Margarita's Mexican Restaurant in Conroe

While visiting friends in Conroe Texas we decided to take them out to eat. This was the best Texmex food I have had in a long time.

Friendly staff, giant margaritas, salsa for each person, food was very good.

I got the old world tacos and my mom got flautas. I left my phone at the resteraunt when we left and realized it 10 mins later. When I got back to pick it up the server had turned it in to the front. Thank god for honest people!!!

Not the same quality as years ago. Its average Mexican at best. Service top notch.

The food is good but the staff is not rude but they arent friendly either. And for some absolutely stupid reason they put taco salad shells, the ones that are like a cup, upside down and throw all the stuff on top of the bottom of it. Makes no sense whatsoever. The guy at the front told me thats their style and they do it like that on purpose lol

Great service great food. I havent been in 10 years. Its still the best in conroe. The nostalgia came flooding in and the food filled me up. Prices are high, for a reason. They are only 2 dollars more expensive than the place across the road. But the service was incredible and the waiter was probably the best Ive ver had. I would give 6 stars if I could.

Nice place. Service is great. Food was great and served hot. My drink was kept full though parking was a little crowded. But that is a good sign to me

Lunch is always great and a good value! 2 fajita beef soft tacos and the fixing for $10! Just wished they served Lunch menu on Saturday and Sunday!

A decent showing for a Mexican restaurant in Conroe. I always end up getting fajitas, but I have tried several other things from the menu. You should be able to find something you like here if you like Mexican / TexMex.

The BEST place to get a margarita!! Miguel, the bartender, is awesome!! He exemplifies customer service by his friendliness and attention. The cherry bombs are a nice touch! The rest of the staff are super friendly and bend over backwards to take care of you. If Miguel was gone, Id have to find a different restaurant because he makes the difference! The restaurant would lose a few customers if he was gone. Love this place and the food is good! Prices are reasonable, especially at happy hour for food and drinks.

One of my favorite places to go! I met my husband here on a blind date over 25 years ago. But I was a patron long before then. Best margaritas within a 100 miles or more. Presidente’ margarita can’t be beat. Miguel best bartender in Texas!

Good food and great atmosphere! Especially in the bar with Miguel during happy hour or any hour for that matter!

Margaritas its a Conroe classic. Always clean, always good, always dependable. What else do you need to know. Yes the food is good. Thats why they have been here since I can remember.

Miguel was phenomenal! He has the best personality and customer service, made the entire experience at the restaurant worth wild!

A great Conroe tradition. Margaritas is one of those places where Ive seen the staff since we were all younger in the 1990s!! Thats unbelievable. It says something great about the management and the business. You dont come here for great Mexican dining. You come here for fair prices Tex Mex. Enchiladas are solid, queso is among the BEST, nachos are yum, and really, any of the combination plates are pure goodness.

My family visited here for the first time this weekend and, I can honestly say the food is mediocre at best. It is pretty much a high price Taco Bell. We waited 15 minutes just to get chips thats even after ordering a queso. My mom finally had to get someones attention just to get chips to go with our queso. My mom and I both had a chicken chimichanga, and both tasted like bland boiled chicken. There was literally no flavor at all. Boiled chicken in a big tortilla with a VERY tiny amount of queso on top. My dad and my aunt both loved their food however, my mom and I didnt like ours at all. As for me, I wont return because, the price isnt worth the quality you get. The only reason Im giving this place a three stars is because, my dad and my aunt really enjoyed their food, if not for that I would have definitely given a one star.

Always a great experience with this place ... I have yet to come here and had a bad experience the food is always top notch and the service is fantastic very friendly and always on point .... a must try if in conroe ....oh ya the margaritas are seriously on point....

Im going to give 3 stars and heres why. The food was great. The service was good. I had eaten here before and had nothing but good things to say. So decided to take my girlfriend here as shes Hispanic and it was her birthday. I stand by those things. What Im not ok with is the roach that ran across our table and kept trying to come-back until I killed it. Foods still bomb.

It was my boyfriends bday 🎂 & they sang happy birthday to him & gave him a dessert, very friendly! We have eaten here for years! Still love the place!

Not bad but the brisket was a little bland and when I asked for bar b que sauce to spice it up I was told they dont use it or have any in the restaurant. How can you have brisket but no bar b que sauce

Weve been going here several years. We enjoy some of the happy hour margaritas. We have kept going because the servers are all nice and we especially request Esther or Robert because they know what we like. They are the main reason we go. Its reasonably priced compared to more high end Tex-Mex.

Large clean restaurant, attentive staff quick service little confusing as to whether it was a bar and then they decided to make a restaurant out of it I think that the Margaritas are the most important thing there but I could be wrong we ordered burritos that was a style Ive never had before the meat was good but it wasnt something you could pick up you have to cut it with a very sharp knife . overall I think its a pretty nice place . Its worth another try.

Food was pretty good aside from the hot sauce which seemed to be like the Old El Paso jar sauce. Service was great!

Called in my order to bring home. The #2, two cheese enchiladas rice and refried beans. A small bag of chips 16 oz salsa and large queso. This comes with a corn taco. My husband got the flour tacos. They have the huge glass bottle real coke. To die for. I have enough food for two extra meals. Very fresh and hot. I will be going back. Very friendly staff and on time with my order. I’ll be back.

Service was bad, food was nasty .. ordered salsa verde enchiladas chicken felt like it had sand , beans tasted like they were old .. chips were cold salsa tasted and looked like it came from a cane. golden Burrito tasted like tortilla was rubbery .. had a weird taste. .. we new to area looking to try new places .. definitely not coming back.. when we told the manager in charge he was trying to disagree with me and said I have not had a complaint all day and was upset with us and never apologized for the unpleasant visit. Also the waitress was rude and not friendly at hall she would just stand there when we asked questions. She acted like she didn’t wanna help us and when she gave us our food she just set it down and ran off and didn’t ask if it all looked good.

Fajitas burger was great! Highly recommended. Superior customer service. Dont miss out on this Mexican cuisine. It is the spot!

Nothing here really did it for me. Nothing was bad, but to my tatse everything was mediocre. Another issue that I had was the combination of food on the plates. I couldnt really find anything that had what I wanted on it. Usually not that hard at most Mexican food places. The guacamole was excellent and again, nothing was bad... Just not anything for me to get excited about.

If I could rate this restaurant zero stars I totally would. Starting off the chips and the salsa taste like they are out of a bag and a jar. Absolutely disappointing! When the food came out it tasted soggy, like it was microwaved. Next time I’ll just go to the little Mexican restaurant across the street and have real Mexican food!

Food was bad and plain, overpriced. It was like eating at Taco Bell. Service was awful. When I politely sent the food back, I could tell the server got upset and made a comment that now it would have to come out of his check. Definitely not coming back again, not worth the money at all.

The service was awful. Extremely slow. We asked for water and a hig chair 4 times. The food was way over salty. We ordered a queso as was.listed in a promotion and it was never served. The waiter argued we had already received it. The manager was no help either. I will never come here again

Amazing people amazing food been going since I was a child its a staple in our family. And generations new of ours go to now. Amazing place never disappoints.

Had dinner there tonight ordered pretty basic with a #2 & #21. Now we are both feeling sick and regretting our decision to eat there. Will update in a day or two.UPDATE we were both sick the next day, all day. Experience indicates its a mild case of food poisoning .WONT be going back.

I had a wonderful meal and great drinks. The happy hour margarita on the rocks was just right! The best part was our server Ivan was amazing ask for him he has top shelf service!

We enjoyed our visit with only a couple of disappointments. Their avocado did is not available at this location & the spinach enchiladas were very bland. Spinach should have a cream sauce like a cilantro sauce to set it off & the spinach should be a bit more flavorful. Our server was attentive & friendly.

Me & my bf go here every so often & every time we have a good time , always fast service and good food & drinks. 💙

Got chicken flautas with 3 extra. Rice and beans chips n salsa and cheese charro beans and guacamole salsa. I called and ordered ahead of time for curb side pick up. The curb side pick up is on the right side of the building close to the washiterea. It only took 10 min to get my order from the time i placed it. Food was awesome and fresh.

I have been here maybe 2 times. Both times, the service was great! The food was tasty and hot, and our order was correct.

Food is amazing - family atmosphere - friendly staff - reasonable prices.

José was our server, and he really made this trip memorable and extremely enjoyable. He helped me adjust a menu item to perfection and offered things ahead of us even asking for them. He was so tentative to us it was a breath of fresh air. Seriously Jose was second to none the best server we have had in YEARS.

The wait staff is great. The food looks beautiful. Then you taste it...like taco bell. Very cheap burger (probably comes in frozen...there were weird chewy pieces in it. The burger has a taco bell frozen feel and flavor

Make sure the service is nice?🍒 Miguel’s back must be tired because he carries the whole restaurant with his one in a million hospitality. You’ll find him behind the bar putting huge smiles on everyone’s faces. He made my date night with my boyfriend very special and it strikes me that he wouldn’t hesitate to do the same for you.🍹 the margaritas. A JUMBO for $6. These are not for lightweights 🥴 I’m normally a Houston diner but was in the area to hike and these margaritas were an amazing deal. We tried the frozen house, top shelf and the mango frozen 🥭 all three delivered a 🥊 flavor was decent/average- But these are more recommended if you are looking for a good timeThere is no doubt in my mind that we will be back. This place is perfect for dates, friends, family or just hanging out at the bar. Warm and fun ambiance 💃We ordered the fajitas for two $30 and they were delicious and a great value 😋 the rice also had a very authentic Mexican taste. Salsa needed more salt but it’s ok after adding a bit! 🌶 🧂

Good food and nice atmosphere. The chips just kept coming which is nice but can fill you up before the entrees arrive. Entrees were large and tasted great. The margaritas were good and the large one is pretty big. The service was great. Very personable and you never felt like you were waiting for anything.

Its typical Tex-Mex food, but its not bad if you like Tex-Mex. I really enjoyed the chimichanga, but I was intoxicated.The food came out surprisingly quick, and the service was quick in general. I went on a Saturday around dinner time and there was not a wait.The chips were typical chips and the salsa was spicy. Im okay with spicy food, so I liked it, the person I was with thought it was too spicy.The serving sizes were big enough to fill you up, but you probably wont have a to go box. The prices were appropriate.The atmosphere was nice.

Food was good. The service was good. Atmosphere was nice. It was your average Tex mex restaurant. They did have a great happy hour menu with good drink prices. I would go back for sure

GREAT - When you hear a Texan talk about great Tex-Mex, this is it! I eat here regularly. The food here is consistently good, the staff is always friendly, and the drinks are prepared well. I also like that this is another place where beer from a local brewery can be found. They have the Southern Star Pine Belt Pale Ale and their Blonde Bombshell Ale. Plus they have all the best Mexican Beers including Bohemia, Dos XX, Tecate, Negra Modelo, and Corona. They make a great Margarita and you may want to inquire about the Bandera Margarita they are terrific. For something a little different, try a queso flameado con chorizo as an appetizer (it comes lit on fire! ). I recommend this place to everyone!
