Masala Bay - Hakka restaurant in Castries, Saint Lucia
Best restaurant we found in Marigot Bay. We came back a second night during the week we vacationed in St Lucia.
Wonderful Indian restaurant with excellent food and service. The naan was excellent. The chicken dishes were fragrant and spicy. Well above expectations.
Much better than expected. Great bold flavors and amazingly tasty.
The food is simply fabulous and credit goes to the Master - Chef Bhuvan! Being an Indian I can’t say enough how amazing the food was :Great views, super courteous staff, superb customer service..nothing that will stop you from falling in love with this place. If you haven’t visited this place even once on your trip to St Lucia then you are surely going to regret it!
We had an amazing dinner, the service was excellent and very detail oriented. The food was tasty and great!!! We ordered both dishes spicy and it happened that the vegetarian dish was a bit too spicy for our taste —> they exchanged it happily and with a smile. Thanks for the great dinner! We were entirely happy especially compared to a lot of other dinner places which we experienced during our 2 weeks stay on St Lucia!!Only downside were the table covers which were of plastic and a bit old / used. Those could be renewed or replaced by proper tablecloth.
The service here is exceptional. Very lovely employees and restaurant manager. Although the food is a tad bit pricy, we loved our Masala experience. We surely recommend!
Food was delicious!! I could have just eaten the butter chicken sauce with rice and would have been equally pleased! Garlic naan was on point. Definitely recommend.
Great dining
The food here is simply amazing! Classy joint, fantastic views of marina and the best chef ever! If you dont know what good Indian food is then go here to learn about it... You will be impressed!
Great restaurant...prices are much better..friendly service..delicious food...many variaties
Came in with a low expectation and were pleasantly surprised by the quality of food, service and ambiance, we had to come back a second time. The restaurant belongs in a five star resort and its really a treat to see it in a local community.
Lovely service Fantastic curry and an amazing range of fusion food. But be warned Bloody Expensive
This is a must go if you are staying in Marigot Bay.1. Most important, the food. Portions were were perfect size. You could taste and finish everything but not over indulge and feel bloated. I saw a lot of reviews saying small portions, that is simply not the case unless you over eat regularly.2. Service, staff was very knowledgeable about every dish we ordered. Explained exactly what everything was comprised of and was able to suggest drinks that complimented the meal. Their service was exceptional, very attentative but not to an annoying point.3. Environment, you can pick your own seat and looking over the bay with delicious food and tasteful music selection I will aslway remember.4. Price, this is a well established restraunt with great service and great food. Prices are displayed and it honestly is not even a bad price for how much I purchased and the quality. 8 pieces of naan, two curries (their more expensive entreestwo lime cucumber cocktails, two waters (anywhere overseas you pay for water if you dont know that), and rice. That all ran us 90US for a "Pricey" restaurant which in my opinion isnt bad.
This is one of my favorite restaurants on the island. Decor and atmosphere is great. Tables on the outdoor balcony have views of the bay and you get to see the sunset. Food is always delicious, tasty and decent portions. You can tell the staff takes pride of this restaurant and it shows : They will welcome you with a smile, they are attentive to detail and recommend dishes that pair well together. We will keep coming back for more.
The food is awesome, the service really kind and fast. Weve been there two nights in row. It was amazing experience. You must try in Marigot bay.If I have to say one minus, maybe only plastic straws in tasty coctails.I higlhly recommend this place.
The food here is all super delicious! Great for vegetarians. Excellent service. Definitely recommend.
Incredible vegetarian options for those hippies who ended up in Marigot Bay but still want to eat some real food.
A memorable dinner of delicious Indian food. A must if you visit Marigot Bay! Lovely decor and waterfront views too.
Wonderful food and service! One of the better places weve been thats geared towards tourists. Weve eaten a lot of Indian in different countries and this one compares with the best!
Hands down the best Indian food I ever had. It takes all the Indian dishes you love and cooks them to utter perfection.
This is an extremely good restaurant, well deserving of its reputation. The location and food are excellent and the portions reasonable. Its expensive relative to others, but I havent factored that into my rating; its Marigot, playground of the rich (and sometimes famousand everyone is well aware that it wont be cheap in advance of going. Well worth a visit!
Beautiful location a little hamstrung by high prices due to its relative inaccessibility. Great if you come in by boat!
I have tried Indian food everywhere. The food at Masala Bay is on par with Mombasa, Kenya, which says a lot. The chicken korma is out of this world. Must try! The service is great and the view on the deck is fantastic. This is worth the drive!
On our week long stay in Marigot Bay, we ate here probably 5 times... it’s that good. Best service, wonderful atmosphere and the food is out of this world.
5 stars! Both my wife and I agree this is by far the best indian food we have tried so far. The service was incredible. The views from the restaurant to the Marigot Bay are stunning, we went after 6pm and the sunset is incredible. We called for a reservation and got the best spot/view at a corner of the restaurant. The chef came to check how we felt about the food. The atmosphere is really nice and chill, to wind down after a day on the beach. Marigot Bay is a not a very crowded place, but its worth visiting. Beautiful scenery.I strongly recommend this place!
Food here is exceptional, service even better!
Wonderful experience. Great food. Will return😊
Honestly the best Indian I’ve ever had. And I’ve been to India and lived right next to brick lane most of my life so I know what I’m on about. We didn’t have anything that we didn’t love with the perfect balance between flavour and heat. The price are high but you really get what you’re paying for. The staff were friendly and helpful.
My husband and i went there for lunch the food was absolutely gorgeous & the service was superb. We had butter chicken, prawn molee curry and Garlic Chili Cilantro Naan. Portions were just right. We didnt expect to find quite such a good Indian Restaurant in St. Lucia. We would heartily recommend the Masala Bay if you get to Marigot Bay on your travels. Thanks for the food experience it was amazing. The Sister will see us soon...Portions were just right.
Great atmosphere and view. Scrumptious food. Definitely worth the drive!
Great food and ambiance. The staff were very friendly! Will definitely be back

We had met the cousin o. Our flat over he said it was real good we will go back before we leave . So worth with the service and the view. Started with a special appy from chef whatever it was it was so awesome. Then more glasses of wine nice wine list. Then a couple of more appy’s . If we weren’t so full we would have get ordering . I had the Prawns delious and G had the egg roll not what you think not fried and crispy but really good . We err so happy for the recommendation from N.K see you in Charlotte again . If your going enjoy all the service the view and most of all the Food
Great service and food, though I preferred spice of life in Rodney Bay.
Best Indian food in St. Lucia! I would recommend the chicken biryani.
Amazing food as spicy as you want it just ask. Great service too.
Love it grate food lovely people beautiful place to eat at
I have visited Masala Bay many times while we are in Marigot bay, St. Lucia, as it is one of the best restaurants around the bay. They offer a variety of great indian dishes. Be careful if you dont want/ tolerate spicy food as it could be difficult for them to cook it, it happened to my husband during last trip and it ruined our night (he couldnt eat). Staff is always very friendly.
Really nice staff and excellent food and cocktail
Nice food and the most nice staff to make your dinner or lunch the best experience.
Everything about Masala Bay was top notch. The food was some of the best Indian Ive ever had and the decor was just perfect for a little place in a harbor. The staff were phenomenal and the chefs truly cared how your meal was.Simply a great place to eat. Couldnt recommend more.
Exceptional food, super friendly staff. Highly recommended!
We are in Marigot Bay for a few days and there are few restaurants open here in low season. However, everyone was raving about this one and boy were they right! We have eaten Indian food all over the world, and this was THE BEST.The service, the location, the presentation, the staff, and the food are all 5-stars for us. We had a lamb dish, a spinach-potato dish, samosas and rice, and they were wonderful, every one (well, rice was rice). Oh, and raita. Thickest and most flavorful I have ever had.And a fabulous place to watch the sunset to boot!Expensive (all food in St Lucia is expensive, get over it), but so worth it! And thank you for making us feel so welcome, staff and especially Tamara!
Great food, Great staff, wonderful sunset view!
Absolutely delicious. Highly recommend. A hidden gem
Great staff, really accommodating to my wifes special dietary requirements. Superb food and a great location by the water.
Easily one of the top indian restaurants in the country. Great food and friendly helpful staff
The staff was very nice and helpful. We started with the tandoori chilli lime prawns which was wonderful as was the 3 dipping sauces. Main course was butter chicken and lamb kali mirch along with some chilli garlic cilantro naan. We are definitely planning on eating here again before we leave.
Best for a little breakfast. Really good pastries!
Best Indian food on the island, great staff, and awesome views.
