Marlow's Tavern in Orlando

We met out to celebrate a friends Birthday and we really enjoyed the service food and atmosphere. Best Shrimp and Grits ever!

Food is always good here! Crab and Shrimp nachos are a great start and the shrimp and grits a must! The service was OK, wrong starter was sent to the table but corrected on short order.

My husband and I have been coming here for around 4 years now. Quality and service used to be top notch, then all of a sudden in the last couple of years that has gone down. We still come either way because it’s not bad compared to other restaurants nearby, except for last night… We walk in around 6:20pm and get seated. The restaurant was at about half capacity, and servers were chit chatting, walking around, casually serving tables around us, but not once did we get acknowledged in the 10 minutes we were there- no waters, no “I will be with you shortly!”. We ended up walking out after multiple servers stared at us and kept socializing amongst themselves.Terrible terrible terrible service.

The environment is nice and staff are friendly.We ordered a few things for appetizers. Sangria was good, margarita ok.Wings ok. Boom boom shrimp was good.Dip was just ok. And crab nachos tasted nothing.

The place was pretty dead in the afternoon so n a weekday. The food was great as usual and the drinks were tasty. (I’m telling you, get a New Fashioned.)

On the whole, I enjoyed my evening here. I was forewarned that the music would be difficult to hold a conversation (there was even a note in the menu about itbut we were all pleasantly surprised to find that wasnt the case. The thing that I was the most disappointed in was that the portion you get for the high prices as well as the menu description not meeting actuality. We had a large party but a few of the people sitting closest to me were disappointed in what they got. My dinner didnt match the description I read in the menu. The food we did get was good.

What an awesome place to eat. Decided last minute to go just because of the name and was so glad we did. I got the shrimp and crab nachos and they were delicious just wish some place in Cincinnati learned to make them like that!!!! Highly recommend this place wish they were closer or built one by us.

The waitress was great. Unfortunately cant remember her name.Anyhow all of the employees seem nice!.You have to try rge asparagus fries yummy.

First timer at Marlow’s and will not return! Fries brown and soggy change your oil. Fried okra stop trying to reinvent it cut it up and fry it. To stringy to cut or eat without stuff hanging out your mouth. How do not have crown alcohol. Mentioned something to waitress about the issues. Don’t give me something for next time. Why would I want to come back when the sides aren’t edible. The sandwiches are ok nothing to brag about. People are definitely getting more selective on where to spend money these days. I like varieties and this brand is definitely off the list for me.

Excellent food & attentive friendly service. Best key lime pie in Florida. The restaurant is always way too cold. Everyone was putting on sweaters.

I normally love Marlows, but I just had a really unfortunate take out experience. Just ordered a hamburger, medium doneness, and it was completely burnt. The very middle was edible but I ended up throwing most of it away because it tasted like charcoal. Will not be ordering takeout from them again and probably wont be going back to this Marlows. Its a shame because their burgers are one of my favorites.

We ordered Uber Eats from here and they added all the extra sauces and a complimentary brownie. Food was totally amazing and delicious.

We had an absolutely excellent meal at this hidden gem. Our server Renee was fantastic, she was welcoming extremely knowledgeable friendly and truly cared about the business she worked at and the customers she served. My daughter and I came in at 9:30 knowing they closed at 10 and we were just hoping that maybe we could take some food away but we were told to please come in make ourselves comfortable relax and eat and that it was no problem. I truly look forward to coming back to Marlow’s Tavern when I’m in town again

The tuna I ordered had a wonderful temperature and the flavors of this dish was a delectable taste. I recommend it to anyone.

My family and I visit this restaurant usually 4 times a months . And my today’s experience was totally unacceptable. The guy at the door (not sure if it was a managertold us to wait outside, never took our information and seated patrons that arrived after us. When we went to ask, he told us we were next, and we had to wait another 15 more minutes. At this point we proceed to tell him we were leaving, to what he replied “ok”. No apologies. Please consider adding a call back or pager system.

Great place! I was recommended by friend to check this location out for lunch. The area is perfect for those in the hotel and with its location next to the theater its great to go grab some food before or after a movie. Food was great and timing for the food was not long at all.

Good firecracker shrimp, burger, and wings. Service was helpful and convenient. Family was well fed.

I love the food here. Cooked fresh when ordered. Everything is clean and service is great. We split the lobster and crab nachos. I also had the fish tacos. They were very good. The big winner was the nachos. I would definitely recommend and return to this tavern.

Business dinner with a colleague, we shared the Tuna Poke appetizer and both had the Black and Blue Burger (mine without the bun)I didnt eat any of the wonton as Im doing a Keto diet, but the one thing I thought could be improved was the cut of the Poke to smaller pieces to allow the poke to be spread on the wonton better, my colleague had lots more wonton left after we split the poke.Service was quick and our wait person was friendly. Lots of TVs for the sports enthusiasts and walking distance from a few hotels that are close to the airport.

Yummy food that you can enjoy before or after a flight It’s down the road from the airport. The pimento cheese is super yummy too!

Although they were busy, we were seated right away. I had the chicken panini and fries. Food was cold. Fries were warm. They apologized and redid my order.The second order was cooked to perfection. I would eat there again.Service great.

The ambiance is excellent, seems like a great spot for cocktails, hanging out with friends and listening to good music; the staff and the service was fantastic, they were very friendly and attentive. Ordering from the menu was very disappointing… the fare seemed a bit different from what one is typically used to at these establishments and was very limited; I have to give them a lot of credit though, the White Cheddar Grit Cakes were a knockout.Bottom line: I’d consider re-visiting if they consider expanding the menu.

This was a quick stop before an airport pickup and it was amazing! The drinks are made perfectly, the pimento cheese arancini was awesome and our main dish of shrimp and grits was the best ever! So Southern and so delicious! Carissa was a solid 10 and I loved how passionate she was about the menu and how everything is so fresh and prepared. I will definitely be back!!! EDIT.,.. decided to get the Creme Brulee, OMG!!!!!!

We had another restaurant cancel our reservation two hours before the scheduled dinner and after frantically calling 8 other places, Marlow’s saved the day!! They were able to accommodate our very large party at very short notice. Their patio was perfect for our party of 35 even with the drop in temperature to 30. The heaters kept us warm, the food was absolutely delicious and remarkably fast, the staff was phenomenal, especially the manager, and the price was beyond reasonable. Florida State University Flutes will be back for sure!

Marlow’s Tavern is basically like any of the other Taverns around. The food is decent and they do have vegetarian and vegan options. What makes this place standout in my opinion are the chick pea fries! They are fantastic! The staff is friendly and they offer indoor and outdoor dining as well. Their prices are a bit on the pricey side but worth it.

Amazing food, ambiance, service, and drinks!We hosted our Little Black Dress Girls Night Out here in November on the patio. Large amount of outdoor seating with an outdoor bar, too.Wednesday’s are ladies night- special pricing for select foods and drinks.Everything we had was amazing- from the wine to cocktails to food selections.The management team was very helpful and supportive of our event. Amazing customer service! We had such a great time and can’t wait to return to Marlow’s Tavern - Lee Vista!

I was looking for some lighter food to eat and decided to have the ahi tuna salad with some truffle fries and a margarita. The ahi tuna salad hit the spot. The dressing wasnt too heavy, and the tuna was just slightly seared so it was nice and rare in the middle. Im not a huge fan of truffle, or ginger, which were part of the fries and margarita respectively, and my server customized both to go light on the truffle oil and ginger and both items were very delicious. Overall, the food and service were excellent here. I would highly recommend.

Yummy!We had a huge group and they accommodated us well. The wait staff was great. Food yummy. Food cooked correctly (rare was actually rare cooked to perfevtion).Great experience.

2018 my poke appetizer was delicious. my boyfriend burger was good. the only thing that gave this place 3 stars was the fact that after ordering drinks from the waiter, we never saw him again. My boyfriend had to walk to the bar and ask for our drinks and he brought them back to the table.Update::2021-- I recently visited Marlows again and I have to say I wish their customer service matched the quality and taste of the food coming out from their Chef and cooks. Our waiter kept slamming the plates onto our table. It was so noticeable it stopped our conversation in its tracks because she just kept slamming all the plates, appetizer plates. Main course plates, our cups of water. It was ridiculous. Extremely passive agressive. Another waiter kept sweeping around us which I find extremely rude with this huge long broom. Raising every dust particle into our area and at the end of my meal I noticed my waitress talking about me with another waiter and the waiter stared at me. I have to say the only reason Marlows continues to see me in their dining room is the food. Kudos to the kitchen!!! As for the waiters, you all need to be re trained and some fired. Sorry

The food was good. Service was good ..the atmosphere was chilled,we sat out in the patio ,it was nice and very relaxing and enjoyable

Though the shrimp and grits were amazing (and worth a trip out for that alone), its the service that should be raved about. Carissa made sure my water was never empty and had great recommendations with a positive attitude. They learned it was our first time here, and Jason even gave us some off the menu items to try. If I could give 10 stars for the service I would! If you love great service and good, high quality food that dont skimp on the shrimp, this is the place to go!😁⭐🌟😁

The food, service, adult drinks and service very good. The restaurant and bathrooms very clean. Our server was also excellent. She would constantly check on us and refill any drinks we ordered quickly. I highly recommend this place I dont always give five stars but this place earned it. Kristen was awesome.

First time here and not impressed yet. Greasy and slippery floors and no way to dry hands in the restroom for those of us the actually wash their hands. The restaurant is practically empty during lunch and Sunday football and we have been and still continue to wait for our food. I would hate to see the speed of service during a busy time. The server bumped the top of my drinking straw with her arm. She didnt apologize or offer to replace it. I didnt drink it after that and was never given another. Who needs a drink to go with lunch anyway? Food was ok. I have had better at other area restaurants and received twice the amount of food of the same type. The portion size here is not worth the price. I seriously doubt that we will return. The mystery is solved as to why no one is here but the staff.

Food was really good, so glad we made a stop at that place. Syrup on my chicken/waffle was a little too sweet for my taste.

The Blueberry buck cocktail was very refreshing. Hand crafted cocktails and juices are fresh squeezed daily. Quality from scratch comfort food. Had the Black and Blue burger, no bun, med rare and it was excellent. You have to try the parmesan truffle fries!

Friendly welcoming. Mike is on point with checking in at our table making sure are needs are met. Food is delicious and didnt have any slow down feel 7 hours later hanging out for that day.

They have a great Moscow mule aka Blueberry buck. Great food with their menu changing seasonally.The burgers are great, filet is awesome, scallops are amazing, yeah we have had about everything on the last menu.Service is up and down at this location, we go here a lot, enough where a couple of the servers recognize us and could tell we weren’t getting service so they came over and helped.But, no reason to rank it a 4 star. Visited while on business travel and was pleasantly surprised. The manager gave us an appetizer to start off with because we were out of town and continued to check on us throughout the night. The waitress gave great recommendations and all the food was really good for the price. Recommended!

Great food and service! We had a party of about 25, including several children, and were seated on the patio. The server who was tending our table (we had 3 tableswas fantastic! She was on top of things all the time. I was pleased to see they had fried okra on the menu and it was unlike any fried okra Ive had. Perfectly breaded. Perfectly cooked. And WHOLE okra, not sliced. Our entire party received great service! I got the veggie burger with the okra. It wasnt your run off the mill veggie burger, it was really good. Another person in our party got the shrimp and grits and she loved it. Hubby got the regular burger and said it was really good. Also tried the orange blossom beer recommended by our server, and it was very refreshing and the Kentucky bourbon on draft (Ive only had it by the bottle). Both were fantastic. Definitely recommend Marlows Tavern. Would be nice to get one out by us in Winter Garden. 😁👍👍

I dont even know where to start. I mean when we walked in, got greeted with happy smiles. Sat down and the server was AMAZING. He basically memorized EVERY SINGLE THING ON THE MENU! You dont see that as much anymore. He stayed with us until we were sure of what we were looking at! Im sorry that I forgot his name but good job, man! You rock! Then the food! I think one of the best burgers we have tried so far! The drinks were amazing and not water downed. Good and happy atmosphere! TVs and live music as well. Loved it. OH AND, while we were leaving, we hear a RANDOM but adorable "BYEEEEE" from one of the hosts wayyyyyyyy down inside of the restaurant. Perfect!

Great atmosphere (music is a bit loud but it may be because it wasnt busy during my lunch visit). Started off with a new fashioned by bartender recommendation. Definitely a great twist on the traditional. If youre a first time visitor they treat you to an order of their kettle chips. They have good flavor and seen like to give a decent idea of the quality of the food. I had the black and blue burger. It tasted fresh and was cooked perfectly. The only thing I would change is to do fresh gorgonzola crumbles instead of the sauce as it makes the burger a bit too messy for my taste and most of it ends up on the plate. I would definitely visit here again.

Happy hour from 5 to 7 on certain drafts and house wines. Pretty good burger. great caesar variation, crab nachos, they have a blueberry alcoholic drinks that is great. Drinks are on the high side so great to go during happy hour. Good bar atmosphere, especially their patio. Food came out quickly.

Went in for lunch happy hour after a long flight across the country, indulged in the daily special which was a mouthwatering Brisket Burger that I had no regrets about ordering despite my indecisive palette. Piled high with savory meat and crispy onion straws, this was a feast in and of itself. Their fish tacos and asparagus fries were also pretty fantastic! The draught beer list was definitely inferior for what a tavern should have, with only about 5 to 8 fresh beers being poured and some bottles too. Our server was very friendly and informative. Visit went really well and I now will look forward to returning to Marlows again someday. Thanks!Best,~S

Went here for a late lunch. The place wasnt busy at all. It has a nice atmosphere and pleasant decor. Everything seemed clean and well taken care of. We ordered the French dip with side salad and chicken tenders with French fries. Both were delicious. It did take 19 minutes after ordering for our meals to arrive. I hope this isnt the usual. We ordered the fried bananas for dessert

The best shrimp and grits Ive had in Orlando! Thought I would never find shrimp and grits as good as in Savanah GA but Im thrilled now. Even thr orange juice tasted like I stuck a straw in an orange and started sucking. The fish tacos were also lovely and the bloody Mary was decent. Service is great and the menu has something for everyone. Will definitely be back!
