Knife party was epic. I was denied re-entry after smoking a cigarette with one more hour left. I guess because I was the only black person there and the white people was threatened by me being there.Security at the door said "it was time for me to leave" and not given a reason why. The only black person having too much fun mustve been upsetting to management and all the white women.A white male bartender did give me free water.I could barely move. The dance floor in front of the dj was jammed packed. The black guy(mewas elated at the notion of finally seeing 1 of my top 5 edm djs for the first time in my life and denied re-entry completely ruined the entire night and year. Thanks to ALL the staff at the MARQUEE for making me want to blindly walk into NY traffic to unalive myself.The bathroom on the first floor was clean and the attendant was cool. When I went to use bathroom on the 2nd floor I was only allowed less than 1 minute by the staff guarding the door and he was adamant at stating "NO #2s". That is the 2nd most ridiculous statement I heard while being there.

Always a bit too packed, drinks are expensive even by nyc standards. Acoustics aren’t great which is annoying when you have so many top DJs playing here

Regularly sells tickets for artists who aren’t actually there - get ready to listen to their horrible in house DJ play biggie smalls for five hours. Drinks are over priced ~25 for a basic mixed drink. Overcrowded. Security is rude. Looking today and they claim Claptone is coming next week - yea right. Check his website - he is not.

Only giving it a 2 stars because their sound and light production is good. Everything else about this club is horrendous. Over priced and about the size of a closet that they over sell every time. Good luck if you need to use the bathroom as well

Staff/security inside the building is extremely rude, (not the once on the doorthey want to seem like a bunch of tough guys. Bartender is a great tho

Went for Steve Aoki the other night. Performance was good but crowd was weak. No dancing :(…Been before for Tchami and it was way better. Crowd is too packed as usual tho.

Note: This is a review for the overall club scene in NYC.Marquee - If you purchased a ticket for an event, you should have no issues in getting in. The club itself, is rather small but consider the larger venues in NYC.Lineup that Marquee attracts can be god awful bad to be somewhat decent. Overall, NYC club scene has gone downhill. All the top artists have move outside the city to perform.Look to Brooklyn to see where the fun is at.

went for the afrojack afterparty during electric zoo, overall a fun atmosphere just packed a little too tight to be comfortable

Went there last week on Thursday to see Steve Aoki, and on Friday to see Deadmou5, what a contrast. I know that the only way to really enjoy these clubs is to get the table service, but for single guy to drop 2 grands on table service for two hours show is not worth it, so have to stick to general admission. Thursday was enjoyable, there was a fairly empty space at the back close to the bar, where I could be not a sardine in the pack. Friday was a nonsense, they filled that space with tables, and probably oversold the whole place by at least a hundred of people. There were no buffer zones at the bars, and no clear pathway to the bathrooms, so people had to work their elbows and step on feet to get to essential places of the club. I understand that general admission is the lowest of the lowest for the owners, and there is a big desire to extort a maximum profit from each square foot of space, but there should be some reasonable limits to how much you can pack the space. General admission should provide you at least a space to stand without being pushed and shoved and stepped on all the time, which was clearly not the case on Friday. Not my idea of enjoying the show, but maybe its just me. Been in quite a few clubs, never had an experience like this, felt like a stampede hazard at the times. BTW, tickets or no tickets go through the same line to enter the club, despite what owners say here. Line was not long though

I wouldn’t recommend this place to my worst enemy. Not only does is get too crowded, since they obviously only care about money & pack as many people in there as possible, but it was filled with the most vile and rude people you could ever imagine who were pushing and shoving with no care. There was a point I actually felt unsafe from both the people who were there and the amount of them. To top this place my friends’ phone got stolen by one of those horrible people I was talking about and the staff couldn’t care less. So tbh unless you want to have the worst experience ever DON’t GO, New York has much better places to offer.

The worst staff ever!! Terrible! Plus there tables are boring, the girls don’t even dance! Only come for the famous dj’s and out! Expensive drinks too if u don’t have a table where you’ll have to stay there with the promoter! There’s better way to have fun!

had an amazing experience, we went there for Swedish House Mafia concert/ after party, it was lit, there was a different dj playing before SHM came in and it was amazing, the place opens at 11 pm, there were a lot of people. the place is a bit small but enough, great experience, there are 2 floors and both floors has bar also there is seating area, booking tables.we got the tickets online, I would suggest to take the tickets early or online because right there it is very expensive. but great staff and amazing vibe. love it definitely visiting again.

Scammers. Beware of this club! They brought out the wrong bottle for us and overcharged us by 2500. I understand if someone was trying to nickel and dime their establishment but they wouldnt correct their error even after we hit double our minimum for our table. Ive never seen a club have such disregard for their customers...

Worst experience ever. Friends and I bought tickets ahead of time to see Cash Cash and no where on their website does it say there’s a dress code. We completely understand if there’s a dress code, but we already bought our tickets and gave this club our money. Bouncers were very rude when telling us we weren’t dressy enough to get in. They least they could do is tell us how to get our refunds. Don’t come here!Also, I find it ridiculous that you want people to dress in heels and slacks at a freaking rave. Don’t host raves if you don’t even understand rave culture.

Horrible place, over crowded and staff is rudeeeeI got pushed by a bottle waitress so pushed her back and of course I was the one who got kicked out which was fine since I was on my way out anyway but extremely rude staff! Do NOT recommend!

Saw Cedric July 1st. Very good time. Drink prices are a little high, dress code is upscale, and music was very good. Wish the dance floor was a little bigger

I do not recommend this club. The security was extremely touchy and they had illogical rules. They appeared to not like men, as they kicked several out. If you do attend, please go with a large crowd and many friends.

Have been going here for many years and is still my #1 go to spot in the city. Always a good time. Don’t expect to get in or pay a fair price if you do not purchase tickets in advance or show up after midnight. Yes the drinks are pricey but this is New York so that is expected. Pro tip get your drink on BEFORE you get in or else you will spend a small fortune to get Lit. The staff is generally pleasant however there is the occasional rude bouncer but lets face it security is NOT there for customer service but address security issues so that is to be expected. The DJ rotation and line up is very good and it does get crowded based on who is performing and YES that is also expected it is a business and they are there to sell tickets to make money not keep the place empty. Final thoughts I will recommend this place if you are willing to have an upscale venue to enjoy the electronic dance nightlife in NYC….

Easily the rudest crew of bartenders under a single roof in NYC. Club was also overpacked (welcome to NYC). Lots of pushing and no where to sit unless you had a vip table.

I love the venue, cool DJs come thru here, lots of interesting ppl roll up and get bottles.. however the vibe post pandemic is straight up HOSTILE. A club is all about vibes, good vibes to boot.. but I felt like I entered the twilight zone due to staff. The old school ballers are no longer coming in cuz they know that it’s not the same. Lots of new posers and wannabes that think they’re “ballin” by splitting a table with 12 of their douchiest frat bros. C’mon give me a break. Girls are pretty cool though, met more girlfriends than any other club.The staff here thinks they run or own the place. Disgusting attitudes from door to attendants inside. They don’t know how to respect ANYONE that doesn’t wash their hands if you know what I mean. They want a tip to treat you humanely. I’ve never experienced bad treatment from such staff before, hostile for no reason.

Writing this review with bias, as I was lucky enough to find a promoter outside and me and my friends got in for free. We were brought up to the VIP section and it was so perfect. However, not everyone received this treatment. Theyre particular with what you look like, and the men with us paid 80$ to get in. Its nice to be treated well but at the end of the day they only care about good looking women coming in. Really unreasonable for the rest.

WORST VENUE!!!! Ordered a booth and was charged for a full night bottle service even through there were only 2 hours remaining until closing time. Management would not provide a negotiated rate. To add to it we were positioned in a terrible location with people from other booth sections flooding into our section. The worst money spent in my lifetime was at this venue. Our bartender kept disappearing and avoiding our section. This location should not be functioning, it is the opposite of a hospitable venue. This is a venue that takes advantage of patrons and is only in favour of their pockets. DO NOT SPEND YOUR MONEY AT THIS VENUE!!!!!

A cool venue no doubt, lights and effects for the DJ were fun. However they have you packed in there like sardines, you can’t even move to dance.

Went to Marquee for seeing DJ W&W for the first time. I had a blast and the staffs were kind surprisingly.

Horrible place to go out. Security is insane and treats women horribly. I have never been treated like that in my life, especially after buying tickets to an event. While the bathroom attendant and bartenders were very nice everything was especially overpriced (even for NYC). There are so many better places to go in the city.

Worst and the most rude bartender on this planet! We asked him for water he threw water on us. I asked him to give me water at room temperature and no ice. He threw water bottles on the table and showed a lot of EGO AND ATTITUDE. WHY THE HELL IS HE BEING PAID IF HE CANNOT DO A SIMPLE JOB. MOST INCOMPETENT AND RUDE PERSON I HAVE EVER COME ACROSS AT A BAR. ALSO CURSES AT PEOPLE. FIRE HIM!!!!!?

Extremely crowded - you end up spending your entire night getting pushed or having drinks spilled on you.Coat check accepts cash only and is $5. When I asked to get my coat back they took a long time trying to find it, as they had confused the tickets and made me sign a “lost item form” for their own mistake. Then blamed ME for having the wrong ticket number in hands (?????). Worst service ever.

I would actually give them no STARs. I was from out of town. I was escorted out of the club after paying $129 for me and two others. without being told why, we wasnt there for even an hour. I believe the club is a place to have fun. We didnt get a chance to buy a drinks. I really didnt understand why. I would not recommend this place to my friend or worst enemy.

If you are a party person and you are in New York, you should definitely visit this night club. Good ambience, good music and great vibe. But be mindful, it’s quite pricey.

My friends and I had a terrible experience a couple of weeks ago with the club manager and bouncers. I was willing to pay over the minimum for a group of Hispanics and he told me he "didnt have time for us" as he proceeded to let other people in. Only because we were waiting for the rest of our party to arrive. It felt insensitive and racist, very unprofessional for an establishment. So many other options in NYC.

The security guard won’t let my friend in who is 25 years old and had a valid state id. They won’t scan the id and say it seems fake. Nobody would answer our question. They ignored when we were trying to ask who can help us. I had the worst experience of my life in this club.

Marquee Nightclub in New York City attracts celebrities, world-class DJs and partygoers from all over the globe. I visited for the Dvbbs performance!!!! I had a really good time. The place was very crowded! We were packed in like sardines.

The place is fun and has a good vibe. The night I was there, the music seemed too aggressive for my taste, but it’s a matter of preference. The dress code is not extreme: as long as you show up decently it’s fine. It’s recommended to buy tickets in advance.

I went with friends and the security guard didnt let us in just because I didnt have a passport photo, but I did have my ID and proof of vaccination. The truth is Ive been there many times and that had never happened to me just by having my ID and proof of vaccination. They have let me in on other occasions but yesterday it was the opposite and then the workers are very unprofessional they shouldnt treat customers like that and I lost about 7 tickets because of them

The bouncers were surprisingly sweet and the drinks were surprisingly expensive for whatever it is. It’s a beautiful club though, the crowds were mainly young people (early twenties), but it could be just the night we went to). They invite some good djs, especially when it closes to the end of the year. Definitely coming back, but I’ll have drinks elsewhere because heading there.

I went here for my birthday with a group of friends. Early in the night, the table next to us was starting to overcrowd us and sit on our table. I kindly asked them to give us more space, but instead of being considerate, the gentleman who was sitting at the neighbouring table pushed me as hard as he could to the floor. I hit the table next to me and bottles / glasses went everywhere. By the time I stood up, the bouncers had dragged ME (not the other guyout of the club. When I tried to explain what had happened to the bouncers, they did not care nor did they want to listen. My friends confirmed to me later that the gentleman on the table next to us was the owner of Marquee who apparently is known to be a thug. I couldn’t believe it! The owner should be sued for attacking me. You just do not treat people like this - especially a customer paying $2000. Worst birthday ever. The owner and his staff are so unprofessional I cannot understand how this place has not been closed down yet.

I’ve only need here on week nights for concerts and let me tell you the drinks are $$$ which is to be expected but they should lower them if they are going to pack this many people in there so you have a shot at having a good time. Literally wall to wall people not even a square inch to dance. I’m an avid club and rave goer and it was ridiculous. The ONLY reason it’s not getting less stars is because the staff is super nice. The security, and bartenders were super sweet. Other then that picture Astroworld in a room with fog.

It’s true that the drinks are overpriced: we spent $60 (not including tipfor 3 basic drinks (2 vodka sodas & a rum and coke).The lights, sound, and effects are cool. Came here to see DJ Snake and it was a blast! It was just super tight, pushy, and crowded — more than what you would expect, even in a club setting!

Drinks are incredibly overpriced, staff is extremely aggressive and rude, people push non stop, always crowded, your drinks will be spilled, crowd is terrible. Avoid at all costs regardless of the good Djs.

Nice club and top act!We visited the club for Cat Dealers. Their performance was amazing and the location was perfect for it. To have a better understanding of our recommendation - we are from Switzerland and in our mid 20ties. We really liked the kind of people who were there - everyone was friendly and there was a peaceful atmosphere. I hoped that the guests are not too overdressed and luckily, they werent. I wore black pants and a regular shirt (no highheels or dress).Unfortunately, the drinks are overpriced and absolutely disgusting. The prosecco and therefore also the Aperol Spritz was terrible. The staff was also not the friendliest. Nevertheless, a good experience!

Came here for an electric zoo after party and ordered my tickets ahead of time. Security and Bar staff were rude to me and my girlfriend. No place to sit unless you have a vip booth or table. Overpriced entry and overpriced drinks for poor service. Would definitely avoid this place in the future.

I think it is one of the under rated clubs of New York. The place is really nice and they bring some great artists occasionally. Went over there last month for Alan walker and the night turned out to be super amazing. The crowd is also great comparing to most of the other clubs.Their lighting and set up also seemed to be really good. You can get a wide range of personal care product in the washroom, which seemed a nice gesture to me.The only thing that people can complain is their price for drinks. Which seemed slightly high, but I think it’s supposed to be like that in these clubs.

This is a really fun club to see some big name EDM acts. The bass is SO loud, youll still be feeling it in your head 2 days later (bring earplugs if you care about saving your hearing). The light set-up and DJ booth are decent, and most of the tables are at the back and so they dont interfere with the dance floor. Had a great time dancing here, and really felt like the DJs were able to put on a great show in the space.That being said, this is an expensive/highly transactional club - similar to most/all clubs from the Tao Group, so it has everything that comes with that. Money talks in this club - expect to pay $19 for a single basic cocktail, have the high-rollers from the table service booths cut ahead of you the bathroom lines, semi-aggressive bathroom attendants with their hands out for tips, the whole 9 yards.They also really pack the dance floor, and at the peak of the evening, it can be hard to even move. But its fun - if youre in the right mindset.

Loud luxury are the best DJs to ever play this club. Club is good. Bass so loud your ancestors will feel it.

I have a love/hate relationship with the sponsor of this establishment, Tao Group. They run clubs that generally rely on the outdated business model of driving maximum revenue from attending men. They employ promoters to corral young women to try to entice men to accept overpriced tables and drinks. Sometimes the women are hot, but its a highly transactional, degrading business model. People frequently have friction with employees, such as the bouncers, who are tasked with enforcing this proposition.This is one of the lower class clubs in Taos stable. The upshot is they sometimes have good music acts. Still, the problem is that when a music act is good, theyll uncomfortably pack the club so assume any movement, such as dancing, will be hindered. There are good clubs in Manhattan, but this is not one of them. As a local, I feel its unfortunate that places like this make Manhattan seem scummy and tip the hat towards Brooklyn.

The only upscale thing about this club is prices. I went there for 2020th New Years Eve to see DJ Kaskade performance . Everything beside the music and special effects was pretty disappointing. It felt like the club was filled multiple times over its capacity. Security was pushing people like an animals to get by. I’ve never got myself a drink or used a bathroom simply because it was to tight to move through the dance floor. And yes , I’m aware that New Years Eve night is tough and crowd can be unpredictable. However , you can definitely control how many people let inside the venue and how to treat guests properly to make them feel at least semi welcome . 3 out of 5 just for good music .

Very cool experience. Nice staff, the DJs were awesome(Morden Machine and Tritonaland the people were electric. We love this place way better than Lavo.

Great club with stunning dance floor. Smaller back bar area with booths and appreciate the storage for bags and purses so we could dance! Drinks were ok. Music mix was good. Definitely a fun club to hit up if you know a promoter.
