Mbotyi Mountain Bush Camp - Camping farm in Port Saint John's, South Africa
The positive reviews seen elsewhere say it all. Our hosts, Manie, Patricia and JT, are true treasures. They showed us fantastic sights and led an awesome 4x4 drive that we would probably have missed without their genuine caring and passion for the area, for its people, and for hosting. Mboyti mountain bush camp is an absolute must for those who appreciate the simple joys, including rustic/quirky accommodation, great sight-seeing and communing with the most caring and attentive hosts one could find.Thank you, Manie, Patricia and JT!! You will have a place in our hearts forever!
What an amazing place with awesome owners, Johan and Chantel, Jan as the all rounder and JT as the barman! 5 star treatment for 1 star price. Delicious three course dinner - including oysters and mussels, scrumptious breakfast and most entertaining conversations. The rooms are immaculate as well. Get yourselves there!
Come and enjoy good service and excellent food
Rustic wild coast accommodation with most amazing Owner and Manager hospitality and superb home cooked food. Best fish cakes I have had. Wild coast experience not to be missed.
Mbotyi Mountain Bush Camp is an incredible one-of-a-kind place . We arrived late in the evening and the first thing our host, Jan, did, was dishing up was a plate full of oysters, picked just hours prior on the beach below the camp. Then came the main course, prepared entirely by Jan himself. Even though we booked late, he managed to perfectly cater to my vegetarianism. Afterwards we went to our room, which was very comfortable and provided a good nights rest. The following day we got to see the place in pristine daylight and could conclude, even more so than the night before, how beautiful the surroundings are and how nice the Bush Camp itself is. It is like sitting in your own living room, except with a few more pigs running around. He then took us to the beach, where not a soul was to be seen other than some cows and a few shepherds. In the afternoon he took us to all the incredibly magnificent waterfalls in the area.Jan has been an absolutely incredible host, cooking and seeing to your every need. A more genuinely nice person is difficult to find.
Jan, our host was awesome company , guide and cook . The room is a little gem and cosy.Awesome little place where you only need to bring yourself and relax.
A very amazing place to spend days while exploring the coastal areas. The host was so knowledgeable and took us out on day tours to some of the most amazing places we have been to date. The road up to the bush camp is a little rough and rutted, but when dry, 4x4s and motorcycles should have no problem.
Words does not describe what youll find there. Probably the best kept secret on the Transkei Wild Coast.
This is a place you can relax in a very rustic, peaceful and quiet place, safe and away from the rush of normal life
Food excellent.hosts like old friends making you feel very welcome and special
