The nastiest filthiest most disgusting establishment Ive visited in a long time. Food all over tables and the floor, what appears to be someones snot smeared across the self serve screens (which doesnt have paper in it, so no receipt which also means no way to claim major prizes in competitions...)0/10 no recommendation from me here

We received our burgers with no meat patties went back took a while to receive our burgers but they were busy with lunch time

Closing time is 11pm as advertised on the website, got to the speaker box in the drive through at 1035pm tonight and apparently they are closed and not taking orders, when I asked why they were closing early the guy on the speaker stated that because it was a public holiday tomorrow that they were closing early, doesnt make sense and not good enough. Next time put something up on your website or social media pages to let the locals know beforehand.

This McDonalds really needs to greatly improve on putting every item of the order into the bags and then double checking the order before giving the food to the customer. My parents went thru the drive thru one night and ordered happy meals for their grandchildren with drops to 3 different houses. They ended up returning to McDonalds to get the order they asked for because items were missing... Twice! Visits here with my kids weekly in different parts of the day (meaning theres different staff from the last visitalmost at every 2nd visit our order was missing burgers (Drive thru and ordering inside). I dont understand how its possible for orders to be missing items when its different staff each time we visit. I could understand if it was happening when a certain staff member is always on but its always different staff. Its confusing. I should probably stop going there but its in a convenient place. I always check my orders before leaving the store or driving off from drive thru. Its terrible. I think theres too many people bagging the same order. One time they called one of my order numbers so I went to the counter to collect it. A few minutes later, a different staff member called out the same number. I thought no they said the wrong number. They called it again. I looked around at the other customers and noticed that no one was going to collect it so I went upto the counter, showed her my ticket number and she handed me the order so I received it and waited for my other orders before leaving. Two different people bagged the same order. (This was a plus for mebut just goes to show how they stuff up orders. They should let the counter person bag the orders they take or allocate one runner for front counter and one or two for drive thru. Too many people out the front who lack communication.3 stars for now. Im willing to upgrade to 5 stars when I receive full complete orders. Its just a bummer when Im handing the kids their combos and one of them doesnt get a burger at the same time as the other kids and they feel sad. Not to mention that is a hoha going back for burgers that should already be in the bag.

Great service and grandkids love the childrens play area. Especially the helicopter.

Constantly disappointed by this store... I come here atleast once a week and my order is never right theres always something missing.... The manager just fobs you off and ignores you like youre nothing.. probably wont be wasting my money here anymore.

for not the first time, went through the drive in and didnt get what I ordered. Find out when I get home, so eat it, but decided to complain - no way on their website, and no one answered the phone. So I drove back. Was offered a new meal, like i needed that, and eventually given a code to get my correct meal next time I go, Do I really want to go back?Thought a credit on my card would have been a better result.So sorry McDonalds, I have never posted a complaint ever, tried to be discrete, but you give no option. You need to have a serious look at your drive through

Staff are always really busy but still very friendly fast and efficient papamoa plaza

Ordered one of those mates sharing meals, whatever theyre called. 2 Big Macs and sides. We got home and a whole Big Mac was missing. Not a sauce, not a side, an entire burger. How does that happen? Theyre not exactly cheap these days. Just made angrier by the fact that no one responded to our complaint. Sucks when a business actually causes you so much grief when the main reason youre going is that youve been driving for hours and youre tired and dont want to cook. Save the trouble and absolutely never go here.

It was late so not sure if the restaurant was closed or not but the main doors locked and had to run around looking for an entrance because the drive through line was long.

I was about to rag on them for being the worst McCafe in the Bay due to their horrid & inconsistent coffee I was getting from them since they changed hands earlier in the year...but then I get the one person that seems to love dirty chai as much as I! They made me the golden standard of coffee/chai blend for me! I expect it will be a hit or miss when wanting a coffee from here but today was an absolute hit! Update, had normal chai & barista managed to make the perfect blend of spice & sweet last night

Fabulous service. Way way better than KFC.Will be coming back in the future when I need a treat.Thankyou sooo much for the beautiful McCafe hot chocolate.

Well done NZ you have once again exceeded the rest of the world for rubbish customer services skills. I ordered 2 chocolate sundaes by self service in store at 8. 15 tonight. I wasnt acknowledged, although standing at the counter, by staff even once. The blonde female manager (yep, check your roster and re-train!caught my eye a couple of times as I gestured for her attention, and ignored me, turning her back toward me. 15 minutes later finally a young man greeted me with me "are you 124?" I answered "yes" he dumped 2 chocolate sundaes and 2 spoons onto the filthy counter and said "here". No ones lovin that. Appalling service and so embarassing for me to be working in an industry that sells NZ to the rest of the world and they cant even look at their customer much less acknowledge their presence. I know where I WONT be recommending my customers to dine for fast food.

Im not loving it! I dont know what has happened to your standards but it has dropped significantly. Burgers look and taste like a 3yr olds made them.

Just got a hotcakes combo from their absolutely cold to the touch and hash brown was cold as well only thing that was hot was my hot chocolate, definitely gonna check my hotcakes before I drive away in the drive thru they are called hotcakes for a reason absolutely shocking

Some cool younger workers, often mess up my order and give underwhelming portions. All the best for you young uns

I was turned away at 06:29 with "were not open quite yet". Not "please wait 1 minute were not open until 06:30...". So I went to another store that actually has good staff.4 years later I just tried again. The Google listing says open 24hours. Their website says open 24hours. THE SIGN OUT THE FRONT SAYS OPEN 24HOURS. The automated message at drive through said come back during opening hours… good work team

Had the bacon and egg muffin deal (with a hash brown and coffee - moccachino). The bacon and egg muffin was freshly made. The hash brown was crispy. The moccachino hot and sweet. Highly recommend this deal on the app. Only $9.00!!!

Went to Papamoa MacDonalds this evening via drive thru. Ordered a number of items one being a cheese burger! What a disappointment my grandchild had as she ordered a cheese burger. When we opened the burger all that was in there was a bun with a bit of sauce and a piece of cheese! What happened to the meat? Tried calling them up but no one answered the phone! Typical these days ......no one answers their phones .....!

Staff are a bit of a pain as they keep asking you "is that it?" while you are still ordering. The lines are always long and the food is not always the best.

I ordered a large coffee served warm because I cannot handle the heat of a normal coffee on my tongue. When I got my coffee it felt like the right temperature on the outside, so I took a sip only to absolutely burn and scold my tongue and throat. I instantly had blisters come up and I had to go to the doctor. After taking a closer look I realised my coffee was double cupped which is why it felt alright on the outside, so I really should not have trusted the temperature from the outside. Service was tragic and three people were standing by the window talking and completely ignoring us. Terrible - will not go back.

If you fed their food to Pigs the SPCA would prosecute for cruelty to animals. To hysterical about covid and too busy serving up third rate expensive food. Mc Failure.

Check your order! They always forget sauces and chips are cold and half full. I know the staff work really hard and my first job was working at maccas so I know the deal. However, check your orders too many times its been below average food that looks nothing like the photo is cold or smaller portions and they always have issues with the shake machine?

I usually dont post this type of review, but the manager Stephani or Stephanie was so rude to me and the staff on shift. absolutely horrible manager! will not be coming back.The food and other staff were good , the manager has just completely put me off!

Have asked for steamed multiple times from this McDonald’s but whoever is making the burgers seems too lazy to do it. Won’t be buying food from here again

Always close faster than its closing time. Dont go here if it past 10 pm, waste of time.

Hands down worst burgers in town .Buns a soft / soggy mess . Meat patty thin dry unpalatable / salad not crispy …. Service …. Mediocre at best …. Shouldn’t complain though as I guess you get what you pay for …..

Been here twice and they got it wrong 2/2 times. Large fries delivers medium fries in a large box. Double Quarter Pounders turn into Big Macs when they go into the bag. No reason come back here.

Went to McDonalds Papamoa just after 10pm and no one was there. Being late I thought it was best to go through the drive thru but the speaker box had an automated message saying they are closed. It says on Google details they are meant to be opened until 11pm but they also have great big signs lit up saying they are 24 hours. Very bad for business.

Food is good as usual but the dining hall had 2 signs of open and close at the same time. Please dont waste peoples time guys.

Drive through issues. Ive dude moved and the other didnt. Staff didnt seem interested in serving. Waited nearly 10 minutes for them to take my order and the person on the other end of the speaker kept saying please wait.. All the while the other drive through line kept serving.. and moving. No hurry to go back here again

Why why why? Why do my orders ALWAYS come wrong Uber eats, Drive through... always wrong... communication is not working, sick and tied of having not my correct order someone has to miss out every time and its me because they always forget one of my childrens meals FFS sort it out PAP maccas...

A please or thank you goes a long way. Understand the team are busy, but surely more than the bare minimum of communication is possible?Also quite surprised that none of my family nor anyone else we saw dining in had to show proof of vaccination.

Went to get Maccas at midnight last night and the dude serving me through drive through barely filled up my McFlurry cup - the icecream inside was half full and not touching the sides (like half a soft serve cone worth inside the McFlurry cup). I understand the worker couldnt take the McFlurry from the outside counter top inside and top it up (he explained it was due to COVID restrictionsbut when I asked him to replace the unworthy $5.70 McFlurry he refused to. He explained he had already put in the required 4 swirls but he really hadnt. It was 2 swirls and 2 mini bumps. He then continued saying hes not going to take it back because he thought he had done his job. I only saw him and one other worker in the kitchen. So unprofessional to rely on a couple of people to look after a McDonalds restaurant especially when people are so hungry at midnight.

Ordered a meal and 2 hot chocolates. Got told to park up and waited 10 minutes with another car pulling up behind us. 6 cars went past us along with the car behind us. I walked in only to stand at the counter for another 5 minutes with every employee avoiding eye contact with me. Finally someone turned around and served me, excuse was there was a miscommunication. This aint the first time yous have done this to me. There was over 12 staff there, half of them were just walking around, they were very inefficient and it wouldnt hurt to smile, if not, get out so others have an opportunity to make a living they may enjoy doing. Ive lived in Papamoa my whole life and from they day you guys have opened those doors, Ive either had terrible service, missing food, horrible food, wrong orders or long waiting times. I try every few months and nope...

Very slow service today, some staff seemed distracted and unorganized in the position they were ment to be doing letting the team down. And as an onlooker several staff also had bad attitudes and very rude to customers. Waiting 15min plus for Fast food when you are only one of two customers is very disappointing, so is seeing my food sitting for 10min waiting to be packed while staff are distractedWill go back in the hope service is better next time

Ive got to say that make the burgers great and when the happy as guy with glasses is on stuff gets done. But we have ordered many close to 5 times and gone in a few and there has only been one time they have had all.our food there. We usually find out when where home but now we check everytime. But yes delicious just never a full order

Drive through boy was awesome super polite and could have a conversation with the rest of the staff look like they hate there job and put in minimal effort.... hence the photo.... I order large and this is how much they fill it...

You can get an actual bucket of hot chocolate here for just $4! Even with Almond milk (no extra costand 2 Jaffa’s! There is a really good English guy that works here, I think he may be the manager.

Ate here both nights of our stay due everything being closed after speedway, friendly staff and honestly the best mcds food I have had. Fresh warm and actually fast. Thanks team.
