Thought it would be a right hole looking from the outside, but was actually done out nicely , cheap drinks and nice staff , would definitely go back when we come from leeds again

Friendly fantastic place .Only in Liverpool for one night decided on going here , stayed a while . Tried a few other bars only to end up back at the masquerade . Know where to go next time I’m back in Liverpool .Had a great night .

Went in for my birthday straight away felt comfortable and had great service. The act was hilarious too. Totally recommended and I will be back x

Decent prices on drinks bottles of wine were cheap as chips! Good place to sit down but not so much room inside once it’s busy.

So glad we found this gem of a place in Liverpool. We had a brilliant night out singing, dancing and laughing so much my jaw and sides were aching! The owner Ian was so accommodating and sorted us out with a table and chairs. Both the acts that were on (Soul Sisters and The Gangsterswere brilliant and Daniella Mantrapp keep us entertained through the evening. Every member we encountered were friendly and helpful from Jake the barman to Richie and Craig on the door. We will most definitely visit again when we come back to Liverpool. Thanks so much for a memorable night.

Went Monday with my wife used to go quite often to see few friends there years ago, popped in to see it refurbished as friend said go see, done nice an as usual people were friendly make you welcome definitely go back in future when were out

Love this place expecially now it has new owners and had a re fit... Looks great inside and the bar staff lovely and seem really happy so that added to the enjoyment. Love it inside and loads of seating. We went in the day as had music on and disco lights so it felt like a great afternoon out except due to covid nobody was allowed to dance so it was chair dancing instead lol which we have all become experts at lolol... Cant wait to visit again XXX keep the good work up

On a recent trip to Liverpool I heard a lot about this bar and was excited to visit. However I was so disappointed when I arrived. Tables and customers were not socially distanced. Drag queens performing were grinding on people sat down and not maintaining the 2 metre social distance we are supposed to have. Me and my partner felt extremely uncomfortable had our drink that took 15 minutes for any member of staff to notice us when they weren’t gossiping at the bar and we left and loved on to a bar that did follow the social distancing guidelines. At first I thought because the venue was busy but when I looked over staff were just chatting at the bar and not making any drinks for anybody. Surely these bars should be doing everything to be making the venue safe for everybody. I would have enjoyed the atmosphere more if the coronavirus wasn’t going on but when we are supposed to be keeping our distance and you are filling the building up more than it’s capacity and having drag queens grinding on people and going up into people’s faces during their routine its not good. Maybe I will visit again when this is all over.

Ive heard loads about this pub and i look forward to going there in the new year xx

Me and a friend came up from birmingham,We looked at bars and times a few days before.We turned up to find it closed. Was gutted, but wasnt long before we found other venues to go toWe was annoyed as google stated you were open, yet 4 hours after your stated opening hours you were still closed.

This is my home pub. Some days busier than others. Maybe on day they will start using cards as it is cash only. But the music, staff,everyone is just fantastic spending time with.

Luv the place a home a way from home were ye can just be ye self and not be judged for who you are. With great music, great atmosphere and people and most of all amazing staff.Now has an amazing selection of drinks, pool table and also the staff are willing to help no matter what. Also accommodation above at great rates that have been just renivated.

Like a claggy matt from the eighties but fun. While I was ordering my drink. Some old fossil at the bar shouted " last time I was here, two people died" classy joint.went to the gents, tap, soap and hand dryer all good,no sink, been nicked, Welcome to Liverpool xx

Staff steals personal property.

The bar staff, especially Phill and Immi are involved in a organized crime, in which predetermined thieves come in and steal personal property, upon the request of the bar staff. Please stay away from this place as you will regret it later. I have reported this to this police, who informed me that it is not the first incident. It appears that Phill and Immi ar Peary of an organized crime to steal personal property. Save yourselves the grief.

Good beer choice friendly place

Great place to go, good music and drag act, good atmosphere, drinks on the expensive side and gets busy on a Friday and Saturday night, staff are friendly and offer a wide selection of drinks, a good place to start your night off.

Have been here before on a visit to Liverpool. Called recently and seemed to be new management and few refurbishment. Friendly atmosphere. Good welcome. Enjoyed the chicken balls with the sauces. Definitely call again.

Love this place! Been going there for about 18 to 20 years. Very lively in the evenings, particularly weekends. Quieter during the day which is great if you want to just chat with friends whilst relaxing with a drink. Great DJs too.
