5-6 Oliver Plunkett St, Centre, Cork, T12 T959, Ireland, Cork
Swish, 2-floor restaurant and cocktail bar mixing European and Modern Irish flavours.
Excellent food and amazing service, would highly recommend
We went and ate from the late night menu, which still had a nice selection. I had the Crispy Torn Chicken Salad and it was great. Everyone else had the Seafood Pasta which was also delicious. Staff was awesome and vibe was laid back. Go and eat here.
One of the best meals I’ve ever had. Service and food were fantastic. A must try if you are in Cork
I love market lane, there is always such a buzz and such lovely friendly helpful staff. Service is always good and the food as well
We had a fabulous meal and our waitress Susan couldnt be more helpful and made every effort to look after us.
This place was awesome. Walkin service. Sat at the bar. Food was amazing. We are only in Cork a few days, but will have to go here again.
This lovely restaurant has a a great atmosphere, kind staff, and delicious food. We really enjoyrr the mushroom soup, lamb crochets, and the filet mignon. If you are in Cork, check out this or any of the restaurants run by this group.
Lovely Staff. Brilliant Food. They do a terrific Bread and Butter Pudding
Went for dinner here on Saturday night with family. We had a lovely time. The food was fab, Each of us had a starter and main course, two also had dessert. Each dish we had was lovely. Staff were friendly and service was great, especially given how busy it was. Will definitely be back soon.
Amazing dinner. Drinks through dessert were all fantastic. Highlights were a blueberry mocktail and the hake which were delicious.
The food here is incredible and they have lots of options available for vegetarians and celiacs. The mimosa is also a highlight as they use freshly squeezed orange juice.
Excellent food and awesome staff. Enjoyed thoroughly.
Have been here many times now,and have never been even slightly disappointed! Always a pleasure, the staff are as wonderful as the food. Would highly recommend any time of the day.
Wonderful place to go for a special occasion. The staff are pleasant and attentive, and the food is absolutely delicious, making something potentially bland like a chicken salad an event within itself - Im still dreaming about the yakinuku glaze!
Loved this place, food absolutely gorgeous and a great vibe to the place. Only quibble I would have is that it took a long time for our waiter to take our order and then, while we still had drinks to drink, we asked to finish them off outside as our table was required...a little unfair given that it took 50 minutes of waiting to give our order.
Food was impressive, also expensive, but where isnt these days, was disappointed with portion size, but after eating my meal I was satisfied and content, will definitely try again
Great service, despite being very busy our meal was not rushed. Excellent food, 4 different mains on our table all of which were devoured. Desserts the same.
Fantastic food here, great staff, very efficient.
Absolutely loved it. Food was the best we had in cork. Even if it was super full, service was quick and staff was nice!
We had a birthday meal here, the service and organisation was excellent. The Hungarian waiter was very attentive and clearly experienced.I had a starter of smoked haddock and crispy hens egg. It was OK, slightly overcooked haddock but tasty all the same.Unfortunately, I ordered the seafood pasta. The orzo was overcooked, as was most of the seafood. It wasnt a pleasant dish. Apart from that, the service was good, everyone elses food looked tasty. It may have just been a bad day for me.
Great team looked after a large party of 20 who all had a great time. Food was good, service was better and atmosphere..... I think we made our own ;-)
Fantastic food, extremely friendly staff and lively atmosphere
Definitely a good feed. Food was delicious and service good. Staff were attentive and even though they were very busy we didnt have to wait hardly at all for meals.
Went for a birthday. Room is nice and the service was very good, chatty, pleasant. Unfortunately the food was really, really poor. Stingy with sauces, over-cooked, dry. For a menu thats basically comforting classics, this is pretty unforgivable for the money you pay. For 7 (including 3 kids on kids menu), we spent nearly €350 including a few cocktails and wine, but no starters. Apart from the staff, really disappointing and a borderline rip-off.
Very good location, attentive staff, recommend to make reservations if go for dinner. Love their dessert
Very welcoming restaurant with something for everyone on menu and wine list. Mussels in white wine sauce are excellent, steaks are cooked perfectly as per order. Always worth a visit, and if youre not booked, the very friendly and well organised staff go out of their way to accommodate guests.
For a higher end place I was disappointed with the food. Portion was quite small, and didnt have much flavour, same with the dessert. For an established restaurant, I expected better, especially for the prices they have.Cocktails were lovely!
Lovely restaurant and even lovelier staff. Worth booking as very busy and was very fortunate to get one of the outside tables. Food is of the highest quality which is obviously what matters most. Staff very helpful and give a lovely run down on what food Market Lane has to offer its hungry customers. Look forward to visiting the place sometime soon again. Youll not be disappointed, just Go...😀
Staff here are amazing. Theyre well known amongst patrons of cork for their amazing service and friendly attitudes, no matter how busy!I always enjoy going for food here, one of the few places in cork Ive made repeated visits to!Definitely worth a visit, but may require a booking during busier periods. The food is always lovely and they have a nice selection of tap and bottled beverages.
If you have allergies this restaurant is the best in the city. They have a Celiac menu, a dairy free menu and if you ask they will find out what food has other allergents you may be allergic to in the food. My other allergy after gluten, dairy is Soya. The staff are amazing and so helpful. The food is A+. Well worth a visit even for just lunch.
Lovely new outdoor tables, food is very nice, just could be a few more vegetarian options and not great for vegans. Really nice unique cocktails.
Exceptional. Amazing menu, delightful to see so many fish and vegetarian dishes. Easily accommodated friend with Gluten free dishes. Great non alcohol cocktails. Staff is simply amazing, friendly, responsive. Food was great quality and full of flavour, mostly considering it was bank holiday weekend, amazing experience! Cant wait to come back!
Absolutely delicious meal and cocktails and the staff are just fantastic! Highly recommend!
Great place to eat and have a good timeThe staff was very very kind and took great care of us during our stay. The food was very delicious with a very good quality/ price ratio. Can only recommend
This is legitimately one of the nicest of this chain of restaurants. Even post covid the quality of the food and service is excellent. I got the beef rib, people talk about meat falling off the bone but you couldnt keep the meat on it with a hammer and nail. Every course was phonenomenal from start to finish
Flawless and charming service, great meat and some originality in the sides! Nice home brewed beers as well with a large variety (stouts, white, IPA...)
Very nice staff and good. The outdoor seating was comfortable. The seafood salad and the steak sandwich were delicious as well as all the current mocktails and brownie. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a nice restaurant and nice staff. 10/10
Fab food. Nice atmosphere. Service was good also. New outdoor seating is great although it gets quiet cold when the sun goes down
Food was fantastic - I had the bacon collar, and my husband had the fillet steak. Both were cooked to perfection, as were the accompaniments. We found it difficult deciding which desserts to have - they all sounded really nice. In the end I went for the chocolate peanut butter caramel tart; my husband had the passion fruit cooler. We both washed them down with the dessert cocktail, a whipped White Russian. We also drank a pint of the pale ale (himselfand a pichet of the New Zealand Sauvignon blanc (me). This was a lovely meal and Im so glad we found this restaurant. Well definitely visit again if we return to Cork.
We had a great steak here. Cooked to perfection and served up by very pleasant waiting staff. I would recommend eating here.
Really cool place, fish curry was delicious! Loved the outdoor area, a really good use of space for growing vegetables and herbs too.Staff were friendly, atmosphere was relaxed and food and drink delicious. Couldnt recommend enough!
Considering how many of us came (over 20the service was good (although sometimes hard to get their attention), the food delicious and the atmosphere enjoyable. The staff were clearly under strain with the numbers coming in, and I am reviewing 4 stars based on one experience. The mussels were delicious, the main course fish was also really nicely cookedAll in all, I would definitely try again, maybe in a smaller group!
Fantastic meal! Amazing local drinks. I cant say enough. I feel so satisfied after my meal. Presentation was gorgeous of course.
This resturant provided a wonderful atmosphere that felt both relaxed and modern as well as delicious, modern takes on classic dishes. Everything we ordered came out meeting or exceeding expectations. The highlight of our meal was the herb and butter vegetables. The staff were extremely kind as well.
Great food! Good selection of whiskeys. Very good cocktails, the Hendrix ice tea was great. The only negative was my fault, we opted to sit outside and didnt realize that in Ireland it is allowed to smoke where you eat. Other than that, excellent. Neve, our server was great.
Finally make my visit to this iconic location to try out local authentic Irish cuisine, which was fortunate for me as they did not disappoint. Arriving at the restaurant around 7pm, already packed with patrons enjoying their dinner. I had ordered an raspberry Earl Grey float as a starter, that follows by a roast hake dish. The seafood item was splendid with all the fresh ingredients accompanied each other well, thus intensifying overall flavor, what a pleasurable gourmet. My strawberry glory dessert had left me with a high note and remark for this place.
Had a wonderful lunch here, the staff are friendly and attentive and the food superb. I had the French onion soup and the bacon collar, which was so tender and melt in the mouth. Washed down with a pint of their house stout! So many things on the menu that I wanted to try the only problem youll have is deciding what to eat. Highly recommended if you are in Cork!
I went to Cork for the weekend and this was the first place got my attention, well I had lunch and dessert and I have to say it was exquisite, so fresh and so friendly staff. Overall great experience I totally would come back again.
After seeing all the rave reviews and recommendations from our host we decided to eat here for our dinner. Do not have the Autentico by Convas organic vino ecologico wine. The wine tastes like vinegar. The steak was alright, the seafood pie was I thought very delicious. The chicken was a bit too dry and tough.
Excellent food. Had the seafood pie, bacon collar and the starter mussels. The seafood pie was filling although it didnt look like it was going to be. The seafood is packed into the bottom. The pie itself was a good texture with a crisp top and fluffy middle. The bacon collar had a good balance of flavours, sweet and salty. The mussels came in a coconut milk sauce that was one of the best Ive ever had. Just delicious.
