Found a tiny fly on my chips, disgusting, if I could upload the photo I would but cautious and check your food before shoving it in your mouth guys

Chicken is OK but the thinks that stop me is that all the time I go there with different staff all the time and different price, one person charge u 3quid for 4 wins and chips and some of them charge u 3.50 lol, the owner should have a meeting with his staff to keep the price same and no one day 3quid and another day 3.50

Got assaulted in here by some scumbag.Terrible place.

The man behind the counter this afternoon around 15:45 was extremely unpleasant. He acted annoyed to repeat things and was just generally unfriendly. He also swooped up WAY LESS fries than I’m accustomed of getting for the £3.50 6pc wing + chips. They are getting increasingly stingy after having increased the prices a couple months ago. I’m disappointed.

Initially tried to overcharge me by 40p even after being in the night before (10th Junefor the same meal, then after saying it was only £5, they try charging 6 so I walk out. Appalling new staff and scummy business. Completely attempting to take advantage of people that know no better. Cut off my regular visits and will be speaking to the supervisor when available.

Some s*it place, food is bad and chicken wings tastes like granny’s pu**y.

Its a Maryland chicken... Chicken for drunk people who dont care about cleanliness in the middle of the night.

The wings are SO GOOD, good prices, great menu range, fast service

Maryland chickens still the same as 12 years ago! They still make low quality fried chicken . They were closed down twice for hygiene purposes by the council but they still cook without gloves or any higher food hygiene standards then 12 years ago. I still get food stomachache if I havent been to it for sometime.However, the prices have altered tremendously. A chicken burger meal that used to be £2.50 a year ago (NOT 12 MONTHS AGOhas gone up now to £5 minimum. The food is the same as 10 years ago, the food hygiene and how it is prepared is the same as 10 years ago and workers including the chefs PPE is the same as 10 years ago. They still cook and prepare food for customers as 10 years ago! Even though, they were closed down twice for refinements for the same unhygienic practices.As customers, we urge the management to do better and look after the locals, we might look after you!Good luck.

Best chicken in Nottingham, always go here. Better than KFC.

I havent ate in maryland in a long time and today reminded me why i bought a homeless man food and when i walked in there was a man waiting to order whilst the staff was just stood there on his phone then whilst he was packing his order i asked him how much is a chicken burger meal and he ignored me the staff was so rude I definitely would not recommend especially as people know they was selling pigeons just a couple years ago and never have i ever seen anyone washing their hands there like a human phone has so much bacteria so for him to go from touching his phone to touching ppls food is disgusting

I specifically asked for a veggie burger with lettuce and bbq sauce only. They give me one with mayo on which I am ALLERGIC to. I tell them and they just shove the same burger back in the fryer. They then give it back to me clearly still with mayo on. 🤢

The chips, wings and strips are pretty good for a standard takeaway in Nottingham. If youre in a hurry for quick and fast food at a lower price, this is a place to go. But, I wouldnt say its outstanding or really good.

Lovely place nice after a few pints . Not as good deals on just eat as the shop itself more dearer. Plus bucket chicken deals less chicken and costs more . Food quality is very good never had a problem here

I swear. I use this place quite abit. We t tonight the man didnt even know what he was doing. Tried charging me extra then what my actual price should be. Food was cold. Chips tasted like they have bee warmed in a microwave... All hard ... And the chicken asked for thighs and got wings that were red..😡😡😡😡 absolutely fumming

Zero star rating with food hygiene. One of the only takeaways in Nottingham city that has a zero rating meaning urgent improvement is necessary. Dont eat here.

No other chicken place in Nottingham quite matches up. Theres something about their spice mix that makes me trek across town on a night out just for one of their strip burgers. I just wish they delivered!

Food was cold so sent it back, they took their time replacing it. First and last visit from me. Staff didnt seem bothered about customer service.

I like Maryland chicken and feel privileged that Nottingham is one of the few cities that do it. Sad that theyve temporarily shut down that location because its ideal after a night out.

I ordered a family meal ... I recived 6 pieces of chicken instead of 8 pieces ... And they did not give corn at all ... Poor

The only reason this is still two stars because the food is good,the staff member on tonight 22/23 may was ignorant cared more about his phone call to a friend, I paid for 5 strip meal for 4 strips then brought my partner 3 strip meal for two strips and when asked about it we ate the strips trying to get more!? What the hell...

Is it good quality? No, not particularly. Is the service exceptional? No, its alright though. Is it cheap? Yes crazy cheap. Does it taste good? Honestly, it tastes amazing. Get drunk before you go and Im sure youll have a great experience.

The cooking is bad specially at nights. I found wings not fully cooked. The guys named orvil shafique and rensly serves excellent and are friendly too.

Its good food At a cheap price but they list things for like £4.99 and then if you give them £5 they wont give you the Penny, which doesnt bother me because Id of told them to keep it anyway but it is false advertising

Ive been a customer at Maryland Chicken on Lower Parliament St. for ten years, and not once have I ever had a bad meal here. In fact, I feel confident in saying that this establishent is the best fried chicken shop in U.K., let alone Nottingham.A frequent buyer of the meal that includes five chicken strips, chips and a soft/still drink, I can confirm that the chicken has always delivered through its succulent flavour, while the chips raise the bar in size, shape and taste.I left Nottingham to live in Leeds for three years in 2012, and on my travels in the North I failed to find a fried chicken shop that could provide real value for money on fried chicken meals – and I promise you, I did try.Now living in London, the thought of visiting Nottingham excites me each time because, aside from seeing friends and family, on the top of my list is visiting Maryland Chicken.I may have changed from the unsteady journey from teenager to adult, but that great Maryland taste hasnt left my mouth, and neither will the memories.Thanks lads.

If I could I would give 0.1 star as I ordered 2 steak burger plus fries times two and requested to put chilli sauce in two and I end up with 4 steak burgers with no fries and no sauce so I am very dissapointed as usual

Very bad experience!!!! Seen a member of staff trying to hide behind fryer with his hand down his pants scratching away hoping no one can see him!!! Can not post unless I opt for one star but believe me if I could I would post with minus 5 stars!!!!! Unbelievable for someone to do that thinking it’s exceptable !!!!

today(09/01/2018around 17:30I went to the store to make an order, I then ordered a menu of 3.99 4 strips 4 chicken wings and fries, another menu of 3.99 of chicken burger plus 4 wings and fries and to finish my order 4 chicken wings for 1.49, on my accounts this from 9.47 but the worker said it was £ 10.I received the request and asked him if everything was, he said yes. left the store and went to the car before starting the march I confirmed the request to find a box with the chicken burger, a box with 4 strips and 2 chicken wings and fries and another box with 2 chicken wings and fries product was missing. I went to the store to explain that I had missed product and worker was very rude and he told me that he had put everything right and I told him to check in the cctv what he had put in the box. Turned me over is back and was put in a box what was missing and he put only 5 wings. But if I paid 12 wings, why he just give me 9 wings? The worker turned to me and said that I was paranoiac and to never go back. Also said to me that i paid 10£ already and i had in the bag 30£ in products. So I told him that I did not want the product, but my money back. I just wanted the things I paid for no more! Ive never been humiliated like this in all my life. Im 35 years old, Im not a child. But people like that do not deserve to work with public, a simple apology would fix is mistake.

This is the best place for food!! The best price for a tonne of grub. If at Pryzm this is the best option. Don’t go food factory or McDonalds. This is the place to go!!!!!How dare you give this place no less than a 5 star

Bad service. The waiter is complaining about me and my friend giving him big notes. He threw my £20 back at me. I feel humiliated.

Overcharged us, didnt receive our 6pcs chicken wings, chicken strips were dry and hard. the chips were soggy and tasted old. The burger buns were really hard. i was not satisfied with the food and the customer service was really bad.

The place isnt as hygienic as we all want it to be but the Chicken is 10/10. The chips are only nice when fresh. Very Cheap. Cheaper than McDonalds to be honest.

The staff that work at this restaurant lack any sense of hygenic awarness, its like they have been incurred with mentally handicapped special abilities in stupidity. my first visit was rememerable for all the wrong reasons, firstly the staff cannot speak english with at least a 5 year old childs linguistics, they seem all to be complete foreingers originating from south asia.as i ordered i noticed the cracked flooring, missing chairs, greasy walls and uncovered beards, i noticed a alot of white stains on the walls next to the staff toilets, excessive amounts of tissue was present acompaning the semen like substancei dont recommend this place to anyone who wants avoid any serious infectual illness from the extremley rancid smell resembling human feaces that fills the takeaways atmoshpherenever will i eat again there

The best chicken i have ever tasted. Its a bit like KFC style but better. The fries and burgers are similar to Mc Donalds but better. Prices ard really cheap as well and staff are lovely. Definately a good place to go for food after a night out
