Matayoshi Coffee Farm - in Nago, Japan
Banana bread is great. One of the best I’ve ever had, if not the best. Iced coffee was a nice pairing. My only suggestion would be for them to serve their iced coffee in a glass to cut down on plastic waste (plus it makes a nicer picture for Google reviews such as this one). But it is a nice place and I look forward to stopping back by there again sometime. There is a greenhouse too with nice coffee plants for sale, and a zip line.
Highly recommend going on the ATV adventure. My family had so much fun! Our guide was amazing and so friendly.
Nice place to stop off got a drink if driving north. Their coffee selection is great.
Gotta love some 4wheeling in the mud!!!
First time visitors here. We reserved the roasting experience and had a great time. Our guide spoke good English and it was a fun and educational experience. Highly recommend if you are a coffee lover or want to try something new. Ask about their coffee bean cherry jelly; it’s excellent!
Saw a sign for this place & stopped for a coffee. Most expensive coffee Ive ever had in my life. Good but not mind blowing. I like supporting small businesses though! Def want to come back to go ATVing!
We did the buggy tour, so much fun. Really great staff and guides. Delicious coffee and beautiful scenery. Highly recommended for a family adventure.
Had one of the expensive coffee of my life, being a tea lover, coffee was ok ok. But we came all the way to meet one of the friends friend who is working here.
Call them directly and make your appointment. The klook website I was directed to is useless. And over complicated the process.
Amazing coffee farm with Okinawa-grown coffee. A must-visit on the way up or down from Yanbaru National Park. They also have a Zipline and do dune buggy tours of the farm. The fresh juices there in summer (Mango, Shikawasa, Coffee Berryare unbeatable as well.
Great little coffee farm, the coffee tasted absolutely amazing. 10/10 would definitely visit if in the area again.
Great coffee.
Awesome place with fresh made items! They roast there own dark roast which is amazing. They have a buggy (ATVand ziplining course attached so it’s an all in one spot. When driving there it might seem you are lost. However, if you continue on Rt 331, go past the gas station and drive another 15 minutes you’ll see the entrance on the left. They also have a cute truck that sits in the parking area.
alot of stuff to do there coffee from central america.
Great people, great service, great coffe!
We had the Okinawa Coffee and it was nice and smooth. We also got the speciality treats they make and loved those to share and eat ourselves. Very kind staff.
¥900 local coffee.Youll ever only have it once.
My wife and I visited to take the ATV tour of the coffee farm and the path through Yanbaru. It was a wonderful experience and I recommend it for anyone who comes to visit. It is a little pricey, 6500 yen per person. There is a small coffee shop that also serves hotdogs. Kids over 11 can drive their own ATV. If it has just rained you should prepare to get muddy. The staff provides rain boots and some Daiso rain gear for use. We just brought a change of clothes. There isnt much around so I would recommend you pack some snacks and some drinks for before or after.
I want to come back and roast my own coffee beans! We will definitely take the tour!
What a fun place with great coffee. Large coffee menu including locally grown Matayoshi coffee. They have farm tours, zipline and a relaxing park. The coffee shop is small, but there is plenty of space outdoors. Great for a family outing.
Not sure Id pay 1400¥ for Okinawan Coffee, the 450¥ coffee was just as good. If youre exploring in the area and want a pick me up, great spot to grab coffee and a hotdog kinda place. Walking the farm was beautiful scenic walk. Its amazing how they grow the coffee in various steps and different greenhouses.Takes credit card and yen. Plenty of parking.
Really enjoyed picking and making my own coffee
Enjoyed the ATVs they are governed, and rain can prevent you from certain trails, price is a bit high but expected due to location and average visitors it receives.
Their Okinawa coffee and chocolate-covered coffee beans are amazing.
Amazing
Matayoshi Coffee Farm is a nice little coffee shop tucked in to a secluded area along the 331. They import their beans from all over the world as well as grow their own crop. I originally stopped by in search of a quality coffee that i could find on island, but was shocked to see that they sold their coffee at 800 Yen for 100g of coffee ($8.00 for 1/4 lbsThe Matayoshi grown hot coffee I had was one of the best cups of coffee Ive had in the past couple of years. It was a perfect blend of bitterness and acidity with a light and airy texture. Sadly at 1,400 yen ($14.00it was almost double what i am willing to pay for a good cup of coffee so i will likely not be returning.
A bit expensive coffee. ¥1,400/ cup
True coffee experience especially doing the bean to cup experience tour that they offer during the harvesting season.
It’s not really a farm experience. Just very expensive coffee. I wouldn’t go out of my way to come here. No lattes or speciality coffee. The people managing it were super sweet. But it’s just not worth the drive.
Had the Brazil coffee. Great flavor!
Expensive coffee. But a good stop over of you are driving in this region.
Beautiful coffee selection and all freshly rotated. Pricey ~8 usd for 100 grams but well worth it.
The place is very nice and worth the trip, but the coffee is a little too expensive
Neat place. Coffee is quite expensive. Good but not 900 a cup good. Worth a visit if you are in the area.
Coffee is good , but had better. Food selection is small (hot dog and rise with curryprices on a higher scale.
Nice small restaurant. Cabins in the back. Great for a getaway from the city.
Nice place with really nice staff. Had their original mango juice which was amazing.
Friendly staff! Nice atmosphere and great coffee!
Beatiful place in northern Okinawa: nature and peace. Coffee is good, they have their own one, while cheesecake nothing special. Bonus: a super nice cat sitting with us and eating our cake♡.
Underwhelming. Yes it is a farm. Yes it has coffee available. Unfortunately most of the coffee are from other places. I didnt come here to try Colombian or Honduran coffee. The guided tour of the coffee farm is very expensive. We were quoted 70,000 yen for four adults and two children. Needless to say, we opted to skip the tour.
Great place to stay with family. Kids can run around... you can see the milky way at night ...great coffee with friendly staff.
I bought a small jar of coffee bean jam as a souvenir and absolutely loved it!
Great little coffee stop with a few snacks and bakery items.
Amazing coffee farm
Good coffee and pastries.
Nice cabin for stargazing and barbecue! Cookset and induction stove are available. However, the coffee shop here close quite early and choices are quite limited. My friend and I cycle to coffee farm at around 7pm but only some bun were still available (bread here is good tho). In the morning around 10pm only hotdog was ready among the food menu. Recommend to bring your own food if you want to have a rich or proper meal. But still here is a nice place for vacation and definitely I will visit here again.
I enjoyed walking around the area part of this farm, they have a greenhouse, horses, goats, cats, and dogs. The brownie and scone I had with my coffee was really amazing. The coffee that I had was grown right there in the farm, and it was cool to have coffee grown 200m away. The only thing I didnt realize until it was time to pay, was the Okinawa coffee was ¥1000 for a cup, which it a little too expansive in my opinion. I would recommend stopping here if you ever get the chance.
Quick stop to grab a coffee. I guess Bakery Coo that was in Nakijin before is relocated to here (not sure but theres a sign). You have have bread, curry, noodles and buy souvenirs. Im interested in camping site here. I saw a horse too so we might be able to try horse riding.
