36 Shop St, Galway, H91 K4A9, Ireland, Galway
Classic, long-running fast-food chain known for its burgers, fries & shakes.
Its always good to miss a McDonalds
Fast food for sure. Faster to order with cash directly at the counter rather than the self service machine
The staff are lovely but the food is awful and awkward to get around in a mobility scooter
I only dropped in to grab a coffee and kill some time before heading off on my next stop. I had no issues with either the ordering (I chose to go straight to the counter instead of waiting for a free machine), the time it took to get my coffee or the taste. I was pleasantly impressed by how clean the restaurant was being kept during my time sitting there.
Good food at a reasonable price
This was a beautiful place to stay. Our room was very modern and nice. The hotel is exquisite. The staff are wonderful and very friendly. The food was excellent. I would love to come and visit again.
M always visiting McDonalds for student meals.....5 euros and u get burger chips and a drink....
Refused to give me my wrap which I had paid for as I forgot to take a receipt. Despite the fact I could prove I had paid for the wrap.
Should have proper downstairs toilet
Go here If you fancy getting your order wrong! Every time !
It is a joke how slow they can be. Fast food or slow food? Where are you guys learning? At the unlearning school? If goes a bit slower a snail goes faster ...
Nice place, central location, clean and comfortable beds, the room cold be a bit bigger
Made an underage young girl stand outside while cousin ordered food as she had food from another takeaway in her hand, as she is allergic to mcdonald’s we were ordering takeout and she wanted to wait inside with her cousin as she’s underage 13 and a child, but was not allowed security didn’t wait with her either security are for safety and they didn’t ensure hers absolutely disgraceful it was 11 o clock at night
Quick service.Bad potato fries, not dry, too oily.
First and last time I will be eating at this McDonalds, ended up having to eat a meal I didnt order.
Gave me the wrong happy meal toy and the food was stale
Nice place with lots of veg choices
Great place to holiday from home. I had the Italian Stack and imagined I was in Italy. A truly memorable experience.
Unfortunately, not the quality standard I was expecting from McD.Uncooked fries can be acceptable, but hairs in burgers, not really. If you would like to let them know about "extras" in your food, use their website but then answer in Outlook, they need answers on top of the email, I was using Gmail, and they dont see my email, ridiculous.
The kids love it but the menu is not versatile at all .no halal options also. Irelands mcdonalds needs to be updated
Jack was really helpful, very good Service and really tasty food
A busy but well run McDonalds. Helpful staff. The toilets are upstairs and have to be accessed from a separate stairs on the ground floor. So if you are eating upstairs you have to go down stairs and back up another flight of stairs
Very helpful security, friendly and understanding staff, fast service, value for money and a pleasant atmosphere with good staff and service
It was so good to have a McDonalds meal and moreover to enjoy it. Try it for yourself and hope you enjoy it as I did.
I am appalled. The food is disgusting and the customer service is very poor. When I received my food it was cold. I got food poising after eating chicken nuggets. Would not recommend.
I ordered a chicken nuggets meal and they did not give me any of the dips included in the meal neither they give any ketchup and the whole food was cold. Pathetic service
Good
Bit of quiet place amidst a very busy street, can enjoy a nice coffee while enjoying the street. Has a very quick service.
It was busy the day I was there just felt dated it was clean and staff were helpful and friendly one thing I noticed was very hard to place order from the screens due to how busy it was so I had to order from the counter if by choice I would have gone to another McDonalds but when you have a child that wants to eat you are there not by choice but by necessity
Order was very fast, food was good. I can recomeend it.👌
Didnt like their salad- thats only the name-some lettuce 3 pieces of cucumber and ONE PIECE of tomato. What a shame for this money.
It was good as per sitting arrangements and like normal McDonalds.
Would be a great place, but more often then not. When ordering fries you are presented a soggy sad version of them. And the food seems to be slightly lower quality then the other McDonalds in Galway. So if you have a choice I would go to the one on headford road.
I’m absolutely apauled!! Where to start, I ordered the big nasty burger, Shameful is the only word I can think of to describe my experience, The restaurant was full So I was forced to sit beside a guy with a foul odour, The cheese was moist and damp and wasn’t melted, The sauce was attrotious and the lettuce was soggy and bacon looked almost raw . Only thing that saved the meal was the chips and the speed of service but however this does not compensate for the lack of quality. Safe to say Ill never be Ordering a big nasty again or even stepping foot in a Mcdonalds!!
Check receipts before leaving!!!!! Missing 2 chips. Friend was very close to missing food too. Very quick but always missing food!
I enjoyed a very fresh and tasty meal here yesterday. Though the place was buzzing I was well served and my order delivered promptly by a very focused caring and kind young lady. Much appreciated 👍
Just popped in for a quick burger. My order was sent too the wrong person they unwrapped it and brought it back to the counter. The duty manager Evan rewrapped it in front of me. Check your cctv McDonalds. Covid safe I dont think so, dangerous food hygiene practices definitely. Unterrley disgusted will never visit again. Sorry could not give zero stars. Definitely avoid.
Good place to grab something quick but can get a bit busy compared to other McDonalds around the city.
I asked for 6 McNuggets and a bag of chips with no ketchup and got 6 fully frozen nuggets and 7 packets of ketchup hauled on it. Service was quite bad .they took ages to let me order 🤦♂️ Just go to your local bin and get better food and hygiene 🤦♂️
Really unprofessional experience from the store manager on duty tonight.I witnessed her roaring at 2 customers for no apparent reason.I will never set foot in such a unprofessional environment again!
Extremely Nice staff. The food would be much better if the following would be met:Toast the bunsHalal certificate for chicken and meatMake the HashBrown and the chicken crisper.
Rude staff, considering I have worked in food industry service is extremely sup par. Nice furniture maybe spend less time cleaning it and more time on customers as we do pay staff wages at the end of the day.
I cannot thank the staff enough at McDonalds Shop Street. Last week my mother & father brought my son Noah to Galway for the day on the train. Noah is 9yrs old with non verbal autism and doesnt like crowds too much. When they arrived in Galway they brought him to McDonalds in Shop Street as Noah loves McDonalds and its a real treat for him. On arriving there they were greated by one of the staff who saw that Noah was on the spectrum and showed them to a quiet area of the restaurant where they were seated. She took their order and brought the meals directly to the table. This just meant my parents didnt have to queue with Noah who hates being in queues and isnt good at waiting at all. He can really get distressed by it. I cannot tell you how much that meant to them and to me as they could have quality time with their grandson who wasnt distressed and enjoy their day together with a lovely treat for him in McDonalds. Thank you, thank you, thank you to the staff who made this day that little bit more special. Its the little things that mean the most. Keep up the good work guys!!!!
I have previously given this establishment one star, however on a wet and wintry July afternoon I needed sustenance and shelter and being the closest door I stepped away from the thunder into what i must say was a changed safe space the touch screen order was hassle free( and i could tell the staff cleaned it at least once so i wasnt worried about catching covid off of the maskless antivaxer in the Celtic jersey just ahead of me the hot sauce was amazing the best hot sauce I had ever ordered it complimented the cooked to perfection chicken or whatever is in them wings.I caught a glimpse of the under paid head chef in the back an electric copper wonder man and Im im afraid I heard the manager say thats not the correct recipe but the chef stood his ground the manager screamed but the electric copper dream kept his cool and kept serving up his hot sauce. Do yourself favour and drop in ask for the hot sauce it is not to missed. The toilets were kinda clean
Great service, very well organised re Covid guidance, I was met inside the front door by staff who politely asked for my contact name/number and to see my Covid cert, it was good to see McDonalds doing it by the book, that keeps us all safe.I was shown to my table, there was a number assigned to same, I ordered my meal and it was delivered promptly to the table, it was hot, fresh and delicious. The 3 staff I had dealings with were a credit to their manager.
Friendly staffs, reasonably priced and speedy food.
Honestly, the worst staff I have ever seen. The staff billed the wrong order. I ordered Cajun chicken wrap but they billed it for Veg because my friend took this right before me. I complied with it because even I saw this while waiting for the order and billing had been done by then. Add to it, my order took ages to arrive - I waited for a 009 order with 023 order. More than 10 orders went past me. Moreover, I sensed the person being rude while giving in my order. She handed over the order as if she just wanted to throw it off at me. I had to request for ketchup sachets twice. When I opened the brown bag, the fries were all over. I dont know if it was because I was yet another brown girl unaware of their means but I sensed the discrimination and thats kinda putting me off as the Irish hospitality for this Indian woman has been great in the past week since I landed here in Ireland. But McDonalds just left me with a bitter mood tonight. It isnt difficult to sense the discrimination frankly. Not done, McD. Not done!
Great for students cause its fast and cheap and even has veggie options. Also theres WiFi in case you have no friends and feel too awkward to eat alone. Toilets too for all your bowel needs 👌
I was quite impressed with their recent upgrade! You can now order your meal from any of the 3 panels( back and frontor order from the 3 tills. It did remind me a little of Argos, as once you order your meal, you wait in line to pick up your meal. All went very fast and smooth, so definately worth a try if you havent experienced it yet.
Always crowded. Friendly staff. Perfect location.
