Family-run joint showcasing a mix of homestyle Lebanese & Armenian dishes in modest surrounds.
Great food, especially enjoyed the vegetarian combination. The hummus, baba ghanoush, and tabbouleh were the highlights.
Its a great place! So friendly, and the food is amazing. Deserves more than 5 stars. Keep up the good work!
Delicious Lebanese food. Order anything on menu and you wont be disappointed. Good friendly service too.
Very friendly place and great food also!
Love coming here. Service is always good. Food is pricey but worth it.If youre in LA an wont authentic middle eastern food come here.
A little pricey, but worth it! Good service. I had mujadara, my dining mate had chicken kabobs. Generous portions, well prepared. Im full!
Food was very little , it’s very small portions, it’s over priced compared with other places, food taste wasn’t good , service so bad , the owner attitude so bad , they use microwave!! to heat the food .I dont recommend this place for anyone.
Great place, Great people, great suggestions for great food. Our party of 6 enjoyed the meze and the kabobs to share. The staff was helpful and let us sub out a dish we didnt like for one we did. Att eh dips, cheese, and meats were very good. They have Armenian and Lebanese beer to try as well. Everyone was satisfied and happy with this restaurant.Parking is a lit tight in a small lot right in front of the store, but we had no issues. Say hi to Leonardo DiCaprio for me if you see him. They say he eats there sometimes.
Smokiest babaghanoush I’ve ever tasted. Everything came straight from the oven. Incredibly good tasting food. I had the Mantee which was delightfully tangy
This place is awesomeDelicious foodNice staffAnd very beautifull interiorIf you want to have a good time and eat real home made food you definitely have to go there !!! 10/10
The food is beyond incredible! It is quite pricey and not as accessible, however, the food is so tasty that it’s definitely worth a try.Service is incredible!I will say that their bathrooms need an update / remodeling. Aside from that, incredible food.
THE BEST Lebanese restaurant in Los Angeles.
Delicious Lebanese food that has plenty of mouthwatering veg options
Falafel appetizer is very good. We ordered a platter for three that came with 6 skewers of meat. There was beef, lamb and chicken kabab, all the three kinds were delicious, beef especially. Will definitely return to this restaurant!!
They trick you in the sweat talk and then overcharged you with the price. They are straight forward with the price and how they charge.Food was so little so they dont even serve the right portion.I dont recommend this place and I think this is a bad image for the the name of the restaurant.
This place is the best - great food, amazing service, wonderful people
Spectacular. My favorite restaurant in the area. I’ve ordered and dined-in on numerous occasions and each time Marouch delivers a consistent, flavorful experience. The lamb chops are incredible as is everything I’ve ordered. Highly recommend.
Food was decent but service not good. They absolutely need more servers. I think there was one waiter for 15 tables. We didn’t get our waters until food came out after asking multiple times. Our other drink order never came. For the high price we paid I was also surprised by the quality of the food.
Food was bland and lacking flavors. Portions were small and service was poor. We did not get any waters until 30 mins in. This restaurant was very expensive for what it is.
Top five damascene cuisine in LA. Random location but the food and interior make it happen.
So happy I ordered from this place. Had been really missing Lebanese food, and decided I was going to find a restaurant today. Looked at many options and settled on this. So glad I did. Very fresh flavors and ingredients. Clearly made by people who care. Halloumi, kibbeh (which I was particularly craving!), and shish tawouk were all great. The hummus was good too, with lots of tahini, though I wasnt a fan of the chopped beef. Will be ordering from them again. Seems like a family run operation too, which Im always happy to support.
Family run restaurant with dedication to ensuring it feels like home. Great and delicious homemade food. Can find ethnically imported beers and other selections not available elsewhere. Wish it was in a better location but overall very good and I would highly recommend.
I wish I could rate this restaurant a 100 stars because that is what it deserves. My family and I have been coming to this restaurant for 3 years now and this is the best food we ever encountered ourselves with. The staff here is also so incredibly friendly and show great hospitality towards us each time we go. The mezze here is absolutely incredible and mouth watering. The food there is made fresh and you can taste the love and passion put into the food. There is no such thing as a bad tasting food here because everything on Marouchs menu is simply mouth watering and hard to choose what you are going to order.
Thought my family and I would try something different. This place did not disappoint. Everything tasted so good. You get a lot of food on your plate. I took half of it home. Even though they seemed a little short handed the service was very good and friendly. I ordered a gyros type plate. Excellent!!! They also has fresh lemonade.
Delicious food!! We ordered the meze for two and shared a chicken kabob. The food was fresh and presented well. The server was the only person for the whole place, but was so friendly and took great care of us. Well be back next time we are in LA!
Unpretentious restaurant with limited seating but wonderful Lebanese food. Cost is moderate and they will accommodate larger parties if you call ahead (we had 10 in our party).
Wow. I just ate her for the first time, and I cant wait to go back.I started with the hummus and falafel. Not being hyperbolic, it was the best hummus and falafel Ive ever had. It was so good, I was considering putting in another order to eat before my entree came out.For my entree I went with the kababs at the suggestion of the server. Again amazing. I went with the combination since I couldnt decide between lamb, beef or chicken.I wish I had time for dessert, but had to run to catch a show in Hollywood.I look forward to returning and hope to soon.
A hidden gem in an unassuming corner plaza. The food was absolutely delicious and the family owners were super accommodating. We had the mixed grill platter and the hummus + falafel combo - could have easily fed four people, although our group of three tried to finish the plate because it was THAT GOOD. The white table linens and decor were a nice touch too. If I lived in LA this would definitely be a place I’d crave regularly!
Do not eat here. The food is too good. You will leave super full and happy. Don’t recommend this place unless you love flavor, service and great food. Might have to leave in a wheel chair because I could not stop eating.
Tucked away in East Hollywood is Marouch, where you can indulge in Lebanese, Armenian and Middle Eastern cuisine.Last nights dinner was remarkable. From the many meze side orders to the fabulous entrées, Marouch delivers. For starters I had the Tabbouleh, made from crushed wheat, parsley, tomato and green onions seasoned with lemon juice and olive oil. It was extremely refreshing and crisp, obviously made daily.Next the Marouch Special with Hummas and Falafel came out. The falafel had the perfect combination of ground garbanzo and fava beans. The inside was cooked perfect and held together well while the outside was fried to a golden crispy brown.Lastly for appetizers, I had the Fatayer, or cheese turnover. Delicious cheese wrapped in wonton paper and fried. Yummy!Bob, our server was wonderful and described each dish in detail as it came out. It was lovely to hear how the food was prepared and its cultural origins. For entrées I had the Lahm Mishwi, or Shish Kabab, with tender cuts of seasoned, charbroiled filet mignon and lamb, and the Shish Tawouk, or boneless, skinless, chicken cubes served over a bed of rice. The meats were fantastic - juicy, tender, well seasoned and delicious. Everything youd want from a kabob. And the rice, ohmygoodness, the rice. It was out of this world. So good I cleared my plate! My second entrée was the Ferry, or quail.I had two whole quails marinated and barbecued with creamy garlic sauce. That little bird was packed with flavor and presented beautifully. The seasoning was extraordinary and made for wonderful little morsels of meat.As a thank you for our visit we were gifted with a lovely bottle of wine on the owners behalf. Last night turned out to be a memorable, entertaining and fun experience. For more food reviews and pictures follow me on Instagram @Aimee.Eats_
One of the best Home style middle eastern cuisine. Recommended to order the lentil soup served hot before the meal. Meat kabobs is so tender melted in your mouth. Their homemade icecream is unique and tastes so good.
I appreciate the authentic experience this locally owned restaurant offers. It is nice and clean. You can tell the owner really takes care of his restaurant. The food was great 👍🏿Im very happy I stumbled upon this restaurant.
Love the food specially the mixed grill so soft and all thw rest was delicious
Terrific experience in every way. I grew up eating Lebanese cooking and this food was everything I was hoping it would be. Service was exceptional (ask for Bobas well. Felt like we were guests in his home. Highly recommended!
Very good food, I have eaten at many similar style restaurants, but these guys do it right. They also left nice notes written on the to go boxes to brighten up our day. Thanks so much
What a super friendly staff. We had really nice seats by the door opening out to the outdoors, with a cool breeze flowing in.The food was really tasty, attractively presented,, full of flavor and bountiful!! We got the appetizers for two, planning to maybe get an entree to split afterwards, but it was enough food for two of us to share and I even took some home with me.
We dined at Marouch for the first time last night, and it was delightful from beginning to end.First, I have to compliment Bob on being a gracious, attentive, and extremely hospitable host. He is clearly the heart and soul of the establishment, and youll be in good hands throughout your visit. But the food. The FOOD!Look, I could write one of those gushing reviews full of hyperbole and exclamation points, and the food at Marouch deserves that kind of review. Im just going to call out a few things that stand out in my memory. But everything, everything we had was excellent.TABBOULEH - Perfectly balanced flavors, fresh and refreshingHUMMUS B-TAHINI - It feels weird to write this, but this was the best hummus I have ever had, bar none. Ive had hummus at dozens of restaurants, and in at least a dozen homes made from scratch, and Im telling you, this hummus leaves them all in the dust.HALLOUMI - I like a stinky cheese. This is a stinky cheese salad. I loved it so much I will now be naming my first child after this dish. Halloumi Marouch has a nice ring to it.KABAB COMBINATION - The steak and chicken were perfectly seasoned, fork-tender, and frankly sublime. Ive never had more fun being a carnivore. The kafta was equally well seasoned, and with just enough char to give it extra character. The rice was cooked perfectly. Even the grilled tomato and onion were wonderful. 11/10 would have again. So if you know whats good for you, go see Bob at Marouch. So good!
Having eaten at many Lebanese restaurants throughout the US, this is definitely the best I’ve been to. The food was authentic, flavorful, and there were many great options on the menu. The service was also spectacular. I would be a regular if I lived in LA
The service was great and the food was delicious. Very tasty traditional Lebanese dishes. Best hummus I’ve ever had, and fresh pita. Overall exceeds the standards.
I dont even know if I had posted on yelp, etc. regarding Marouch. One of the finest Lebanese Restaurants in Los Angeles. The quality of the food is superb and family owned for probably over 30 years.Tonight I ordered a dinner party for a group of mediterranians they went crazy for the taste. It reminded them of their homes.Beautiful hand written notes were written on our food boxes. Ahhh. The elegance sophistication and beauty of Marouch and Lebanese/Los Angeles Culture.❤️❤️❤️👍🏼👠👑
Their food very bad, expensive, old and not delicious at all! Me and my family got diarrhea and stomachache. Besides, they are thieves! My bill was 80.65$, after my signature on the bill and leaving the restaurant, they add 20$ as a tips without asking me or having my permission! I reported them my bank.My advice, don’t go to this restaurant. Believe me there are many restaurants in LA cheaper than this one, their food very delicious, and not thieves!Thanks..
Went there directly from NYC for the great reviews it had. I cant praise enough the hospitality of the staff and the quality of the everything we ate. The food was perfect. The babaganush was astonishing. Yes, the location isnt great but you know what: who cares?! This place is worth 10 stars!
The area and lot arent that great; firsts impressions werent great considering its sandwiched between a 7/11 and a laundromat.BOY WAS I WRONG! This is a nice little spot! If you just keep your eyes inside the restaurant, its wonderfully intimate and charming. Food is no slouch either. I dont get the chance to order lamb much, but this place has the best lamb Ive had. Your miles may vary to mine in this case, but, for me, it was the best Ive had.Oh and the portions? Very filling. I was definitely left satisfied.Pretty pricey but definitely worth it.
Absolutely fresh and tasty!! Everything is home made, and their freshly baked bread oh so yummm. So crunchy and tender falafel, so juicy beef and chicken shawarma and the humus is so creamy and delicious. Kebbeh and suju were the best ive ever tried!!!
One of the best lamb kofta kebabs I’ve had - juicy and delish. Muhummra was citrusy and refreshing.
I came to pick up food here. I understand it’s a delivery service but it’s still helping your business. First off you said the wait was 5 mi. It was over 20min. I would appreciate the honesty with time. I am here making money on a time frame and I don’t appreciate you. Second without even having the manners to say sorry or thank you. I literally live around the corner and was contemplating trying this new restaurant but if your service is as bad as this, than never. Disrespectful to people’s time and work.
I absolutely loved the food. The lentil soup is amazing. The halloumi was delicious. The Turkish coffee was just right. The staff are friendly and attentive. I felt at home there instantly. Definitely looking forward to trying more dishes. Ill be back.
Amazing service, amazing food! Filet minion plate was very good. I recommend :)
Such an amazing place!!! You have to get the #39, the pita in the dish is absolutely amazing paired with the almond-sprinkled yogurt sauce. A fantastic dish. I stopped by in the early evening when the place wasnt busy yet and had the pleasure of chatting with Bob, the waiter! What an amazing, friendly, and positive man! Talking to him truly made my day, no, my week!! Come here for the fantastic food, but mostly, come for Bob.
Take your time with the vegetarian platter. I am not exaggerating when I say that Marouch makes the best dolmas Ive ever had in my life. Save yourself a bite for the end of the meal because they have the most delightful after taste that sits pleasantly on your tongue reminding you of all the joyful flavors you just celebrated. The fresh lemon, olive oil, and vegetables, keep the rice soft, sharp, and sweet. The fresh grape leaves keep it cloaked in a moist olive oil coat to ensure your mouth is well prepared for each taste buds enjoyment. Wow. So good I bought another side of dolmas to steal small bites of periodically on the long drive home to SF. The toasted pita, baba ganoush, hummus, pickles, and olives were the perfect way to enjoy life slowly. Be sure to also order the "knafeh" a sweet white cheese, covered in semelina wheat, honey rose water baked and then topped with roasted pistachios and shaved almonds... Wow.
