I grew up in Mattapan. Its my home neighborhood. The scenery of it is still beautiful, but it aint as innocent as it was back in the day.

Suns shinning, beautiful ppl everywhere. The streets are filled with laughter and good vibes. Take it from me if beautiful woman dressed up to impress and men looking so scrumptious then have no doubt Mattapan square is definitely a place to visit. Do some shopping, get some good eating or just enjoy the sight sun and diverse abundance of ppl.

Variety of international options definitely a great place to shop for these items. Some things were too high for me. They do sell barrels if you ship items internationally, thats a plus.

So much potential to be an amazing place to sit outside for lunch. However you will not find that in the square.

New big condos...new businesses... hopefully new money...new opportunities for the old neighborhood...very cultural and vibrant community...a mix of diversity where everyone is welcome and appreciated.

Now dont get Me wrong there are alot of stores, banks, & there is a Health Care Clinic there also. Its just the People that hangout in the square gives it a low rating by Me. Public drinking, People loitering in front of the Stores, fights out in the streets. If you look like an easy target then U will Get Got! Its so bad there now its ridiculous!!! So Be Warned, be aware, & stay alert. That is if you decide to venture there 🙁😟😔

Travel from Watertown monthly to Shop at Clintons meat market. The meats are fresh and the people are very friendly. Just like being at home.

Mattapan Square is always a busy place - so many different cultures. I went into a small convenience store where the gentleman behind the counter tried to convince me to buy a "windfall" $10 ticket as he had been told there is still a $1M ticket out there.😁 I bought one anyway.

Got to hang out with my son and his wife for about a half hour today. It was fun.

I am excited about new developments around the square. The new bicycle Park and the multi unit residential complex by the station. Its seems new life is being injected to the zoom that look dreadful.

Decent shopping plaza, diverse set of stores. Not far from the Mattapan transit station for buses and the trolley to Ashmount.

A abundant of different stores and outlets, different restaurants. A good area for quick shopping and a great meal

A hidden gem on a busy street would highly recommend if you visit this plaza you park behind post office or the health clinic .

Loved it, a sense of community, wonderful people and stores to explore! Highly recommended!

A lot of mischievousness very dirty even though its the hood the liquor store Fernandez is a very nice place nice people rest in mattapan square short of the mobil gas station which is another nice place to get your car fixed and a very nice gentleman at the mobile very conscientious and he is not a robber he only fixed what he supposed to fix does a great job

When I was down in mattapan square the other day with my neighbour A lot of memories came flooding back to me for when my grandmother owned a house around the corner on river street good memories the local people Where very polite memories I can clearly see they are trying to revitalise mattapan square keep up the good work I will be coming back there is a restaurant there in mattapan square is called brothers I have been told so much about that restaurant I will be going in there and try and their food They are highway recommended by my friends Have a good day stay safe and healthy.

Have a great area but must stay alert..people and situations all around. Overpriced dollar store. Good Haitian food for low price. Clean liquor store and great pizza!

This the square of mattapan is where you get everything. Fresh fish, scrubs, hair, make ups, cell phone, Caribbean food ect.

Brothers Restaurant has great breakfast, lunch is tasty also. Ive been going there off & on for years. Same own family, same great food, and their food has evolved just as time. Go have some good food .

The hub of Mattapan get everything you need here from clothes alcohol money order bank they have it all great people great environment .

I was able to park without any hassle and conduct multiple businesses, before moving my car. I was able to get a variety of my shopping needs taken care of.

Its always a very vibrant place to shop! its a healthy environment up-and-coming new stores and its always good to spend money in your own community.

Quality in some stores is bad. A lot of cheap knock offs . Golden KKrust is really good. Drivers from out of town have a bad habit of blocking traffic instead of taking a parking spot.

No chaos while shopping in the square. Thats a plus had to run errons. 1st the bank sovereign. Then american food basket. That went smooth as well.overall a good experience.

Its a great local area to shop, eat and meet your neighbors. Also the Mattapan main Street Director makes sure the area is well kept.

Mettapan square is well located within the town and it has clusters of shops where you can buy many items and have breakfast including beauty accessories. If you live in Mettapan, it should be a point of call for your shopping, but if you live near Boston, I wouldnt suggest travelling there for shopping. I was there on a cold wintery Sunday morning and only few shops were opened for business.

Mattapan Square is an incredibly diverse Community where they are various types of businesses. Like any Main Street you can find just about anything in Mattapan Square highly recommend people visit Mattapan Square and patronize the businesses. Sometimes the only problem is parking but a lot of the business have parking in the back.

Not saying mattapan isnt someplace you wouldnt want to to shop. Just if you have better options I wouldnt go there. No matter at what point of the day it is there are always unsavory characters located outside the stores soliciting, the clothing stores are sub par but there are actually great food options there. From soul food, Jamaican cuisine, to pizza shops and Chinese food.

There are things to do in Mattapan Square shopping wise phone store grocery store food places a dollar store Duncans a bank CVS hair supply store. Theres a police station right next to it. There is Mattapan station a Burger King AFB. Not the best place to just be hanging around a lot of activity. A lot of people just hang around outside the shops. If youre trying to just get things done, go fast because people will try to stop and talk to you even if they dont know you for whatever kind of reason.

Convenient to find a variety of hair salons and hair beauty supply stores. Variety of banking services. CVS and Mattapan Community Health Center and various physical therapy venues available. Improvements are consistently being made to add more to the venue.

They have the Super Market, 3 Different Banks Santander, Citizens, and Bank of America, Haitian Restaurant, Haitian Bakery, Pizza Shops, Hair Stores, Dunkin Donuts, Clothing Stores, Jamaican Restaurant, Dominos Pizza, Papa Johns, Jewelry Store, Payless, Dollar Stores, Phone Places to buy phones, The Post Office, Clinic, CVS, Dentist, Lawyer Offices, Eye Doctor, Barber Shops,Gas Station

Traffic zip thru, Poorly cleaned after snow storms. Few seats in SQ. Vagrants hangout and solicit. No bathrooms. No entertainment venue. Much room for improvement.
