hospital run and the food was as tasty and fresh as always... I still am not use to the drinks going flat and syrupy so fast but the kids like it. So who am I to whine. Staff as always were polite and quick and overall did a good job. Some bad experiences lately with these guys. Last one was that we were there waiting to be served for a good 20mins to be told we have to wait as theyre really busy with a birthday party. Ok, fair enough but the managers face was so freaking rude and sort of brassed off telling the other worker to dont worry about us. Surely hes in the wrong industry. Another incident while ordering we asked to wait so we can get everyones order and the worker on the intercom was so rude and said - what you want? In an angry voice. The management of this store really need to invest in putting their employees in a good manners course or just the basics customer services course!

Usually the service at this store is terrible after dark, but after an atrocious experience I felt like I had to share. Drove a couple of my friends who had been drinking through the drive through, so naturally they wanted to add stuff at the pay window. Whilst I understand this can be frustrating with the pressure around drive through times, this is no excuse for an employee to use sarcasm and shut the window on them, and definitely no excuse to mess up half of our order. I went through the drive through between 12:30 & 1:30 on Saturday 05/12. Definitely worth driving the extra distance to Greenlane.

Driving Through at 1am in the morning after work. Use a coupon double stack but no fries was given. So damn disappointed! I am sorry, this is just not the first time things are missing from the bag given. It’s just disappointing.

Nothing special just another McDonalds. Make sure to check your order when using drive thru. They consider serviettes a luxury item at this McDonalds.

1st time in my life have I ever tried a kiwiburger & thank god I did. It was tasty & my type of backyard burger. I give that a 10 out of 10. So 5 stars for QUAY st maccas for the awesome experience

The food is okay but the toilets are not clean and they are stinky. The drive through is open 24/7.

This place is very cozy. Not alot of ppl here so is quiet. The fries here is nice too. Love it. Usually MacDonald has public toilets. Toilet here is clean too.
