Gadime e Poshtme, Pristina
Vast underground cave with dramatic limestone stalactites & colored mineral crystals.
tall people would be advised to be careful.
Beautiful cave.
Small cave with no guide/self-guide notes to go around
Arrived at 11:50. Was informed they were closed for a "pizza break" from 12-1. 😡
This place is awesome. The lady working there was so welcoming, and you can go in at your own pace without needing a tour guide.
Nicee to see on the way
Great half day tour, including transportation. If you want to get there from PRISTINA by bus, you need to take one from Bus station, platform 10, going approximately every hour, the ride takes 45min-1hr. You can find the schedules online, but the departure is usually around 40mins after every full hour. Bus ticket price 1.5eur, expect to be asked to change to minibus on the way in LIPJAN, but the locals will explain and help you. When you arrive, please mind that the caves are open until 4pm and there is a lunch break 12-1pm. There is averagely priced restaurant just by the caves, also a supermarket and bakery. The guided tour (usually in Albaniantakes approx. 25 mins, but its totally worth it. Entrance 2 euro.
Such an under rated place in kosovo. 2 euro enterance fee at the time of posting this. But the lady did not take me for a guided tour. Maybe i should have asked? Or its their new policy?
A miracle of nature. Quite impressive. Definitely worth a visit.
Worth visiting. Since its a "recently" discovered cage it has been for most of the time protected from looting. Therefore it offers a unique view on several untouched stalactite formations. Guiding was professional and informative. It was interesting to learn about massive amount of time it takes to form those stalactites. Bonus, the cave is both damp and naturally heated during winter months.
will recommend to everyone to visit. staff very helpful cave very clean.
Nice place to visit.
Nice cave . Highly recommended
Gate , good place ti visit 13-8-2021
Well worth a visit. Very walkable inside and fascinating limestone formations. Excellent cafe next door
Informative. Interesting geological site.
This is a must see! You can book a tour guide but we went alone. It is quite beautiful inside.
Wow! I cant wait to visit it.
Very nice cave to visit. They will guide you with a group inside the cave explaining everything... worth to visit.
Amazing place, a must visit. The ticket was 2 euro.Inside of the cave you will be amazed.
It was amazing! Definitely worth to visit this beautiful place!!
Very interesting cave experience not to be missed while visiting Kosovo. This was our alternative goal due to bad weather for Sar planina/mountain. It was discovered in 1967 and what I do not like is that floor is paved with concrete. I do not know the reason but for me it is not natural. Cave is from Paleozoik and there are extremely rare Aragonite crystals. We had guided tour in English with short history of the place and all highlights.
The cave used to be WAY bigger. It took us multiple hours to go through it twenty years ago. Now it is extremely small (it only takes about 20-40mins to go through itand there is no water area inside the cave anymore. At least it was a nice experience. We had a guide too.
Amazing experience. Beauty of nature & very professional stuff.
Nice place to visit. It’s a quick tour but not expensive and quite nice to see.
Pretty neat little place in the middle of seemingly nowhere. Worth the detour if you have the time - the entrance fee was 2 euros at the time of this posting. The tour takes about 30 minutes, and is obligatory. The restaurant out front is reasonably priced and has free WiFi for those who dont have data in the country.
Cave with unique features in its interior composition. You must definitely visit!
Very interesting place. Well worth the 2 euro entrance fee.
Amazing to see, our female tour guide was very informative & spoke good English. You notice the drop in temperature the deeper you go into the caves. It will take at least 20 minutes to walk around the caves. Staff were all very polite, helpful & friendly. Nearby there is a local cafe where you can get steak, salads, pasta or pizza. They also sell alcohol & soft drinks. Our Kosovo salad was beautiful. 👍 🥗 So was the pizza 🍕
One of the TOP locations for visitors in Kosovo. Highly recommended
A great place to see the nature and history of Kosova. The guide explained the history and stories that took place in and surrounding the cave, it was fascinating.
The Cave was interesting. A real proof on how humans ruin the nature.... ☹️☹️🙁
Fascinating place. Guide didnt speak english but an american/kosovan family helped us with the translation step by step. Kosovan people are nice
Fun place to visit, especially for those who enjoy mineral caves! There is really no guided tour, just someone who will usher you in and make sure you leave. You may or may not be allowed to stay more than 20 minutes, and you may or may not be able to explore certain areas. In 2018, entry is €2 per person. A bus from Prishtina costs €0.50, just ask to be dropped off the Gadimes caves (shpella gadimes). You can flag down any bus to return to Prishtina.
This is the biggest cave ín Kosovo and the cave is very nice and quite big, mire thanks 700 meters with nice stalagnits and stalagtits. Staff was perfect.
Very nice and interesting place. Adult ticket is 2€.
Great place to have a swim hihly recommend it you need a vessel to get there not a beach.
It was nice visiting it! Some cool stuff inside with a constant temp of 13’C through all seasons
Overlooked and somewhat difficult to get to without a car, this is a fascinating cave with low-key interpretations and research. It could stand an update, but well worth a stop if you have time.
About 25 min drive away from Pristina. 2€ the ticket. You get to have a guide. Take a warm coat.
Very cool inside perfect for hot summer days.
Nice Place. Not very good Person showed us the cave.Good restaurant in front of it.
Gorgeous place. We had private guide tour because the bosss boss personaly showed us over the cave. Thank you very much for this 😊
Disappointing. Its a tiny cave and the opening hours are not easy to understand. It was closed when I got there at 3pm, so a random guy who worked there let me in and showed me around. He charged me 4€. Do not go there.
This cave is very beautiful. It was discovered in the previous century. It is located not so far from Prishtina. I liked the cave more because of the tour guide that works there. He was speaking several languages and knew lots of informations about the cave.
Very interesting cave and super cheap as well. The tour was only 2 euros per person!
- awesome cave- totally worth it and entrance is cheap- you get a guide too
Fantastic place to be visited, only 20 minutes drive from Prishtina...
It is rare and a must see marble cake. It is interesting how these things are built inside by mother nature
I love this place Everytime I visit kosovo I check it out to see how much they have explored
