9610 Old Cutler Road, Coral Gables, FL 33156, United States, Country Walk
Breezy sheltered beach with a man-made atoll pool that accommodates new swimmers & kiteboarders.
Beautiful place, perfect for kids, bathrooms restaurant, parking and marina! It could be better if the city fix the flood problem
Such a beautiful park. I definitely recommend for picnics and stuff (just clean up after yourself when youre done)
Unfortunately, this park is flooded due to high tide. Hard winds have the area with dead brown pines on the floor. The mangros although beautiful they smell bad. 😔
Definitely a must set in Miami. Its got lots of parking, an amazing water view of the city, and even a wave pool with a restaurant and lose guards. 😀Highly recommend visiting!
One of my favorite Miami-Dade parks that brings me a cascade of wonderful memories going back to my childhood. Quiet and scenic locale with plenty to do. Hoping the parks and recreation department restores access to the wading beach on the south side soon.
The car and trailer parking floods big time, nice new dock plastic poles but really wide and cleats on dock makes hard to tight up the other than that is beatiful
As much as I LOVE the water, I didnt really enjoy it here. The water was waaaayy to murky and slimy/slippery. Even the sand on the shore was slippery. I was still able to have a nice relaxing evening with family, but I dont think Id visit again.
A Very beautiful and peaceful sandy beach with a wonderful breeze which makes for a beautiful picnic day! It was a pity swimming was prohibited on this day. Great place to take photos; very scenic ocean front. 9 months later I Went back for another visit this time just to take photos.
Warning beware I went to have a good time with my kids specially the one that was so excited to go that hard autism they told me I could not take my family there very rude it was a channel Telemundo the Spanish channel that said they were close that we could not come in very upset 😭 there was a metro Dade police officer there with a beard but I’ll save that one another day very sad what MIAMI has become I am equal fair for everybody but it looks like we are not allowed in Miami anymore we don’t run it that’s sad especially the ones that run Miami Miami‘s become a 1980s but I end up going to Fairchild had a better time thank you to the staff of Fairchild that made it happen
This place is a hidden gem within the busy Miami buzz. Opened to the public in 1930. It remains one of those free gifts (thanks to the donation of land from Willian J. Mathesonone must enjoy. An encounter of the nature kind! With mangroves, hardwood forest, open green areas for picnics, marina and at the end, the open Biscayne Bay with an enclosed beach pond, perfect for kids and all in the family. Great to make it a biking destination, whether you bike from home, or drive/park and unload your two wheels at the Cartagena Circle. Start pedaling Southbound on Old Cutler Rd. about 18 minutes to find it on your left. You are in for a treat... Enjoy... Thank you Mr. Matheson!
Nice park but didnt find much to do with children
Depart to another world... Breeze, clouds, water, sun....drift away
Mostly great! The small man-made beach has gotten a bit more algae filled since our visit last year, but thats to be expected and its still very nice overall. The views never disappoint when looking out to the ocean and seeing part of downtown Miami. Its never too crowded when we go and is always very relaxing.
Nice park with a really nice beach concept (circular beach around a saltwater pool with one edge overlooking the ocean). Also, great view of the city from the car park.Just a fleeting visit this time but planning to come back to enjoy the experience more.
This beach seems nice and quiet, good place for quality family time… except for the water. The water in the atoll smells like sulfur! That smell stayed on our clothes, skin, hair EVERYTHING!! Not sure if they do but that water should be tested at minimum every day. I hope that this is not a waste dumping ground for the county. Good from far but far from good
Terrible dark beach and so many rules! The lifeguards said No tends, no surfboards, no balls and not lie on the board of the beach…. Not worth visiting!
Maybe this park is good for other things but the beach is horrible. Water is black, smells bad with super, super, super annoying lifeguard screaming on a megaphone every 5 minutes. We have so many beautiful clear beaches, look for some other one to visit.
A gem of a park. A quiet secluded beach for kids to splash around in water, a liceguard on duty, a parking lot with lots of parking spaces. A great spot for anyone looking for some peace and quiet in the area.
Its a decent place for family time. Many movies and video have been shot here.
An incredible place, with a spectacular view of Miami, the best place to find peace, breathe fresh air and enjoy board sports in the sea.
Great little spot to park and walk around take in the scenery. Had a beach and a restaurant
They have been doing some construction for some time now which restricts you from experiencing the entire park. Once its all done it should be awesome. In its heyday I would have given it a 5+
Park has great views. Good for biking, running or relaxing. The inner beach is a good option for the small ones.
Place was nice. Parking was around 7 for the entire day
Great spot to relax has everything a park can ask for. Marina, beach pool, restaurant, park, trails kite surfing. If you have kids the beach pool is perfect. They have life guards and provide bathrooms with change rooms nearby.
Secluded area but beautiful scenery with kayaking available along with other water sports, cleanliness, lifeguards on duty. Can’t wait to go back!
A unique location that offers boat owners to load and inload their boat to and from the water. A small inlet beach ideal for parents with their little toddlers and kids. There is a restaurant to order food. Also a Hidden bike trail and an abandoned road, which feels like your at a zombie Apocalypse. Only assume when it gets dusk it becomes very more scary and ideal for people who enjoy that time of adventure.
Amazing views, very clean beach!. By far my favorite beach in Miami. Some important facts: It charges for admission and pets are not allowed on the beach unless they are service animals.
Beautiful park on the water. Nice atoll natural pool for families to safely swim surroundied by groomed sand. Fun to watch kite surfing to the north with view of downtown Miami and Key Biscayne. Easy parking except when tide is in and lot partially fills with water. Clean nice restrooms. Great Red Fish restaurant with Chef Adrianne was exceptional. Very fresh fish entries ($$$), variety of appetizers and good drink menu. Amazing views from bar and outdoor tables. Rooftop tables are probably open when it is warmer. A lot of great photos on here. I will add some from after dark. Beautiful drive to get there through expensive neighborhoods with amazing and unique old Banyan trees!
Closest beach from West Kendall. Nice quiet beach setting with a Restaurant nearby. Lots of picnic tables with lots of trees that provide good shade.
Wonderful beach, quiet and not much people. The parking only 7 dollars on weekends. Highly recommended!!!
Great place to go if you want to see an amazing sunrise. Lots of local photographers travel there every morning. The view of Biscayne Bay and Miami can be breathtaking.
Best place to get a piece of mind. I was all stressed out before I visited this place and was not even imagining that this place gonna get me such a pleasant and peaceful time.I went alone but its best place to take your partner have a good time with him/her. I will defnetly visit this place again
Picturesque place. Can chill here for hours together. Enjoy the seagulls, sunsets and breeze. Options available for restaurants too. Must visit for Miami trips.
At a glance this place is a decent place to BRING young children.. that you want to let get an ocean swim experiance because of its SAFETY of the enclosed bay to swim. However because it is enclosed the bottom is mucky and quite disgusting. It smells of dead fish and anyone with ocean experiance will not enjoy this mucky swim hole.
Great park to ride bike, walk or grab a bite to eat. The food truck by the beach is not found on google maps but the food is great. It is actually owned by Chef Adrianne so the fish and meat is fresh, delicious and at the fraction of the price found in the restaurant.
I enjoyed this place although I did run into a lady that insisted I wear my mask so that I dont get sick. She didnt work there. There wasnt a person around for 50 feet. Thats not a reflection of the park, more a reflection of the times. Its cool. Go check this place out. Its a nice little chill area. Great for going on a walk.
Was there March 8 no entrance fee, free parking, and a gorgeous place with heavenly views, just know that sunset is the opposite direction of the beach
One of my fav parks of south Miami and the whole greater Miami area. Great place to do windsurf, kitesurf, SUP, and enjoy the day in a hammock
A gem of serene beauty. Bike the paths to the waters edge. Bring a picnic to enjoy by the wading inlet, protected by a bulwark of rustic coral boulders. Be prepared to challenge yourself with various water sports or just fish along the canal. Bring park fees if you are motoring in - mosquito repellent if you plan to spend time along the mangroves. Launch your water craft for a day on the water. Call ahead for reservations to the famed onsight jewel, Redfish Grill and to see if they are in season. The Hammock is many things but always beautiful.
Awesome!Plenty of room and parking to enjoy nature, boating, and fishing! The wild iguana 🦎 lizards may startle you if you are not use to them, but they are mostly harmless if you keep your distance.
This is a really cool place but the water itself is pretty mucky and not very appealing. The surrounding area is so peaceful though. I would recommend anyone visiting to take some time to walk the island a bit as there’s lots of nice spots to enjoy
Huge park, with marina, lots of parking, lots of good spots for fishing, grlling and picninc areas and shelters available, sea water pond with plenty of life guards so its great for kids besides theres always fish jumping that kids love.Restaurant at the end , looks upscale and fancy ill have to try it, I believe they offer weekend brunch, theres also a food truck by the other side of the marina. There you can also rent kayaks and some other items for water sports like kite surfing with instructors available.Bring sunscreen and bugs repellent as Ive seen no store at the park.Dont be surprised yo see manatees and dolphins around.
A nice change from the regular beach scene- a small atoll pool, a saltwater pond flushed by the tidal movement of adjacent Biscayne Bay, attracts families with young kids- and there are life guards on duty. Fine dining restaurant- Red Fish on site looks worth trying out sometime. Great views of the city and fun watching all the boat activity. Very scenic for picture taking! Parking is only $5 during weekdays and $7 on weekends
This is a really nice park for family or individual outing . Park is clean and family friendly . Small trail to walk on and lots of greenery and trees . There is bbq area and plenty of space to lounge around . Bathrooms were clean too . Plenty of parking as well.
Lovely place for the kiddos. The parking is $7 and plentiful (in January). There are bathrooms near the kiddie pool and rinse off stations. During the week there is pay by phone parking and no life guards. The kiddie pool is closed then, but screw the rules.
Excellent place to have a great photoshoot session! The best time to go is at 6:30 am and then after 5:45 pm. The place has a variety of scenarios to use ranging from beach, lagoon, a larga mat of grass, trees and a gazebo in a shape of a small castle. I have done two shoots there, and they turned out to be my best photo shoots! I recommend this place to have a good time!
I love this Marina, lots of parking! Staff is very helpful and law enforcement keeping a safe enviorment for everyone! Areas to wash boat and clean fish! Besides the boat ramp also have a nice beach and great area to ride bike with the family! But we are in Miami and you will occasionally see the boat launch bloopers
Great family beach with a cove, lagoon and lifeguard on duty. Bike trails go throughout the park including areas by the enclosed lagoon. The lagoon is great for familes. Good sand for south Florida. There is a company that rents water sports equipment. The boat ramp is open but the restaurant is closed from hurricane damage. Parts of the cove road were still closed. There is an entry fee.
Great park with many different features! Theres boating, kayaking, paddle boarding, swimming and probably much more! I had been there for a BBQ years ago, and hadnt been for ever! But today, something told me to get out of my place since it was such an amazingly beautiful day! So along we went...I happened to have taken the wrong road and passed the boat docks to end up at a small secluded water are where people sat along the water and mangroves in beach chairs, in their pick up trucks and sunbathed or just hung out by the water. It wasnt really what we were looking for so we kept going. We found the beach area right by the restaurant. We found parking right up front and walked right in, parked next to a life guard stand and enjoyed a panoramic vision of the view. The beach area is smaller than your typical open beach but big enough to give everyone there plenty of space to lay out and swim.We stayed for about 2 hours, swam in the dark green water and had a great time under the beautiful blue sky! What a great way to be at a beach and not have to worry about the hustle and bustle of Miami Beach on a Holiday weekend which equals craziness!! Our time was well spent there and it was exactly the perfect thing to do today! : ). Cant wait to enjoy again.Parking is paid by the parking app. There was plenty of parking in the lot. There are 3 life guard stands along the beach which now I would refer to more as a lagoon because it is more like a lake like body of water than an open beach with waves! Nevertheless the less, which ever name you wanna call it by, it is a cool little hang out and very close to me! : )One thing I forgot to mention is that there are no frisbees or other things that you throw, allowed at the beach! Of course we only noticed that after throwing the frisbee around for about 10 minutes, LOL!!!
