A great eating and food place with German, Italian and other international themed food choices. There is even a South African eatery.

Great ambience. Lots of cuisines from around the world. Nice place to hang out for beer and finger food.

There are many food, grocery and vegetable shops inside. In fact, I could find a number of fresh vegetables at the small vendors which you wouldnt find in big grocery shops. You can find many Asian and European cuisines inside in one hall.

I had a simple but good quality meal for only 6 euros. A lot of food shops from all over. Crowded when I was there on a friday afternoon but not unpleasant.

Love visiting the Markthalle..a great stop for a quick coffee or to pick up some specialities from the South African store...mummy tastes of home.

So much selection of food. From spanish to South African, Danish, Hungarian and Italian I would highly recommend a visit.

One of the more original places in a town that doesnt exactly suffer from an overabundance of those. Its striking a delicate balance between a shopping destination for fresh, particularly for exotic or out-of-season produce. And a place for the local in-groups to show off their new smartphones while gorging on the old sparkly. So yes, depending on the time and the day it can be a bit ostentatious (perhaps avoid Saturdays?). But by and large a great place.

Supposed to have the best espresso. Food stalls seemed a bit disappointing, but I think you can get a good breakfast. Locals seem to mainly chill&drink here.

Its very promising. Even in Corona time, theres a lot of places open. The sausage, cheese etc looks really good. We had a Parmaschhinken that was delicious. The bier was solala, better to check which one you get.

This place is amazing! Any kind of food you want, seating everywhere, "live" beer that is amazing and people watching for days! Be sure to go at the lunch hour for a great European "quick dining" experience.

Great location, exactly on top of one of the U-Bahn entrances. Easy to find since the stop is named after this place “Markthalle”.Really close to the city center, so it’s a nice place to go before or after enjoying a walk through the beautiful city.There are a lot of different options to have from drinks to food, and in every price range. I would say it is really accesible for everyone and the portion of the majority of the dishes is quiet generous.Good environment to spend time with family and friends if you don’t mind that it might be a little crowded inside. If you are lucky you will find a nice table to seat in.It’s a place worth visiting, I would recommend it and will definitely go back.

We went to this indoor market as we arrived in Hannover. It came recommended and didnt disappoint. The various restaurants served delicious food and drink at very reasonable prices. The atmosphere was excellent. Make sure you come here

If you are searching for a place where you can find typical german food, and I am not talking about bavarian food, than you are correct at this place. It brought me back to my childhood memories. Nice place! Located in the historical center of Hannover close to Marktkirche.There are a lot of different food, and always a lot of people. The bad thing is that around 7 p.m. many shops and cafes were closed

A lot of old people drinking wine and eating cured ham buns. predominantly Italian food (adapted to the german palate. We had some decent Vietmese salad and nems. Not a must see....

Stomach of Hannover - this is unofficial name of this place. You can find here something for any taste - Italian, Vietnamese, Spanish, Bavarian, general German, Indian, fish, meat, vegetables and even Bahlsen cookie outlet... Everything is well priced and works like watch. This place has experience to serve fast but good quality food during very busy breakfast and lunch hours.

Very nice area to visit. Huge variety of small shops ranging from fresh fruits to cheese and meat. Bars, coffee shops and juice counters. Amazing experience. You would not imagine how it feels from outside.Must go if in Hanover.

Great variety of food and drinks on offer at reasonable prices. It does get quite busy during weekly lunch times and on Saturdays, so be prepared to hit a walking traffic jam between stalls during these times.

Very interesting a market. Different from modern supermarket, you can find lots of fresh and local food materials here. If course, some venders sell delicious food and you can find a comfort seat.

A great find, definitely recommend lunch in here. Lots of choice and a great atmosphere. All the stall holders are very friendly and provide a fuss free meal. If you think some of the restaurants in the Hannover are quiet this is probably where everyone is.

Good variety of local food well represented at the market where you can have a quick lunch or take dishes away.A place with quite a unique flair. It reminds me of the markets in Spain and Portugal a bit, very lively and dynamic. Loads of goodies and foodies all around. You can also have a nice drink. Crowded, mix of flavors and smells. Limited places to sit and quite dark. Greasy door knobs... we decided to buy some pastries from the bakery and leave for another place

Nice indoor market with probably 50 assorted stalls including meat & wurst sellers, bakeries, coffee stands, and green grocers along with at least a dozen bars and restaurants. Id only give it four stars but theres a Cookie and Cracker Outlet Store upstairs that features prominently in my life.

A fantastic covered marketMostly known for its various food stations. You can get Greek Italian authentic German and a range of foods. Theyre always delicious. And very well priced. If you want to stop and have a quick lunch this is the place to go. They also sell a range of Fresh Meat cheese and vegetables.

All kinds of freshly cooked food stalls available in this huge indoor hall.. If You Love meat, there are lots of quality butchers also... Well worth a visit even just to browse round.

What an amazing place. Interesting history. Glad the citizens wanted it back. So much food to eat and purchase. Fresh vegetables, fruit, meats and wursts. And you can get a bier or three. Well with a visit especially if youre hungry

Great place to go shopping, eat lunch from a huge range of choices or hang out at a bar. You can even get haircut! There are shops ranging from normal butchers to specialty ham and game butchers, green grocers, fish mongers, tea specialists, cheese shops, bakers and lots of places to eat. Its not called the "belly of Hannover" for nothing!

Lots of food options. Bavarian Catering make a good ham sandwich and serve Franziskaner from tap.

Nice market hall. Lots of different foods and food products to choose from. Not the cheapest place to go shopping. I like the bahlsen shop on the second floor. The toilets are in the basement and are quite dirty and dated. Didnt feel safe going down there by myself.
