McDonald's in Queenstown

Very poor service it was the longest wait i have ever had in my life at a maccs drive thru.. speed up the service..The people serving were in no hurry .. no energy

Just visiting Queenstown from Australia & WOW hands down just had the best maccas burger at this place ‘The Boss Burger’ - without onion.!The staff were super attentive and friendly and the food was just on a whole other level. Kinda a good thing this isn’t my local cause I’d be eating here all the time! Haha, Thank you x

Literally the dirtiest & most disgusting mcDonalds I have EVER been to!! 🤮Had to do take away because the restaurant was so disgusting! I asked someone to wipe a table down for me & to sweep all the food up from under the table & all I got was a massive complaint from the staff member about how she had to clean the rest of the restaurant.

I waited over 25 minutes for my fast food order. Given there were minimal people in the place at the time, i dont understand why it took so long. (Im talking maybe a dozen customers). No explanation offered or simple apology provided.The facility itself was dirty and not particularly well kept or clean. Dirty floors and uncleared tables. Unemptied bins that were full to overflowing.The whole place looks like it could do with a bit of an overhaul really. The picture walls have rips and tears in them, which just looks unappealing. Toilets were less than appealing.No table service available which i thought was odd for a Macdonalds. So i ended up waiting at the counter for my order to come through.Place looked understaffed, and what staff were there looked overworked and tired. There certainly was no urgency in the delivery of orders, not just mine.Given how much money goes through a macdonalds, i would have expected a higher standard of facility.Come on Maccas, you are better than this.

Went through drive thru food was good but there was a hair in my burger come on maccas sort it out

i had to wait 1 hour for 2 hash browns which were heavily available. it was torture seeing how many were there and I could just go behind the counter and be on my way. there were seemingly 2 micromanagers at the front and unmotivated minimum wage workers, which is fair enough. but the managers really needed to step up instead of trying to do everything themselves.Their philosophy is do the orders in order despite how small the others might be. i had many many huge orders in front of me but I really could have gotten mine in 5 minutes. I eventually had to leave along with many other customers because I needed to catch my flight. you could tell because whole orders were not claimed. id like to know how much food they wasted because of this i suspect it would be tons.i dont mean to be a karen but jesus christ this was the most dysfunctional mcdonalds i have ever seen in my life

Popped through the drive through as we didnt feel like cooking. They were absolutely packed on a bank holiday but still managed to get us fed in a timely manor. Well done them!

The place was a bomb site at 10.30am. Staff were rude and the food was average…. Place needs a good clean. I’ve seen restaurants in 3 world country in better condition

Place was a bit dirty, short-staffed. Tables were messy. Food was good but it took a while.

Very underwhelmed with the food, by choice would not go back. The place needed a dam good clean, rubbish bins full, tables dirty and the floor just need a blimmen good mop.

Worst and slowest drive thru on earrh. Get a waiting bay like every other maccas

We should have 3 big fries but only gave us 1, when we noticed this we are over 10km away, not good experience and longest waiting time in all Ms I have been.

Just landed in q town and needed food 7pm. Line was not too long but took over half an hour to get thru and the person taking my order was terrible at getting anything right and took forever so explained why line moved so slow. Food was ok/average

Drive through wait of 20minutes to order and another 10 waiting to move up to the collection window.We understand that there are staff shortages. But some kind of sign before you drive through and get trapped would be nice.2 stars because not the staffs fault. Manager needs to step up and act like it.

Trying to get a quick breakfast before going to jet boat. Waited in the drive through for almost 45 mins. Ive never had to wait so long for McDonalds. I wish I read the reviews first.... Do not go here unless you want to waste time.Also found a hair on my bacon and egg mcmuffin.

So Im here for Holidays and decided to grab some food at the drive thru. HUGE MISTAKE. Beforehand I had grabbed some caterpillars to feed my brothers pet lizard. After waiting an eternity I got to the speakerbox only to find out that they did not have what I wanted.Service was so insanely slow that by the time Ive gotten out of the drive thru, the caterpillars had already gone through a metamorphosis, turned into butterflies and had flown away. 1/5 stars would never come back. Staff was friendly though.

Its like the McDonalds you know but its on the Moon. Everything is in slo-mo. Watching the barista work is almost mesmerizing.

Store was dirty, no mcafe menu items available, some food not available, staff not wearing mcdonalds outfits, get your act together..

"Mackers" is becoming a part of the Kiwi culture. My daughter (going to Uni in the UStells me the menu is so much tastier than the poor American original. But marked down in rating & Kiwiness because there is no Kiwi Burger on the menu. Outrage!

Place was filthy. Food took over 30 minutes to come. Had to remind the staff 3 times of items missed off our order.

Someone I know went yesterday at 6.42 pm and ended up with severe food poisoning at around 2-3 the following morning. He is still very unwell and will have to be off work for a few days as he works with food - his employer would seem to have higher food safety standards than this particular McDonalds franchise: a very expensive meal and was not worth it as the quality of service (as well as foodwas below acceptable (fiddling with face masks and managed to stuff up the groups chicken McNuggets when it wasnt chock-full of customers). This food poisoning has now been reported to the appropriate local authorities. I have scrolled through the reviews and it would seem management does not care to improve their standards. People might be best seriously considering going elsewhere if on holiday and need to travel back: your body will need to expel the food - try doing that on a plane or in a vehicle! Good food and service is definitely achievable in Queenstown as the group went to Devil Burger and no one had any issues there. I do wonder though if the small group of people mentioned had introduced themselves as "local guides," whether better quality service and food might have been offered them - just a thought as the local guides seem to be "loving it" at this Maccas.

Horrible, we’ve been waiting over 30min at the drive through. Its called a drive through not a flipn restaurant

Good service but restaurant was not clean with mess everywhere

The better macccas in Queenstown, they dont get so badly overcrowded and there is much more care given into the preparation of the burgers. They did mess up a few of my orders in the past, just an honest mistake.

Was incredibly busy when we went in, staff were all working incredibly hard to get through the backlog and dealt with all the customers incredibly well. It was quite dirty inside and the food was pretty standard for McDonalds

Extremely slow service. After more than half an hour in the drive thru- had to wait on the yellow lines for our food because they hadnt made our order.

I had been waiting in line at the drive through for a 1hr and as soon as we got to the payment they say they had canceled our order and same with many other peoples orders as well so then we also had to wait another 20mins to get out as we where watching people in front of us getting there food .

Criminal to call them selves fast food. Average drive through wait is easily 25-35 mins but you can get stuck in que for upto an hour.

Its McDonalds so it great food for value, but every time this particular location managed to screw up one small part of my order. Delivery Easy orders are usually the worst ones for mistakes. Make sure you check your order before you drive off.

Staff looked like they didint want to be there. Meat Pattys so thin now. Big Mac didint live up to my memory of what one was like last time I had one.

The absolute opposite of fast food - took close to an hour in the drive thru and there were only 4 cars in front.I could have driven into Queenstown city centre McDonalds and back again by the time my food arrived - which is what I recommend you do.The Coke Zero is watered down - definitely operating below the expected service/ products of McDonalds. Drive past, don’t drive thru

Really bad service waited over 20mins for a meal. No communication from staff about why there was a long wait not very busy in store. Untidy. Checkout girl kept touching her face and playing with her mask

After sitting in the drive thru for 40 mins i had to wait a further 20 in the waiting spot until i finally went and asked where my food was. I was told there was a mistake and the order was being re made. when i finally got home after getting my food i have been given the wrong order. What a waste of time. no point calling the store, they didnt pick up.

It is famous junk food giant McDonalds. Saw lot of young lads working there. Drive through service operating, so does in store and dining in. On the day of my visit (21/Apr/2022), one out of two ordering stations was out of order. There is onsite parking and a separate allocated parking behind it. Mobile fuel station is close by.

We had the breakfast menu, ordered at 10.57am. Never informed us it would take half an hour! Should have advised us, & we wouldve chosen from the lunch menu! Asked for some complimentary fries, which we didnt receive. Oh well, the burgers were hot, if a little messily put together.Fair play to McDonalds, its school holidays & they seemed very short staffed.Plight of our Covid Nation.

Cant complain about good ord maccas .Quick easy tasty fix.Wouldnt recommend as a everyday meal but as a quick fix on the go as part of a balanced diet

Went through drive through at 8pm. No other traffic. Was asked to pull over and wait for order. When I got home with food it was literally cold, chips soggy. As though it had been sitting on bench for an hour!!!. Why did I have to wait?? Worst experience of McDonalds I’ve experienced. Will not be going back there in a hurry. Disgusting!!

The cleanest McDonalds Ive been to in all of Aotearoa. It wasnt busy at the time so the wait was OK considering 9 of us were ordering. A good example for other McDs around the country.

Food and coffee was good. The lady who brought our food just put the food table and walked away, didn’t say anything, didn’t acknowledge our thank yous, didn’t even look at us. Not sure if she had a problem with us or wasn’t in the mood to be at work that day. Anyway, the barista who brought our coffee, he was lovely, greeted us, asked how our morning was, said enjoy and wished a good day.

The best Macdonalds view around the worldI sugest go to the car Park on the lake side and take amazing photos during the winter and summer.Great costumer service ever !

Slow service and the Indian manager was cold not friendly. Dined in on 15/03/2019. The most interesting thing is my beagle had 2 crowns with no heels!!! First time Ive seen. Will not come back again!
