Mazaar Restaurant - Afghani restaurant in Delhi, India
Its famous Afgan resturant where the surve Afgani dishes, and Roti is free. Try Tandoori (Roasted)
Food is good but staff mannerless. As table was not clean and small we asked the staff could we get another one this- he rudely replied problem he toh parcel leke ghar jao and the restaurant was full and noisy while ordering the food he was not able to hear what i was saying so he replied bolne nahi ata kya thik se kyu order kar rahe ho. Never seen such mannerless and rude staff anywhere i dont know why people promote such restaurants and give them 5 stars. They should learn first how to treat their customer.
A very nice place and the food is very delicious not something you get everywhere authentic afghani food the staff of the restaurant is very friendly and hospitable and very nice place with great variety must try are there Mutton Chops and Tandoori Seekh Kebab
U will simply love the atmosphere and food here and both compliment each other, a must visit specially for for non vegetarians
Very pathetic experience with this restaurant. We have ordered a full grilled chicken and the chicken was not fully cooked. The blood stains remains in the chicken and we felt really bad. Soon after having the meals me and my family suffered from diarrhea, vomiting, fever and headache and is currently under medication and we are not having good opinions regarding staffs also. Me and my entire family will never suggest this hotel to anyone else
A great place to enjoy afghan food. Rajma and Palak are must try. The Naan is quite good. Non veg review (from friendsare quite good. The gravy dishes could have been better though. No parking options available.
The most authentic Afghani cuisine i have eaten here. Mutton chopan kebab and kabuli uzbeki is a must try with their namkeen lassi. And the ambience they have created will just bliss to your dining. Staffs are also very polite.
Enjoy the Afghani Delicacies here. This place offers an amazing menu of Afghani Foods and the Tastes are out of this world.Quality of Food is absolutely amazing. I would recommend this place any time anywhere and would always visit again.I would recommend to Try Kabuli Uzbeki Pulao and Chopan Kebab and then try Sheer Yakh in dessert. Absolutely stunning combination
Love the vibe, especially the dastarkhwaan area. Very well cooked meat with pretty good veg options as well. Qabuli uzbekhi is a must try. pair it will savoury lassi.
Awesome experience....Food is very delicious and affordable and good atmosphere too....Best grilled chicken and chicken shawarma I ever eat in my life...Best in Delhi...I recommend every non veg lover to visit this restaurant atleast once In their life time....I will be visiting this place again...
An authentic Afghan restaurant. The ambience takes you straight into the region. Seating is both chair n table and the more luxurious, cordoned seating on floor with carpet and dastarkhan. Each dish is delicious.
No concept of customer service and care.We ordered Mutton tikka and they served the most hard and over cooked smelly and rubberish dish. Despite telling them twice they charged us for the same with tough looks at the cash counter.Try telling their waiters to bring soft roti they will keep over hearting the same roti. Will never recommend this restaurant.
The food is good no second thought but there are other factors that contribute towards rating the place. First of all you wont find a place to sit there, management is least concerned whether you get it or not. Second order your food and wait for around 40 mins to get it served on your table.
They serve authentic Afghani cuisine at a really decent and affordable prices. The crew is really polite too.Ambience is comfy and gives a homely feeling.
kebabs were juicy and soft. chicken korma was tomato based gravy that I found to be low on spices although it might be their way of preparing. pulao was very tasty.
A lovely arabic afghani style meal which was perfectly balanced in flavour and cooked perfectly at a super reasonable rate. The experience was delighted by the multilingual and soft spoken staff.
Excellent Food Quality and Super awesome Ambience ❤️👌🌟😋🤤 Must Visit, if you are in Lajpat Nagar ❤️👍🎉🥳🎊
Delicious Food.. Tikka and Seekh kabab were amazing..
Mazaar restaurant is located at lajpat nager Market in New Delhi. The sitting arrangement is so fantastic. Its a place of peace and hormony. Afghan recipes are available there, which is full of love 😍. Must go there at least once in life. Ten stars ✨.
A veryyy good place to have afghaan foods ,, the staffs are quite good just not too quiet as people keep talking all the time (i was the exception 😛😛🤓)
Food is tastyVarietySpacious and cleanAfghani naan is so hard
It is nice and warm restaurant with the delicious non vegetarian dishes. Mostly the dishes are having Afghani influence in its Indian version. You can check out if you are a non vegetarian food lover.
If youre looking for authentic Afghan culinary delights...Look no further!Great food, great taste! You will not be disappointed! At the end of your gastronomic journey there, try their ice cream... You will NOT regret it!!!
Mutton Chopan meat was not cooked properly, it was very chewy. Also ordered mutton kadhai, it taste like tomato chutney.
Yesterday I visited there everything was Good, polite staff, good sitting space, I gave 4 star Just because food was not spicy otherwise all good but we Ill think about for visit again 😊
Tried Afghani cuisine for the first. They have a bland taste but not bad. Sheer Yakh is their must try desert. They offer a complementary Afghani Roti with each items you order 😇, which is a very new thing to me. So order accordingly. Otherwise it will be too much food (we ended up with 3 items and 3 rotis between two 🙄)Good food, good environment and very good staff.Food rating: 4.5/5
This place is only for foodeis. Foodies with big appetite. Very authentic afgani eating spot. Their Menu is short but what so ever they enlisted init , that all are afgani delicacy along with choice in pizza aswell. Be patient after ordering your meal as they will take around 10-20 minutes to serve and that they will inform you as well. And in the end order their herbal tea. And they welcomes only cash transactions.Must to visit if you in delhi.
Officialy the best restaurant in Delhi for afgan food lovers. Less spicy too delicious. The Quabli pulavo kadayi gosh and chowpan kabab are the best combination.
Authentic afghani food.. this place is heaven for Afghani cuisine.. the taste is good.. the food is cooked in mild spices as is the afghani taste.. they alwas serve baigan and rajma as complimentary.. and that is tasty too.. if you are looking for spicy one then please dont visit this place.. the staff is good and pleasant.. only drawback is their service is a bit slow and totally justified due to tandoori dishes.. this is a pocket friendly place..Do carry cash, they dont accept cards..
One of the best places in India to try afghan food. The beauty of this place is that they not only serve authentic afghan food but also some central Asian dishes which are very rare in India. The taste of the food is awesome its the beauty of the central Asian dishes that they cook with minimum spices and this place has done this flawlessly. Hope to visit again.
This is the best place to have a decent Uzbeki Pulao and Chopan Kebabs. In fact the best place to dine. I wish I could eat food from this place every week. Never had so good food ever in my life.
To experience authentic Arabian food do visit. I tried kabab, rice and chicken soup. Kabab was delicious. Chicken corn soup a different taste but I like. Those who prefer spicy monchow soup dont try you will not like. Lastly I tried one rice item. Taste not that par still different. One Important thing Mazaar not accept any Card only Cash. I wish they accept card.
Food- 10/10Ambiance- 6/10 (you need to squeeze to get in, but who cares so long as the food is excellent)Price- 8/10 (really reasonable)Service- 5/10I haven’t really explored Afghan Cuisine that much but when it’s a good food you know it and you can definitely tell from the no. Of walk-ins. The lamb kebab, uzbeki pulao etc is just one of the best I’ve tried.
Many good things about the place. First thing when you enter is you notice well dressed smart attendants . Neat and clean and well presented smiling faces. Then the setting of the room is very pleasing , on one side there is floor sitting arrangement and on the other table chairs . The menu card is well designed and the attendants are very friendly and helpful. The best thing I liked is about their tradition of serving bread, rajmah and subzi free along with their Biryani.. which in self is very very tasty . And is for 230 rs !
Food is very dilicious in very reasonable price and its a pure Afghani cuisine and taste, lots of variety is available, staff is very friendly and experienced. I suggest to must visit Mazaar restaurant in Lajpat Nagar if you love Afghani cuisine or wants to try best non veg quality and taste, you will get both veg and non veg here. Special dish is Usbeki and chopaan.
The food is amazing, ambience is very good, food is not spicy if you are looking for spicy food than its not for you. But my experience was amazing with lesser spices you get real flavour of food and to top it all the price is extremely affordable. They also serve complimentary rotis and rajma and also mashed brinjal with every order.
I had the best Afghani food of my life here❤I can never forget the taste of rice with perfectly cooked meat. I just loved it! They provide you with their special baigan bharta and rajma for free and also the butter milk. I still have the taste of butter milk. It was chilled and just amazing that too a bottle full😍. They provide super amazing food with a super amazing Afghani 🇦🇫 seating. Their setup is just like Ertugrul. It was all just beyond amazing🔥 I had a wonderful experience, thanks to my husband who brought me here❤I would definitely recommend it 💕
Wow it was a great experience we had here , we were roaming in Lajpat Nagar and suddenly we c this restaurant and we came here , as this restaurant is Afghani so u will get less oily n less spices foods here , we got same amazing taste and really superb service
The ambience is pretty good, has good music and interiors reflecting afghani elements. The food is also good but as the Afghani food tastes goes, its quite bland. They prefer less spicy taste this is what I could figure. Ideal for family and friends type place.
Wonderful restaurant to spend time with family and friends. Very beautifully designed space. Specially the seatings. Just loved it. The food is as pwr Afghani taste. If you are an Indian, then you should order only those items which you are aware of, Otherwise the food may not be of your taste. Taste the ice cream at last.
They serves an amazing Afgani Food with light music. Only drawback is they dont accept digital payment ONLY CASH. Other than that good is amazing try anything but must try their authentic icecream.
Lip smacking food. Heaven for non vegetarians. Must try: Chopan Kebabs, Qabuli Uzbeki, Kadhai Gosht and Sheer Yakh for dessert.
Its a warm restaurant serving authentic Afghan cuisine. We were surprised to see a huge crowd thronging the place which made the service a bit slow, however, it was worth the wait as the food was delivered in one go.Mutton Chopan is a must try with grilled mutton robust flavour. Also, try their biryani which resembles the parsi berry pulao.Great meal.
Great food and a unique experience. Super opportunity to savour the Afghani flavour in delhi right in the middle of a large Afghan settlement in lajpat nagar. Try the famous hospitality and their large hearts with generous portion sizes. Do order the famous kababs and chaach (buttermilkavailable in 1 litre pack. Breads and small portions are accompanied complimentary...just amazing
Amazing food and amazing ambience. If you want to enjoys the Afghani cuisine then dont think a bit, Go and enjoy. Every dish is superb. The uzbeki, chopan kabab and mutton qorma are top notch dishes of mazaar.
Its an awesome restaurant to visit with friends and families! The ambience is very soothing and gives you a Afgani feel. The staff is very cordial and extends awesome service. Weekends between 1:30 pm to 3:00 pm is usually very busy and you might have to wait for your table.I would recommend the below items as a must try!Chicken Tikka Kabab, Mutton Tikka Kabab, Fish Tikka, Tandoori Chicken Pizza, and Quabuli Uzbeki ( pulav with Afgani raisins and two chunks of ultra soft mutton pieces). The best part is you get complimentary Afgani Roti, Rajma and Afgani Baigan ka Bharta. The Roties are a bit hard to have bt it tastes good with Kabab and other items.Only minus point I felt is that this restaurant doesnt except card/online payments. Only cash mode might put you in trouble if you arent aware. So please carry sufficient cash to enjoy the delicious Afgani dishes.Cost for 2 ranges between Rs 450-600.I hope it helps!
Liked The food.. but kadahi chicken is not that great neither have afghani essences... we can made it in our home with lots of tomatoes in it.. Sheer Yakh is the best... also mutton kebab.. we are total 5 and can able to eat just 3 super thick naans 😬🥵 kebab quantity is wayyyyy less.. for rs 450 🤢 but taste was good..!
Excellent Afghani cuisine restaurant in Delhi. Enjoyed Afghani food a lot. Their Tandoori Chicken kabab was the best. We also tried mutton Tikka kabab, Qabuli Uzbeki rice, and Kadai Gosht were also good. I must say their prices were also very competitive. Overall an excellent place to try.
The BEST Afghan dinner I’ve ever had! This little place is amazing. We ordered their Mutton Choppan Kababs and a Quabuli Uzbeki rice plate. The food was lip smacking delicious. The Choppan kabab came in skewers and it was tender and cooked to perfection 👌. Quabuli Uzbeki surprise element was the mutton hidden inside the rice and it was really soft and steamed cooked. The brown basmati rice was flavourful with aromatic Afghan spices and slightly buttery. The food came with free Naan and Afghan tea. The only drawback to this place was the waiting period. It took us almost 40 mins to get a table. I will not reduce the rating for that since it’s not their fault and it only talks about how good their restaurant is. So, if you’re planning to visit them for lunch or dinner give yourself some buffer time to get a table. Once your order they bring the food very fast. Definitely a must visit place in Delhi and waiting to go back there again someday!!!!
This is one of those places which makes you feel like you arent in Delhi at all. It feels like you are in some middle eastern city and enjoying an Afghan style meal. Situated in an area with a lot of Afghanese population around, this place offers proper Afghanese cuisine served by some very polite waiters. The service is quick as well.Ambience - 4.5/5Food - 3.5/5Service - 4.5/5Dessert - 4.5/5
