Homestyle American staples whipped up in a humble, country-style setting with counter seating.
Often on Wednesday, Market Grill has a "Waffle Wednesday" breakfast special, but even when they dont, we enjoy the breakfast steak, or Kens excellent omelets and hashbrowns. Ken is the artist with the grill who juggles breakfast orders for a whole restaurant on that single flat grill. We try to come every Sunday and Wednesday morning for his awesome food!
Thier burgers come from kanab meats, Ive looked into them and the meat comes from Canada in big chunks that they process - seems like a pretty good source. The staff here are all cool; cooks are skilled and waiters are caring. Im happily impressed they have plain olive oil and vinegar for my salad instead of sugary, junk filled dressings. Also, the value is high for the price so you def get your monies worth. One might call this place a gem :)
Classic food. Great prices and staff!
I ordered the Scottie Burger with steak fries and a Pink Lemonade. It was delicious!!
I had cornbeef hash and eggs it was amazing
Great breakfast, especially the early bird, biscuits and gravy and 2 eggs. Service is phenomenal, pies are very good. Love it here.
Great breakfast, minimal wait time and the waitresses were on top of it.
Horrible service, 45 minutes after order was put in they never came to refill drinks, check on us and still hadn’t started our food. Never got to try food because we had to leave and still made us pay for our soda.
The staff, atmosphere and food were awesome! I definitely recommend to anyone wanting to try this place
Food was good. Felt a bit crowded as far as seating arrangements.
Just good food, loved the country atmosphere.
Great food good people good prices
Great little hometown restaurant.Loved the food
Always great! Awesome staff and amazing food!
Good food, great prices. Served quickly . This was our first experience with Market grill . We will be back .🥰
Visited this place last year and wasn’t impressed with the breakfast. Ordered a side of sausage gravy that was stoned cold no sausage at all in it and tasteless so that just ruined the whole breakfast experience for me. But the home made pies are amazing so I give the pies 5 stars.
Amazing staff! I love getting the chef salad here! Always up to expectations and enjoy going to Market Grill -Leons Alignments
Service was terrible!!! My family and I went in on a Saturday expecting it to be busy and it was. We had a table of 10 and knew there was going to be a wait. When seated we were placed in two different tables, no worries. Luckily the people next to us were willing to switch with one of our tables so we could sit together. We let our waitress know and she was NOT happy with it and developed an attitude that would last the entire visit. I’ve worked as a server before I know how overwhelming it is to be stressed during a rush but know to never treat people poorly. We got our drinks and she came to took our order, snappily.Another waitress brought our food out and was pretty nice. Other lady didn’t check on us, someone in our party ran out of coffee and another their coke. We were asked once how everything was. The food was good, no problem with that. She never brought us the check or boxes. My family had to go ask for the check and boxes. Stilled tipped well but shouldn’t have because as we were leaving my family member told our waitress “have a good one” and she completely ignored him.Won’t be coming back.
Great service. Good home style food.
This place is one of the last great cafes. The staff is wonderful and the food just as good. Always feel welcome here
Usually there’s a wait but it’s always worth it. The hours have changed and google hasn’t updated it.
The food is really good the services was friendly there was just about a 40 minute wait for a table with most people waiting crammed shoulder to shoulder in the entryway
We came on a Saturday morning around 10am. We expected it to be busy and it was. Once we were seated it wasnt long before we had menus and our order was taken. They have a busy diner-vibe, but the food was worth the wait. Everything arrived hot, and my hash browns were really good (which is saying something because Im really picky with my hash browns). We decided to get some pie after our meal. My wife got the chocolate cream, which was really good. I got the caramel apple pie, but didnt enjoy it as much because I didnt realize it had nuts in it, which Im not a fan of. Prices are very reasonable.
Pros:Great food. Big portion sizes.Cons:Weird to seat yourself. Took a while to get service. Didn’t pay attention to who arrived first, so they took our orders later than those who came after us. Forgot my toast. Small, squishy building with few seats.
Ok, ate at counter, and steo is immediate when you get up. Fell and really hurt myself. So embarrassing. Fractured my wrist and ankle. Safety issue. Did not report because staff is really nice. But need to take care of the step. Go look for yourself.
Great banana cream pie! Highly recommend it for breakfast
This is a great place to eat. Food was very good. Excellent , friendly waitresses, neat country atmosphere, loved it. We ate there for 3 days, breakfast and dinner. Highly recommended.
Great down home cooking. I loved there pork chops. You can eat them with a fork. There home made dinner rolls come warm out of the oven for that nights meal. If your lucky girls the cowboys from the auction will be in there chattering about that days market price on there livestock. It Never fails you !!! Noon or night its a Great meal..
Not worth it! Where do I start! Lets start with canned green beans that were warmed barely in the microwave. They ran out of the ribeye at 5:05 p.m. so we got the New York strip. It was flavorful, and cooked right but it was full of gristle and was very tough. There are other places in town to get better meals, pick any drive-thru! I dont recommend this place and we wont be back. EVER!
Pleasantly surprised!!After being turned away from the Italian place across the road, being a part of 7 with no reservation, we called ahead here to see if they had seats available because the parking lot looked pretty full. “Not unless you want to sit at 2 tables,” was the reply. I kinda wanted to distance myself from the kids anyways, so we zipped on over. We were asked if we were the people that called in, and were immediately seated. While the menu is not large, what they do offer, they do well! We had ribeyes, fried steak, burgers, and soups, which were piping hot when brought to the table. They were so yummy! We almost ate everything! (Had to leave some for tomorrow’s lunch!)The server was very attentive, and came by often. When dessert was brought up, even though we we’re sated from our meaty entrees, we had to indulge. So glad we did! The best part of the meal!!We will have to make this stop again!! Thank you!
By far the best pancakes in my 4000 mile journey
Took us 10 minutes to get a table (not too bad for a busy Sunday morning), but nearly an hour to get food. We had 2 omelets at our table - ham and cheese and green chile. The cheese on both was sliced cheese product laid on top of the eggs. Yum, plastic-y. The eggs themselves were dry and overcooked. The green chilis were straight out of a can. The hashed browns were cooked through, but had NO seasoning, so very little flavor. Toast was very chewy. No idea why this place is so hyped. The waitstaff were very good, the food and wait was very bad.
The 1st time we were there the restaurant was under a different name, and The food was very good atmosphere was very good. 2nd time we were there the food was good but Is the atmosphere of ones particular person really messed up our experience. So the 3rd time we were there it was a much better experience experience and the food was delicious. And the company in the atmosphere was much better.
Great home style food. Excellent service.Banana cream pie to die for...😊and if youre a bacon lover, they cook it just right. Crisp, not soggy or crumbly overcooked.
We really try to support local, but sometimes they just cant hang. Being part of the stock yards I figured the ribeye would be exceptionally good, but honestly, I would rather have gone to Texas Roadhouse. I would have saved $10 too. My wife got a chicken sandwich. Same story. She wishes she would have gone to Chick-fil-A. Would have saved $5. The salad wedge was fine, but I would rather of had one from Outback. They were a bit of a mess as well. I got my dinner way before my wedge and ended up eating it as my desert. All in all, it wasnt worth the $40+ and frankly, it wouldnt have been worth even $20
The atmosphere the stakes the service worth going back for
Love little places like this where the waitresses and cooks are friendly, genuinely nice and the food is like grandmas home cookin!! So good!It was super busy when we came for breakfast and the waitress was still so nice and patient with my kids. Highly reccomend!
If you want a juicy, delicious steak, this is the place! Not only are the portions big but the seasoning is perfect as well. Comes with sides that are perfectly portioned, if youre really hungry that is! To top it off, youll get great service as well! Our girl was on top of it and they all seem to care about their customers and the quality of the food. Highly suggest this place for any meal.
Great breakfast, we come here often. The staff is amazing, as well as the owner. They know what we like and either bring it automatically, confirm it, or know what to suggest. They ensure the order is correct or they make it correct! Definitely one of our favorite places.
This has the BEST BREAKFAST!! It is really homie and they know there regulars. The service was FANTASTIC! The FOOD was amazing, I wanna also say who ever cried about the whole love thing, and the whole covid thing get out of here! The parking was cool the coffee was great! Everything was SUPER awesome keep up the good job! Thank you Market Grill.
A great place with amazing breakfast. The pancakes are a very large size and well cooked. The bacon was quality meat. The environment is also a really good place and homey. I strongly recommened.
THE local dining place. If you like country lifestyle, and country grub then eat here.Biscuits and gravy are the best!!!
Family friendly dining experience. Local flavor- feels like visiting grandpas house, except with better cooking! Friendly staff, great food and at a good price. If you come for breakfast plan on skipping lunch- large portions and very filling! One of my favorite places to eat in town. I regularly bring visiting family and friends here all the time and they love it too.
Probably the best place to eat breakfast in Iron County!! This is your hometown cooking. Very country-western. Only has one cook cooking at a time and he/she cooks in an open kitchen in front of the patrons. Food is much better than the big chain restaurants. Has all the American breakfast foods on the menu. The bacon is thick and fatty and always cooked perfectly crispy!! So good. The pancakes are thick and fluffy. However, the seating is limited to about 12 booths and tables, so there may be a wait at times. If you are visiting Cedar City, this is definitely a place you want to eat at to start your day!!
Absolutely no complaints. This wasnt just "diner food" this was GOOD diner food. Super flavorful, super good portions, and reasonably priced, too. Customer service was pretty good, too! Just passing through and stopped for a bite with family, and felt like I should review because we were pretty impressed.
Great diner in Cedar City. Opens up at 6am weekdays. Ordered manhandler and country breakfasts with a side of hashbrown, hot chocolate and tea, and it came to $21. Serves coke products. You know its a good place to eat when the local police are there!
I loved going for breakfast the bacon was the best ever and the burgers were great also. New management has cleared up the place but the quality of the food has gone way down. The bacon is fatty and tasteless. The burger is also fatty a cheap. Even the light fluffy fresh rolls now seem to be store bought and microwaved. It makes me sad to see the quality of the food suffer. We used to go once or twice a week. We havent been back in a while. Its off our list of places to go. Until the quality returns.
This is a Great American diner! We really enjoyed our burgers and we also tried the coconut and banana cream pies and a cinnamon roll. Everyone was satisfied and we hope to try breakfast the next time were in town. The service was great too!
Super friendly staff serving very flavorful food. The place reminds you of an old school truck stop on Route 66 including a full service lunch counter.
Really enjoy the nuance and super friendly staff with good food at good prices. A must goto place to put on your list of places to visit.
