Marlay Park in Donaghmede
Description
Excellent park to have long walks. Great street food and drinks.
Absolutely marvellous. Really great walks in tree-lined avenues. Lots of open spaces. River running through. Lots of sport venues. Truly a great find. Wish it were closer to me. Also j today, Sunday, lots of different food opportunities. A superb experience.
MoreOver the road from us so we can skip the hectic traffic on hot days because that I would say is the only real let down here. Loads of space for the kids to run around and play football, lovely little cafe and even have a little market on Saturdays
MoreThere is no more beautiful place to go for a stroll or a jog in Dublin
This is an excellent park located in south Dublin city with easy access from the M50 too.The park has a bunch of amenities including sports facilities, toilets, coffee shops and the DSMEE miniature railway. There are beautiful walks through the wooded areas, and lots of places to sit and relax too.The park has 2 car parks, and there are also connections with the local buses.Well worth a visit, for both Dublin residents and also tourists alike.
MoreBeautiful large inner-city park, with many tarmac paths and gravel trails through small wooded areas. Has a food market on Sat am. Parkrun 5k was also fun.
MoreReally nice spacious park. Tennis courts, football pitches and a lovely childrens playground. The car parks tend to fill up quickly so arrive as early as possible. Also leave extra time to find your way around as it is a huge park.
MoreExtensive south Dublin park thats used for a variety of recreational activities. Its also the start of the Wicklow Way and boasts some beautiful tree hugged paths that wind their way around its many stylized water features. The courtyard of the old country house is now used by a number of artisan sellers and there are two coffee shops.
Moregreat hand bag shop and also other shops..what a gemGreat coffee . Walled garden beautiful
MoreWow is hiw I would describe Marlay Park. The playground has so many apparatus for all ages spread out so no chance if being bored! Public toilets regularly cleaned. The park itself you could walk for days around. Extremely clean and well kept. Great lottle studios and shops in the courtyard.
MoreGreat park with s little of everything. Playground dog runs, small rail way. Pond and wood walks. Craft shops and cafes. Even ice cream for dogs!
MoreNice park with playgrounds for children and dog park.Possible to have nice walks.Nice little market during weekend morning - lovely coffee shops for a gourmet break

MoreIf you want a day out with your kids its a great spot, there is a lovely market on at the weekends with a variety of food to choose from, there is 2 playgrounds so the kids will be kept occupied, always very clean and tidy, can recommend enough

MoreGreat venue for people who are nervous staff are kind and helpful will go to more concerts here
MoreWent for a festival, really big and spacious venue. Quite clean and spread out. Enjoyed it.
MoreAbsolutely beautiful park loads to do and see food trucks icecream vans Forrest walks some fabulous views when walking in the park
MoreSo much to do here. I especially loved the aviary in the walled garden. You can really see how well the birds are kept here and how happy they are.Love the Saturday markets - the donuts were out of this world.
MoreConcert review. Gig was great but this venue is just not built for the volume of people. Awful experience. Music saved it even though I missed some of that.
MoreWas here for Guns N Roses and so I didnt really visit as a park, but as a music venue it was great. It had rained for a week leading up to the gig so I had images of it being a huge swamp, but I was very surprised that it wasnt the case. It was totally dry. I have been to many outdoor music events and this is up there with some of the best. Excellent sound quality and the screens helped for those that didnt want to get too close. Plenty of toilets, refreshments and food stalls. Getting home was a different story, but I wouldnt take that away from what a great venue this was.
MoreWent here for the GreenDay concert. Really well organised. Bought the return ticket for the bus from Customs house. Walked straight into one of the long line of buses. Dropped off at the head of the queue and the same long line of buses waiting for us as the concert finished. Security was quick and efficient and there is loads of food cabins inside ( there is an initial food area where everyone queues but walk past that over the river into the main arena as there is even more food in there
MoreExcellent gig and service from all staff involved. Guns and Roses were excellent and facility’s were clean and food was great. Normal public Bus service got us to and from the gig no issue. Great night with good weather too.
MoreCHILLI 🌶 GIG, well run, great venue. Special night. Thanks to all involved in running this event, went off without a hitch from entering the ground to leaving it.
MoreWhat a great venue for music coming from California myself. I would say this is better than some of the venues Ive been to out there. The lines for concessions and restrooms were not a bother at all, Everything moved fast and seamless. Very safe with the security and all in all a great experience...
MoreGood venue, not as big as I thought it would be. Went to see Guns N Roses ...AMAZING....1 major issue with it there was next to no transport to and from venue ....walked almost 2 miles after concert to get a taxi and that was dump luck ......NEED BETTER TRANSPORT
MoreGreat nights craic at guns and roses. The park is a great location and has good facilities for a concert. Ingress and egress was no problem. We parked at in Dundrum
MoreLovely park with chickens, birds, flowers, cafes, playgrounds and a lovely food market on the weekends !! Great for a walk or a nice picnic 😊
MoreBeautiful park except for the toilets. Could do with a deep clean. Otherwise a great spacious park to have a run around or a lovely day out with the kids!
MoreBrilliant day out for kids and adults alike. We love it. The park is huge. There are 2 playgrounds, one big and one small. A tennis area, some shops, a market there on the weekend I think. A lake. Plenty of green space. A dog park. Forest trails. And plenty more Im sure.
MoreJustifiably popular park. Nice walks suitable for all ages and plenty of space to run and play. Shame well behaved dogs have to be on a lead all the time even in the outer wooded areas. There is a dog park but our smallish, rather timid dog cannot cope with the big dogs running and bouncing whereas she is very happy to trot alongside us sniffing in the undergrowth. Can get VERY busy in car park and cafés at weekends
MoreUnbelievable lovely place 👌I advise everyone to visit this place. Incredible landscapes, incredible nature.
MoreLovely park which is well maintained and has numerous different amenities including a full kids playground, outdoor adult exercise equipment, coffee shop and when in use the best thing Ive seen in a park a mini railway track. The park itself is huge and has 2 car parks one that is huge and one that is average.
MoreLove this place, beautiful scenic walks. A lovely childrens playground , ice cream van. Lots to explore.
MoreBetter park than most of the parks and very good for neighbourhood. However, not the best and doesn’t have many things.
MoreIt is a big park. The main playground area has a public toilet (not many parks have this luxury). There is a nice cafe to grab a snack and coffee. Beside the garden with peacocks and other flying beauties there is a restaurant where you can sit inside or outside. There is a food fair on Sunday with yummy treats. The park itself is a great place to run, walk, and cycle (there are some pedestrian areas only). There is a fairy garden too.
MoreGreat Park one of my favourite places for a walk
Has a good children playground inside with lot of play activities for them. Can get bit crowded on a weekend and if the weather is good. You need to enter Marlay Park from the College Road Car Park side for near access to the kids playground. Parking place is big and free. I love to go there as my kids enjoys a lot there
MoreI love it. Its a great park to bring the kids to play or just to go and chill. The park is beautiful and it has nice paths to walk in the woods. It also has a little bird zoo kind of place where kids can go and feed them.It has a nice coffee shop and on Saturday there are food trucks that sell different kinds of foods.
MoreNice gardens, well maintained park , tasty foods "chirinquitos"in weekend market ,crafts expos and mini-shows too. Enjoyable walk around.
MorePublic park with varying seasonal opening times.Eateries, playgrounds, pitches and moreSaturday & Sunday - Food trucks & small shops / pop upsGAA pitches, Soccer fields, Rugby grounds, Cricket pitch, Tennis courts & children’s play areaPlenty happening
MoreGreat park!At both car parks there are toilet amenitiesAt the weekends there are food trucks.Including 2 enclosed and safe dog parks for both large and small breeds. Completely safe for them to run around. The parks forest work is very picturesque
MoreGreat place for the whole family. Loved the butterfly 🦋 house and gardens. Great food and drinks in avoca. Very friendly staff at reception. Thanks to Michelle who let us come back to continue the tour coz it was raining 🌧 when we visited first.
MoreNice picturesque view of the mountains. Close to Dundrum shopping centre. One thing I love about this place is that it has seats.ans not to mention that it is very spacious. I glady would recommend anyone in Dublin to visit this park.
MoreGreat place for walk, picnic. Lovely, spacious and tidy park. There is public toilet beside kid playground, and another one just beside the castle.I think not a good idea for cycling because some areas in the park are not permitted.
MoreIve lived in this area for most and Marley Park has always been a favourite. Its also has a brilliant play ground and more importantly three places to buy coffee
MoreWhat a beautiful place to spend your time in. Theres plenty to see and do. Plenty of space to picnic play ball fly kites or just watch the world go by. Its excellent for cycling, jogging or if more adventurous the beginning of the wicklow way a truly beautiful trek. There is a large lake with several brooks and streams that feed into and out of.A walled garden tea rooms craft centre (toilets are herefree parking that fills up quickly
MoreLovely park to bring the family to. There are open green areas and enclosed woodlands. For me the best part is how well maintained and clean it is, even with all the dog walkers (well done to them for being so responsible). Also seems like a great area to get in some exercise.Just be careful when sitting on some of the benches along the walk way - the birds live above them if you know what I mean...
MoreUrban Jungle - thats it! Located in convinient Sandyford area - Dublins south-side suburbs (best way from center - tram / green line, or Dublin Bus), park is ideal for family visits with small children. In amid there is a huge playground for a kuds, and a lots of green pitches for football, rugby or other field sports. There is very decent coffee place with nice selection of pastries on site. If you are looking for family picnic, two large supermarkts are just across the street. Youll find also small botanical garden with several types of caged birds too. Very convinient, with long walk paths, lakes and sport terrains.
