Margarita's - Mexican restaurant in San Juan, Puerto Rico
Chihuahua special nachos are absolute garbage. Tortilla chips with microwaved american cheese and big chunks of tomato on top.Place is overpriced and food not good. Margaritas are horrible. Poor quality and bad experience overall.
I like the food in this restaurant and they have ample parking. Good service and plenty on margaritas and other tasty Mexican drinksTry the pork stew burrito with cheese.
Great food and great service, a really authentic Mexican food
Food was excellent. I enjoyed the atmosphere and everyone in my party enjoyed their meal.
The best margaritas in town! The carnitas were great, too!
Good food and service.
The most basic Tex Mex Mexican food imitation. I felt like I was in a Mexican McDonaldβs
This has always been the best Mexican restaurant ive eaten in Puerto Rico, every time I try others they dont compare, best fajitas ever
Bad odor in the place. Good Service. Food was not that good.
Great food excellent service π π π
Top notch service, delicious food.
Good mexican food. Sercice can be improve!!!
Everything was delicious! Closest thing to real Mexican I have found in Puerto Rico. Fajitas were amazing
Valet parking, food & service are excellent. One os my go to places
The hostess was rude and on the phone on her blue tooth device the entire time. The waitress was very nice! The guacamole had no flavor at all. It was just mashed avocado, we had to ask for salt and lime, the beans had no flavor either. The tacos were ok, not great, same with the margaritas. Lots of room for improvement.
Good service, good food, love the margaritas and live Mariachis .
I ordered to go and the food tasted amazing an was great quality.
Great service! Great menu! Great atmosphere! First class! βββββ
The food was good but service was lacking. They took too much time in taking and bring out our orders. Not a place for a quick bite if hungry.
The food was good but not delicious. I spent $70 for two people and it was not worth it.
I am a frequent client of Margaritas for years. My family comes here to celebrate every significant event (job offers, promotions, graduations, wedding announcements and so on). The reason why we always come here is the spectacular service of Arcadio and employees, quality and taste of food. We love to start with the βsurtidosβ, margaritas & frappes (I love their Tamarindo version). Later we order the combination of fajitas and Alhambra. Food consistently taste great. The best thing of Margarita Rest is Arcadio!!!
Taking down a couple o starts. Quality of food has gone downhill. It was pretty much tasteless and too many fillings in the burrito but very little protein. Cheese was not even melted on a burrito suizo.
Nice and familiar place. Needs better decorations, a colorful one. Like a real Mexican restaurant.
Not the absolute best Mexican I have ever had but it sure comes close considering this establishment is so far south of the border it was refreshing to actually get somewhat authentic Mexican cuisine here in the caribbean. Some items on the menu are fresh where others were not so much as some items (ingredientsseemed to be recooked and or reheated. We had the famous suiza burritos π― carne molida and the carnitas (porkversions, the ThlalpeΓ±a soup π² and the chorizo cheese fondue π« that comes sizzling to the table. We also tried the house salsa with freshly fried tortilla chips and the unfortunately lack luster Pico de Gallo that feels more like it came from the fridge and not fresh from a cutting board. The tortilla chips come warm to the table & they are absolutely delicious. For dessert we had the Cuatro Cucharas that we absolutely loved. I would love to give this place another visit in the near future and try more of their attention-getting dishes. The service is sub-par yet warm and hospitable. Buen provecho!
Long drive thru wait (5 cars = 50 minutes wait time). When we finally order, they didnβt have queso fundido nor hard shell tacos. While ordering In drive thru window, I called Margaritas and ordered the queso fundido, walked to Margaritas, paid and got it, walked back to my husband waiting in drive thru for order, still didnβt have order ready (4 tacos & 2 burritos).
Even though the service was good the menu has suffered a serious reduction in the quality dishes I had been accustomed to have. It is very unlikely I will return and will seek another alternative Mexican restaurant.
Great place to go eat. Prices, food and service were outstanding. The only thing was that they ran out of mint to make mojitos but I am sure they will fix the shortages.Mojito time next visit.
Great prices, strong drinks, great food! Their salsa is so spicy and addicting and I was feeling the one margarita I drank! Also their guacamole is delicious.
The waiter was very nice and the drinks was very good. However, the food sucks badly. We had 5 people order 5 different things and no one liked their food.
I tried again but they failed from top to bottom. If youre in the Food Service industry please remember the Food and Service in it. Everyone on the phone instead of the tables!!!
The food and drink was great!
Great meal, chicken fajita. Great ambience, live mariachi. Great Margaritas. Great experience!
This is my second time going. And both times the food was excellent. The service the first time was great but this time not so much. Our waiter was in a rush. He started to take our order and half way he called over another waiter to take but that waiter was to busy so he called the hostess over to take our order. My husband and I felt very uncomfortable. Was given our food and had to ask for silverware. I usually give an 18% tip but gave less then a 15%.
Absolutely wonderful, delicious food, the atmosphere is amazing and words cant describe how great the Mariachi Band is. If your lucky enough to be in San Juan Puerto Rico highly recommend you visit.
Excellent service. The food was delicious. The place was super clean and have good parking.
Great area to talk with friends, good flavor and portions, live Mariachi Friday night.
Excellent service fresh food
Very nice atmosphere, friendly and warm place. My friend order tacos al pastor, the meat was tender and the cheese melted. I order the soup with chicken, cilantro, tomato, avocado and onions, simply delicious and healthy. I will be back tomorrow...the customer service great.
Very dissatisfied. We had a large group, about 12 seats, including two toddlers. Kids food came out right, taste was good and they were satisfied. The adult group order was another story. Apparently the order wasnt processed around the same time in the kitchen. Thus, about half the plates arrived and the other half we waited another 15-20 minutes. My plate presentation was very poor, came incomplete, and the corn tortillas were hard and cold (I had a fajita like plate). After waiting another 20 minutes for soft warm tortillas I cancelled the order. The gentleman taking the order was very apologetic and tried to please, but it was out of his hands as the problem seem to be in the kitchen. I am giving two π as he did tried to resolve the matter.Theres work to be done in the kitchen. I cant recommend it as my experience was not very good. Overall, I have no reason to try it again.
The service is good, considering that it was a busy day. The food is average to below average. I had to return a plate of fajitas because the meat had a strange consistency and it was basically bland. The cheese they use is a very low quality cheese product, not actual milk based real cheese. Also, they use cheap boxed juice for the drinks, so because of that I would say theyre a tad overpriced
Very Slow ServiceI had to wait an hour after I was seated to get the glass of water I ordered. The food came to the table 2 hours after we had ordered. That is ridiculous.I went with some co workers during the Tuesday lunch hour and some people in our group missed their meeting at work because Id the slow an inept service.I got my food first and my coworker got her food 30 minutes after mine. What was supposed to be an hour lunch ended up being 3 hours. The people sitting next to us arrived after us, were served their food and left before we got our appetizer. No apology from management nor servers. The food tastes good not amazing for the prices 15-20 dollar plates.I will not return to this restaurant. Please avoid this establishment.I will not go to their other restaurants next door either (burritos, tierra de fuego, etc.)
Didnt actually eat there because I was invited to a Birthday Party! They had a very interesting drink made with a Margarita and a small bottle of Corona beer called " Clavadita"!!! Great! I cant remember the name of what my cousin had made as a snack for the guests, but it also tasted very good with the drinks! We almost drove the waiter crazy but he did his best to please everyone!
There were gnats in our food, Food was cold, ordered fajitas and brought out carnitas. Didnt offer any kind of discount with the problems that occurred during our sitdown. Service was good and the chips where good. Wouldnt recommend.
The food is delicious but service is dismal. I have tried the place several times to give it a chance but its been the same story: waiters forget about you, avoid eye contact so as not to be called upon and I have to end up asking for items repeatedly. It detracts from the good food.
Great food and it was delicious. The salsa and chips was excellent and fresh. Easy parking available. They would have got a 5 star but the waiter service was zero, we had to keep on flagging him down and when we were ready to get our bill it took him about 15 minutes to get to our table. Not sure if he was having a bad day. Try it out the food was good.
Fresh food, good margaritas, fast service - will return. The outside looks like you could have doubts but the inside is light, airy, stylish and very nice looking. Lots of tile. The wait staff is attentive, we were seated immediately at 6pm on a Friday. But it got pretty full by the time we left.I had a combination dinner, taco, chalupa, burrito. All hot, fresh and worth $16.Coworker had a steak enchilada, also good.Worth a trip if youre feeling Mexican.
Best. Go with an appitite. Big plate with food serving. Prices are ok. Clean and neat place. Fast service.
Nice ambience, good location with valet parking. The food was tasty. The waitress, Waleska, was friendly at the beginning. After a while, she started to pass constantly by the table asking if everything was ok. Although, Im not sure if she really wanted to know the answer cause she kept on walking while she asked. I was under the impression that she was in a hurry, even though there was a lot of empty table and no other people waiting. Maybe, she just want to finish her shift.
Good food, very attentive staff, great drinks. Spacious, comfortable venue.
The food is fresh and good tasting. The mariachies are great. The environment is excellent. The prices are even better. It is a nice place to go alone, with your partner, family and group. You will enjoy it solo or accompanied. I highly recommend it.
