It was really a beautiful place with its outstanding history at the time of Prophet Muhammad SAW

According to some reports, this was also the spot (or close to this areawhere the Prophet (ﷺperformed the Janaza (funeralprayer of Najashi, the Emperor of Aksum in Abbyssinia (Ethiopia). Najashi, although being a Christian, had welcomed the groups of Muslims who had migrated to his country in order to escape the persecution of the Quraysh and later on accepted Islam. When however he passed away, there was nobody to lead the funeral prayers and so the Prophet (ﷺprayed his Janazah salah, the only time ever he did so in the absence of the actual body.

Mosque of Al-Ghamamah (Arabic: مسجد الغمامةis one of the oldest mosques in Medina, Saudi Arabia, located in the place believed to be where the Prophet Mohammed performed an Eid prayer in the year 631. It is also narrated that Prophet Mohammed offered Salat ul-Istasqa when the city of Madina faced a shortage of rain. For a while, this mosque was closed for daily prayers because of its proximity to the Al-Masjid an-Nabawi. However quite recently it has been reopened for the worshippers for praying. Five times prayers are held in this mosque now with an internal sound system to avoid the clash of sounds from the Prophets Mosque. The mosque is one of the historical relics of Medina.

Its a beautiful mosque and is close to Masjid-Nabwi. There is alot of sitting area for people to eat and relax. I absolutely loved this mosque especially at night because of how beautiful it is.

Mashaallah. What a beautiful structure. This mosque is very old and bearing old history.

It is the last place in which the Prophet, may Allah prayers and peace be upon him, prayed the two Elds and prayers for rain, as the Rashidun Caliph Othman bin Affan may Allah be pleased with him, prayed in it during his succession and this mosque was known as the prayer hall and called It and the surrounding area.

I tray to visit the mosque last week and pray there on early morning, but it was close. But its fine I visit once the mosque long time its was amazing not far from the prophet musqe.

Beautiful Mosque. Clean and well maintained. I didn’t see prayers happening in this Masjid mostly because Masjid Nabawi is so close to it.

Mosque of al-Ghamamah (مسجد الغمامة‎is one of the oldest mosques in Medina, Saudi Arabia, located in the place believed to be where the prophet Muhammad performed an Eid prayer in the year 631 CE. According to the Hadith tradition , once the people of Medina complained to prophet Muhammad on the lack of water and rain fall and their hardships in consequence. At the moment prophet was at the Masjid e Nabavi, he rose and emerged from the mosque and offered "Salat ul-Istisqaa" at this approximate location. As he prayed the clouds started to gather and rain fell.The facade and the main entrance to the mosque. The word "Ghamama" means cloud in arabic. It is situated near abi Bakr Mosque. Initially a small mosque was built here by first caliph Umer ibn Khattab it was was later renovated by Sultan Abdul Majeed Al Uthmani and recently by King Fahad bin Abdul Azeez Al Saud. This Masjid is in right front corner of Masjid al-Nabawi some 300 meters away from current gate to courtyard of the Masjid.The mosque was built during the reign of the Caliph Umar bin Abdul Aziz between the hijri calendar of 86 to 93, and renovated by the Sultan Hasan bin Muhammad bin Qalawan Ash-Shalihi in 1340 during the Sharifate of Mecca era. It was renovated again by the Sharif Saifuddin Inal Al-Alai in 1622, and the time of the Sultan Abd-ul-Mejid I in 1859 during the Ottoman era, using new tools and the look resembled more or less the shape of today.mosque is rectangular shaped, and made of two parts, which are entrance door and prayer room. The entrance door is also rectangular shaped and has a length of 26 meters and width of 4 meters, and has five dome-shaped circles drawn on facade. Prayer room has a length of 30 meters and width of 15 meters. It is located at 500 meters west of as-Salam door of al-Masjid an-Nabawi.It is also narrated that Prophet Muhammad offered Salat ul-Istasqa when the city of Madina faced a shortage of rain. When he passed away there was no one who could lead his Janazah, so the Prophet prayed his funeral prayers, the only time ever, in the absence of the actual body.

This masjid is situated near the Prophets mosque at Gate 6. It is very small but worth a visit if you are in the area.

i visited Masjid Al Ghamanah,it is just near to Masjid -E-Nabwi,in Madina Munawarrah.its really beautiful place,pigeons are enhancing the beauty of the place,people enjoye the moment there while feeding pigeons,it attracts also people to take photos there.loved this place

One of the most beautiful mosques i have ever seen. Though it is closed because of very close proximity to Masjid un Nabawi ﷺ. Beautiful outlook and very serene. Thanks to Ottoman Empire for building such a beautiful mosque.

This mosque is near Gate # 6 of Masjid Al nabwi. Our last prophet Muhammad PBUH offer eid prayer in this mosque. This mosque has separate prayer and sound system so that it doesnt clash with masjid nabwi.

This old masjid also located in the area of Nabawi Mosque. This "cloud" mosque is now become monument and museum of Mohammad (pbuhthough we still can see some people pray here. The Ghamamah or cloud refers to the small cloud that always hung above the head of Mohammad (pbuhas the shade of the sun heat.

This place was once an open ground in front of Masjid e Nabwi, where the Holy Prophet Muhammad SAW used to offer Eid prayers. Uthmani Turks built this mosque here. It is a beautiful mosque. The walls are made of the same stone of which the Holy Kaaba walls are built. All Turk architecture in Hijaz area are examples of dedication & brilliance.

Nice and calm mosque just next to masjid nabwi. 5 prayers are performed here. Opens after 10am (morningand closes at 12am(night)
