Marion Crepes - Crêperie in Tokyo, Japan
Marion Crepes in Tokyo
Description
Cannot fault these! Delicious!
Absolutely amazing crepes! Im not a big fan of cream so chose the banana, choc chip and custard.. omg they were DELICIOUS. Their custard was really warm which I appreciated as other places put it in cold. I wish they were everywhere so I could have another one! Ten stars!
MoreGood crêpe, but a bit dry compared to the ones Im used to, in France. It was a sweet pleasure!
MoreFast service, central location, friendly staff great hot and cold options. The Nutella options are a separate menu that I’ll definitely have to go back for. Worth making multiple trips!!
MoreThe best Japanese style crepes in Tokyo. I learned that this marion crepes was thr pioneer in Japan. Definitely need to visit this place if you’re a tourist.
MoreYou typical sweet crepes, taste pretty good but nothing special compared to other crepe shops (at least the one that i tried - banana brownies)
MoreI loved all the different options that were available here. The flavour of the crepe was great - very sweet which I liked.
MoreThe most traditional crepes shop in Harajuku. All the crepes were 50yen off on the day we went. I tried the peach flavor. It tastes really good. The only problem is they dont have any place to sit. So if you go on a rainy day, be careful!
MoreOver-hyped. The crepe texture was not great, a bit cardboard-like. Many choices of toppings but the flavour just didnt wow me.
MoreThe cream is sooo good. I dont usually enjoy sweets, but the crepes was nice
Large wall of display crepes showing the different options available to you. They have sweet and savoury options available. Names of the crepes are printed in Japanese, and English. Reasonable prices for the Takeshita area. Dont be a rude westerner and walk and eat/drink at the same time. It really annoys the locals. They work very long days and dont need you spilling crepe contents on them in a very busy street. Buy your crepe and eat it in the quiet lane to the left of the store. The quality of the crepes is excellent. I highly recommend you give them a try.
MoreWorth trying in Harajuku especially if your having a food trip. I enjoyed as the crepe is really filled up. ❤ They have a lot of sweet and savory crepes to choose from. Just check the number of the crepe you want in their display or menu then say it to them and they will make the order right away. Worth visiting again.
MoreQuite good! 4/5 because they don’t list what’s inside the crepe, found mind had too much sour cream however overall it was really good- so many flavours to choose from!
MoreCrepes in general aren’t really my thing (too much cream and custard!but the ones we got from here were nice. The price is fair and they use fresh fruits. If you’re chasing the Harajuku crepe experience, I’d say this store has the best ones. They also have a huge range of flavours! Some of the others don’t portion very well or they use frozen/old fruit.
MoreI had the condensed milk green tea brownie crêpe and yes...it was as deliciously good as it sounds, a bit pricey but totally worth it. I hope to return over and over and try them all at least once (:
MoreGood crepe, a little pricey but they gave a lot cream!
Interesting cross between crepes and ice cream cones! Lots of flavors to choose from... tasty.
MoreThere is a black cockroach scurrying through the counter. I almost lost my appetite. The crepe is not hot enough, and the banana isnt fresh. I dont think this should be that famous and a must-try like others said. Very disappointed...
MoreTried banana strawberry and Nutella crep. It was very stale and below average. Just touristy. Not worth.
MoreOne of the many creperies on Takeshita Street - definitely delicious! I had the banana chocolate cream crepe which was as fulfilling as you’d expect! I even had a second at a later time! Don’t let the kitschy fake food display deter you - these are a worthy experience. :)
MoreSolid ice cream crepes, with multiple crepe vendors nearby. Many options that are numbered and labeled in English + Japanese. Staff doesnt speak English, but you only need to tell them which number crepe you want.Even though it was raining the day I went, it would be criminal not to grab a crepe while in Harajuku. Relatively cheap, worth it trying for the experience if you have never had an ice cream filled crepe before.
MoreThe hype was real... Dont get fooled by the people waiting there. The ice cream was disgusting. The crepe itself was ok. There was just a tiny bit of caramel and one piece of banana and strawberry. There are a lot of other options on that Street. Just go somewhere else.
MoreYou can get Marion crepes at multiple spots in the city, so you don’t need to grab one here. If you do, expect a lot of calories wrapped inside it. Anyway somehow it is fun to eat this here, as the street itself is already quite crazy. You will also have the fun to select from 50+ variations of the crepes! :-)
MoreCrepes are very delicious and large portion. There are many choices to choose.
Best crepes i ever had in my life ♡
5 stars because the crepes lived up to my expectations and service came with a smile. They’re large, and totally satisfied the sugar-craving child within. It’s easy to imagine the taste of the crepe when all the ingredients are laid out on display, so, no surprises.Their range is slightly different to the other crepe stalls around (which when browsing around put them in my favour because the flavours they had appealed to me more).I’m inspired by the tuna crepes (tuna, curry and cream cheese!?), and want to recreate them at home.
MoreEverything looks great on display, but the crepes tasted somewhat bad with almost half cream and half ice-cream. There are lots of options to choose from, so choose the ones without too much cream.
MoreCrepes aren’t really to my liking, but there are times when I like them. This particular crepe stand which is “hyped” about a lot, didn’t do anything special for me.It’s just crepes. But maybe I ordered the wrong type? You can try and make a great Instgram photo, but purely to enjoy a crepe? I would look elsewhere.
MoreHad the nutella ones which was delicious. Minus one star because there was no proper place to eat it. Japanese people don’t normally walk and eat too so customers tend spill over to temple entrance and other shop fronts, which was a bit inconsiderate.
MoreFinally got to try out these famous crepes and boy did they not disappoint! Try flavours with a slice of cheesecake in them for ultimate satisfaction. Enjoyed the quick and efficient service as well, minimal queuing time.
More4th visit since 2014. Still very yummy. Must visit if you are visiting Harajuku area for the 1st time.
MoreOne of the more popular crepe stores around harajuku. This shop has more than 100 variations available for you to choose from. Most of them are sinfully filled with whipped cream and drizzled with caramel or chocolate. English menu available!
MoreIts okay for a soft crepe type. But not exactly too memorable for me. The service is really quick though. You said the number of the menu you want, give the money, and your crepe will be out in a couple of minutes or less.
MoreIf you are hoping to get crispy crepes, this is not the one youre looking for. But if you like soft crepes with tons of sweet fillings options, sweet tooth people have to go! Have english menu and decent prices and you can also walk around there
MoreCrepes were made really well!! Just the right sweetness and so enjoyable!!!
My favourite shop with crepes. I like especially strawberry with ice cream. Price is ok, starting from around 450 yen.
MoreWhen in Harajuku, one must try a crepe. Unfortunately, aside from the novelty, theres not much more to say. The crepe was overly sweet and had was choc full of cream. Would not do this again.
MoreBest crepes on the planet. The staff understood our orders in English and the menus were easy to choose from. Each time the crepes have been delicious! The crepes have interesting and unique flavours to choose from.
MoreOne of the food shops in harajuku that constantly has queue. They have wide selection of selection of crepes to the point that you cant make up which one to choose from. They have visual presentation of their menu which are in English with assigned number. So when you order you just need tk mention the number of your order and pay.
MoreGood crepes good ice cream more of novelty than amazing dessert
Delicious freshly made Crêpe, enjoyed matcha ice cream+brownie+condensed milk! You can order by just saying the number of your desired Crêpe in English.
MoreVisited the stall in Harajuku during winter season and the queue was very long. The menu is clear and got English menu as well. Ordered tuna crepes (hot crepesand banana strawberry crepes (cold crepes). The cold crepes was more yummy compare to the hot one during winter season. Overall, it’s just normal crepes and nothing special about it.
MoreNovember 2017Was in Harajuku. Harajuku = Crepe. Wanted something chocolatey. Small line past noon during a weekday.Mr. Marion: Well, I definitely got what I wanted: delicious, decadent, chocolatey goodness! Not much more to say other than finding the blueberries unnecessary, imo. Conclusion: Take out the blueberries and lower the price. Still absolutely enjoyed every bite. Will I go back? Sure.Do I recommend this place? Yeah!
MoreThere was a relatively long lineup here of around 10 people and it moved fast like in 15-20 mins. They are speedy here and the crepe is fresh and tasty. Tried the green tea chocolat crepe and it was so good, with fresh strawberry and a few mochi. Really enjoyed the crepe and the ladies working had fairly good english skills, a plus for tourists. Overall, I would go back again.
MoreSo much to choose from! I liked it, but like many other places, theres always too much cream and not enough filling.
MoreVery good place. The crepes are totally different than the average crepe. They offer a plethora of crepes with different ingredients. The only problem is the lack of seats.
MoreGiven the wide variety and creativity of Japanese crêpes (and sweets in generalthe rather boring crêpes françaises fail to stand any comparison whatsoever. Its worth a shot if you are on a visit, you would be amazed at the volume of some crêpes. Bear in mind they are quite generous when it comes to cream and syrup, so make sure to ask them to be moderate if you dont want yours to be overly sweet. Those lacking a sweet tooth will find quite a few savoury varieties on offer as well.
MoreDelicious! A must if youre in the area. The Mr. Marion comeswith a brownie, chocolate ice cream and a banana.
MoreThe crepes are good for several reasons... lots of variety (tens of different flavors and variations), with a mix for every taste, and they are made right in front of you. The taste was good too! There is also a very small selection (2-3 typesof Tapioca bubble teas, which tasted better than many Ive had in Japan. The only negative is the lack of seating nearby. Most people chose to stand and eat in the adjacent (run-downside street. Sure, crepes are meant to be eaten on the go, but that isnt easy on the crowded streets and side roads of Takeshita street! Service was fast and efficient, and as long you dont expect to sit down you should enjoy the crepes here.
MoreI just love this shop, I make sure stop here at least once every time I come to JapanThey have almost a hundred different fillings for their crepes, some sweets and some not, some even include a slice of cake while some have curry chicken inside! For the really hungry ones, get the Marion #1000 crepe, its HUGE
