Maza Middle Eastern Cuisine - Middle Eastern restaurant in Allentown, United States
The waiter, Anthony Dayoub was an excellent young man and very handsome. Very professional and very good food. I will be coming back here because of this waiter. 10/10 experience.
Delicious food and great service! Probably the best veggie sandwich I’ve had.
The food is tasty, and the service is great.
It was my first time to this restaurant. I ordered Makanek and my friend ordered Tawouk. We both were satisfied. We really enjoy the meal and the view outside. The service was so friendly. The guy spoke fluent English and Arabic. I will certainly go back there.Highly recommended.
Food is delicious especially the sojuk and the shawarma. Also the outside seating is very nice
I would give 10 stars to this placeBest food you could eat so yummy and cooked very well , amazing salads , very good customer service , highly recommended and for sure will come back , Thank you so much.
The shawarma is very good, but the falafel is so bad,it is old fried, and reheated taste nothing and wrapped in a bad way.
Good place if you wanna sit and smoke, but food is horrible I ate there two times, and both times I get sick 🤕
Place is always amazing when I come. Food is always delicious. It’s been my introduction to Syrian/Lebanese cuisine.
Wonderful food and staff. The atmosphere is very relaxed and laid back. The hookah is on point 😆
The fattoush salad with grilled chicken was plentiful for my family and myself. The interior was spacious and not condensed which was perfect. The waiter was respectful and kind to us and checked on us multiple times along with his coworker. Outside was great as they have outdoor seating and was a better day for all of us. I will definitely come back again when I stop by this location.
Wonderful food and friendly service, all at a great price. We loved it.
I love it at Maza! For starters, the owners and employees are super accommodating and friendly! They make me feel like family. Maza’s hummus is by far the best I’ve ever had ( and I’ve had it at dozens of places)! The chicken and beef kabobs are so juicy and flavorful. I love their Toska as well ( I think I spelled it right). Honestly everything there is delicious. It’s byob with a liquor store across the street and on the same block as a beer distributor so it’s perfect. Lastly if you smoke hookah, the Maza mix is the best combination of flavors and it lasts hours ( with the grapefruit head)! Tonight I had a beef shawarma. The pickled onions and parsley mixed in with juicy and flavor beef is phenomenal. I always get a side of labneh with it because having a dipping agent is clutch.
Everybody was smoking inside and outside. Inside was filled with smoke. Waiter/server even smoked. The food tasted bad. They didn’t even have Zaatar. Worst East Med spot I have been in the world.
The shawarma wraps are so good. The menu is so diverse and my favorites are arnabit, kibbeh, arugula salad, full Maza and baklava. If you love Middle Eastern cuisine this is heaven. Yalla
Great food good prices and great service. Loved it
Great environment. Service was on point and the food was tasty. Also the price was good as well.
My favorite middle eastern restaurant. The food is great, the staff is nice. The only reason I didn’t give it a 5 star is because they aren’t consistent. One day you order you might get rice the next day you might not, they always accommodate if you speak up about it but I find that weird the dishes arent consistent.. other than that, no complaints.
Very yummy falafel! The server was great too! Waiter was alone but still managed to have a nice conversation with us.
Food ok, service terrible, place is comically dirty.Service sucks, place is grungey, wait til you read about the bathroom, there’s the summary. But again, the food tasted alright. Not the best, nor the worst for Middle Eastern cuisine. The dirt- walked in, no idea what to do. People seated at tables, no employee in sight. Finally someone greeted us and said it’s a seat yourself. We waited about 10 min just for menus. Another 10 or so for someone to ask us if anyone took our drink orders yet. In hindsight, this is probably when we should have left. We said no, and we’re ready to order food. I ordered and asked if my appetizer could come out with the rest of the food as my meal. He said no. I’ve never once had a restaurant say they couldn’t do that. But here, it couldn’t be done. A first, but ok, whatever. Then, when my order is done, he walks away. Um. Didn’t take my boyfriend’s order who was sitting right across from me. Comes back with my drink and my bf asks to place his order now. The waiter’s response is “Yeah. If you’re ready now”. What?? Dude, he was ready when I was ready, hence the sentence “We’re ready to order”. He orders a soda and food. Soda comes back as a can with a straw and sticky black dirt around the lip of the can. Bf asks for a new can. Yes, we should have walked out by now. We didn’t. New can is fine. Food comes out, not as ordered. I have to return something because it wasn’t what I asked for. New food comes out. All tastes decent. We use the restrooms. Ladies bathroom- floor COVERED in piss, dirt, and hair. Like alllll over the floor. Trash overflowing. I wish I saw this first- I definitely would have left immediately. If you’re sensitive- the place smells like smoke too. Behind us on a random table were hookahs and a used ashtray. If you enjoy dining experiences you can complain over, and gross out your friends with later- highly recommend. I waited at least 24 hrs to post this to make sure we didn’t get sick either. We didn’t. That’s the highest compliment I can make about this place- despite its best attacks on our immune systems, we didn’t need penicillin.
Maza is one of the best Middle Eastern restaurants in the Lehigh Valley. Good service and their Cocktails are delicious especially the Maza Cocktail Special. The desserts are very good. If it is a nice day or evening, outside dining is a must! Thankfully, Maza is off the highway but you are have a relaxing dining experience outside.
I had the maza vegetarian sandwich with fries and pickles. Amazing food and good prices. Didn’t like the unexpected water fee but it is what it is. I’ll be coming back :)
This place served up one of the best meals I have ever had! Got the Maza sampler, Fattoush Salad, Shawarma Combo and Baklava. The garlic yogurt sauce that comes with the Shawarma is to die for. If you are in the Lehigh Valley looking for a good meal, you gotta check this place out. Service was great as well!
Amazing and friendly staff. Food was below average. Take out and I was very disappointed on quality. If I was in store I would have discussed with them.Bread seems to be close to expiration on all 6 sandwiches we got. Grape leaves were thrown from a can into a box. Fries was okay.
Honestly this was some of the most authentic and delicious food I’ve had in a while. Our server was incredibly enthusiastic and gracious while serving us. I would definitely recommend this to others who are around shopping in the area. Make sure to leave room for desert and maybe open your mind to trying things on the menu.
- They will charge you for bottled water without mentioning it anywhere- The service is horribly horribly slow.- There is no non-hookah zone, including the indoor spaces; and no where is it mentioned on their website that they serve hookah clearly.+ Their food is actually good! Especially their desserts.* We had other friends who visited on our recommendation; they were charged a service fee (for a party of 3for which they were taxed, and also forced to tip on top of that. Apparently the staff/owner was belligerent about it, saying things like its the law and its a family owned business they can do as they like.
We went with a group of 10 friends and had a very bad experience in many ways.1. We had asked for a smoke free room as we had two kids with us, they said indoor is a smoke free but later on we saw people smoking very next to our table.2. Our order took almost 45 to come to our table and so many things were missing from the order. No proper service ar all.3. They charged us $30 just for water and gave us Kirkland type water bottles( they would have bought it for $3 from some wholesale vendor). Worst part is they did not even mention water is extra.4. They just added 21% gratuity on their own and on that they charged us local service tax. PLEASE CHECK BILL BEFORE PAYING.Service was not worth even a single penny. Very very bad experience!!!
Ended up at this place somewhat randomly. Possibly the best Shawarma Ive had in the US. Their Shawarma wrap is unlike other wraps you get. The baklava was amazing too
OMG🙏🏽😋 is all I have to say!!! I got off work after Helping our local customers with their credit and real estate needs and had a hard week. I told my wife (and partnerHey hun let’s go out to eat! We wanted something open late and WOW 😯 I’m so glad we found this place. A true Hidden Gem 💎 in the Lehigh Valley!! The Food 🍱, the people and the atmosphere makes you feel as if you are in the Middle East enjoying some great 👍🏼 company 🇸🇾 with our middle eastern family. We are Hooked for life!!!
Food was great.. great environment. I just wish the server/waiter was a little more attending. Otherwise, great place to eat and hang out a while with your loved ones.
Love the food here! Sometimes service is a bit slow but i like to think of it as a laid back type of place were you can sit back and stay for a while and relax. Today I got the Fatoush salad to go from doordash. Be careful taking home because a lot of the dressing leaked in bag but it is soooo declicious and FRESH!
Its not what I expected! The dining area its a hookah!! And they didnt mention a hookah at all in their website!! They dont have a separate dining for non smokers or if u bring kids! The food was a very small portions and verrrrrrryy expensive and not even tasty 🤮.* The reason why I stayed and didnt leave cause I went there with my wife and kids and I was very tired and too late to go somewhere else!!So.. for me its a big 0! And never come back..
Great experience, clean friendly restaurant, food is spot on the shawarma was fantastic. True to the middle eastern vibe, even serves hookah!
Nice and quite restaurant. Hookah. Food was great. Overall great experience.
Havent been back in years. Ok.. I used to come in all the time, bring some beer, get food, and some hookah. Every single time i was never charged a BYOB fee. I brought a 32oz growler which is like 2 pints of beer the last time i came in. Which was the only time i didnt get food because i ate dinner at home. No one mentioned any byob fee when i sat down, when i got my bill there was an exorbitant byob charge on there. When we confronted the owner he would not budge and made me pay it. My buddy left a review about it and the owner gave him free stuff to take it down. But the funny thing is I was the one who paid the fee not him. Thats terrible business.
Nice place, good food and music. My only improvements would be a little faster service, serve the food at the same time, Chicken Shawerma dish came out 10-15 min before the Lamb Kabob dish and do a little more cleaning, floors and bathrooms a bit messy, but none of these would keep us from coming back.
Food was on point. The Greek salad was huge and plenty for two. The Philo with mozzarella and feta fried was really good. Zak was fun to interact with and knew the menu well.
Ive not had this type of cuisine until just recently and I was really happy with picking Maza for the first time. The shawarma was absolutely fantastic (I tried both the beef and chicken), and their yogurt sauce was just the right kind of zing to add on top! Price for the amount of food you get is really great too! Cant wait to come back again.
I always have gotten take out, however it seems like a great place to eat. They have a hookah night which is tasteful and the staff has always been super friendly! The food is absolutely amazing!;-)
Love this place! Been coming here for 2 years on a regular basis... at least once a month. The food is high quality and very tasty. Sometimes we do take out and other times we go there with friends who enjoy hookah! Thanks!!
Amazing experience! Came here to celebrate a special occasion and everything was perfect! Eli, the manager, took excellent care of us. The food was hot, fresh, and delicious. Best of all was the hookah! Very fresh, flavorful, and constantly refreshed with hot coals. Beautiful outdoor patio. Highly recommend!
I tried chicken shawarma. The taste is moderate, have a strong chicken smell. The hummus had good taste.Moderate Resturant ambience.
It was the first time that we ate at a middle eastern restaurant. They were having a private party but it wasnt to hot out so we ate on the patio. I believe that it was the owner who waited on us and he was very hospitable. We had the appetizer sampler and the Maza grill. Everything was delicious. Make sure that you leave room for dessert. The baklava was excellent. The table next to us was smoking hookah, but at least we were outside.
Its my second visit to Maza. I love this restaurant. First, service is spectacular. They want you try theirs flavors and they recommend their preparations according with your taste. We ordered Chanklish... oh my god.. delicious cheese salad with pita bread. Of course, we ate falafel too and a big chicken fatoush... hmm...Prices are excellent too. We will come back... for sure!
Loved the ambience for the fact it has a great outside view with good food to set the mood. The hookah is amazing with very rich flavor and texture. Lot of Salads and food options to choose in authentic Mediterranean food variety. With lot of veg options too. Not to forget that the portions are huge for sharing or even to gos.Loved the interior as well to make it an experience worthwhile. Food is amazing and is freshly served.
Fantastic food at great prices. Excellent atmosphere. Great hookah! Youll love it.
We were celebrating my husbands birthday. The appetizers were so deliciuos and entrees were awesome👍😋 we had shankleesh, fried kebbeh, beef shawerma and falafel sandwiches😊
Disappointed. I went in on a whim and really wanted to like this place (and the food). Since I am unfamiliar with Middle Eastern fare, I asked the server a handful of questions before ordering.Apparently that distracted him because when I placed my order and asked for the "Greek Salad but with no olives," he didnt hear me 100%. When the salad came, it had olives (lots!on it. I told him I had ordered it w/o olives. He said, "No, you didnt, but Ill go back and take care of it." What nerve! I absolutely did request he hold the olives...but guess he just had to be right. Also, on the menu the Greek Salad does not list that it comes with green pepper or I would have requested they hold that too. But I didnt want to further irritate the server so I just ate around the peppers. The entree (chicken kabobswas tasty, if somewhat plain. I was left alone for pretty long stretches between when the server appeared to ask how things were going. For instance I needed more iced tea but had to wait a while to get it, and I never got to ask for more napkins. I was alone and reading a book, so maybe he thought I wanted to be left to myself (which is mostly true). The only time I minded the very long wait was after I got the check, gave my credit card, got back the bill to sign and then he never came to pick up the signed bill. So...I just got up and left.I guess the fact that the restaurant was completely empty when I went in (around 6:30 p.m.should have told me something. Even when I left only two other customers had arrived (in about an hour).
Nice food at this place . I liked the entree the coffee.
I really recommend this restaurant. The best things that I try was beef kbab and beef awsal , kipa was good , and the chicken shawarma also.
