Good mood, cozy, awesome beer and nice people. Thats a good combination. The owner said his bar serves the best Guinness in town and yes, it was poured real good. It was just a pity they hadnt some draft beers.

Very nice. Eileen (sorry if Ive misspelled your nameis very kind and attentive. The only things missing were some single Irish guys, though thats not the fault of the bar. Overall very clean and a relaxed atmosphere. Drinks are pretty good, and not overpriced.

A real Irish Bar. If you are looking for a good pint and a shot of Irish Whiskey this is the place. The vibe was relaxed. It was the 23rd of December so I didnt expect to much. Only downside is hard liquor variety is limited. I will go back however

Seems pretty lively. I was at a nearby restaurant, dining outdoors, and enjoyed the music emanating from here. Must check it out sometime soon.

McCarthys is a classic neighborhood pub with really great energy. Friendly bartenders, owner who treats her customers really well, puts out free food during 49er games. Great place to watch football games with friends while having some cold beers, I highly recommend this business

No dart board, no pool table, lots of smoke in the room. $6 beers. Small typical dive bar. Tjs was better. Could have been years since it was open down the block.. Not too many places like it in the west portal hood... Except for philosophers club and its better too. Up by the muni station in uloa. Last thought. Beer was cold and fresh.
