Carefully chosen, ethical, sustainable 'hero' ingredients from local suppliers with nutrition focus.
The cider was great and the food was alright but a bit pricy. It was rather empty but it was a great atmosphere and a funny evening. The waiters were very attentive and friendly.
Everything about this place is splendid! Great space, industrial design, delicious food and friendly staff. Perfect place for catch-ups and wee parties.
Loved it here, brought our dog.We had a lovely meal and the dog enjoyed treats and water from the dog bar.
We went to see the immersive version of Trainspotting which certainly captures the energised vibe of the original. Trainspottings a brilliant idea for an interactive production that engages with the audience, even going so far that the performers at times become and use the audience as a stage! Platform was the perfect place to set a film that bases itself in the club scene considering that Platform used to be the Arches. With large booming underground arches and, of course you wont spot any trains from down there, you can certainly hear them rumbling overhead. Trainspottings on until 16th Oct until they continue touring, so if you get the chance and it appeals, I found it awesome. A must see!
First time here, something for everyone. Lovely helpful staff. There to see Trainspotting, not for the fainthearted, but all cast were brilliant!!!
Great staff reasonable prices, clean, loads of room and tables, not cramped in - will be a regular go to for us now we have discovered it!
The food was actually pretty good. But as a venue it is missing something. There was a much better vibe when it was the food trucks in my opinion. All the arches with just lines of tables just feel like a canteen.
There was loads of space ideal for medium to large groups. The food was very reasonably priced and all tasty! Drink prices were also very reasonable. The toilets were clean, and service was spot on!
Great wee venue, intimate and excellent acoustics throughout the show, loved the bathroom too!
Large open bar, good selection of beers, really friendly and helpful staff. All in all a great place to start a night out in Glasgow.
Too much echo inside the premises causing the music to reverberate and sound like noise. Location under the central station is quite dirty to look at, though some might appreciate the historical relevance to the location.
Came here with friends for the weekend, lovely setting and atmosphere. Staff were very helpful.
This was sadly closed when we rocked up for a late lunch yesterday. It said it was open. I recommend you double check opening times before you go.
Delicious food and drinks. Maybe partook of a few cocktails!!
Hip place for youngsters! Very noisy otherwise. Good selection of beer and drinks. If young this is a place to go.
Food was great, good selection of drinking options and am enjoyable space to socialise in.
Excellent friendly service. Food was terrific, small plates so we all could share.
Always enjoyed this venue. We turned up and accidentally walked past someone who was meant to seat us but the place was empty and I had been in before so thought it would be ok to sit anywhere really, apparently not. Understandable though, COVID has changed things.Shame this place isnt the Arches though
I remember the food being much much better when it was the street food stalls rather than one menu. Not being able to order food on the app is awkward for large groups of friends when you need to pay upfront. Still a great place for drinks with friends in the city centre.
Only popped in for a drink and for the kids to have ice cream however have been in here many times before. Great food, drinks and atmosphere. Very much family friendly including dog friendly
Glasgow sneaker festival good selection of trainers, would have been better had it been more of a range other than Nike Jordons or Yeezys
Guitar player was very off the mood. Very depressing versions of famous songs. Staff and food were great but music could be better
Great food before seeing Stereo MCs next door. I had the chicken sliders and my mate the brisket tacos. Both were winners. So good I forgot to take photos. Desert was lovely too.Was my first time out in a while. And I really enjoyed it.Staff were excellent. Special mention to Kathryn the manager for offering to go out of her way for me.The gig venue next door will be familiar to most as the old Arches. Great venue for gigs.
I attended the Fleetwood Mac Disco gig on Saturday 7/5/22 they were excellent there was a good crowd and atmosphere. The whole ambience was perfect wish there was more gigs on . The drinks prices were priced reasonable for the town
Great place with a good atmosphere, great choice of food and drinks but staff behind bar dont know what they sell asked for 2 different beers told that they dont have them when they were in the fridge behind them would have been better if the toilets werent flooded too
Its a pretty cool place. I thought it was all sorts of street food stalls, but dur to covid youre just put at a table and order off a menu. Theres not as many options for food as I thought there would be, but the options were quite unique. We went on a Saturday afternoon and it wasnt very busy which I liked, but meant there wasnt much of an atmosphere. They had an average selection of beer on draft with quite a lot of Williams and Innes and Gunn options. A lot more bottled options. Overall its not a bad place to go in town, bit Id probably say Dockyard Social is a cooler place to go for an afternoon of day drinking.
Incredible place! Probably the best Ive been to in Glasgow so far! The food is amazing and they have really good vegan/vegetarian options as well! The drinks might seem a bit pricey at first, but once you try them, youll wanna go for second, third round and so on! The staff are super nice and really friendly and the place itself has a really cool vibe with great music and atmosphere!Go check this place out! You will have the best time!
Some of the staff I encountered were incredibly rude and unprofessional. Very disorganised and unhelpful. I ordered food for a specific time, hours in advance, only to turn up and nobody having any knowledge about it. I was then forced to leave and eat my food (when it finally arrivedelsewhere as the tables had been "booked" despite counting over 30+ available tables. There was a rugby match on so apparently were busy, even though I repeatedly stated I would be there 10 mins, in which time Im certain there would be most, if not all of the tables then free still available.Happy to take your money but dont care to actually offer anywhere to eat and drink.Dont recommend.
Fantastic experience for Octoberfresh. Food was good, beer was good, atmosphere was good, German Oompah band were brilliant!
Salt n chilli squid was amazing along with the Kimchi hash. Servers were polite and friendly would definitely visit again.
Organised coming here for a stag do and its safe to say everyone in the party loved it. Weather was cracking so we were seated outside and despite some teething with payments (and unruly stag behaviourthe service was excellent and the manager on the day was simply fantastic. The venue itself is truly unique, plenty of space and a great selection of drinks. Shout-out to the food as well which surpassed all our expectations, particularly as we expected some fairly standard pub grub. Will be back here again and would recommend any size group check it out.
Had a really good lunch in platform, the place is very spacious and could easily fit a table for two up to a group of ten.The menu was very interesting, offering Spanish and Korean foods. The sweet and spicy boneless chicken bites were very tasty and the fries a good snack. The drinks menu is extensive, with teas and coffee to draught beers. Would happily sit here for the day and sample the drinks and food menu, a very pleasant experience.
Went in on a weekday, me, my girlfriend, and our baby. Our waiter was super accomodating and friendly, and the chef went to extra effort for our babys needs.Excellent service, lovely food, reasonable prices. We had literally no money for a tip, for which I am still embarrassed. So if our waiter ever reads this, I am sorry and you really were appreciated.
Really chilled, cool vibe. Great food menu. Amazing location.
Staff were great and the cocktails are nice. Unfortunately when I went with a group of friends our backs hurt because there was no backing to the chairs. Cocktails were nice and very strong
Visited Platform yesterday and got some indoor seats no problem. All covid guidelines were being followed carefully by the staff and the tables were well spaced out.Table service was in place and the staff were good at making sure you had enough to drink. There were a few members in circulation the whole time we were there and we were asked frequently if we needed anything, which is great! There were Innis & Gunn beers on tap plus some guest taps. They also had Rekorderlig cans on offer.Food wise, we tried a portion of the Buffalo cauliflower wings, it was a huge portion and they were really tasty. We liked the venue and found the atmosphere nice and chilled.
Fantastic find..... Hidden away beneath Central Station, this architectural gem is the ideal place for a pint. The staff were lovely.
Socially distanced, informal, drinks and food can be ordered on the app for an at seat service too. Good for groups, and they have an outdoor bit too now
Good service despite the poor weather. Friendly staff. The draught selection is OK, plenty of wine (highly pricedand the espresso martini was great. Not all tables outside have protection from the rain. The tables inside are spaced well apart. Loved the food menu, plenty of choice and very tasty. The card machine system is very slow to work, took 10-15 minutes to make a payment so something to bear in mind if its busy. Dug friendly.
Fab food, did an early evening walk-in waiting for commuter time to be over for the train. Very tasty beef goan curry (pictured)
Well got to try Platform at last and wasnt disappointed, plenty of tables to get sat down and try a few different dishes from different vendors washed down with a pint of mango to the sky ipa... worth a visit if in area.
Fantastic selection of food, In a space that accommodates a range of clientele from families to those heading on a night out. The music was slightly too loud to allow comfortable conversation.
First time at Platform and loved it! Fantastic choice of food with stalls selling pizza, burgers, kebabs, pasta dishes, seafood dishes, Japanese and more! I went for a shawarma myself and it was delicious. Finished with ice cream and a salted caramel brownie with chocolate sprinkles and a drizzle of chocolate sauce...scrum-diddly-umptious ๐There was also a plentiful amount of vegan options and all the cutlery and packaging (vegwareI used was environmentally friendly which is great to see!The place is also huge and looks like a great place to go before heading out if you are going to be going out in town! Looking forward to going back ๐
A cool place with almost a perpetual festival vibe with its food stalls and big screens for the rugby. Beer was very nice, as was the food. Dog friendly with a wee dog bar!Negative is the price. Blooming heck its not cheap! Seriously - ยฃ8 for a shawarma wrap... They were also totally unprepared for how popular theyd be for the rugby... But perhaps theyll be better next time.Totally worth it for a treat but wouldnt become my regular.
Such a great use of an otherwise dark and dingy set of arches under Glasgow Central Station.Rotating food stalls serving a massive selection of grub, all that Iโve tried have been magnificent.Inexpensive bar too with millions of seats.Dog friendly too ๐๐ผ
Ex night club turned into an interesting drink and food place. Socialising spot right in the city centre. There are a few "vans" with different street food - unusual flabours and foods. Lots to chose from! The shawarma is the best! There is a Big bar with a great selection of beers, wines and cocktails, a bit overpriced though.Dogs friendly. There is a small playground for children as well.Spacious, very good for gathering of big groups.
Been a few times now. Tasty food so far from all the vendors. Good atmosphere. A good selection of quieter spots to sit in too.And the wee market inside is fun too
Amazing atmosphere, great food, excellent mix of items on sale. Will be there often.Loved the Italian outlet. X
A variety of culinary delights on offer in a very unique environment. There is a large play space for children and many benches, so no fear of.not getting a space. I highly recommend a visit.
A large underground event space. This is a review for Platform, a regular weekend street food event. Platform is a welcome new addition to the Glasgow food scene (see FB page). It is child and dog friendly. Platform is a great place to get food and a drink after shopping or work. Unlike other street food events, the location is central and easy to get to. It appears popular for groups and dates, although it can get quite loud. The food and drink vendors are turning out a variety of deliciousness. Its a large space and it was crowded when we went on a Friday night. We loved the thin crust pizza with Scottish smoked venison and pea shoots -- a great value and big enough to share. Rapscallion is turning out world class craft sodas and cocktails from a giant orange.
