Marco Polo in Rawalpindi

Sunday Brunch hosted by me for 21 members of the family on 11 September 2022 . The overall standard of the services and taste of food was just satisfactory , waiters had to be reminded each time and didnt bother to cater for refilling. Its a source of embarrassment & utter discontent going through such an unexpected worse experience from a renowned 5 Star Hotel.

I am giving Marco polo PC hotel Rawalpindi a 1 star because of the name it carries and what it delivers against that.First, the high tea time was 4pm and they did not open the hall till 4:20pm because they were preparing. No respect of time.Second, the food is okay-ish i.e. not outstanding, not bad... but the high tea was pricey and the food quality did not justify the amount.Third, when I asked for tea, they pointed me towards the tea jugs, there were no spoons and sugar and the tea was cold already. Upon me asking for a spoon, they started to look for it and opened a locker to get the spoons.Fourth, they did not have bowls ready. I waited 5 mins to get a clean and new bowl.Fifth, the live singer... she started singing Jadoo hai Nasha hai... on 23rd March ! Someone had the good sense to tell her to shift to National songs which she did later.PC Rawalpindi management seriously needs to improve what Marco polo delivers against the cost.

Hmm well, quite noisy it is. High tea is good but needs some improvement like add something in desert, traditional and typical sweet items literally it was disappointing.

A big disappointment. The food was not fresh and had bad smell. I presume you pay here for ambiance which was again pathetic. The furniture I guess has been the same since it became PC from IC. Moreover the attitude of the staff was too rude. The only thing working well was hot plates. Will not advise anyone to visit and have food there.

It was bit of mix.Service is not the same at it used to be and the sitting arrangement was bit conjusted perhaps they over booked for their capacity.Food was fresh and presented nicely. We were left to enjoy our food and tea/coffee with.nice live music but had to ask time and again to fil up the empty dishes .Bowls were also missing in the Chana chat and Gol gala corner . Would recommend the Managment to improve service and yeah go there again.”

Serivce needs to be improved, very less staff as compared to capacity and occupancy of the guests causing poor services despite prior event booking

Meal is good and tasty. Environment is good. But tooo expensive place.

Highly recommend! Courteous and professional staff and on top of that very tasty food. The salad bar, the sweet bar and the main course counters are excellent. Live music is a cherry on top.

Went for high tea and was disappointed. Very average items. Some looked stale I.e. the chicken patties were hard as rock. Never going there for high tea again

Not much dishes, standard of food and sitting area of morco polo and bukhara buffet is not match with the standard of Pearl Continental Rawalpindi, even table chairs are not match with PC, fish taste is not up to mark, everytime to fill plate have to ask person to fill or refill(seems awkward), person must have to fill his plate by himself. Food taste is fine.

Good ambiance. Fancy sitting. Good choice for mild spicy food lovers. Not recommended for spicy food lovers.

Marco polo is a good place to visit.... It has nice place to sit.... Food quality was amazing.... And prices were affordable...

Good place for Hi-Tea. Now a days 40% discount on Faisal bank debit and credit card.

Food was not fresh specially Burgers ordered for kids. Fries were burnt. Rest things were fine. Only serving desi food that day. It was first day after lockdown.

Marco polo, a restaurant in Pearl continental hotel Rawalpindi, is a great restaurant to spend some quality time enjoying the food and ambience. Hi tea buffet offered at this restaurant is superb.Quality of food and variety of food items is great. The variety ranges from snacks like subway styles burger, sandwiches, patties, to desi snacks like samosa, pakora dahi bhallay, fruit chat etc.Similarly chicken tikka, chowmein, fried fish and haleem etc. can be found as main course items. There is a good variety of desserts which are very good in taste.You can enjoy good live music while eating. Environment is very nice and relaxing.Overall its a good experience to enjoy food at Marco Polo restaurant in pearl continental hotel Rawalpindi.

This was my third vst, i suppose and air conditioning was never up to the mark. It always felt that they wanted early exit of guests. Food was good.

Great place to dine with friends and family for buffet dinner and lunch. Very hospitable staff and very serene environment.

Visit to marcopolo was in ramadan .overcrowded. buffet menu is limited and below ordinary in taste except few items. Resturant is understaff too to serve the no if guests. Should also cater to the kind of guests who hv basic manners how to sit , eat in a five star hotels.

Tasty and hyginic food.lavish variety on break fast,lunch and hi tea.

Excellent food choice and superb quality, highly recommended buffet for lunch or brunch especially! The staff are extremely helpful and come to your service whenever needed. A calming ambiance and live music singers make the experience more enjoyable!

It was good to be there, but I am sure they can improve their menu.. But overall the ambiance and customer services were very good.

All Day Munch..Lavish Menu; but lacks requisite balance.Juice & Lassi: a plus.Chef Special included Pasta; but I think chef prepared Pasta for the first time in his life, that too, without knowing the recipe.No prawns, no BBQ: negative.Karri Pakora and Haleem also exposed lack of proper cooking staff.Manchurian deserved a Chinese rice dish.Variety of Desserts : ➕Kids Section: though a good idea, but needs at least a couple of more items for kids attraction.Conclusion : Bukhara emerges as a much better choice at PC.

Okay so this time my stop was at PC Marcopolo. Located in the heart of city, mall road, PC has its own attraction. Well like every place has some short comings, this place also has one, yeah they do not have spacious parking but this problem is catered with the valet parking service. Okay so coming back to my visit to Marcopolo. All day munch, a relatively new concept introduced by Marcopolo in twin cities, is worth trying. With the improved food quality and variety of dishes all day munch cater your food cravings.Okay so they really have a lavish menu and it really has variety in it. Last time my experience at their Hi-Tea was pathetic. Literally I m saying it was pthetic and I was like mein idhar kia khaoun?. But this time they amazed me with the variety and quality both.I started with Biryani. It was really nice and spicy. Generally you dont find good biryani but it was pretty good. Chicken boti was nice, well tendered and spices were equally balances. Stuffed shami kebabs were also nice. Spring rolls were extremely delicious but were cold, so this was a small disappointment for me. They tasted extremely good but... Mini beef shashlik with smoky bbq sauce was a nice addition to the menu. The bbq flavored sauce was so good, I can still feel the taste. Seafood newberf with steam rice was the only fail dish. Trust me it was difficult for me to finish few spoons of that dish. Grilled chicken pepper sauce was best, I REPEAT THE BEST. The sauce was so delicious and chicken was so well tendered. Trust me I can eat it for rest of my life. Assorted sauteed veggies are always my favorites.Trust me, no place offer chaat section better than marcopolo. Theyve got the best paani puri aka gol gappas, dahi bhallay, chana chaat, salads.Ill give 5/5 to chaat section.This is the place you would love if youre a meetha fan. Thr variety and the taste, its spot on. Highly recommended.

We were at All day Munch and it was good. Taste was not upto that much standard which seperate order gives you but Its good place to sit, eat, talk and enjoy. Live music in evening is also love.

Quality has deteriorated over the time... staff start taking their customers for granted at times. In general, still better option when none other is available in the vicinity!!
