MasterTea Cafe & Bites - Bubble tea store in Greensboro, United States
I always enjoy coming here to get my milk teas. Some days its busy and some its relaxed but always been a good experience.
THE BESTEST BOBA PLACE YOU WILL EVER BE TO. IDC IF THYS GRAMSTICALLY INCORRECT. I LIVE THIS PLACE SO MUCH TIS SO CUTE
Staff is not friendly. Got asked to pay for water even with the heat. They have good boba but their customer service sucks.
Great atmosphere and friendly staff. I got a Princess Peach smoothie, it was amazing!
We had there Peach 🍑 teas and it was heavenly. It was so fresh and tasty that it is as almost as if we could taste the peach fuzz.
Where is the 6 star option? Boba is always fresh, Thai tea is always freshly brewed. They now have a massive size option and I was happy to drown my soul in it today. Best boba place I’ve ever been to!
This place needs to update their times or explicitly state on their website and signage that their kitchen closes before the store hours, coming from someone who is in food service. If your store says it closes at 8pm, you should serve food up until that time. I got here at 7:30pm expecting everything to be available and was told that the desserts were unavailable. I asked to clarify whether that included all food and they said yes. If you are expecting the “& Bites” part of this place, be sure to come way before closing.
Went today, pretty sure they are using black sugar tapioca pearls not the commercial brown sugar pearls that I am used to getting at boba shops. There is a distinctive aftertaste that you get with the quick black sugar tapioca. Not a big fan of it. The strawberry milk tea is quite literally strawberry purée and milk. The avocado smoothie was pretty good and probably would have been more enjoyable if the straws were big enough for the pearls. We were having trouble getting the boba as they kept getting stuck in the straws. Overall: fair customer service, cleanliness of the establishment could be improved (as I have seen this place in a better condition), drinks were mediocre with highlight on the avocado smoothie which was good, and the drink prices were normal with market price in boba shops at the current moment.
So glad to have tried this place! Its a great spot for a dinner meeting. I got a milk Thai tea (with Boba), which was delicious, and a vegetarian banh mi combo with a vegetarian fried spring roll that was ROCKIN. Clearly made fresh with good ingredients, well-balanced flavors. Delightful.Theyve got an absolutely lovely cafe with lots of space but a cozy atmosphere. Free WiFi made my meeting possible. Its clean, and the staff was friendly and efficient. As for the boba teas, they definitely "master" the offerings they have. I cant wait to go back and try the phenomenal-sounding desserts.
I have been to Master Tea about a dozen times. My husband and I typically enjoy it. I went in today and ordered a Princess Peach smoothie (my favorite). When I received my order, the taste and color of the smoothie was off. I asked the server if it was made in a different way. I explained that although I had customized the smoothie it did not taste like it regularly did. He simply told me he made it like he was supposed to, there was nothing wrong with it, and to have a nice day. There was no offer to make another smoothie or an opportunity to try something different. I ended up throwing an $8 smoothie (with tipin the trash. I usually love coming here, but after today I may not consider going back.
This was my first time at MasterTea Cafe & Bites. My son asked for boba tea and I Googled the nearest location and this was where we were directed. The atmosphere is all about socializing in a relaxing and inviting space. Airy and beautiful. We came for the bobas but I got a couple of “bites” too. My son got a mango milk slushie with boba and I had the Thai milk tea with boba. I also order a serving of Cheesesteak Rolls that comes with two and I ordered Crab Rangoons. My son loved his Mango Milk Slush. I was pleased with the flavor of my Thai milk tea, not an abundance of spice, but enough to discern that it was Thai Tea. And as this was my first time experiencing boba and I’m very much a texture girl, I’ve decided that I’ll pass on the boba next time. The Cheesesteak Roll/beef and Crab Rangoons were hot and delicious! The beef was tender in the rolls and shells perfectly crispy. The sizing was comparable to a spring roll than an egg roll. The rangoons had a creamy cheese consistency that my son loved and heavier chunks of onions, but the light and crispy fried wonton shell was amazing! We devoured those before thinking to take pictures. Maybe next time, smh…This was a nice Saturday afternoon treat.
Came in recently and they no longer sell Pho any more, Pinkin of you was very milked down but Guava my way was good. There was trash on tables that weren’t occupied and trash can was too full to throw other trash away. Other then that atmosphere was ok.
Ordered a Strawberry Milk Tea and a Bahn mi. Drink was ok. This was my first bahn mi so idk how they should taste. Nice atmosphere tho
The quality of drinks has definitely decreased over the years. Management also seems a little greedy—have had drinks made wrong (at least, not made to what it says on the menu or what I’ve received when ordering the same thing previouslyand when the employee asks the manager they say no to remaking it? I used to really like this place and would stop by anytime I’m in town but now I avoid.
the boba was rlly good the workers there r nice best boba place I’ve been too 👍🏼
Was in anticipation of having a flavorful thai tea. The thai tea tasted watered down. I was very disappointed. My daughters taro tea tasted like plain tea. Definitely had better at other places. Though, they had good customer service.
Enter vacation mode. Visiting our friend for his birthday. Our first go to is Master Tea. For a quick treat, this restaurant is perfect! From tea to coffee, you will be sure to find a combination that puts Master Tea on your list of favorite places. Just be careful not to drink too quick!
I am addicted to Master Tea Cafe & Bites. I go here multiple times a week and would highly recommend them to anyone. I have tried a different tea every time I have went and am yet to be disappointed. I tried the food for the first time last week and was equally impressed. I am so excited to have this local gem in Greensboro!
this is a great meating place, the drinks are amazing and they serve food but Id best describe it as snacks or small meals. tastes great but not enough in my opinion to be filling
Ordered two banh mi sandwiches, bread was really chewy and the ingredients were too wet, wet and chewy sandwich. Popcorn chicken was okay, think they need to change their oil. Thai tea was legit. $28 for an okay lunch.
Great staff! Good food. Milk tea is always worth the trip. Try the strawberry milk tea 😉
Very warm and cozy dining area and offers a vast selection of drinks and foods. I love the boba drinks, but I do have to say the prices are a bit high for some of the plain drinks. Still would recommend, especially for hanging out!
Overall a very pleasant experience. The dining area is fairly clean and aesthetically pleasing. Honestly, the tea is mediocre, but passable. The banh mi sandwiches are delicious, and the employees are generally polite and helpful. Definitely would recommend.
Great place! super cute atmosphere and delicious smoothies and boba tea!
I was so excited when this place opened because I love bubble tea and there weren’t many other options in the area. I never really had a good experience here. The staff was always rude and my drinks were always so inconsistent and sometimes just terrible. It is also very expensive compared to other places and it feels like they charge for every little thing. I do not recommend this place. I only ever went when I was desperately craving boba tea and prayed it would be good that time. Then eventually stopped going altogether because of the poor service. I recently found Moshi Moshi and I am in love, a polar opposite experience.
This place is great! The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. They make amazing Banh Mi and Boba Tea! It is nice and clean and the service is great.
The atmosphere is very relaxing and clean environment . The customer service was good and my wait wasn’t long at all . A good lunch spot just to grab something to eat . If you a person who can eat alone or enjoy your own company this would be a good spot, not a lot of traffic . I would recommend this to my friend and family !.
I liked the combo they had but I didnt like that they didnt tell me the spring roll has shrimp in it. Im allergic to seafood so I just gave the spring roll to my fiance. Good thing they wrapped it in a clear rice paper thing, or I wouldve eaten the shrimp. Maybe there was a label on the menu but I just didnt read it? Other than that Ive only had good experiences there. The drinks are great and so are the sandwiches. Also the cute painting of wings outside is a nice touch too.
Stuff is very rude, they messed up my order and refused to remake it. I have went multiple times and the sandwiches are always made differently and messy. I won’t be eating there again. They always have young children taking you order that don’t know the menu. And never have a smile on there face they are not welcoming. I have sat in twice and the tables are never Clean. You would think since COVID 19 they would be more sanitary.
If you have not been to see these sweet ladies and gentlemen, please do. Go inside and take in the interior as well as the amazing food and teas. Ive tried almost all of their teas and there isnt one I dont love yet. My favorite is the strawberry matcha with added heart jelly. Its too cute for words.
I always stop at Master Tea when I’m on this this side of town. They have the best Jasmine Milk Tea. The owner is always nice to me and makes conversation. I appreciate that because it shows he appreciates me as a customer. Most people don’t do that anymore. I also prefer to support local business as much as possible. I recommend this place to everyone I know.
So, the cashier today must have had a bad morning even though they have been open at 11am (it was 11:28 when I walked in). He was rude from the beginning. He must have thought I didnt know what I want because I actually took the time and read the menu. So when I finally told him what I wanted, he had the nerve to try and correct me as if I didnt know what I was talking about. First and last time coming here. I try and support local, especially specialty shops like this, but Ill stick with my regular boba place on spring garden. They are way more friendlier over there. The drink was good though...
I came here about a week ago and asked what would be a good sweet drink, and was recommended the brown sugar milk. It mainly tasted like milk and the flavor was so mild. It was not sweet and I wanted my money back. I feel like I paid for a cup of milkEgg rolls were good so two stars :/
Can never be in the area that I dont stop to get a drink. Their Thai tea with boba is my favorite but everything there is wonderful!
Tea is great. Nice little spot. However, the manager (guywho works there is literally always rude. The first time I ever went there he was yelling at one of his employees to get on register; I felt like maybe it was a fluke. We all have bad days. But I went in for tea the other day and he was rude to me about ordering boba. I got the last of it. He snaps like a turtle for like no reason haha. Calm down, sir.
The first time I went to this this place I ordered the strawberry smoothie and the classic boba tea. I dont recommend this place because the strawberry smoothie was just apple juice with two strawberries blended inside with whipped cream on top. Also It was my first time at the place and I never had boba tea before but even I could tell the drinks werent made the right way.
Bún Bò Hue is flavorful and my fav drink is always the Master’s Favorite with white pearl, but recently discovered that the Avocado w/ Durian is so good too!
The jasmine milk tea (coconut instead of regular milkwith boba and coffee jelly was made very well and the Korean bbq sandwich was amazingly fresh and sweet with hints of spiciness. The service was very satisfying and the employees were very friendly. I will definitely come there again.
1ST Time here.. Nice staff recommended Bulgogi and egg roll daughter got the Vermicelli Bowl added on a popcorn chicken...Sandwich was Delicious as was everything..Will go back. 😀👍
I got a taro milk tea and it was delicious. Just the right amount of sweet and they didnt go crazy filling it with ice. I will be back here whenever Im in the area.
Been to master ever since they open, and I love their drink and their foods. It was on point!Recently, I went back after a few time of not going. I don’t know what happen but their drink and food doesn’t taste like it used to be. The drink is either too sweet or just off. The food is really blend, no taste at all. I ordered bun bo hue twice a few days ago, and it was really horrible. Disappointed. Sometime I feel like they make their food base on whatever ingredient they have left. Even had spring roll with just lettuce itself! Prices too high!I see a few new worker, maybe that’s why...
The drinks were good, but while we were waiting for our drinks a girl whom I assume was an off duty employee came in with two of her friends, cut the line, and went behind the counter to make her own drinks. It was incredibly unprofessional that no one stopped her. She was wearing a dress and flip flops with loose hair and making her drinks around the people that were actually working. I’m not even sure she paid, just brought her drinks out to her friends while we had to wait in line like everyone else.
Enjoyed the Princess Peach 🍑 smoothie! Peaches, bananas, orange sherbet and peach juice. Fresh ingredients used. The decor is nicely done, the atmosphere is upbeat, and dining area is clean. This place is extremely popular with the trendy. This is not a "fast food" joint, you will have to wait for your goodies in the weekend!
Smoothies were really good and the tea was amazing. Get the tea if you are here. Ordered the halo halo and the beans was not a good combo for me. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming. There are uno cards and other board games to play with Friends which I found to be really good!
My kids & I went today for the first time. The cashier was nice. The tapioca pearls in their milk teas were cooked perfectly. They have the softest boba among all the places we go to. The popcorn chicken was pretty good and their halo-halo. Not much of a fun of their vermicelli salad bowl but all in all it was a good experience.
Really great experience! Came with a group of 6 and we all equally enjoyed it. The atmosphere was welcoming and the interior was nicely decorated. The bubble tea had a wide selection and the ones we tried were really good. The board game selection was a little small but what more do you need other than monopoly, uno and scramble. There were others but I forget the names. The Vietnamese subs were authentic and well made. Would definitely come again.
Arrived 12:33 pm. Ordered the classic milk tea and got it right away. Also ordered the vermicelli salad bowl with pork. The restroom smelled nice and only has one toilet, its only available to customers. The atmosphere is nice. Its a good place for meeting friends and playing board games. You pay when you order. They brought out the food around 12:44 pm on a tray. All the cutlery is disposable, which you throw away when you are done with your food.Milk tea - Sweet like it should be. Ice is filled about halfway and boba is nice and chewy.Vermicelli Salad Bowl - Everything is good the pork is different from what I’m used to.
Great tea spot.Service was friendly however it was slow.Overall, decent place to try some hot or cold teas and cafe items.
Nice store, good selection of teas, food, and treats! I have been several times, everything I have had, has been amazing. I recommend the Halo-Halo and the Princess Peach. Prices are fantastic. Great little date or meet up spot, parking is a bit tight, but nothing they can do about it. Also, they make to order so you will wait a few minutes, nothing major. and it is well worth it. When I have a rough day, I stop by here to grab something delicious and unwind a bit. Staff is friendly without being overbearing. Love it.
I love the environment, the games sold me! Great service and great options. The owner was very sweet and accommodating! And helping us find the perfect drink. This was my first time and I will definitely be returning!
