The food was good but not same before .
Do not eat here!!What a rip off! Small portions and like high Michelin star prices! Total cost of the meal £187!Example:A can of 7-up was £3!4 x small pasty sambousex was £14!!After eating here, the next day its given me a bad stomach! Restaurant looked dirty. Staff unprofessional.Better places to eat! Do not go here unless you wanna be ripped off or have diarrhoea!!
MoreThe food was great, however Id have liked there to have been a little more on the plate. Definitely not clear in the menu as what to expect. The mango juice was delicious. The restraunt is laid out as youd expect, the did seem to have quite a high turnover of customers being a fairly quick meal. The paper table mat was nice but smelt strongly of chemical.Staff were polite and helpful, service was a little slow, but still fairly good for such a small restraunt. There is a step up into the main door, and toilets are downstairs. Not the best for access to thoes with access needs. There are a small number of outdoor tables available.
MoreHad the most delicious food I’ve eaten in London here. Authentic and fresh ! Busy night but Anwar (serverwent above and beyond our expectations. Will travel back from Canada to eat here again ! Garlic and hot sauce with shish tawook was on point !
MoreThe worst food ever smal portion dry and trestles and the price very expensive for the price I could have dine in mechelen restaurants
MoreLove this place. Food is fresh and tasty
Decent enough quality but a pathetic amount of food for a nearly £20 dish which is essentially a few bits of grilled meat and some raw onion thrown on a plate with no attempt to make it look nice. At least make some effort otherwise I might as well go to a kebab shop… Service was quick but depending on the waiter - some where miserable and didn’t smile or care. Food tasted good, pricing point was just wrong and made it seem very overpriced and average.
MoreService is ok... They need more waiters. You will call them in 3 times for salt, tissue paper, and spoons, but the food is so good.
MoreThis place is the best! The food is excellent and fresh.
Fantastic food and service. Loved it!
They did not have ketchup sadly
Best place for shawarma wraps. The wrap is packed with flavour and sauce. Must try ! ... also amazing customer service
MoreLondon prices or just a massive rip-off.The latter im afriad. We passed so many Arabic restaurants cafes and in the end walked into this place. We order trying to be Conservative with prices that are high for either cost of living or London prices.Lets put it into prospective 3 cans of pop cost £10.50. Yes £10.50.I realised that this is not a cost of living price but an absolute rip off. This place saw us coming from a mile away and readied the menus that are probably for people like us.One waiter was overbearing and leachy. Being inappropriate. The bill should be no more than £35-45. For what we ate.Disgraceful place. Never to return and venture into a Lebanese cafe/restaurant.
MoreOne of the best Shawerma in London! It combines the Syrian and the Lebanese taste of Shawerma. We enjoyed our sandwiches. The garlic is also great and tasty. Staff are so kind. Recommend it.
MoreQuite tight sitting area not enough space especially during covid and distance from other tables. But the waiter was very helpful to get us seated and arranged room for newborn and missus for feeding time. Price is expected as central Lonfon high but yummy food nonetheless. They should add Arabic music to the restaurant would make the experience better
MoreIve been to Maroush with my family many times in the past, have enjoyed the food and atmosphere, never had any complaints or issues. But our recent visit there have completely changed my mind about this place. The food is tasteless and bland. Shawerma chicken, which is supposed to be chicken breast only, was full of fat pieces and clearly other parts of the chicken. Meat shawerma was not better than the chicken one. Shish tawook had unchewable chicken pieces. Overpriced for a plate full of fat pieces. The seating area has massively changed, not in a good way unfortunately.Ive given two stars only because the staff were nice and friendly. All in all, this place has gone down hill and the visit was such a disappointment. Definitely not going there again.
More10/10 love this place so much! The food is delicious and the portions are generous!
MoreAbsolutely love the very well cooked meat and chicken. Food is all well done, fresh, and staff working there are very polite, professional and friendly.Beautiful place for all, also have an outside seating area with heaters.Very good prices in a lovely and lively Edgware road London.I would recommend it to all. Also very clean and spacious.
MoreFood was delicious and we had a nice waiter however it is quite overpriced which makes sense I guess due to the location however the portion size is awful, needs to be much more and isn’t nearly enough for one person. Quite disappointed as I came here a few years ago and the portion sizes were better. - The Food Dragon
MoreWhat fantastic food, plenty of flavour, variety, full of mouth-watering tastes and all freshly cooked. Friendly and helpful staff (and can have a doggy bag, if eyes are larger than stomach)! Brought back so many memories of food from years working in the Middle East. Great atmosphere and well worth trying, looking forward to returning next time in London.
MoreUnfortunately we tried today marouch express and it wasnt a pleasant idea. The quality of food is not good. Meat shawrma is chewing and it has a lot of not fresh pieces. And when yiu tell the staff, they dont care. Not recommended!
MoreVery nice place to dine and had some live entertainment the night i was there. I found the food pretty basic to be honest. Service was alright.
MoreWent there today as we use to go to maroush back in the days , too sad to see the quality of food they serve . It was completely burnt and taste less . We went for mix grill trust my 2 year old wouldve made better food then what they served us . Had to leave the food and place .
MoreLove the shawarma, especially the chicken one. The taste is authentic and as good as shawarma Ive eaten in various parts of the middle East. Takeaway service is very quick and efficient. Highly recommended!
MoreTravelling from Birmingham and to dine here was the mistake of me and my friends, the mix grill portions was so small, it wouldn’t fill up a teenager, service was terrible. Would only recommend here if you want to be robbed broad daylight with extortionate pricing and the minimal kids meal left over meat servings they slap on your plate with no presentation at all. 0/5 wouldn’t recommend to no one.
MoreI just ordered for chicken shawarma which wasn’t bad. Tabouleh which had no olive oil nor Bulgur. Humous smells really bad, the cooked chicken peas on it seems sour... there was no olive oil on it as well. I always feel reluctant to add reviews, however very quintessential in this case. I was so disappointed with the overall quality of food delivered. Low quality, definitely not fresh and overpriced. I tried calling the office to complain, yet no one picked up.
MoreInitially was very impressed. Then came to order. We ordered 2 set menus to share between 3 people but recieved one set of food and were forced to pay £70 for £35 worth of food. We waited over an hour for our main. When it came we had one lamb shank to share between 3 although we had ordered 2 set menus. When we queried this we were told "well you pay for the dancer" . Customer service was shoddy. Food was old, stale and barely cooked. Either it was a bad day at the office or this place is overhyped. I wouldnt waste my time or money.
MoreReally bad experience, the food was so cold, not even slightly warm and disgusting, how can you eat cold charcoal grilled meat ??? I left all the plate. Even the bread was hard as a rock. They even tried to charge me for some drinks I never received, really ? and a service charge where there was absolutely no service provided at all. They only time we talked to them was to give our orders, does that qualify as a service charge billed at 6£ ?? I don’t understand how they have this high rating, it’s beyond me.
MoreThe fat manager was moody & very rude as I entered with a group of 7 he told me they do not sell wraps which I didnt even ask for or intend to order. I let that slide as I was ordering the first waiter seemed okay & quite helpful but then came the fat old man & he told that the mixed grill for 2 people was only for 1 person. Really bad customer service & arrogance. I will not be eating here. Later on I spent £80 in al dar restaurant nearby which was a much more friendlier experience.
MoreWorst eating out experience ever !!!Take your patronage somewhere it’s appreciated. These people don’t care about the food or the servicethey provide. They are only interested in your money. Our food was raw & bland, the rice was burnt and hard like small grains of rock.Shocking how they getaway with this, specially in this day in age. When we brought it to their attention they brought some more rice & few pieces of lamb which was tasteless. Not one apology from the staff.Just left the table paid the bill & walked out.Horrible.Never again. This was a family of four including two kids.We were all equally angry with our self for going in there.Don’t waste your time & money in this place.
MorePaid £23.96 to Groupon for two people , which included starter and main plus 1 glass of wine or 1 beer. Service was good. Starter came with main but that was fine with us. The main portions were big which came with bread and dips.Belly dancer was very entertaining and didnt mind being photographed. Great value for money.
MoreGood food and delicious Kebabs. Do not recommend the drink based on yorgut, salt and herbs. Its traditional Arabic drink but didnt like it.The service was not that fast and took some time to get our order and check.Good value for money though.
MoreI went there last night for a work xmas party . Staff were very attentive, food was delicious and authentic. The first lady who sang western songs live had a beautiful voice and then after we had a live band with belly dancers who were excellent. The dancefloor was a little small and it would have been nice to have a mix of music towards the end. But generally a lovely place to eat and be entertained.
MoreWhat a magical night, i have head so much about Maroush chain restaurants but had never been. Was feeling extremely hungry as I arrived and was not disappointed. I was full to the point i had to unbutton my belt. The food was tender, moist and cooked perfectly. The live music was hilarious as the lady and gent singing got all the diners involved in the fun also. Will definitely be returning, thank you Maroush.
MoreParticular must-eats are the hummus, falafel, rice dishes, and grilled meats. The staff were friendly and professional and made us very welcome. Family friendly Lebanese restaurant, with live music and belly dancing at night. As we had not been to this restaurant before. To finish we were presented with a huge fruit bowl containing pineapple, melon, apples. We felt welcomed and would return again.
MoreOK. Booked a meal for 20 guests. Could have been alot smoother in terms of service. Lighting was poor which meant the venue seemed very, very dark. Understaffed (although our waitress did do a good job). Food was actually good quality however.
MoreWe sat downstairs and you cant choose what you want to order. There is this £35.5 menu with only meet for the main. The portion are too small per person. None of use ate the main, it didnt look good at all. The side was rice sink into a smelly lamb sauce. It worth £10. The live music was really good, thats why i gave 2 stars
MoreDelicious! Great spot for a client dinner or first date. Nice and high class environment but with a fun tropical twist. Food was absolutely delicious and staff was so attentive and very concerned that we were comfortable.
MoreNot sure what was wrong with the waiter; very grumpy and impatient. I asked for a refill of our (plasticcups of water. There was a slight huff and complaint about being busy, but eventually they picked up the two cups and walked off. 10 minutes later still no water. I had to ask a second waiter for water which was served in plastic cups. The food… is it normal for the dishes to be heavy in tomato and incredibly watery?? There was barely any meat in my dish, it was packed full of vegetable and watery tomato flavored sauce. I counted maybe 6 pieces of meat… yes, 6 small pieces of meat in a £16 dish.I would have rated it 1 star but the starter (spicy sausagewas decent (although definitely missing spice).Im not sure if I came on a bad night or if the food and experience is genuinely always like this. Never again.
MoreAmazing food! Looked the place up on maps while on holiday in London. Hummus was fresh, and the lamb shwarma is hands down in if the nest things I have EVER eaten. Great food for a great price, nice atmosphere. Highly recommend!
MoreAbsolutely WONDERFUL food! We had the tagine and mixed grill and the meat was beautifully spiced, with the lamb being the most tender delicious pieces of lamb I have ever eaten. If you have the opportunity to eat here, take it, and dont be put off by the price as it is definitely worth it! The staff were wonderful and gave us a free plate of food as well as being extremely attentive to all the people at our table.
MoreVery nice place for an evening meal. They offer variety of dishes , salads etc.Chicken liver shouldnt be missed at any cost, one of the best you will ever have.Prices are not bad as per the location, this place can be busy at times and might have to wait a bit but its worth waiting.Been here few times and experience was amazing every time.
MoreExceptional food and great service. 4 of us had mixed grills and a bottle of the house red with hummous and breads and were more than satisfied. Tasty Lebanese food with great flavours and spices brought to us swiftly by polite waiting staff who were very friendly. Very happy we found this place!
MoreFantastic authentic fresh food!Chargrilled chicken was outstanding and the atmosphere, live music and belly dancer were very enjoyable - we all had a lot of fun. Staff is very friendly, portions very generous and prices affordable for London. If you have not tried Lebanese food before, this is a great place to start.
MoreThe food is delicious, flavorful and cooked to perfection. The price is quite high, but for such good food, it is reasonable. Would recommend a visit to Maroush bakery after eating to get some tea and dessert. The restaurant has a nice environment, and is suitable for families, or for formal dining. Would recommend to anyone willing to spend quite a bit of cash.
MoreHad a table for 4. Sat night. Very welcoming an polite staff all throughout. Very poor portions for the food (enough for 2, but definitely not for 4). Belly dancing excellent, so was the atmosphere. Will go to Turkish belly dancing restaurant next.
MoreMaroush is a great place for groups to go to and share some awesome food. I went as part of a group of three in the downstairs area which is very spacious and has a welcoming atmosphere. The food was excellent and the portions were plentiful, ideal for sharing! There was entertainment on the (Fridayevening when we visited involving a lady singing classics in a kind of Jazz style and involving the guests on occasion. It was an interesting twist on a normal meal for sure but not intrusive, we all enjoyed ourselves. I definitely recommend Maroush and Im sure we will visit again!
MoreGreat, authentic food. The lamb was cooked to perfection and the rice was flavourful. The waitress gave us a complimentary bowl of various fruits and baklava. The price is reasonable & the atmosphere is lively & clean. Highly recommend.
MoreHad a great evening out with friends. The decor and ambience added to the experience. My favourite bit was when the lounge singer belted out all those classic hits. She came over and made some of us duet with her. Our waiter was extremely friendly and very helpful. The food was good but could have been much better. We made the mistake of ordering a lot of starters (including hummus). That is perhaps one reason why we didnt eat the main courses. The meat was well cooked and everything was just divine.
MoreBeautiful place , went for my friends birthday dinner. Staff is really friendly and helpful. Amazing belly dancers. Great ambience.Just make sure you read about the food in menu in small italics and confirm with staff to avoid disappointment l. I had the fish for main course with rice and it was amazing. :)Cant wait to visit again
