Masaki Sushi Wok in Cartagena

This place is a shame. The noodles looked and tasted like instant noodles! The fried rice had nothing to do with real fried rice! This place is nothing related to Japanese food!!!

Food and service was amazing

Don’t go there. We ordered Ebi only to see that it came with no eel and only “eel and sesame sauce” - the equivalent of ordering steak only to see French fries and meat sauce. In the other maki roll with eel we didn’t see any at all, and the waiter showed us a tiny chunk of eel, which was barely visible next to the seaweed. They also did not apologize and replied that they followed the menu. We do not have experience with any other dishes but we suspect that they resort to similar means - playing word games and giving almost invisible chunks of seafood to fool the consumers. We are not happy with this at all.

Mr. Oscar and his staff were excellent hosts to us while in Cartagena. It’s location is perfect, right in the heart of all the action. The ambiance is great and very clean. María was our server and was quick and responsive to our needs. Highly recommend to stop by for a few rolls, especially the pizza roll. 10/10!!!

Not my first or second choice in El Centro but it got the job done. We ordered a variety of things and everything was alright but nothing was amazing.

Grilled fish, vegetables and strawberry lychee drink. Very delicious and fresh vegetables. Fish wasnt the best I had but I still recommend this restaurant for all the other interesting food choices

I went here for dinner with one of my friends when we visited Cartagena a few days ago. It was some of the best sushi I’ve had ever and the prices were great. I also had a lychee based drink which was extremely good😋

Masaki sushi wok is one of my favorite places to eat in Cartagena. My Go-to sushi rolls are the emperador and Masaki although I do try different ones everytime I visit. Everything has been great! I will admit I was a bit nervous to try sushi in Colombia but after eating here several times I can assure you that there is nothing to worry about . Give Masaki a try on your visit to the centro! 💯💯💯 @morircomiendo

I came here twice while I was in Cartagena and really enjoyed the sushi and the lychee martini. The first time I went they had the lychee martini but I went two days later and they were out of it which was very disappointing.

An excellent place to enjoy alone together, in company or with friends.From the beginning they show you the card that has a lot to choose from from start to finish Different shapes and dishes to choose from. The excellent attention and the dishes much more. If one day you want to indulge in sushi, I recommend this place blindly.

I was not expecting much of a sushi place in Colombia, but I was wrong! I honestly like more classic japanese sushi with well seasoned rice... This place has a lot of cream cheese and more amerocan stuff. However, the sushi I ordered were good, fresh generous! I was like "wow, this is same price as home" (which is a lot of money for Colombia), but you actually get 10 maki, which is an entire roll, not the half... so its half the price.

I was really impressed with this place as the rolls tasted great. However, my boyfriend and I both came down with TERRIBLE food poisoning the morning after we dined here. I believe it was the chopped up shrimp topping on the Masaki sushi roll that may have been sitting out too long though out the day. I should’ve trusted my gut - initially I pushed the topping off to the side & ended up picking at it after the fact. Whatever it was, ruined the last two days of our vacation.I would LOVE to recommend this place but had to warn you guys - if you don’t want to chance food poisoning, eat somewhere else 😅

The food and the service were perfect, all were really really good, I ate the masaki roll and el emperador roll, the place really nice and peaceful

It was fantastic, we had something called Sushi pizza it was a great surprise and you should try it, I dont have the pictures for it since we eat it so fast I forget to take the picture, prices are standard but the portion is quite large.The corozo juice is also a must.

The food is ok but they are skimpy on the fish. The rice is authentic asian style, very delicious. I am not sure why wasabi us not hot enough. Fish does not taste fresh. Over all I guess is ok but not my favorite. If you have to get sushi then come on down. Not good wine selection. Cheap wine I guess customers do not like good wines so they have none but cheap.

Awesome sushi, it doesnt have a bar, but the nigiri and the rolls were delicious, the edamame was very fresh and super hot, the attention very good, very clean, the price is a little high, but totally worth it. Out of a five star rating, it deserves 5+

Always delicious. Sometimes not rolled the best, but always great tasting.

Ordered prawn tempura, the batter was hard ..even from the color one would know that is not a Japanese tempura look like! And the edamame - its overcooked to the extent that some of the beans spilled out and the green color of edamame was pale. And the coconut lemonade drink is too vanilla-like taste that you cant identify the flavors of either coconut or lemonade. With such a price tag, its a shame.

Sushi is as authentic as you can get and well made. A bit pricy for Colombia. I would have eaten more had I not already blown my lunch budget

The place is nice and the service is good but the salmon was King of gummy, they used the most fatty part. The appetizer was real good. Grab tartare with tuna.

Great japanese food with an honest price in Cartagena.

Great for sushi and Nigiri. Not as good for the Yakisoba. Staff was courteous. It is located right next to all the clubs, so its a great spot for a decent sit down. The sushi was pretty fresh. Eel was pretty tasty, although there is a ton of rice with each Nigiri, which makes it hard to eat in one bite.Cost was about $30 USD a person with just a soda + water.

Went by good reviews, but we were really disappointed with the yaki soba noodles dish.

I love the place.My favourites are Sushi Pizza and Paradise RollI also like Rainbow roll and Cantones rice.

A little on the pricey side but the food was high quality. The drinks were very reasonably priced considering location.

Very very expensine sushi, great fish nice place, expect to pay 30,000 + a roll, tryed the fish dinner it was the size of an appitizer would need three to be full.

Had very good tempura and nice sashimi. Not the best Japanese but it defends itself well and the staff is very nice

Excellent experience. We ordered a sushi pizza as entry, which is a specialty of the place. Just delicious, some people come to the place and order several sushi pizzas and beers. We had the time to be attended by the sushi master whom recommended the Paraiso roll. We ordered one of those along with a California roll. Both were delicious. Attention was very personalized, fully recommended
