Absolutely delicious food & very friendly and helpful staff. Everything is very well priced and there is a large selection of tinned fish, pate and oils in nice packaging to buy.

Found this quaint place strolling down the street. Was recommended the taster dish and the house salad. Left my taste buds tingling and wanting more. Amazed how simply the food was prepared and the depth of stunning flavours. And superb service. A must if you’re in the area and are brave enough to try tinned fish and astonishing salads.

Worthy of 5 stars! Food was delicious, waiters were friendly and helpful, and the restaurant is cosy and feels Portuguese. Be aware only 6 tables, we were lucky as one free when we arrived! Not sure if you can book in advance, but worth trying!

Who knew tinned fish could taste so good!!I have had the pleasure of eating here more than a handful of times and each visit has been a joy.Service is friendly, punctual and experienced.Food is bursting with flavour and nicely presented.Atmosphere is pleasant. For such a small establishment the turn over of tables is obviously needed but while dining, there’s never a sense you’re being rushed.After several visits I’m still looking forward to my next one!Keep up the good work

The best restaurant in Portugal. Full stop.The service and care from all the staff are 2nd to none. And the food is unbelievably delicious and moreish. We want to try everything on the menu. There is food that would of never tried in my life but maria do Mar make it taste divine. No words can explain how good this place is. I wish I lived in portimão so I could be there everyday.

Stumbled upon this by chance and it turned out to be a very happy accident! Amazing food and great value for money. We had the burger, the bruschetta and a tasting menu for two.

Dont be confused with the times. On Google it says it is open till 1900.on the shop it says it is open till 1800. But they only serve food till 1700. Super disappointed. I heared that the food should be amazing..

Holly Mackeral!!!!! Like I totally food-gasmed here!!! The sardine salad- i was moaning, & then had the burger expecting it to be the 2nd nice dish but nope!!! Then my eyes started rolling & going blurry cos dear god- was it fricken delish!!!!! I was eating both bite after bite. Nearly cried at how well it all went together & there was nothing stingey with sauce in burger or in my salad. Portions- perfect!! Taste- beyond comprehension. Just such a well balanced menu. Going back tomorrow & day after for lunch - even if it a 30min jike uphill from where Im staying- but I just want to try all thats on the menu!!!! And man for the price- its just toooooooo gooood!!! Place is quite as hell too and theres all the cans & sauces etc u can buy & take home. Absolutely in Love!!! Will miss this place - one of those- dying request dishes.Forgot to mention the service!! Theres only 5-6 tables as it is a small place but the one waiter I had- think he might be the co-owner, was awesome!!! He saw how excited I was just to be there & try everything but just knew what I should order. He was like I got you!. And that he did!! I was going to order way too much as I was eye hungry but he was super waiter & started me off with the best stuffs & left it open to me if I was to be more hungry. Which I wasnt. Was fully stuffed & more so, super satisfied that i only wasted 3 leaves of my salad dish. The rest- in my big fat belly!!!!

Good twist on food served from a can. We liked the fish burger, sauce was very tasty. Unfortunately we got ripped with the bill, paying for things we didnt order neither ate.

You really have to try this!!! A small restaurant with excellent canned fish served in a way that I would never thought of!! Believe me you won’t regret it! Its also affordable and cozy. The guy that served us was really kind and he explained everything on the menu! I would definatelly come here again!

Very nice local shop where you can try canned fish. The selection of mackrels, sardines and tuna is very impressive. Very competent nad friendly staff.

Unfortunately we forgot to make any photos. Me and my partner we had a great lunch. We are originally from Italy, but have been living in England for long time. I literally miss fresh green food as the simple salad offered by this resturant. Staff is very friendly and we took what was recommended. Simple, healthy and gnammy!

Found by chance, has proved to be one of the best places in Algarve in which I ate. The walls are decorated with all kinds of canned fish, such as sardines, tuna and mackerel. It’s also possible to sit down and do a tasting in many different forms. I chose an excellent ad unforgettable sardines salad, advised by the very nice owner, as house speciality. Not to be missed!

This place is so simple yet so good. We had dinner at this place on two nights in a row, the best restaurant we ate at in Portimão. Very fair prices. Great atmosphere and the service was on point.

Absolutely amazing friendly owners and staff. And the most tasty fantastic food Ive eaten in years. Amazing choice of tined fish and pates beautiful bread . The flavours were to die for and I wish I lived in portimao so I could eat there every day. And super value for money. TOTTALY AMAZING

I would definitely recommend If you want to taste some local food (mainly sardinesin a business place with its own heart and not in turistik food factories in main turistik promenade on the shore. Very pleasant owner, low prises and amazing food. As a bonus huge sort of fish pates and cans for very low costs.
