Mary and Robbs Westwood Cafe in Los Angeles

Service was bad. It would take about 2 hours to get brunch or lunch. I dont wanna say racism but there was some sort of favorism, I saw two table who came after us get their food and leave before we could get our food.

This previous so so coffee shop has been elevated to an exceptional diner. The freshest beautifully presented very tasty food was a great find in Westwood. Hoping they hire more people to allow them to extend their dining hours.

This was a disaster. Ill never go there again . It took an hour 20 min to get our food.Some obese people came after us and starting talking to me as if I were an employee. They were seated before us and left their table before we were even served. I felt like I was in jail, I was so glad to be out of there . The food was ok.

I was a little disappointed with this place. The service was poor. They asked me what I wanted to drink 3 times and finally I got my coffee. I asked for a spoon to stir my coffee and the waiter said,"We dont have spoons right now, they are in the dishwasher" We waited for almost an hour and finally got our food. The food was ok, I guess at this point I was just pisst. I saw reviews but figured I would have a different experience. I dont think management even reads these reviews or they would make some changes. Save your money and time and find another place.

Had the Santa Fe scramble and later some buttermilk pancakes. Portions were good and price was reasonable.

Very cool old cafeteria diner. Unfortunately my hashbrowns were served cold. Other than that, it was great.

A long term go-to in Westwood for a nice and comfy breakfast or lunch spot, deli-home style menu and really yummy food.

I want to love this place so bad, its got an amazing aesthetic and the menu is fine. But the recipes are just not right. The amount of paprika on the eggs benedict and absolutely inundated into the hashbrowns was mind boggling. The hollandaise sauce is just not good as well. It needs to be totally reworked. The corn beef hash was also really low quality. Its a beautiful spot but for the price the recipes and quality of food just dont match

After visiting UCLA we were looking for a place for lunch. Found a parking place on Westwood and Ohio, walked up the block and came across Mary and Robbs- it looked nice and we are glad we went in. What a great experience- excellent, friendly service, nice decor and the food was outstanding! Had one of the best grilled cheese and ham sandwiches ever with great tater tots. My sister had a salad and highly recommend the homemade Ranch dressing. Next time Im LA, not matter what neighborhood, Im heading for Westwood just to eat at Mary and Robbs.

This place was a mockery. I have never ate food that had no flavor at all. The fact that water had more flavor says it all. The steak was alright, but overall was not satisfied with the place. It was my homies graduation and I had high hopes for this place. But, all it did was make me feel bad about the bad experience my friends had at this restaurant. Please, add more flavor to your foods. But the French toasts was good. 👌.

I went here on a Saturday morning with four friends and our toddlers. The staff was very accommodating and the service was great. All the food was also very good. We got the breakfast burrito, omelets, pancakes, French toast. Best tater tots! Everything was great.

Nice place , good food only thing is that they put so much Paprika on everything also felt like they didn’t let the Hispanic that work there speak Spanish which it was kinda uncomfortable seeing how they didn’t feel comfortable.

Had breakfast delivered. This place has the best packaging for delivery. Vented containers allow the food to arrive crispy not soggy. Everything was sealed, no worrying if someone ate a ff.The food is very good, large portions and great coffee.

I know that this is supposed to be a popular neighborhood brunch spot but my experience here was very much below my expectations.This restaurant struggled to have enough workers during the pandemic so the service quality was terrible. We waited 20 mins to get in, the restaurant was full. Waited 25 mins to order. Meanwhile, no server ever came by, not even to bring water. We waited another 25 mins to get my food (I watched the time), and struggled to find a person to get the check. The quality of the food was at best mediocre, we were definitely very frustrated after a long wait. The waitress told us, 7 servers are supposed to be working, but she’s the only one who was working today. So the question is, why would the host fully seat everyone?

2 stars for the old school charm. The service was horrible, it took forever to get food, the full meal never came out then they told me 15 minutes in that they were all out because they were busy. The lady serving us was so nice but I could tell everyone here was being grossly overworked. She seemed like she was doing the job of 3 people. I wouldn’t come back here though I live nearby and would have loved for this place to be better so we could have become regulars.Also there’s no kids menu, not kid friendly.

Stopped in Mary and Robbs Westwood Cafe for lunch before doing a trolley tour. The staff was friendly, and we were promptly greeted. The service was quick and pleasant. We werent in the mood for breakfast food, but the menu was very tempting! I ordered the tuna salad sandwich on sourdough with a side salad, and my husband got the tuna melt on wheat with fries. Both sandwiches were excellent. I especially enjoyed the side salad with apple slices and a tangy dressing. The restaurant is bright and cheerful, and I enjoyed looking at the beautiful photographs on the walls. Pat was telling another patron that business had been slow, and that she sure was hoping it picks up soon. I really hope more locals (and touristswill visit Mary and Robbs Westwood Cafe. You wont be disappointed!

Excellent service with all smiles! We arrived early on a Saturday morning, 8:30am. The restaurant now has indoor seating with permanent plexi glass dividers. All the staff wear masks and face shields.All customers must show proof of vaccination with IDs. I thanked them for this!We ordered two different scrambled egg dishes. I ordered the Turkey sausage and my friend ordered the Garden Scrambled. Utensils were presented in sealed paper bags. Ketchup, salt and pepper arrived in individual packets. My pot of tea was looseleaf and perfect.We paid for our meal at our table. The server came with a handheld credit card machine. It was easy and fast.I will definitely return here again! I suggest arriving early so you can get a table inside, if you want. Outside seating is available on their sidewalk. Free street parking until 10am on Westwood Blvd.

We came for mimosas and breakfast. My eggs Benedict came out wrong the first time as the English muffin was burnt but the staff immediately fixed it, apologized, and adjusted our bill. We had a good time. We will return.

The food was very good and the servers were friendly. However, service was quite slow when we were there - it was clearly understaffed and we had to wait far too long even just to get water and place our orders. For a lunch restaurant, I should be able to expect relatively quick service.

A neighborhood treasure. Old school dining, Ive been eating here since they opened four plus decades ago. Nothing fancy, just excellent home cooking, great value. Go!

Food was ABSOLUTELY AWESOME!!!Customer service was outstanding and the street view for outside dining was nice. An exceptional jewel in the Westwood area during our 1st experience in California!

This is literally the best breakfast burrito I have ever had. The tater tots were crisp inside and the bacon as well. No pre prepped food here. The pancakes have a wonderful aroma and taste. I ordered my burrito without Avacado add bacon. Eat here!!! Pico was fresh AF!

The waitresses were super sweet and attentive. Food was great I enjoyed the eggs Benedict. There were no leftovers. Tater tots were delicious as well.

Great food and customer service. The outdoor dining tables were all taken when we arrived and staff brought another table out so we would not have to wait. Really appreciated how attentive they were.

Great food, prompt service, charming and attentive hostess (maybe the namesake of the restaurant?If I have to come back to the area for work, hopefully I wont have to eat in my car on the street because the room has a great vibe and Id have loved to have sat at a booth to enjoy the great fresh-cooked breakfast dishes. But that is not the fault of the restaurant.

This place was excellent, loved the vibe and food. I wish I got the name of the waitress, she gave me a great recommendation for the French toast. Definitely need to go to this spot if you visiting for the first time.

Heard good things, so I guess I had my hopes up. Unfortunately, I was really disappointed in the food and the service. The corn beef hash I ordered was over salted and low quality. And the waitress seemed uninterested in answering questions about things on the menu.Denny’s is up the street; same quality food at lower price.

The food was so good. I took egg dish with fruits and bagel, and also a coffee. Perfect for a breakfast stop. The waiters were so nice.

Classy and delicious breakfast burrito. The service is pretty good, but one might find the quality somewhat varying. While mine was delicious, I watched others abandon full plates and leave even after their food going back to the kitchen to be fixed once. Im hoping that was a fluke, but...its hard to say

Super little breakfast nook! Been here for ages! Counter offers comfortable seating because it isnt high. No pressure to eat and get out either, even though they had a wait line. Waitress mentioned the cook had been there for 32 years. Dang! Thats a long time. My friend is extra particular about her food prep, nearly burned hash browns, super Crispy bacon, and over easy eggs. She said everything was perfect! Check it out. Note: theyve got some strange hours as I recall, closed on Sundays, I think, so verify before you go. Parking metered spot are free until 10am bonus!

Disappointing breakfast. Wanted to have a decent breakfast which was walking distance from where I was staying. I was going to go to a nearby chain, but wanted to try something local. I seen the price for the full breakfast online for $12.95. It turned out to be $13.95 and all I got was 2 small turkey sausages, eggs and 2 pancake. I was asked if I wanted ketchup but there was no potatoes on my plate! Complete rip off. My first water at the bar was a small cup, with no straw, no garnish. Fortunately another waitress took over and upsized it to a larger cup with lemon. If it wasn’t for her, I’d of given it a 1 Star. It’s a nice restaurant setting wise, but it was a waste of money on their breakfast.

Theres a woodsy feel here, with more seating than you would think. Theres mostly tables and a few counter seats. The menu is extensive, the service is alright, refills are pretty easy to come by. The prices are somewhat high for this type of place.I got the griddle platter, which is french toast or pancakes, 2 eggs and meat. Although this was made well and tasted good, the portion size was small for the price.

Its average tasting dinner style food in a nice and comfortable setting. Recently it seems prices went up. For 2 people ordering a standard 2 egg breakfast with 1 coffee and 1 small fresh OJ, Be prepared to pay 45-50.

Nice clean cafe. Good food at reasonable prices. My cappuccino was better than Starbucks or CB&TL. The servers were friendly. Very limited parking. The owner/cashier lady was not smiling enough. The jam spread on the table were Smuckers, the cheapest around.

My first experience and I really enjoyed it. Breakfast all day, and nice portions was definitely appealing. Its very diner-esque in appeal but its definitely a popular place that fills up later in the morning. Id definitely would come back because Im all about breakfast all day.

Mary and Robbs robbed my heart. Easily the best place for brunch if you are at or near Westwood. The waiters/waitresses are incredibly kind and lively. There was no wait when we arrived at 11am. The food was fantastic. Felt like a home cooked meal. My one caveat was the price of the mimosas but I will still return! Go to it!

Stayed at Hotel Angeleno; found this place while looking for a breakfast bite. Check this place out...you will not be disappointed. And chat it up with the locals...you never who you might run in to? Oh, check out the Turkey and egg breakfast sandwich...comes on a buttery crossiant.

Oh my! I cant believe I have lived so near this place, yet have never been here, nor seen it in the past. Just searched for good breakfast places one day and found this place on Yelp with very high reviews. Decided to try it and so glad I did.Their breakfast was great! The prices are so reasonable. The menu and the interior is like an old school diner. The service is excellent and fast! Everyone seemed very friendly. Im glad I discovered this place and Ill be frequenting their breakfast service for sure!

Great breakfast spot. The crowd is always a tad older (think very retired), but the service is consistent. The food is pretty standard deli food, but with a California healthy twist. They have great breakfast combos, and is definitely a good place to bring kids. Nothing shiny or new here, but that can be a comfort in LA sometimes.

Humble folk; humble food. Mary and Robbs is the perfect cafe.The service is admirable--waiters and waitresses are always asking how the meal is coming along. Normally, after two times, I would think "leave us alone, were eating." But something is different here--its very genuine. I feel well taken care of when dining here.Their food: I have never had anything here that I was not satisfied with. Great portions, great taste, great everything. If youre feeling frisky, get the chili omelette. And if you want to personally thank me, I accept cash.Enjoy.

Wonderful! Best French Toasts ever! And Im a VERY picky eater. great atmosphere, service, food, & great prices! And the turkey sausage is amazing! officially my favorite breakfast restaurant! And I do not live close, live in the south bay but total worth the drive!
