Nice spot but food nothing special. No fresh salad available and everything fried.

The menü is very basic with a few dishes listed. The Halászlé is good but all our dishes tasted bad. It is expensive though and really not good. I do not recommend this place.

Very rude staff. I would highly recommend picking any other restaurant on Dunakapu tér!

Again, very spicyFried carp - the only positive thing about this restaurantTea - teabag- Food quantity - big portions- Place 3/10 - the location of the restaurant is very good, but inside the tables are very close to each other and almost no space for the waiters to pass. When we visited this place it was fully crowded (Saturday afternoon- the waiters were stressed, they messed up my food order (I guess because of language barrier), they were dropping cutlery and coins and passing with three plates of food over everyones head wondering whether the next goulash will be on someones table or on my clothes + dirty and oily plates- Payment - cash or by card- Toilet - although looked renovated, not that clean and nicely maintained- Waiters - speaking Hungarian and German, but very little English.

Horrible service and bad food. Used to be good in the past but after COVID19 it went south. Dodgy receipt and they charged us for an empty plate! Avoid at any cost

We were three for an early dinner on a Sunday. Pros: nice location on a plaza, good service. The Cordon Bleu and garlic catfish were fine but nothing special. Cons: extremely pricey! Fries were dried out. Limited menu.

So. The place is not ok. Weve ordered 2 fried cheese. The service is kind of nice but old fashioned. So its not matching recent standards. But the food... Its not bad but its nothing. Like there was no flavor. The cheese should be salty and mild but it was like chewing gum. And the price compared to the food quality is extremely high. Weve paid 7.000 in total (~20 eurbut in good places that i know this dish would cost 30-40% less. I dont recommend this place.Also probably they are not paying the taxes because we didnt received a bill after payment.

Small old school restaurant. Small menu, but tasty dishes. I recommend the fish meals, soup and main. Fair prices. Good place for a simple lunch or dinner

Very good food, nice and helpful waiter.

At 9, a hour before closing, the tables are locked. No possibility to sit down. The wine named "Soproni Kekfrankos" was a red wine from Pannonhalma.

Hungarian traditional dishes. Breaded chicken breast with sour cream & stew with mushroom & gnocchi. You should taste them. Youll find different fish dishes as well. The restaurant is close to the original fisherman port. English speaking staff.

Lovely local restaurant specialized on fish cuisine (however you can also have meat or turkey, or soups). The cuisine is very good however quite crafty and think before selecting many options. English language is less spoken here in comparison with German and Hungarian :-)

Fair prices, but the service was appalling, table wasnt cleared after the previous guest, and my food was so salty that it was unsuitable for consumption. Nice set however, so hope you will have better luck than I had!

The service is rather slow, and the prices a bit on the expensive side, but the traditional food is good.

My favourite place in Gyor. The best fish soups ( halászléand ice cold wine spritzers. Not too many tables inside so during weekends its better to ask for a table to reserve. They dont have kids menu so I would recommend this place rather for adults only.

Great atmosphere, too bad they dont have an outside seating area.

Very smal restaurant with mainly fish dishes but also some very good tradiditional hungarian. I was very impressed with the fish soup and the paprika prickles. Also very good pricesl! The waiter english was minimal but we managed with german :)

Place nice, food good but I havent seen such an unfriendly almost rude service for a long time. If you dont speak Hungarian or if you have kids, go somewhere else.

At first sight maybe it doesnt seem a good quality restaurant, but trust me (or history as this is the oldest restaurant in the town: it has been operating since the early 1800you can have the best fish soup and crackling scones here. I regularly get in just to buy some crackling scones to take away. Its simply heavenly.So in a few words: tasty traditional Hungarian cuisine and fish dishes, friendly service, average prices and great location.
